Kabul Police Continue to Arrest Suspects in Farkhunda's Killing

suspects are going to be sent to the court next week.
Despite arresting nearly 50 people including several police officials, the police have still been unable to arrest 11 main perpetrators involved in killing of Farkhunda -- the 27-year-old girl who was killed and burnt by a mob last month on the accusation of burning the Holy Koran.
Sources told TOLOnews that Saiful-Rahman, one of the key perpetrators, was arrested on Wednesday.
However,

five other main perpetrators including Padshah, Habib-e-Deh Afghanan and the custodian of shrine are yet to be arrested.

the fact finding committee reveals about immoral activities being taken place in the Shah-e-Do Shamshera Shrine of Kabul, where Farkhunda was brutally killed.
According to the committee, sex tablets and condoms have been found from one of the rooms in the shrine which was closed after the tragic incident occurred.
The committee members, however, demand open trail of the suspects following fears about possible interference into the court verdicts if the sessions held behind the closed doors.
"People are worried that the case may turn political or the court treat the case unlike to the facts, therefore, the suspects must be tried in public," a committee member Fawzia Kofi said. "Some sacred places are never investigated, but the things discovered there [in the shrine] indicate about immoral activities."
However,

president's office reiterates to bring all the perpetrators to justice.
"Government is committed to take serious and solid actions against those who took part in this horrific act," president's front man Ajmal Obaid Abidi said.
Furthermore, the Ulema Council has also announced support to government's stance in dealing with the case according to the laws of Afghanistan.

the Criminal Investigation Department of Kabul Police vows to arrest the remaining people who played a key role in killing Farkhunda.
Since her brutal killing, the Afghans around the world have been staging rallies and protests, demanding the Afghan government to bring all the perpetrators to justice.
