you don't have to register as a republican to vote republican in the general election

yes, you do have to register as a republican to vote for Trump in the Primaries but these were a long time ago (both in May 2016)

#10 In Ohio we can declare allegiance when we sign the book to get our primary ballot before heading into the voting booth. We'll see if enough Republicans are voted into the state legislature to change that next year. But it looks like we won't be sending Washington a second Democratic senator, so that's something fairly definite.
