#3 One would think Russian airliner parts are cheap and plentiful just by picking at the thousands of derelicts sitting on airport tarmacs all across the FSU. Perhaps some imam forgot the bless that aircraft (for a fee) so allan did not smile down upon it.

Pardon, but I'm in a mood today. I read the headline as the first illustrates, scratching my head. Editors & copywriters sometimes deserve to be waterboarded, such as the case when "SUV kills pedestrian" or
"SUV plunges into canal, killing 7 people inside." (Damned suicidal SUVs)

...in which case the following headline makes more sense for the above article:

"Russian plane crashes on landing in Iran; all survive"

...as survivors of a Russian-manufatured plane involved in a crash are usually unlikely to view blue sky again without 'Parfum d'embalmment' & open casket.
