#2 in world war II when we couldn't tell enemy from friend among the German and Japanese parts of our population we put them into internment camps, across the five-eyes.

I think we should do this with muslims until the war ends. Free to leave if it means returning to country of origin never to return. Otherwise wait out the war in internment camps.

The operative word is 'citizen', immigrants (Italian and German) who had not been naturalized were initially interned. What we know now with the release of the Japanese diplomatic traffic in '95 is that the consulates claimed sympathizers in the local communities to include the West Coast where between LA and Seattle accounted for over 90 percent of all American aircraft production.
