#1 Remind me again about what it is precisely we, in America ,NEED in Afghanistan.

It isn't Oil. It isn't Tajiks and Pisstuns, and Yarks. It isn't Turbans and moslem shitoons and Barf. It isn't their Educational institutions and their friendly large dogs. What exactly IS it?

We want to sell all the Afghan Heroin they manufacture and grow to Iran? Come on, tell me.

Its their beautiful women? No? Don't you like fat girls in dusty black bags ? The camels then? No. The donkeys ?
The exotic smells of the bazaar..

Iraq was "the bad war." Afghanistan was the "good war." Unfortunately, the usual military industrial complex fed quagmire evolved and drone zapping became an entertaining, Oval Office alternative to round ball. Once UBL was ~~bought and paid~~ dead and the political capital harvested, the new wore off rather quickly. Believe me when I tell you there is absolutely nothing there which directly, or even remotely impacts our national security.

#5 Karzai is trying to figure out how to keep his skin, any power he might have, and all the boodle he's acquired over the years from the U.S. What's happened to the stand-alone police force and army that we trained or did that turn out to be a myth?
