#4 There was an interesting comment from the EU and Israeli group that signed that Middle East and Africa free trade zone thing right before France and England led the charge into Egypt and Libya! They really crapped on Turkey, was this all worth covering up for a French has been because he took money from MU MI and crapped on Turkey kinda giving the whole plot away? Pink Paper!

#5 Erdogan seems to regard ISIL somewhat like your next door neighbor that has a Rottweiler running loose in his yard: as long as it stays on the other side of the fence, maybe not a bad thing.
The Turks have be trying to end the Kurds for at least a hundred years; he figures the Rottweiler can do his dirty work for him. Between Turkey's hostility, and our own government's passive-aggressive foreign policy, things don't look good for Kurdistan.

I'd see an opportunity here to do Turkish things. ISJV vs Kurds is a good thing. In fact, I would set up a travel route for recruits to pass through Turkey in a manner which buffers against Kurd territories, so long as I get my cut from the traffic. I would have a wish list of nearby Syria locations to permanently temporarily occupy for humanitarian reasons when the ISJV vs. Kurds gets ugly for TV and I could roll in the military and get a pass for true war (actually using artillery, cluster bombs, kill the other side not degrade). On the other side, via McCain's mumbling yesterday, I would take a cut of the equipment being sent to Team Not Assad from the USA/West, not really caring if they are a storefront for ISJV, which works in Turkey's favor, or fight Assad, which also works in Turkey's favor. I'd use the umbrella of NATO so that if any of those actors gets frisky, I get at least a pass and monies to act with the possibility of military assistance.

I continue to consolidate power at home. Use the opportunity to get my people into military, police, and imam positions. Continue to tack towards stricter sharia as it gives me cover to expand powers over the polis.

Then, with Ukraine vs. Russ, ramp up transit fees for US/NATO to use the William J. Dardenelles turnpike. "Gotta pay for the increased security, wouldn't want some rebel group, Kurds wink wink, to ambush your surface ships." At the same time, I would send an agent to Russia and start bidding on a price & plan to have the passage accidentally closed by mines & ambush or bigfoot, whatever plausible, at Putin's convenience. Then ask for a counter offer from NATO to get it re-opened. Rinse, repeat.

Cyprus. I would edge around there and attempt to get a foothold on those energy pockets or at least a fee for not dingling. Host another Israel blockade run and let them go or sell the info for a price; either way I put on notice to Israel that I can put them in print anytime I allow, working off the entrenched media storyline.

By doing this, I think I can play ball with Iran by Kurds dying. I can play ball with Russia by not toppling Assad with the idea that when it become icky enough I can smash ISJV and round up the agents on my jihadi highway and turn over info on recruitment stations in and around Russia. I can play ball with NATO/USA by co-opting with their media concerns. In the meantime the Kurds and the Israelis get sand in the cogs.

Am I off? Miss anything? Any ops/concerns vs. Egypt or Sauds?

If Turkey believes it can smash ISJV any time it wants, it is in for a shock. Erdogan has been purging the non-Islamist generals in his military for several years. (See Al-Maliki and the Iraqi Army to see how well this policy works)

If they continue this game, they will find themselves wishing those peshmerga were still alive.
