#1 ...Thought experiment: Reserve one seat on the SCOTUS for former Presidents (they could not be Chief Justice). When a President leaves office, they must serve for a minimum of six years.

If nothing else, imagine the fun of watching some people defend what they did while in the White House.

#2 Term limits. A republic does not need 'princes' that sit for life and are unaccountable to the people after they have evolved their office into an arbiter of power, as in living breathing Constitution, rather than the guardians of the written Constitution.
