#2 As anyone whos been in Afghanistan knows, recently-cashiered Gen. Stanley McChrystal waged a jihad against fast food and other creature comforts for the troops because getting such luxuries into Afghanistan took up valuable cargo space that could be used for vital equipment.

Really answers the sophomoric journalistic [I know I'm repeating myself] question.

#6 I think the troops are well worth the money and cargo space too give them a slice of home. I;m sure the higher ranking officers have their comfort staples while their like liqour.
