SC turns down Saulat Mirza appeal against return of second review petition
|
[DAWN] The Supreme Court on Tuesday rejected a petition filed by death row convict Saulat Mirza against the return of the second review plea.
Chief Justice Nasirul Mulk presided over an in-chamber hearing of an appeal against a decision of the Supreme Court office to return the second review petition by hit man Saulat Mirza who is to be hanged at Machh Jail in Balochistan
...the Pak province bordering Kandahar and Uruzgun provinces in Afghanistan and Sistan Baluchistan in Iran. Its native Baloch propulation is being displaced by Pashtuns and Punjabis and they aren't happy about it...

The court office returned the petition, filed by Advocate Sardar Latif Khosa on Jan 6 on behalf of Saulat Mirza, on the grounds that a three-judge SC bench headed by Justice Syed Deedar Hussain Shah had already dismissed the earlier review petition on March 9.
Advocate Sardar Latif Khosa then submitted a petition challenging the office's decision to return the petition however the court rejected the petition, reinforcing the office's objections.
