#5 With dropping birthrates, more kids out of shape from sitting around playing games and eating junk and a general sense of being introverted from the newest generations... I can see all western nations bringing back a limited conscription to keep their military numbers up.

#6 I can't think of a more certain way for politicians to lose an election than to reintroduce the draft, especially for purposes of waging wars of aggression in parts of the world where we do not belong.
