#1 While at my age I could care less what will happen in 10 years. Official Oil Industry data currently puts all "known" oil reserves, at rate "current" use, around 41 years. But as many 3rd & 4th world nations are quickly grow up, the use of oil will only dramatically increase and that 41 will be quickly reduced.

So the Playstation/Xbox generation better be looking into realistic viable alternative energy sources now.

Because, when everything involved from mining to producing an EV and its hazmat disposal is taken into account. An EV actual has a worse final carbon footprint than Gas

#2 But even as demand increases, there has been in recent years a burst of new reserves found and being exploited — early trend leaders being Israel (!), Egypt (!!), and Cyprus (!!!), but others even more unexpected and far flung are being reported. This will matter to my children and grandchildren, even when I am no longer paying attention.
