Wehell, when PATTON slapped a soldier, he was roundly criticized despite the fact it was an old and accepted medical technique for getting a soldier out of "shell shock". Patton's only real crime was that he wasn't a trained or certified physician or psychiatrist.

#3 This should NOT be seen as some sort of new developing trend or phenomenon! The US Army has long been a Petri Dish for diversity and affirmative action. Filing a complaint through the chain of command or prompting a Commander's Inquiry regarding a person of colour or of the Islamic faith will generally be ignored and the complainant labeled as racially insensitive, bigoted and the actual problem.
