#1 This may not end well for either Israel or the Paleos as the PA repor is complaining about not getting much of $$$ or dev aid, etc. from Regional Arab-Muslim Govts.

Once again, the PA should NOT be surprised as many of thier fellow Regional Muslims view the Paleos as "ISLAMIZED CANAANITES" [read,"ISLAMIZED HEBREWS/JEWS" + RELATIONS therefrom]despite their common Muslim faith.

A FICKLE THING INDEED FOR BOTH ISRAELI + PALEO.

#2 the PA repor is complaining about not getting much of $$$ or dev aid, etc. from Regional Arab-Muslim Govts.

It's donor fatigue, JosephM. Last year the UN was only able to deliver about 52% of the aid that had been pledged at the beginning of the year. As for the Arab governments, they have never delivered on their commitments, although they've always talked big.

#3 Maybe the Israelis will help the Gazans build their own nuclear power plant.

#4 Gazooans have overpumped their aquifers, so they have gone brackish. Israel supplied water and electricity to Gazoo in accordance with the Oslo agreement. Gazoo was represented by the Palestinian Authority. There is no more PA, as Hamas has taken over the show.

So what to do about water and electricity for Gazoo. They seem to have 3 choices:

  • Work out another agreement with Israel

  • Set up a reverse osmosis plant to get potable water from the sea.

  • Get water from Egypt.

  • Based upon prior history with Israel: shooting rockets into Israel, and not paying fuel, electricity, or water bills kinda kills that one.

Who is going to pay for the capital and operating costs of an RO plant? So the second one seems not viable.

As far as the third option, they would not pay Egypt if water was supplied, so Gaza has created itself as a self-fulfilling screwup. Actions meet consequences. Good luck.
