#1 I thought in the 80s the American housing areas should have been set up just outside of artillery range from the border. My figuring was the the 'shock' troops would be slowed down for at least one day or more just looting the place.

#3 Seems someone could manufacture a bunch of phones, laptops, or flatscreens, that would explode after 5-10 minutes of use and leave them strewn about the likely path of the invaders.

Seems an effective Intelligence agency could spread rumors that such a thing exists and has been deployed to slow down the looting.
