#1 I was forced to sit next to human excrement for seven hours

I think that happens to me just about every time I fly...

#2 I've been on shitty flights before, but never like that.

#3 Maybe Continental was just getting the passengers ready for Newark.

Just saying is all . . .

#4 Actually, I've noticed that it seems like every flight I'm on anymore has a contingent of people who seem to have had no bathroom access until they get on the plane. It's like they've been saving it forever, and a line forms for the can before the plane even takes off...

#5 Flying isn't what it used to be. No amenities either.

#6 Take the bus. Better customers and no security lines.

#7 Flying in average 6 times a year... never seen anything of that sort, but thn my flights are usually not longer than 4 hours at most. Also, getting my needs sorted out at an airport. I hate plane lavatories. Maybe I am a tad claustrophobic, I presume.

#8 Ya know, Continental used to call themselves, "The Proud Bird With the Golden Tail"

It is hard to make up a new slogan about overflowing septic tanks...

#10 I guess after all that even Newark would look good.

A hot contender for Snark O' the Week™!

#12 Flying these days SUCKS!!!!! The "service" aboard the plane is referred to as "slopping the hogs" by the surly, underpaid and uncaring staff, the security arrangements are rude and intrusive, the TSA rules are ludicrous, and one gets to pay a lot of money for the "privilege" of enduring this agony. I'd like to see a goodly number of TSA employees flogged within an inch of their lives. Every time I've ridden a plane since 9-11, I've come off the flight ready to personally execute every terrorist scumbag at Guantanamo Bay for bringing this state of affairs to pass. The last time I flew I was still so angry three days after I came back that I fired off really scathing letters to the TSA, to my Representative, and to both my Senators. The responses I received led me to believe they've heard the same complaints many, many times. I've come to the point where I'd rather drive three days across the U.S. than fly four hours.

#15 Uh, Mac. I can only do domestic flights in Alaska, Canada, and the Lower 48. I could get out to Shemya, but the last leg to Japan is a tough one. Just lettin you know. No flowing sewage on my flights.

#16 For me the worst problem I've encountered with Continental and other US airlines is dilapidated = worn-out seat(s) or overhead bins, + smaller food entrees + snacks. The 1990's seems to be the benchmark where the US airline companies stopped caring about spot maintenance, using glasswares, etc. i.e. stopped caring about customer enjoyment of their flight experience.
