#1 I found it interesting that the young lad called the attacker "Arab". Meaning he considered himself "not-Arab".

That meme was established shortly after Saddam's fall and it seems it took a hold.

#2 Kurds are not Arab, nor semitic of any variety. And they're often a bit more educated and sophisticated theologically than many tribal Arabs, although that varies from place/culture to place/culture.

#3 Actually, I blame the Imam in this case, because he should have given a referral, instead of just denying treatment.

And if the guy looked dangerously kooky, send him on an extensive wild goose chase, to do things, perform rituals, that he must do *before* he can be exorcised.
