Baboon burglars: Tribe of monkeys loot a fruit truck in Algeria

[ENGLISH.ALARABIYA.NET] In a rare incident, a group of wild monkeys attacked one of the cars loaded with fruit bags in Algeria.

The monkeys pounced on the truck and took the fruit bags and ate their contents. The chaotic scene led to the road’s closure.

A video clip posted social media showed the incident taking place on a highway connecting the eastern cities of Bejaia and Jijel.

The cities of Bejaia and Jijel are one of the most common areas where wild monkeys live because of the presence of dense forests.

These cities receive annually thousands of tourists who come to see monkeys nearby.
