#1 I like such simple, effective examples. Art Laffer has a simple two farm economy example: ...imagine we have two farms, and thats the whole world, just two farms. If one of those farmers gets unemployment benefits, who do you think pays for him? You can't bail out one farmer and not end up hurting the other farmer.
