#1 Keep in mind that the Ford is as much prototype as ship of the line. There's a LOT of new tech embodied in her, and to a certain extent its to be expected. The John F. Kennedy will be far more settled, and Enterprise will be the first true 'production' ship.

#2 Hopefully they figure out the berthing issues - because an undercrewed ship is a dangerous ship - and in war a dead one.
