#1 Doing that would cause the Greeks to scream bloody murder. Wouldn't want to do that, since they're such close allies and good friends.

#2 Remind me again what the Greeks have done for us lately,...OK, make it the last couple of decades.

#3 Some Greek soccer fans actually booed, hooted, and catcalled during a pre-game "moment of silence" for 9/11 victims. Seems they're still pissed off that we went after Slobo on behalf of Bosnian & Kosovar Muslims. Some (not all) Greeks take the view that Orthodox Christians, e.g., Greeks & Serbs should stick together. End result--lots of anti-American feelings there.

#4 greece is a hotbed for communist terrorism... greece is an immature and disreputable nation that should be ignored if necessary and publicly snubbed and scolded if possible. russia should be invited to take over in orthodox co-operation and goodwill!

#5 Greece has been one of the few EU members pushing for Turkeys inclusion in the EU. Probably hoping to get Cypress back somehow but never-the-less they are pushing for Turkey.

The US should offer to include Turkey, most of Eastern Europe and the UK into Nafta. Provide an alternative to the EU that doesn't require cashing in thousands of years of history.
