#10 #6, yes. We are. Sorry about that. It seems we have a president who means to run us into ruin.

#12 #6 - we weep for the death of an American hero in such a worthless manner - supporting a military action that neither our POTUS nor Afghans are willing to support wholeheartedly.

Do you weep for brave Ukrainians killed by your Putin-loving thugs? I thought not. Pick that stick outta your own eye first

#13 Frank, he is a good example of most Europeans. They never understood us, never will. We come to their rescue over and over again, provide security for decades, spend billions of dollars and national treasure. Yet they cant wait to criticize our culture. We are demanding, we cowboy up, we are violent, we understand that to keep enemies at bay we must remain the most violent force on earth. We take pride in our victories and shame those that abdicate power. They will never understand us like they never understood vikings... I pity them and their lack of maturity.

#15 Proper response would be to bomb to rubble the ISI HQ in Rawalpindi on a business day when their generals are IN.

#17 Yokay, I'll bite, ISN'T THIS NEWS FROM 1-1/2-to-2 WEEKS AGO.

Either Washington + aligned MSM-Net are deliberately delaying the release of bad news, or somebody is playing PSYOPS/PYOPS???

#18 This is, as with the loss of any soldier, a tragedy. I send my condolences to his family.

His rank though does not elevate the loss above that of any other soldier. Today our military training program is so robust that Schwarzkopf related in his biography, that the introductory speaker to his session of "orientation for new general officer" class said that if all the members of the class had perished on the way to the school, he was confident that the next rank of senior Colonels could easily replace them.

This hasn't always been true, and it need not remain so, but for now, we are blessed with talent. So let us morn the soldier, not his rank.

#19  Joe M - every news site I can find states this happened today. A Lt. General was killed in the suicide attack on the Pentagon on 9/11.
The death of MG Greene is not only about that of a soldier or of a high ranking officer, but also highly relevant to the mismanagement of the war in Afghanistan. And that is not all due to Obama.
