#1 First of all, this is sacred fucking ground. every bit as sacred as any Revolutionary or Civil War battleground.

Secondly, whomever offered $250,000 for 273 acres is an idiot and should be removed from the sale process entirely.

#3 it may be sacred ground but the ppl that own it still deserve too be paid for such land, and also if they are gonna put an islamic symbol in the memorial i wouldn't give it up either

#4 Personally, I am pleased the process is mired in complications.
The crescent design is an abomination.
'No Memorial' is far better than one appearing like a muslim crescent from the air, regardless of hallowed ground.
A crescent memorial would be the ultimate insult to the heroes on that tragic flight.
