Looks like failed 2004 presidential candidate and current U.S. Secretary of State John Kerry held a private meeting in Ecuador to get Julian Assange to stop publishing damaging information on Hillary Clinton.
Why would he do this?
Who told him to do this?
Simple.
He did so because Democrats know they must do whatever ever possible to protect grandma.

IMHO, the news here is that Kerry actually got someone to do something, besides shake his hand and lie to him.
[GatewayPundit] Elections expert J. Christian Adams told FOX and Friends on Tuesday morning there are 4 million dead people on US voter rolls.
Adams, who was the Voting Section Attorney at the US Department of Justice, filed six suits in the past year against Philadelphia and Broward County, Florida where the voter rolls are corrupted.
Adams said he had one case in Texas where the person died in 1944.
Far left groups continually sue to keep the voter rolls the way they are. The Obama administration has no desire to clean up these voter rolls. Of course not. Those are plenty enough votes to tip several swing states.
J. Christian Adams: Dead people are voting and it's something this administration does not want to do anything about. They must like it. They must like who they are voting for… Now we have four million, four million Steve, ineligible and dead voters on American voter rolls according to the Pew Charitable Trust.

I forgot where I got the quote, but I sent this to the family regarding voter fraud.
“More than 14 percent of non-citizens in both the 2008 and 2010 samples indicated that they were registered to vote... Because non-citizens tended to favor Democrats it's found that this participation was large enough to plausibly account for Democratic victories in a few close elections ... that non-citizen votes were responsible for Obama’s 2008 victory in North Carolina. Obama won the state by 14,177 votes, so a turnout by 5.1 percent of North Carolina’s adult non-citizens would have provided this victory margin.”
[CBS] A new trove of interview summaries and notes from the FBI's investigation into Hillary Clinton's emails lays out a series of allegations that could prove fodder for future attacks on the Democratic presidential nominee.
The 100 pages, released Monday morning, include claims that Clinton "blatantly" disregarded protocol. Other claims include that a group of powerful State Department employees attempted to coordinate a document release, and that a department official asked for a "quid pro quo" related to the former secretary of state's emails.
The documents, part four of four to be released by the FBI, include notes and interview summaries that may illuminate more about the bureau's decision not to recommend Clinton be prosecuted for her actions.
Many Republicans have criticized that decision, but FBI Director James Comey has repeatedly insisted the move was apolitical.
"I want the American people to know we really did this the right way. You can disagree with us, but you cannot fairly say we did it in any kind of political way," Comey said in July. "We don't carry water for anybody. We were trying to do what the right thing is."
One revelation in the documents came from an interview with an unidentified person who suggested that Freedom of Information Act requests related to Clinton went through a group sometimes called "the Shadow Government."
"There was a powerful group of very high-ranking STATE officials that some referred to as 'The 7th Floor Group' or 'The Shadow Government.' This group met every Wednesday afternoon to discuss the FOIA process, Congressional records, and everything CLINTON-related to FOIA/Congressional inquiries," the FBI's interview summary said.
That group, according to the summary, argued for a Clinton document release to be conducted all at once "for coordination purposes" instead of on a rolling basis as would normally be the case. But the "Shadow Government" did not get its way, and the agency in charge decided for a rolling release, the FBI summary said.
Another claim from the documents is that one unidentified interviewee said Undersecretary of State Patrick Kennedy pressured the FBI to unclassify certain emails from Clinton's private server that were previously deemed classified.
The interviewee said Kennedy contacted the FBI to ask for the change in classification in "exchange for a 'quid pro quo.'"

[NBCNewYork] The Nobel Academy can't seem to find Bob Dylan after he won the prize for literature, NBC News reported.
The academy's permanent secretary, Sara Danius, said she had emailed and called Dylan's "closest collaborator" to ensure he gets his hefty award of $927,740, according to a translation published in The Guardian. Maybe he recognizes the patina is off the award?

[Federal Times] A former vice chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff has pled guilty to making false statements during an investigation into a leak of classified information about a covert cyberattack on Iran's nuclear facilities.
Retired Marine Gen. James Cartwright entered the plea at a hearing Monday before U.S. District Judge Richard Leon. When Leon asked if Cartwright understood the charge, he said: "I do, sir."
The offense carries a maximum of five years in prison, but Cartwright's attorney told the judge that the government and defense counsel had agreed on a recommended sentence of no more than six months. He is scheduled to be sentenced in January and it will be up to Leon to decide the sentence.
Cartwright told investigators that he was not the source of classified information contained in a book by New York Times journalist David Sanger, according to charging documents unsealed by prosecutors.
Neither the book nor the classified subject is identified in court papers. But Sanger has written about a covert cyberattack on Iran's nuclear facilities and the use of a computer virus called Stuxnet to temporarily disable centrifuges that the Iranians were using to enrich uranium.
The charging documents also said Cartwright misled prosecutors about classified information shared with another journalist, Daniel Klaidman.
The U.S. Attorney's Office in Maryland announced the case on Monday.
Prosecutors said Cartwright was charged via criminal information, a document that is filed with a defendant's consent and that signals that a plea agreement has been reached.
Gregory Craig, an attorney for Cartwright, had no immediate comment, but his office said he would issue a statement later on Monday.
Cartwright, 67, was vice chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff from 2007 until 2011, and was considered a key adviser to Obama. A former fighter pilot, the Marine general was known for his expertise in the more highly technical areas of cyberwarfare and America's nuclear enterprise.

Cartwright should have been given twenty years. In the last twenty years at least, Stuxnet was likely the most successful intel coup that involved the USA.
[Weasel Zippers] Federal agents raid a Portland market, suspecting the owner was committing widespread welfare fraud.
The affidavit that led to that raid at Ahram Market was recently unsealed.
The 52-page affididavit that NEWS CENTER was first made aware of this afternoon indicates that Ali Ratib Daham, the owner of the Ahram Halal Market on Forest Avenue, is being investigated for massive fraud, amounting to hundreds of thousands of dollars.
According to the affidavit signed by FBI special agent Richard Pires -- the feds were tipped off because the market had unusually high sales from SNAP benefits -- commonly known as food stamps.
According to the FBI, a cooperating witness, referred to as a "CW" in the affadavit, told Daham that he was new to town. At that point, Daham told him how to get more benefits by pretending not to know English and telling the government that he wanted to go to school. That way, he could get benefits without working.
A number of these stores have been found selling products that had been stolen, either from major retailers or from distribution from the manufacturer. The retailers and manufacturers have "Organized Retail Theft" teams that find these cases, and help law enforcement get the information they need to prosecute.

I watched the video, and the detail of the reported comments was very convincing, and the nature of the Beast's behavior was both further confirmation of what an imperious bitch she is, but also how frightening she would be as President. The level of deception being perpetrated on the American people by the democrat party is epic......and treason by any objective standard. A criminal, lying, diseased, gay psychopath is being offered as the leader of this nation. Unbelievable.

So this took place September 7, 2016? That was a Wednesday. I don't think I saw it reported as such in the media.
Oh, that's right - it's Hillary's media, and I don't watch it anyway.

It's not just her, it's both of them.
Many a time in my preceding intervies, I'd asked "The director [of the Secret Service] isn't going to see this right?" Or, you guys aren't going to release this depositon to the public are you?" I was being asked to provide very sensitive information pertinent to some higher-ups' careers. Some officers even had to divulge affairs not related to the president, snaring them into disclosing which directors or chief were having affairs with which staffers. It was all very bad. The stories got leaked to the press, and things got ugly for them. Again, lawyers conducting my depositions reassured me they wouldn't release my testimony, as other lawyers did other witnesses. It's what they told us all, those Justice Department and FBI bastards.
Now long after my video deposition, I was talking to a Secret Service colleague who worked with West Wing Lobby. He had just resumed his shift after returning from his testimony. The president had just visited him. That was extremely suspecious - my associate was spooked.
"He just came out and came stright up to me like --like he was looking for me. Yeah, and he asked how I was by name. We chatted -- like small talk --like normal. And then had asked how my wife and kids were -- We've never actually talked before."
Nothing about that was normal. It was obviously a subtle form of intimidation. The President was sending a message that he knew of the officer's recent testimony -- and perhaps sending an even more sinister message.
[The Nation] New research suggests the experience of bias alters our hormones in ways that widen the academic achievement gap.
An onslaught of videos depicting African Americans shot and killed by the police. A Republican presidential candidate who launches his campaign by hurling invective about the supposed depravity of Mexican immigrants and then charges toward the White House with the aid of racist dog whistles. Alt-right power players staking a claim to Donald Trump’s kingdom of bluster and bombast as a resurgent white-supremacist movement, finding a happy home in the Twitter-sphere, turns cyberbullying into the new burning cross.
It should come as no surprise, given the pervasiveness of such race-centered strife and chaos as well as the hyper-saturation of its myriad horrors on social media, that a recent New York Times/CBS News poll found that Americans are as pessimistic about race relations as they were during the 1992 Rodney King riots. Con't, unfortunately.
h/t Instapundit
...Those who are soured on Trump certainly can cite lots of understandable reasons for their distaste -- well beyond his sometimes grating reality-television personality. In over-dramatic fashion, some Against Trumpers invoke William F. Buckley Jr.’s ostracism of John Birchers from conservative circles as a model for dealing with perceived Trump vulgarity. He is damned as an opportunistic chameleon, not a true conservative. Trump’s personal and professional life has been lurid -- as, again, we were reminded by the media-inspired release of a hot-mic tape of past Trump crude sexual braggadocio. The long campaigning has confirmed Trump as often uncouth -- insensitive to women and minorities. He has never held office. His ignorance of politics often embarrasses those in foreign- and domestic-policy circles. Trump’s temperament is mercurial, especially in its ego-driven obsessions with slights to his business ethics and acumen. He wins back supporters by temporary bouts of steadiness as his polls surge, only to alienate them again with crazy nocturnal tweets and off-topic rants -- as his popularity then again dips. He seems to battle as much with GOP stalwarts as Clintonites, often, to be fair, in retaliation rather than in peremptory fashion.
...The counterarguments for voting Trump are by now also well known. The daily news -- riot, terrorism, scandals, enemies on the move abroad, sluggish growth, and record debt -- demands a candidate of change. The vote is not for purity of conservative thought, but for the candidate who is preferable to the alternative -- and is also a somewhat rough form of adherence to the pragmatic Buckley dictate to prefer the most conservative candidate who can win. The issue, then, at this late date is not necessarily Trump per se, but the fact that he will bring into power far more conservatives than would Hillary Clinton. No one has made a successful argument to challenge that reality.
...Nor is the election a choice even between four more years of liberalism and a return of conservatism; it’s an effort to halt the fundamental transformation of the country. A likely two-term Clinton presidency would complete a 16-year institutionalization of serial progressive abuse of the Constitution, outdoing even the twelve years of the imperial Roosevelt administration. The WikiLeaks revelations suggest an emboldened Hillary Clinton, who feels that a 2016 victory will reify her utopian dreams of a new intercontinental America of open borders and open markets, from Chile to Alaska, in the manner of the European Union expanse from the Aegean to the Baltic.
...Trump’s defeat would translate into continued political subversion of once disinterested federal agencies, from the FBI and Justice Department to the IRS and the EPA. It would ensure a liberal Supreme Court for the next 20 years -- or more. Republicans would be lucky to hold the Senate. Obama’s unconstitutional executive overreach would be the model for Hillary’s second wave of pen-and-phone executive orders. If, in Obama fashion, the debt doubled again in eight years, we would be in hock $40 trillion after paying for Hillary’s even more grandiose entitlements of free college tuition, student-loan debt relief, and open borders. She has already talked of upping income and estate taxes on those far less wealthy than the Clintons and of putting coal miners out of work ("We are going to put a whole lot of coal miners and coal companies out of business") while promising more Solyndra-like ventures in failed crony capitalism.
...We worry about what Citizen Trump did in the past in the private sector and fret more over what he might do as commander-in-chief. But these legitimate anxieties remain in the subjunctive mood; they are not facts in the indicative gleaned from Clinton’s long public record. As voters, we can only compare the respective Clinton and Trump published agendas on illegal immigration, taxes, regulation, defense spending, the Affordable Care Act, abortion, and other social issues to conclude that Trump’s platform is the far more conservative -- and a rebuke of the last eight years. There is a reason the politicized media -- from biased debate moderators to New York Times reporters who seek to pass muster in the Clinton team’s eyes before publishing their puff pieces -- have gone haywire over Trump.
Contrary to popular anger against them, Never Trump conservative op-ed writers and wayward Republican insiders do not have much direct influence in keeping Trump’s party support down. Indeed, even after the latest gaffes, it creeps back up even as he is alienating women and the suburbs. The problem is more nuanced. Never Trump conservative grandees help flesh out the Clinton narrative of a toxic Trump that is then translated through ads, quotes, and sound bites to more numerous fence-sitting independents and women: Why should they vote for a purported extremist whom even the notables of the conservative movement and Republican party cannot stomach?

EIGHT QUOTES FROM DIFFERENT BOOKS
Her actual words:
1) "Where is the God damn flag? I want the God damn fucking flag up every morning at fucking sunrise". Hillary to staff at the Arkansas Governor's mansion on Labor Day 1991. From the book "Inside the White House" by Ronald Kessler, p. 244
(2) "Fuck off! It's enough I have to see you shit-kickers every day! I'm not going to talk to you, too! Just do your Goddamn job and keep your mouth shut." Hillary to her State Trooper bodyguards after one of them greeted her with "Good Morning." From the book "America Evita" by Christopher Anderson, p.90
(3) "If you want to remain on this detail, get your fucking ass over here and grab those bags!" Hillary to a Secret Service Agent who was reluctant to carry her luggage because he wanted to keep his hands free in case of an incident. From the book "The First Partner" p. 25
(4)"Stay the fuck back, stay the fuck back away from me! Don't come within ten yards of me, or else! Just fucking do as I say, Okay!!?" Hillary screaming at her Secret Service detail. From the book "Unlimited Access" by Clinton's FBI Agent-in-Charge, Gary Aldridge, p.139
(5)"Where's the miserable cock sucker?" (otherwise known as "Bill Clinton") Hillary shouting at a Secret Service officer. >From the book "The Truth about Hillary" by Edward Klein, p. 5
(6) "You fucking idiot" Hillary to a State Trooper who was driving her to an event. From the book "Crossfire" ~pg. 84
(7)"Put this on the ground! I left my sunglasses in the limo. I need those fucking sunglasses! We need to go back!" Hillary to Marine One helicopter pilot to turn back while in route to Air Force One. From the book " Dereliction of Duty" p. 71-72
(8)"Come on Bill, put your dick up! You can't fuck her here!!" Hillary to Gov. Bill Clinton when she spots him talking with an attractive female. From the book "Inside the White House" by Ronald Kessler, p. 243
There it is ........book, chapter and page.......the real Hillary:
Additionally, when she walked around the White House, NO ONE was permitted to look her in the eye, they all had to lower their heads with their eyes towards the ground whenever she walked by.
Remember her most vile comment about Benghazi: "What difference at this point does it make?"
Most recent of her outbursts was to Obama when she learned that the FBI was investigating her: "Call off your fucking dogs".
Now it will be clear why the crew of "Marine One" helicopter nick-named the craft,
The only way this tale could be more lurid is if a dead girl or a live boy had been found in his room.
[SAToday] A man suspected of leaving a backpack bomb outside a police station in a small Colorado mountain town tried several times to remotely detonate the homemade device using a cellphone but failed, according to court documents released Monday.
David Michael Ansberry, 64, of San Rafael, California, was arrested this weekend in Chicago after surveillance video captured him at the stores where he bought the cellphones that he expected to trigger the explosive in the town of Nederland, investigators said.
He was easily recognizable because he is 3 feet 6 inches tall and 100 pounds and wore a ponytail, a ball cap and using crutches. The Nederland police chief told investigators he spotted a man matching Ansberry’s description leaving a hotel as it was being evacuated during the Oct. 11 bomb scare.
Ansberry was charged with a federal explosives count. U.S. Justice Department counterterrorism prosecutors are handling the case. Court documents don’t indicate a motive.
No attorney for Ansberry was listed in court records, and his relatives did not return calls or emails seeking comment.
The bomb scare rattled the mountain-ringed town of 1,500 people southwest of Boulder. Residents said they felt safer after the arrest but were still baffled by Ansberry’s presence in their community, an artists’ refuge which has long thrived on its embrace of outsiders.
Ansberry said he was in town to visit an old friend who was a professor but did not elaborate, said J.P. Farrell, a front desk agent at The Boulder Creek Lodge. Ansberry stayed at the hotel, which is within sight of the police station, for about two weeks, then left and returned, Farrell told The Associated Press, describing him as a pleasant guest.
Ansberry was staying there the day of the bombing, authorities said.
A detective found the backpack and brought it into the police station, believing it was lost property. After opening the bag, the detective discovered a cellular device with protruding wires that connected to a battery and a suspicious powder, the newly released documents say.
Robots searched the explosive, and it was eventually detonated in the parking lot of the town’s main retail complex, a strip mall that houses the five-officer police department.
Authorities have not said what kind of destruction the bomb might have caused.
“The community knows there has been an arrest, and that goes to calming people’s fears,” said Alisha Reis, administrator for the town best known for its love of legal marijuana and its annual celebration of a frozen corpse that draws tens of thousands of revelers. “But folks are still confused as to why it occurred. Who is this person? And why would he have done it here?”
[Khaama (Afghanistan)] The former Afghanistan's Caped PresidentHamid Maybe I'll join the Taliban Karzai ... A former Baltimore restaurateur, now 12th and current President of Afghanistan, displacing the legitimate president Rabbani in December 2004. He was installed as the dominant political figure after the removal of the Taliban regime in late 2001 in a vain attempt to put a Pashtun face on the successor state to the Taliban. After the 2004 presidential election, he was declared president regardless of what the actual vote count was. He won a second, even more dubious, five-year-term after the 2009 presidential election. His grip on reality has been slipping steadily since around 2007, probably from heavy drug use... has said the Americans are ignoring to target the gunnies beyond the Afghan borders, accusing the United States for playing double game in Afghanistan.
In interview with the Russia Today, Karzai said the Americans are ignoring the pleas by the Afghans to target extremism beyond the Afghan borders, emphasizing that the US should admit it failed its mission to bring peace and security to Afghanistan.
Karzai further added that the United States must seek help from the big neighbors of Afghanistan, including Russia, China, India, and Iran and find ways of addressing the issue of radicalism with these countries, insisting that these countries are also affected.
According to Karzai, Pakistain should also be engaged in a manner to help ease to compete against extremism. However, it was a brave man who first ate an oyster... he said the US and Pakistain lack interest in stopping Afghan war and stall progress of Afghan peace talks.
The former Afghanistan's Caped President also added that Taliban can’t be defeated in war and only peace talks can bring the civil strife of the Afghan nation to an end.
He said the Afghan people can reconcile with Taliban emphasizing that ’they are Afghans like us but poppy growing is a real curse’.
Karzai also warned the Taliban group that they will not be able to overrun the whole country and will manage to seize a few bustling provincial capitals.
The other issues the former President pointed were Pakistain’s desire dominance in Afghanistan and US drone strikes that prevent in seeking peace and are making Taliban fight harder instead of forcing them to start talks.

Political commentators and some ex-Taliban commanders have said that Pakistan's continued support of Mullah Haibatullah Akhundzada has had a significant impact on the unity of the Taliban, adding that interference into the affairs of the Taliban by Pakistan's intelligence agency - Inter Service Intelligence (ISI) - has led to the emergence of more dissident factions within the group.
Referring to recent reports that Pakistan had launched a crackdown against three top Taliban leaders, the commentators said that the detention of the three commanders in Quetta city earlier this week had nothing to do with Haibatullah as the three commanders were not his supporters and did not see him as a credible leader of the Taliban movement.
According to analysts, Pakistan's recent efforts to reunite the Taliban had not yielded positive outcomes and instead these efforts have expanded the power struggle within the hardline movement.
"This was a politically motivated move by Pakistan. Pakistan wanted to show the foreigners that they act against the Taliban on their demand," said former Taliban governor Sayed Akbar Agha.
"Mullah Haibatullah Akhundzada is a trusted element of Pakistan's ISI. If anyone opposes Akhundzada's guideline and refuses his ideology or enters negotiations on his own, Pakistan will act against them," said a former diplomat to Pakistan Ahmad Saeedi.
In a new development, a dissident Taliban faction led by Mullah Abdul Rassoul has indicated they will consider entering peace negotiations with the Afghan government.
"Mullah Abdul Rassould has shown an interest for negotiations. Then we have to work in this respect and talk with the international community particularly the US and also with Pakistan," said Mohammad Amin Weqad, member of the Afghan High Peace Council.
"After the successful military operations carried out by the security forces in foiling the Omari operation, the successful conclusion of Brussels Summit, the successful outcome of negotiations with Hizb-e-Islami and the recent political developments in the region, peace supporters in the ranks of Taliban have also expanded," said Tawab Ghorzang, spokesman for the National Security Advisor.
Earlier this week Pakistani officials announced that at least three senior Taliban leaders , including Ahmadullah Muti, also known as Mullah Nanai who served as Taliban's designated intelligence chief, Sulaiman Agha, Taliban's designated governor for Daikundi province and Mullah Sani, also known as Samad Sani, head of a religious school and a well-known Afghan businessman, who have links with the Taliban, have also been taken into custody in Pakistan's southwestern Baluchistan province.
Pakistani media reported that Mullah Nanai was arrested at a madrassa compound in Quetta city, the provincial capital of Baluchistan.
Mullah Nanai, who is originally a native of southern Kandahar province, has served in some key positions within the group. He worked as deputy head of the Peshawar commission, minister of public works, Balkh governor and Herat governor in the Taliban regime (1996 to 2001).
Previously, Pakistan launched similar crackdowns against a number of influential Taliban leaders in that country, including the dramatic detention of the group's top commander Mullah Abdul Ghani Baradar. However, Pakistan never showed willingness to handover them over to the Afghan government – a move that raised serious questions on Pakistan's counter-terror policy.
According to reports, Pakistan is faced with increasing pressure from the international community over its controversial role in the war against terrorism.
Bilateral ties between Kabul and Islamabad have also been strained over Pakistan's reluctance to target Taliban's hideouts in Pakistan, reports indicate.
[ARA News] Homs – Militant fighters of the Islamic State (ISIS) launched on Monday an offensive on a Syrian army base in the central Homs Governorate, activists reported.
ISIS militants bombed headquarters of the Syrian army forces in the Huwesis District in eastern Homs, killing and wounding dozens of soldiers.
“ISIS militants, stationed near the Sawan Hill, shelled a major Syrian army base in eastern Homs. The group used heavy artillery in the attack,” media activist Khalid al-Abdullah told ARA News.
More than 35 army soldiers were reported dead and dozens more wounded in the offensive.
Subsequent to the attack, Russian warplanes launched several airstrikes on ISIS fighting positions in Huwesis, killing at least 20 ISIS militants.
“The Russian air cover helped the Syrian regime’s army forces to regroup and secure their base against infiltration by ISIS, while medical teams arrived to the area to treat the wounded,” al-Abdullah reported.
The ISIS radical group has recently brought military reinforcements to the eastern countryside of Homs in a bid to protect its final positions in the governorate.

[IsraelTimes] Governorate warns residents of Turkish capital that ’banned terror organizations preparing actions in our province’
The Turkish capital Ankara on Monday banned all public gatherings and demonstrations until the end of November after receiving information about potential terror attacks, the governor’s office said.
The Ankara governorate said in a statement that all such meetings had been prohibited until November 30, in line with the state of emergency imposed in the wake of the failed July 15 coup.
It said that the decision was taken "to ensure people’s safety and public order."
The governorate, which is responsible for security throughout the capital and the wider province, said it had received intelligence "that banned terror organizations were preparing actions in our province."
Without naming which organizations, it said that the groups were thought to have been planning attacks on meetings and public demonstrations.
The capital has been hit repeatedly over the last 12 months by attacks blamed on jihadists and Kurdish Death Eaters.

"I, Alaa Albakr, attest that Jaber was not a terrorist, and not a member of 'IS,' and the German police potted him," he told DW on Saturday, referring to the "Islamic State ...formerly ISIS or ISIL, depending on your preference. [AnNahar] A young woman screamed in pain as she was caned Monday in front of a jeering crowd in Indonesia's Aceh, the latest person to be punished for breaking the province's strict Islamic laws.
Aceh is the only province in the world's most populous Moslem-majority country that imposes sharia law. People can face floggings for a range of offenses -- from gambling, to drinking alcohol, to gay sex.
The woman was among 13 people -- seven men and six women aged between 21 and 30 -- who were caned Monday at a mosque in the bustling provincial capital Banda Aceh, as a baying crowd cheered the spectacle.
Six couples were found guilty of breaking Islamic laws that ban intimacy, such as touching, hugging and kissing, between unmarried people.
A man was caned for a less serious offense described as spending time with a member of the opposite sex in a hidden location in a fashion that could lead to adultery.
One 22-year-old woman due to be flogged was given a temporary reprieve as she was pregnant -- but Aceh Deputy Mayor Zainal Arifin pledged: "The punishment will be handed down after she gives birth."
The official added that he hoped the canings would serve as a deterrent: "We hope there are no more people in Banda Aceh who break the law in future."
More and more people are being caned in Aceh, with a particular increase in recent times in the number of women being flogged.
Aceh, on Sumatra island, began implementing sharia law after being granted special autonomy in 2001, an attempt by the central government in Jakarta to quell a long-running separatist insurgency.
Islamic laws have been strengthened since the province struck a peace deal with the central government in 2005.
More than 90 percent of Indonesians describe themselves as Moslem, but the vast majority practice a moderate form of the faith.
[IsraelTimes] Hamas, a contraction of the Arabic words for "frothing at the mouth",-run court says 54-year-old man will be hanged for allegedly providing Jewish state with information since 1987
Courts in the Hamas-run Gazoo Strip handed down three death sentences on Monday, including one for allegedly spying for Israel and two others for murder, authorities said.
In the first case, "the military court in Gazoo decided upon death by hanging for the convict, 54, on charges on spying for the Israeli occupation," a court source said.
The court said the man had allegedly been linked to Israel since 1987 and had provided a large amount of information to the Jewish state since then.
The case was held behind closed doors and the defendant was referred to only by the initials E.A.
Another alleged spy was sentenced to 10 years in prison.
In Gazoo, accusations of spying for the Jewish state are often brutally punished. During the 2014 war between Israel and Hamas, 18 alleged collaborators were rubbed out in public by Hamas forces.

The Paleostinian terror group Hamas, the well-beloved offspring of the Moslem Brotherhood, fired at least one long-range missile into the Mediterranean Sea off the coast of the Gazoo Strip on Monday morning, in what appeared to be a weapons test.
The booms of detonations could be heard in communities in southern Israel that border the Hamas-ruled territory, Channel 2 reported.
The jihadist group regularly fires rockets as it works to improve its rocket range and accuracy, a little over two years after it last fought Israel. In June, it test-fired dozens of short-range rockets inside Gazoo, with Israeli sources estimating that at least 30 projectiles were launched.
Monday’s test comes some 10 days after two projectile strikes in two days from Gazoo on nearby Israeli population centers. The first attack -- in which a rocket hit a street in the city of Sderot -- caused some damage to nearby homes and cars, but no injuries. Three people were hospitalized for anxiety following the strike.
The following day, a mortar shell fired from the Strip landed in an open area in the southern Eshkol region. There were no injuries or damage reported from the shell, according to the IDF.
The army responded with a massive bombing campaign in the Gazoo Strip, targeting strategic Hamas positions in the north and south of the enclave.
While Hamas initially warned that it would not "sit idly by" if Israel continued Arclight airstrikes on its installations, the group reportedly sent a message to Israel calling for calm and saying the terrorist group was not interested in a further escalation of tensions.
Israel says it holds Hamas responsible for any attacks emanating from Gazoo and routinely responds to such launches with strikes against Hamas targets.
[Khaama (Afghanistan)] Two faceless myrmidons belonging to the Haqqani terrorist network the al-Qaeda network were killed in separate Arclight airstrikes in southeastern Ghazni province of Afghanistan.
The Ministry of Defense (MoD) said two faceless myrmidons belonging to Quetta council, normally referred to Taliban and Haqqani networks’ leadership councils, were also among those killed.
No further details were given if the Arclight airstrikes were carried out by the Aghan Air Force or the US forces based in Afghanistan.
MoD further added that the militats belonging to Haqqani network, al-Qaeda network, and the Quetta Council were among 13 killed during the operations.
According to MoD, the al-Qaeda terrorist network member killed in the Arclight airstrikes has been identified as Haroon.

[American Thinker] "On our issues Trump is perfect," declares the grassroots organization Jewschoosetrump.org, calling on fellow Jews across the country to remember, a word resonant with religious and historical meaning for Jews.
It can't be true--the American Jewish community has "forgotten," or more accurately no longer chooses to remember, the existential threat to Israel, America, and Western civilization posed by Iran and the Iran Deal. (snip) Our children and grandchildren [will] ask us what were we thinking or were we even thinking when we ignored and denied the dangers facing us.
(snip) Are American Jewish leaders once again going to deny reality, hope for the best, engage in altruistic surrender and denial, and feel good and superior for caring first about others rather than the future of our children? This is pitiful and incredibly dangerous. Maybe a psychologist could figure out why our history has crippled our instinct for survival, but shame on us anyway.
(snip) It is an easy choice. We don't even need to scrutinize destroyed emails and hidden speeches. Hillary is for the Iran Deal--she is proud of it and expresses support for Obama's handling of Iran. Trump trashes the Iran Deal and vows to end it. This is reason enough for us as American Jews to choose Trump.
Although Jews are a "rare" minority in America, only 2% of Americans, they are concentrated in the swing state of Florida, as well as Ohio and Pennsylvania. Because of the importance of Florida, Jews could determine the Electoral College tally if the election is as close as expected. Con't.

[Khaama (Afghanistan)] The Talibs ambushed the convoy of First Vice President General Abdul Rashid Dostum ...ethnic Uzbek warlord who distinguished himself fighting the Soviets and the Taliban. The story that he had a bad guy run over with a tank is an exaggeration. It was an armored personnel carrier... in northern Faryab province as he is leading a counter-terrorism operation against the group in north.
The incident took place on Sunday as Gen. Dostum was on his way towards Ghormach district accompanied by a convoy of the security forces.
Gen. Dostum confirmed the attack and said the turbans were in police uniform and ambushed the convoy of the security forces.
The Talibs group has not commented regarding the report so far.
Gen. Dostum arrived in Faryab province last week after the Talibs launched a coordinated attack on Ghormach district and seized its control from the security forces.
The Talibs have intensified attacks on key northern provinces during the recent months as the group attempts to expand its insurgency activities in northern parts of the country.
The Talibs launched a coordinated attack on the strategic Kunduz city last week and managed to infiltrate into some parts of the city, including the central Kunduz city square.

[NYPOST] A North Carolina GOP office was Molotov cocktailed early Sunday while the culprits marked their hate for the party by spray-painting the words "Nazi Republicans."
Hillsborough police are investigating the overnight attack on the Orange County Republican Party office that one GOP official called an "act of political terrorism," according to the Charlotte Observer.
A flammable material was tossed through the front window of the HQ, setting it ablaze, while the vandals wrote hate graffiti of a swastika and "Nazi Republicans leave town or else" on an adjacent building, the police said.
Photos show extensive damage of broken glass, scorched GOP lawn signs, blackened walls and charred furniture.
"The office itself is a total loss," said Dallas Woodhouse, executive director of the state GOP. "The only thing important to us is that nobody was killed, and they very well could have been."
North Carolina is a key swing state in the presidential race that both Hillary Clinton ... sometimes described as Deplorable, Irredeemable -- No. Wait. That was us. -- and at other times as Mrs. Bill, never as Another James Baker ... and Donald Trump have spent much time and energy trying to win.
Local police are working with the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives to find those responsible.
"This highly disturbing act goes far beyond vandalizing property; it willfully threatens our community’s safety via fire, and its hateful message undermines decency, respect and integrity in civic participation," Hillsborough Mayor Tom Stevens said in a statement.

[Gulf Today] At least 94 Abu Sayyaf militants have been "neutralized," meaning they were killed, in the first 100 days of President Duterte's administration, according to the Philippines' top military commander.
General Ricardo Visaya reported that aside from the 94 killed, 17 other rebels were captured and 21 surrendered which he attributed to an intensified search and destroy operation against the Abu Sayyaf on Duterte's orders. He said, "Three other leaders were also killed but were not identified as their bodies were dragged away by their fleeing comrades and were believed to have been buried in locations under the customary Muslim practice and traditions."
Visaya reported that the military also launched 44 combat operations against the Bangsamoro Islamic Freedom Fighters, a breakaway group of the Moro Islamic Liberation Front which opposed the peace agreement signed by the government and the MILF.
Meanwhile, the unilateral ceasefire declared by the Philippine government and the communist New People's Army is holding while their representatives hold peace talks in Oslo, Visaya said.

Heck, they can do that count in a week and two weekends in Chicago without even trying.
[LawNewz.com] The FBI on Monday released additional documents related to its investigation into Hillary Clinton's use of a private email server during her tenure as Secretary of State. The latest release includes an interview summary that suggests an open source search of the Deep Web conducted by a private investigator uncovered a potentially classified document that may have been stolen from Clinton's server.
On June 6, 2016, the FBI interviewed an unidentified individual who told agents he was contacted by a senior staff member on the Senate Judiciary Committee about concerns that data from Clinton's private server might end up overseas. According to the FBI summary, the Senate staffer wanted the witness to "determine if there was an intrusion into Clinton's server and, if so, whether exfiltrated data fell into the hands of a foreign power."
The search uncovered hundreds of files that the witness believed to be from Sidney Blumenthal’s server on a server in Romania. These files included Microsoft Word, Excel and other documents, but no emails. Blumenthal’s email account was breached by the Romanian hacker Guccifer.

If the info was from Sidneys server does that mean they used that to crack into Hillary's? Or that Sidney had Hillary's classified info on his server?

rj, there is this line from the Sharyl Atkinson article that is posted below:
March 14, 2013: Hillary confidant Sid Blumenthal’s AOL email is hacked by Romanian cyber hacker “Guccifer,” uncovering a memo to Hillary with classified “confidential” information.
In my experience as a web master, the Romanians are among the busier hackers and would be hackers world wide. They're not quite in the same league as the Chinese, Ukrainians and Russians but certainly on a par with Iranians, Brazilians and Turks.

ISIS released a new video on Monday, showing two child soldiers executing tow alleged spies.
The radical group accused the two men of spying “for crusaders and their allies” in Iraq, in reference to the US-led coalition and allied Kurdish and Iraqi forces.
The two young men appeared in the video in orange jumpsuits, kneeling in front of the two members of the so-called Cubs of the Caliphate.
The child soldiers then shot the victims in the head.
The so-called ‘Cubs of the Caliphate’ is a unit for child soldiers who fight in the ranks of ISIS. It has branches in every city controlled by ISIS in Iraq and Syria.

[Bangkok Post] Police arrested a man at a rented room in Bang Sao Thong district on Monday on suspicion of planning to detonate three car bombs in Greater Bangkok late this month. The man's identity has not been revealed.
His arrest followed a search by police, soldiers and local officials acting on information that car bombings were being planned at a shopping center, a parking area and a location frequented by tourists in Greater Bangkok between October 25 and 30.
Police seized phones, wires and four boxes of bomb components from the suspect's room. Sources said two other men from Narathiwat province
seemingly a link to the insurgency in Thailand's far South
had rented the room but left it with rucksacks last Wednesday. Authorities were searching for them.
Another bombing suspect, Tanmichi Totayong, who was arrested in Bangkok last week said he and the two other men had hidden plastic pipes and detonation caps above ceiling tiles in the rented room in Bang Sao Thong. During a search there Monday morning, authorities the objects were not found. Authorities believe they had been moved or destroyed.
[Free Beacon] Hillary Clinton’s treatment of State Department security personnel was "so contemptuous" that many left the agency or requested a reassignment during her tenure as secretary of state, according to FBI documents released Monday.
"Prior to CLINTON’s tenure, being an agent on the Secretary of State’s protective detail was seen as an honor and privilege reserved for senior agents. However, by the end of CLINTON’s tenure, it was staffed largely with new agents because it was difficult to find senior agents willing to work for her," an FBI interview summary reads, the New York Post reported.
The FBI interviewed an unnamed Homeland Security official who previously worked for the State Department as part of the bureau’s investigation into Clinton’s handling of classified information while heading the department.
The unnamed official told investigators that Secret Service agents also had a difficult time working under Clinton. The official said the Democratic nominee demanded a window in her armored vehicle be opened during a trip to Palestine despite security warnings from the driver.
The document also detailed Clinton’s insistence to go on with a photo opportunity in an area in Jakarta, Indonesia, that security personnel had deemed too dangerous.
"CLINTON disregarded security and diplomatic protocols, occasionally without regard for the safety of her staff and protection detail, in order to gain favorable press," the document states.

Football, America’s biggest prime-time powerhouse, has been thrust into a crisis this fall, with dwindling ratings sparking questions over whether it can remain a gold mine for television in an age when more Americans are abandoning traditional TV. Kaepernicki Virus ?
Network executives have long used the National Football League’s live games as a last line of defense against the rapid growth of “cord-cutting” and on-demand viewing upending the industry.
But now, the NFL is seeing its ratings tumble in the same way that the Olympics, awards shows and other live events have, falling more than 10 percent for the first five weeks of the season compared with the first five weeks of last season. A continued slide, executives say, could pose an even bigger danger: If football can’t survive the new age of TV, what can?
Football’s traditional TV audience “is never going to be what it was again,” said Brian Hughes, a senior vice president at Magna Global, which tracks audience and advertising trends.
The explosion of modern entertainment options, offered on more devices and at any time, has splintered American audiences and sped TV’s decline, Hughes said. “Sports seemed to be immune from it — it was live, the last bastion of broadcast television. But [the world] has caught up to it now.”

If football can’t survive the new age of TV, what can?
I listened on satellite radio last week to a clueless NFL analyst (a woman--come on, that's a clue that a problem exists--exactly ZERO women have played in the NFL) who commented on the Kapernick situation. She said that his protest was "an important national conversation we need to have".
WRONG. People turn into SPORTS to GET AWAY from the heavy stuff. We want a couple of hours where we can watch a GAME and enjoy the GAME aspect of it ONLY.
If we wanted to have a "national discussion", we wouldn't tune in on Sunday afternoon to watch the NFL.
If the NFL is too stupid to get that, they will surely get what they deserve for being that stupid.

NO worries. I left a message with the 49ers office about the ass woopin they endured this last game. Plus I told them if I sound dis-respectfull, no apologies should be expected. Dis-Respect goes both ways, losers.
That's what it is - entertainment. When it no longer entertains but shoves what you are trying to escape but for an hour or two, you go elsewhere. Someone forgot the old saying - If you want to send a message, call Western Union.
Long ago, we should have returned the copyright back to its original 14-14 to cut the source of so much resources in the hands of 'entertainment'.

Still tune in enough to hear the announcers point out and praise those disrespecting the US as is their right as peacocking thugs.

I was flipping through the channels last Sunday. Came across a couple of bowling teams playing football. Realized it was pink month. Watched a whole 2 seconds.
My modern entertainment option last Sunday was going outside with the kids, playing football catch with my son.

[AlArabiya] US aircraft hit ISIS targets with more 30 strikes over the last three days on the Libyan city of Sirte as pro-government forces push into its last militant-held districts, the US military said on Monday.
Libyan forces are close to ending a six-month campaign to liberate Sirte from ISIS, which took over the city more than a year after taking advantage of factional infighting that emerged after the fall of strongman Muammar Gaddafi in 2011.
Forces mostly from nearby Misrata city are pushing ahead street by street, facing snipers and suicide bombers. They are helped by US air strikes since August and coordination with small teams of Western special forces on the ground.
On Sunday, Libyan forces recaptured the city’s Cambo area, and swept out tunnels used by militants to hide and prepare ambushes, and seized a field hospital. They found charred bodies of militants hit by air strikes.
A Reuters reporter at the scene said they also came across booby traps using grenades and rocket shells.
“At the moment, the forces are preparing to enter Ghiza Bahriya district,” Rida Essa, media official with the pro-government forces, said.
US aircraft carried out 36 strikes from Friday to Saturday mostly on enemy fighting positions but also on a car bomb, according to a US Africa Command statement on Monday.
The loss of Sirte would close down ISIS’s main stronghold in North Africa and its only base outside Iraq and Syria, just as the militant group comes under pressure in the Iraqi city of Mosul.
ISIS steadily imposed control on Sirte a year ago, and used the city as a base to launch attacks on oilfields and ports as well as to target checkpoints in nearby Misrata.
Since Gaddafi’s fall in a war in 2011, Libya has slipped steadily in the fractional fighting among brigades of former rebels who first battled the strongman and then turned against each another. ISIS profited from the security vacuum.
The Misrata forces leading the Sirte campaign back a UN-supported government in Tripoli that is trying to bring the rival factions together. But the Sirte campaign has also prompted moves by eastern commander Khalifa Haftar, who rejects the Tripoli government, to extend his influence.

An excerpt:
One of the more depressing moments of my Australian tour a few months ago was a private dinner with a handful of prominent conservative parliamentarians - by which I mean men and women to the right of Mr Turnbull. The most eminent among them declared confidently that scrapping 18C was "not a first-order priority". We then moved on to discuss what he regarded as the first-order priority, Islamic terrorism in Australia and elsewhere.
I pointed out that one of the reasons why the former (free speech) most certainly is a first-order priority is because, without it, the latter (Islam and the west) cannot be honestly addressed. Theodore Dalrymple a decade ago:
Steyn is right that the main struggle is one of ideas. Unfortunately, political correctness, which is to thought what sentimentality is to compassion, means that the intelligentsia of the West has disarmed itself in advance of any possible struggle.
Political correctness enforced by state power has castrated public debate on the supposed "first-order priority" of our time - to the point where the Dutch courts prosecute opposition politicians over their election platforms, the French courts prosecute novelists over things their fictional characters said, the British police investigate Twitter jokes ...and once free peoples have so internalized these constraints that, even without state intervention, a supposedly free press punishes even the most footling departure from conventional bromides with public humiliation and career derailment. Free speech is always a first-order priority - because, without it, you can't truly discuss any of the others.
Riyadh, Taiz, Aden – The Yemeni army and resistance forces succeeded in advancing in Sa’dah (the stronghold of Houthis militia) and besieging Mica 101 affiliated to Houthis.
Colonel Mehran Al-Qabati told Asharq al-Awsat that the army and resistance forces advanced in Sa’dah province for more than 15 kilometers vertically and 45 kilometers horizontally. He added that Mica 101 is now under siege and that the “Yemeni army and resistance forces sacrificed two martyrs and five injured during these operations.”
Qabati affirmed that the army and resistance are determined to enter Sa’dah and attack the militias in their stronghold. “They have come to our territory without having the right to; we taught them a lesson they will never forget and we insist on repeating this in Sa’adah.
Qabati also denied spread rumors that battalions were sent to Sa’dah, stressing that the striking force leading current operation to defeat the rebels are enough.
Moving to Bihan, in the east of the country, Houthi and Yemen’s former President Ali Abdullah Saleh militias renewed on Saturday and Sunday the random bombing on villages and citizens’ houses, following their failure to break through the army and resistance forces.
Moving to Taiz, a military source told Asharq al-Awsat that conflicts intensified in all battlefronts namely in the eastern one where the Houthi and Ali Abdullah Saleh militias are bombing without any consideration of children and women.
Moreover, the national army in Taiz announced commencement of national resistance factions’ integration with the national army forces in Taiz, declared a military source to Asharq al-Awsat.
[al-Manar] Syrian army troops launched a surprise attack on the strongholds of the terrorist groups along their main supply route in Western Ghouta, and took full control over the strategic road.
The terrorist groups suffered a heavy death toll and retreated from regions near the road connecting Khan al-Sheih to al-Zakiyeh.
Military sources said that the liberation operation of Khan al-Sheih will be accelerated after the cut-off of the road to al-Zakiyeh.
The Syrian army’s artillery units and fighter jets played a crucial role in the army soldiers’ advances in Western Ghouta.
Reports said earlier today that Syrian army troops hit hard the positions of Fatah al-Sham (al-Nusra) Front in the town of Khan al-Sheih in Western Ghouta, and pushed the militants back from a residential neighborhood.
Syrian soldiers, backed up by artillery units, drove back Fatah al-Sham from several residential complexes in the Northeastern side of al-A’azam mosque following several hours of fierce clashes.
According to initial battlefield reports, tens of Fatah al-Sham’s members were killed or wounded in the clashes.
Syrian artillery units, for their part, shelled Fatah al-Sham’s centers in al-Husseiniyah, al-Khazrajiyah, Harfa-Beit Jin crossroad, al-Taybeh, al-Zakiyeh and al-Wa’areh.
A base of Fatah al-Sham in Khan al-Sheih was also targeted and destroyed in Syrian airstrikes. Reports said all the militants at the base were killed in the air raid.
Syrian military planes also dropped surrender-now leaflet over Khan al-Sheih, urging them to lay down arms and join peace plan.
BAGHDAD: Iraqi forces advanced Monday after launching an offensive aimed at retaking Mosul and dealing a death blow to the Daesh group’s “caliphate” in the city where it was declared two years ago.
The start of the long-awaited assault raised deep concerns for hundreds of thousands of civilians trapped in Iraq’s second-largest city, with aid groups warning of a massive humanitarian crisis.
Some 30,000 federal forces are leading the offensive, backed by air and ground support from a 60-nation US-led coalition, in what is expected to be a long and difficult assault on Daesh’s last major Iraqi stronghold.
Iraqi forces could be seen readying weapons and ammunitions as columns of armored vehicles headed toward Mosul from the town of Al-Shoura, some 45 km south of the city.
The Pentagon described the operation as a “decisive moment” in the fight against Daesh but the US-led coalition’s top commander warned it could last weeks or more. It said early indications were that Iraqi forces were meeting objectives and were ahead of schedule.
Iraqi Prime Minister Haider Al-Abadi announced the beginning of the assault in a televised address in the early hours of Monday. “Today I declare the start of these victorious operations to free you from the violence and terrorism of Daesh,” Abadi said.
Meanwhile, Saudi Arabia said that Riyadh had urged the Iraqi government not to let Shiite militias enter Mosul, fearing “mass atrocities.”
Foreign Minister Adel Al-Jubeir warned against a repeat of the events in Fallujah, which Daesh was chased out of in June. “We oppose any kind of involvement by the Shiite militias,” Al-Jubeir told a press conference in London.

[HeatSt] Hillary Clinton "blatantly" disregarded security and diplomatic protocols as Secretary of State and frequently insulted U.S. ambassadors by refusing to ride with them to diplomatic events abroad, a former U.S. diplomatic security officer told FBI agents investigating Clinton's private email server.
According to FBI interview notes released Monday, the former security officer described the "stark difference" between Hillary Clinton's conduct as secretary of state and the conduct of her predecessor Condoleezza Rice, who closely adhered to the appropriate protocols. Hillary's "abundant" protocol breaches, on the other hand, were widely known in the diplomatic security community.
One area of particular concern was Hillary’s refusal to follow "standard security and diplomatic" protocol by riding with local U.S. ambassadors in an armored limousine to diplomatic events abroad. It was standard procedure for the secretary of state and the ambassador to arrive together at these events, but Hillary refused, and insisted on riding with her top aide Huma Abedin.
According to the FBI notes, "This frequently resulted in complaints by ambassadors who were insulted and embarrassed by this breach of protocol."
The former security officer said Huma Abedin was likely responsible for ignoring the standard protocols on Clinton’s behalf, and appeared to possess "much more power" than other top aides to secretaries of state.

What was the comment made: "Vote for one and get two?" A more recent quote is Hillary saying she is going to put Slick in charge of the economy if she is elected. Why do I have a vision of Slick Willy's economy as a whore house from hell on steroids where drugs are everywhere?

Hillary saying she is going to put Slick in charge of the economy if she is elected.
I've said it before, but it bears repeating - anyone who thinks having a fucking Federal bureaucrat 'in charge of the economy' has no business being President. What did she say two weeks ago about the economy - 'install a million solar panels' or some such rubbish to get it going again - in some respects she'll be far worse than Obama.
[NYT] A conspiracy theorist has been found dead in Poland -- just days after he texted his mom instructing her to "investigate" should anything happen to him.
Max Spiers, a 39-year-old father of two, was found dead on a sofa in Poland, where he had gone to give a talk about conspiracy theories and UFOs. He was ruled to have died from natural causes despite no post-mortem examination being carried out on his body.
But his dark investigations into UFOs and government coverups may have made him enemies who wanted him dead, says mother Vanessa Bates, 63.
In a chilling text message to his mom just days before his death, Spiers wrote: "Your boy’s in trouble. If anything happens to me, investigate."
Originally from Canterbury, Spiers was a former classmate of Orlando Bloom. He lived in the United States for a few years but returned to the UK to stay with his mother, before jetting off to Poland.

Back in the day, there was a phase where I lived of the jagermeister; to the point where bars had instant-cooler dispensers for cold shots. It was more of a Let's Do This! deal than Hey Let's Enjoy the Evening. I hardly ever made it past the first round, if I even entered the tourney.
Then came the Guinness-bombs. Fortunately, at least where I was at, they never cross propagated.

[al-Manar] Saudi Arabia is prepared to agree to a ceasefire in Yemen if the Ansarullah powerful group agrees, Saudi Foreign Minister Adel al-Jubeir said Monday.
The US, Britain and the United Nations called on Sunday for an immediate and unconditional ceasefire in Yemen in a bid to end the brutal Saudi-led aggression on the country.
Supported by Gulf states, a Saudi-US campaign in Yemen has come under heavy criticism since an airstrike this month on a funeral gathering in the Yemeni capital Sanaa that killed 140 people according to a UN’s estimate.
In order to attract customers to her new restaurant, a restaurant owner in Guiyang came up with a noble if naive promotional policy, allowing diners to order how ever many dishes that they desired and then simply pay whatever they wanted when the bill came.
Turns out, this is a really, really bad idea.
While the tactic did manage to attract many diners to the new karst-themed restaurant on its opening day, on October 2nd, it didn't manage to manage to attract much moolah. Some customers paid only 10% of the cost of their meal, while others dared to leave just 1 RMB on the table. After seven days, the restaurant had lost 100,000 RMB, The Paper reports.
"If our food or service was the problem, then that would be one thing," owner Liu Xiaojun sighed. "But according to customer feedback, our dishes are both filling and tasty. It's just that the payments don't match up with the evaluations."
After just a week, the promotion fell apart. Liu and her two partners got into an argument and one of the partners fled back to his hometown, vowing not to return.

Panera Bread chain tried this a few years ago. My search found two articles related to that program - pay what you want. First was the pee your pants excited about the program. The other was a preliminary report on the St. Louis area results - averaged 75% of listed price, and that there was initially great support, and that fancy restaurants in rich neighborhoods do not have many disadvantaged customers, and that many customers were not aware of the program.
So I would guess that there was an initial support of people paying for a bowl of chili with a $20 and telling the restaurant to keep the change (instead of tipping, heh) and a number of customers just paid the total without knowing the program, and enough people took advantage of the program to counter-act the supporters and drop the average sale to 75%.
No mention of the program on their web site.
I'm guessing other than 15 minutes of glowing publicity: failure.

Ah, so they organized a public charity entity Panera Cares - 2 locations nationwide.
Can't pay for your food, earn a voucher after an hour of volunteer time at the location. Also, can't pay then you have to stay in the restaurant to eat your meal.
Pictures crack me up - certainly not in a food desert, as polite elites would say.
[al-Manar] A suicide car bomb attack claimed by the ISIL group and targeting an Iraqi army checkpoint south of Baghdad Monday killed at least 10 people, security and medical sources said.
The blast in Yusufiya, a frequently targeted area just south of the capital, also left at least 17 people wounded, an interior ministry official said.
A medic at the nearby Mahmudiyah hospital said at least four soldiers were among those killed in the blast.
It came just hours after Iraqi forces launched an offensive to retake second city Mosul, in the north of the country, from ISIL.

[AlManar] Tunisia has dismantled a ‘jihadist’ cell planning attacks including against security officials and a senior government official, a prosecution spokesman said Monday.
“The cell was targeting security officials and a figure holding an important position within the government,” Sofiene Sliti said.
Twenty-nine of the 62 alleged ‘jihadists’ were referred to trial under the country’s anti-terrorism law, Sliti said, while 20 others are on the run.
He said that seven other suspects were already behind bars for other offences while the last six members of the cell are awaiting trial.
Tunisian media said the cell had planned to target Interior Minister Hedi Majdoub, but his ministry and Sliti refused to comment.
Cairo – Tension escalated in Libyan capital between Libyan factions hours after the U.N.-backed government seized a building used by parliament in Tripoli, proclaiming its own authority and demanding a new government in cooperation with the temporary government led by Abdullah al-Thani.
Sources told Asharq Al-Awsat that limited clashes erupted between militias of Chairman of the High Council of State Abdulrahman Asswehly and security of the Rixos Hotel where the Libyan Parliament currently meets.
A parliamentary official told Asharq Al-Awsat that he expects for the situation to escalate in the upcoming hours to regain control over the headquarters of the High Council of State, which is now under the control of militias of former PM Khalifa al-Ghowel’s internationally unrecognized government.
Asswehly threatened to take back the council and granted Ghowel 24 hours to evacuate the office. Yet, the official said that the council is well-secured against any break-in attempts.
The official, who spoke on condition of anonymity, said that people are scared and anxious and war could erupt at any minute now. He added that militias of the U.N-supported government are deployed in certain areas of Tripoli, but they can’t do anything and the Rixos hotel is under control.
Members of Fayez al-Sarraj government said they had taken over the Rixos in the capital, where part of the U.N.-backed government is supposed to operate. The hotel was already controlled by an armed group loyal to them.
Few hours after the militias’ control, former PM Ghowel said that the presidential council had many opportunities to form a government and failed. He called for the formation of a new government.
“The presidential council was given several chances to form the government, but it fails… and has become an illegal executive authority,” Ghwail said in a statement late on Friday.
Ghwail called for a new administration to be formed by his former Tripoli government and its rival in the east, where hardliners also oppose the U.N.-backed administration. He said all institutions including banks, the judiciary and local authorities were under their jurisdiction.
Media bureau of Sarraj said that the presidential council discussed security situation in the country during its meeting.
The presidential council issued a statement saying that Minister of Interior al-Aref al-Khawaj presented a detailed report on the security situation as well as plans set to deal with violations.
“The seizure of the state council is an attempt to hinder the implementation of political agreement by a group which rejects this deal after it has proved its failure in managing the state,” the presidential council said in a statement.
U.N.-backed government posted images on social media of its presidential council and ministers holding a meeting in the main offices of parliament in a different part of Tripoli.
Thani’s government, loyal to the parliament, welcomed Ghwail’s suggestion for a joint government and called upon the parliament to decide on this request as soon as possible.
U.S. State department expressed its great concern about the developments in Libya, saying: “We are in true support for the U.N.-brokered Government of National Accord, which is the legitimate choice of the Libyans and Libyan political parties.”
Likewise, the European Union and United Nations warned of parallel institutions and ensured their support for the GNA government.
Three Frontier Corps personnel were gunned down in Quetta's Sabzal Road area on Friday.
According to police sources, suspected militants opened fire at the FC men. Two men died on the spot, whereas the third succumbed to his injuries on the way to the hospital. The bodies were shifted to a nearby hospital.
The attackers escaped unharmed.
Police and a large contingent of FC arrived at the spot shortly after the incident and investigations into the attack have started.
There has been no claim of responsibility for the attack.
[AnNahar] Armed forces in Niger repelled a pre-dawn attack Monday on a prison where "terrorists", notably from neighboring Mali, are being held, the country's interior minister said.
Mohammed Bazoum said the prison in Koutoukale, about 50 kilometers (30 miles) northwest of the capital Niamey, came under attack at 4 am (0300 GMT). "The enemy was repelled, leaving behind several dead wearing boom belts," he said on social media.
The attack follows the kidnapping of a U.S. aid worker Friday, the first American captured in the west African nation.

"[FormerSpook] The logical starting point is Russia. As John Schindler recently noted in the New York Observer, we are facing a likely nuclear standoff with Russia in the Baltics region, probably before President Obama leaves office. It's no secret that Vladimir Putin has no regard for the American leader, and he is determined to inflict another humiliation on Mr. Obama before he leaves office.
It's long been obvious that Vladimir Putin and his inner circle view Barack Obama with utter contempt. To the hard men in Moscow, who got their schooling in the KGB, our diffident, wordy Ivy League lawyer president is a weakling--almost a caricature of everything they despise about the postmodern West.
Here the Kremlin mirrors most Russians, who find Obama a puzzling and contemptible man. This is nothing new. I’ve heard remarkable put-downs of our commander-in-chief for years, going back to 2008, even from the mouths of highly educated Russians. Their comments are invariably earthy, insulting, and nowhere near politically correct.
It’s therefore no surprise that Russians view Obama with contempt--and so does their leader. As our president winds up his second term and prepares to move out of the White House, the Kremlin simply isn’t bothering to hide that contempt any longer, even in high-level diplomacy, where a modicum of tact is expected.
Of course, Mr. Obama hasn't exactly helped his cause by ignoring Russian provocations and refusing to make tough choices--and stand behind them. That non-existent "red line" in Syria was followed by Putin making (and keeping) his own vow to support long-time ally Bashir Assad. Pentagon analysts claim Russia's military efforts in Syria have been far from a victory, but that misses the central point. Putin didn't go to war to defeat ISIS; his primary objective was to prevent Assad's military collapse and weaken the U.S.-backed rebel groups trying to depose his regime. By those metrics, the deployment has been successful.

Very clear. Comey said her "intent" couldn't be proven (although intent was not a requirement of Federal law). While Hungary has erected razor-wire fences on its borders to try to keep out migrants, Romania is relying on manpower backed by technology for border control in a region stretching from Calafat in the southwest to further north in Beba Veche.
Border guards told The Associated Press this month they are using helicopters and boat patrols on the Danube River, heat-sensitive equipment, cameras on watch towers and devices used to detect heartbeats under trucks.

As I recently said about the Pegster: the slowest kid in the class finally gets it... The case of Peggy Noonan.
Amongst Republicans there are two kinds of Trump-haters: the never-Trumpers who boast that they’ll never support him, and the non-never-Trumpers who say they’ll do so, but only by holding their noses. By their timidity, the latter reveal the tragic flaw that has prevented Republicans from winning elections. They’ll advance their arguments in favor of the Trump issues, and then go on to express their contempt for the man who had the courage to articulate them. Winners don’t do this sort of equivocating.
It’s like the codas one finds in medieval courtly literature, such as De Amore (The Art of Courtly Love), by Andreas Capellanus, believed to be a Capuchin monk. In this delightful discourse on love, Capellanus teaches how ladies and gentlemen should properly prosecute a love affair. The lover is ardent; his love object is doubtful. It’s all very beautiful. At the end, however, a retraction of the entire concept is required, lest the work be deemed improper by the Church. So there’s a coda, where the worldly priest exonerates himself by describing how disgusting women are and warning men to resist their natural inclinations lest they burn in everlasting hell.
In a variation on this method, Peggy Noonan, Conservatism’s sweetheart, describes four of Hillary’s transgressions, while exonerating herself by damning Donald Trump as well.
Just because I condemn her, doesn’t mean I like him, she protests, and thereby betrays her weakness.
First, there’s Hillary’s Russian connection, including the Uranium One scandal. This is where the Clintons, while Hillary was Secretary of State, pushed forward a number of deals backed by the State Department, which resulted in Russia owning large uranium stakes in Kazakhstan and the U.S. In this way, Russia acquired means to make nuclear fuel and, in return, the Clinton Foundation received $31 million and a pledge of an additional $100 million from one of the principles, and Bill Clinton received $500,000 for giving a speech.
In another deal, Secretary Clinton pushed for a joint U.S.-Russian technology initiative which gave Russia access to U.S. classified and sensitive information, as well to emerging technologies. In return, shares in the consortium were handed out to investors who were also Clinton Foundation donors. Some in the State Department were alarmed, but the Clintons were hugely enriched.

Actually I trust Hillary.
I trust her to drive the last nail into the coffin of civic liberties and human dignity in USA - and hence the rest of the world (because everybody "western" imitates the USA).
I trust her, to support "Palestinians" most egregious demands.
I trust her to heat up the "New Cold War", which her husband created by attacking Serbia.

The biggest difference between most Republicans and most Democrats is Republicans have scruples and won't support a candidate they don't like. Democrats will support their candidate o matter what she's done.

DB- you're absolutely correct. And that goes a long way in explaining why the Republicans haven't won a presidential election since 2004 and-- given the way things are going and barring some unforeseen turn of events-- probably won't win another one in this lifetime; because the Democrats have no scruples and the deck has been stacked against Republicans.
#11
The Republican party has always been an uneasy alliance between fratricidal twins. On the one hand you have the Rockefeller / Establishment / RINO types. On the other you have conservatives, constitutionalists and the religious right.
In the past, when the establishment types won a primary the conservative types would fall in line to support the candidate. What's happened in the last decade is that the conservative types have realized that the establishment types were taking their support for granted. They used to throw us the occasional bone. No longer.
The obvious, and probably belated, result is that conservatives types have stopped automatically supporting establishment type candidates, and without our support they generally can't win.
Now, the establishment types have never felt obligated to support conservative candidates, but there has been change here as well. Now the establishment types are actively working with Democrats and the Left to defeat conservative candidates.
Obviously, this can't continue if the Republican party is to remain viable.
[PJ] Westside Armory in Las Vegas is having a "Pre-Hillary" gun sale, predicting a surge in firearm purchases should the anti-Second Amendment Clinton win the election in November. Get on in there before the price gouging starts!
The Las Vegas gun store Westside Armory is predicting a Hillary Clinton victory in November, and it has a message for customers: Buy now, because things are going to get expensive. In an advertisement over the weekend in the Las Vegas Review-Journal, Westside Armory said it was holding a "Pre-Hillary Sale" on tactical rifles, warning of a price surge if the Democratic nominee wins the presidential election next month.
"Don’t wait!" the advertisement reads. "Prices will skyrocket after Crooked Hillary gets in." That's probably true. The Washington Post thinks it's crazy that anyone would be worried Clinton would try to ban guns.
The reference to "Crooked Hillary" -- Donald Trump’s nickname for Clinton -- is a clear appeal to supporters of the Republican nominee, who has accused Clinton of wanting to "get rid of all the guns" and "essentially abolish the Second Amendment."

Iraqi Prime Minister Haider Al-Abadi announced the start of the operations on state television, launching the country on its toughest battle since American troops left nearly five years ago.

It has been "broadcast" to the bad guys (who are they again?) that Iraq has offered Isis an "escape route."
Zero, Hilda and the rest are hoping for a "Liberation of Mosul" meme to carry "She Whose Name May Not Be Spoken" through the election.
