#4 One can argue the causes ad infinitum, but the Afghan National Security Forces have essentially flunked the course.

The U.S. should engage ISIS for sake of destroying them and their jihadi ideology wherever it surfaces. This fight is much, much larger than Iraq.

#7 The key to winning against ISIS is having leadership in Washington who have the will and commitment to do so. We haven't seen that for more than 70 years. "Winning" is not in the vocabulary.
