Guess too many years have past in history for the 'elite' to remember literally the bloody lesson of not listening to vox populi. Just repeats the game later of (real) historians and chroniclers of "why didn't they pay attention to what was happening?" The real answer is that they didn't want to pay attention, they thought they were in charge and could bend the world to their view. Caution - bending can lead to breaking.

#8 Exactly. I'd have gone to a CFA if there was one in driving distance, even though most of their fare is not on my diet, mainly to give a big FU to the elite. Heck, if they were soliciting funds for a corporate sponsored charity, I'd have chucked in 40 bux.
