#1 McDermott's probably not up for reelection, but his party can't be thrilled with the ammunition he's given their oponents.

#2 When asked about yesterday's Pledge incident, Mr. McDermott's spokesman, Mike DeCesare, said his boss "hesitated, unsure of what he should do because the words 'under God' are under court review." Mr. DeCesare confirmed that his boss did omit the words.

McDermott is an inconsequential treasonous moron.

Baghdad Jimmy. How does he keep winning his district?

#3 Robert C. - McDermott is up for election unless he decided not to run.

#4 McDermott is an ass.

If you remember back when Newt was speaker of the house and an 'american citizen' (in this case a democrat operative who was 'vacationing' directly from the Washington DC DNC office....) had 'accidentily' recorded a cell-phone conversation of Newt's in Florida.

It was Jim McDermott who 'leaked' (or directed them to leak) that private conversation to the press who twisted it around and had a general field day with it.

McDermott should have been censored / kicked out then.

#5 Baghdad Jimmy. How does he keep winning his district?

#6 Jim McDermott (D-Baghdad) unfortunately does represent his district. I should know as he (unfortunately) is my representative. My neighbors are so far to the left that during the primary they wouldn't vote for Dean because he was too conservative (they were Kucinich folks)

#9 BTW - my sympathies too, Hagan, just like Bezerkley and San Francisco and Santa Monica - beautiful towns unfortunately populated by a too-high percentage of morons....
