[Zero] The Ragin’ Cajun, I believe, coined the phrase "Nuts and Sluts" to succinctly describe the tactic used by the elites I call The Davos Crowd to smear and destroy someone they’ve targeted.
Brett Kavanaugh is the latest victim of this technique. But, there have been dozens of victims I can list from Gary Hart in the 1980’s to former IMF head Dominique Strauss-Kahn to Donald Trump.
"Nuts and Sluts" is easy to understand. Simply accuse the person you want to destroy of being either crazy (the definition of which shifts with whatever is the political trigger issue of the day) or a sexual deviant.
This technique works because it triggers most people’s Disgust Circuit, a term created by Mark Schaller as part of what he calls the Behavioral Immune System and popularized by Johnathan Haidt.
The disgust circuit is easy to understand.
It is the limit at which behavior in others triggers our gut-level outrage and we recoil with disgust.
The reason "Nuts and Sluts" works so well on conservative candidates and voters is because, on average, conservatives have a much stronger disgust circuit than liberals and/or libertarians.
This is why it always seems to be that anyone who threatens the global order or the political system always turns out to have some horrible sexual deviance in their closet.
It’s why the only thing any of us remember about the infamous Trump Dossier is the image of Trump standing on a bed in a Moscow hotel room urinating on a hooker.
The technique is used to drive a wedge between Republican voters and lawmakers and make it easy for them to go along with whatever stupidity is brought forth by the press and the Democrats.
And don’t think for a second that, more often than not, GOP leadership isn’t in cahoots with the DNC on these take-downs. Because they are.

Judge Kavanaugh onto the Supreme Court, they're just going to feel annihilated inside."

I disagree. Pulling fictitious numbers out of the air is a weak mans ploy, a bluff. They fear the truth in numbers is overwhelmingly against them. We finally get Kavanaugh’s nomination voted out of committee. And then, as a final floor vote is about to be scheduled and debated, Republicans ‐ taking their lead from the ineffable Jeff Flake ‐ agree to accede to one more Democratic request (really, just one more, cross-our-hearts . . .). And what would that be?

The problem is that the accuser came across as believable,at least iflooked actin isolation, and Kavanaugh did not come across as likeable, again in isolation. And isolation is all most people see - and vote on. Flake’s move was probably necessary if the final vote to confirm is to succeed. Like it or not, even the Stupid Party hacks are pros at the game.

If a one-week investigation gives the likes of Murkowski and Collins the cover they need to confirm Kavanaugh it will be worth it. I would like to believe the odds are extremely high the FBI will find nothing to support Ford's accusation. But what troubled me the most was a report that Flake was on the telephone with Rod Rosenstein before this decision was made. Also troubling is the fact that he will not face voters in November. I sure hope he's not pulling a McCain on us.

[Free Beacon] The defense spending bill passed by the House of Representatives Wednesday includes $1 million for the Pentagon to hire "gender advisors."
An amendment sponsored by Democrats passed by voice vote to give women "a seat at the table" during diplomatic negotiations.
"When women's voices are heard, they can be catalysts for change‐especially when it comes to peace," said Rep. Lois Frankel (D., Fla.), after her amendment was included in the defense spending bill.
The amendment authorizes $1 million in taxpayer-funding for the Department of Defense to hire "gender advisors" and for training on "gender perspectives at the war colleges."
"I'm thrilled my amendment securing funding for women in security efforts passed today, which will: (1) provide $3 million for our military branches to implement the Women, Peace and Security Act, helping countries to integrate women into security efforts and (2) Provide the Department of Defense $1 million to hire gender advisors who will assist in military missions and training to make sure more women are involved in foreign operations," Frankel said. "Women can create long-lasting peace‐let's give them a seat at the table!"
The text of the amendment specifically calls for $900,000 for training on the "meaningful participation of women" and $100,000 for training on "gender perspectives."

The A.B.A. request was made on Thursday evening in a letter from the association's president, Robert M. Carlson, to the Senate Judiciary Committee's chairman, Charles E. Grassley, an Iowa Republican, and Senator Dianne Feinstein of California, the senior Democrat on the panel.
The bar association urged that senators vote on Judge Kavanaugh's nomination "only after an appropriate background check into the allegations made by Professor Blasey and others is completed by the Federal Bureau of Investigation," the letter said.
The call for a pause is significant not just because of the bar association's clout in the legal community, but because an A.B.A. committee had said unanimously a month ago that Judge Kavanaugh was "well qualified" for the Supreme Court, its highest possible designation.

The Senate Judiciary Committee released this letter on Friday from the ABA stating that Robert Carlson, the President of the American Bar Association who wrote the letter, didn't get the it approved by the committee that actually votes on this sort of thing and that the ABA's rating of Judge Kavanaugh "is not affected"
So either the president went rogue... or they are playing both ends against the middle. If they are determined to be neutral they at least need to sensor the president, but better outright fire him. [DAWN] Chief of Army Staff (COAS) Gen Qamar Javed Bajwa on Friday confirmed death sentences awarded to 11 hardcore terrorists, according to the army's media wing.
The convicts were involved in heinous offences related to terrorism, including attacking armed forces, law enforcement agencies, destruction of an educational institution and killing of innocent civilians, said the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR).
The convicted hard boyz were involved in the killing of 69 people ‐ 49 civilians and 20 uniform persons ‐ and injuring 148 others.
Arms and explosives had also been recovered from their possession. A special military court had awarded death sentence to these convicts, added ISPR. The court also awarded imprisonment to four convicts.

The "ordered departure" of the consulate was announced Friday by State Department spokeswoman Heather Nauert.
Consular services will be provided from the US. Embassy in Baghdad.
Secretary of State Mike Pompeo tweeted on Tuesday that Iran-supported militias had launched rocket attacks against the US Embassy in Baghdad and the consulate in Basra.
The move to evacuate Basra comes as the Trump administration is increasing pressure on Iran ahead of powerful sanctions set to go into effect in November.

He said that the government would offer amnesty to local al-Shabaab members if they came forward.
Mr. Birik said asked the recruits to denounce the group and even seek the government’s help.
"I want to assure those who will surrender within the three months period will be pardoned. This message should reach everybody. We will also ensure their safety," Birik said.
Birik noted that although the government has put measures to restore and sustain security in the region, the residents have even a bigger role to play.
"Criminals live within communities and it is necessary that residents volunteer relevant information to security officers," he said.
The administrator directed chiefs and their assistants operating from urban centers to immediately go back to their duty stations, saying their absence was partly to blame for insecurity in parts of the region.

[Al Jazeera] Pope Francis defrocked a Chilean priest who was at the centre of a global sex abuse scandal rocking his papacy.
A statement issued by the Vatican on Friday said Father Fernando Karadima, 88, was "reduced to the lay state" by the pope, a move it called "exceptional" and done "for the good of the Church".
Karadima sexually abused teenage boys over many years and now lived in a home for the elderly in the Chilean capital, Santiago.
He was found guilty in a Vatican investigation in 2011 and ordered to live a life of "prayer and penitence", but was not defrocked at the time, the final years of the reign of former Pope Benedict.
That meant he was still a priest, although he could not minister in public.
Karadima, who has always denied any wrongdoing, escaped civilian justice because of the statute of limitations in the country.
Seven Chilean bishops have resigned since June after an investigation into an alleged cover-up of Karadima's crimes, some of them former proteges of Karadima, who prepared them for the priesthood as young men in Santiago's up-scale, conservative El Bosque neighbourhood.

[National Review] The Senate should elevate Judge Brett Kavanaugh to the United States Supreme Court. Thursday’s hearing was at times compelling, at times emotional, and at times frustrating. At no point, however, was it transformational. When the day started, there was no corroborating evidence behind any of the charges leveled against Kavanaugh. That remains the case now.
Although she was subject to only the lightest cross-examination, Kavanaugh’s accuser, Christine Blasey Ford, acquitted herself well. Indeed, as Kavanaugh himself acknowledged, it seems entirely possible that at some point in her life, Ford was sexually assaulted. That is a terrible thing. Nevertheless, the charge that Kavanaugh was responsible for the attack remains extremely weak ‐ even non-existent. Every single named witness has either rejected Ford’s story outright or testified that he or she has no memory of it. One of those witnesses, a lifetime friend of Ford’s, not only affirmed she had never attended a party with Kavanaugh ‐ with or without Ford ‐ but that she did not in fact know him at all. And, as Ford herself acknowledged, there are serious gaps in her account.
That Kavanaugh believes himself to be wholly innocent was clear from his extraordinary opening statement. Rarely in American life has any figure pushed back so indignantly or professed his innocence with more vehemence. His reputation, Kavanaugh insisted, had been "totally and permanently destroyed," his life made a living "hell." Echoing Clarence Thomas in 1991, Kavanaugh described the last ten days as a "circus" and repeated on more than one occasion that he had wanted to appear at a hearing from the moment the charges had been presented. Frequently, he broke down into tears.
After Kavanaugh had made his plea, the senators on the Democratic side of the aisle were noticeably muted. Perhaps the vagueness of the charges they had been asked to consider had made their jobs effectively impossible. Perhaps they had been shocked by the intensity of the accused’s protestations. Either way, the ten members of the minority descended swiftly into repetition ‐ and, at times, into farce. One after another they asked Kavanaugh to ask for an FBI investigation into himself, no doubt so that they could tell the world that he was under such an investigation and delay his vote as long as possible. And, when that failed, they resorted to litigating his high-school yearbook or to making insinuations about his drinking. Unusually for a nominee, Kavanaugh was aggressive in his rebuttals, demanding that he be allowed to finish his answers, expressing his frustration with the gamesmanship, and at times asking derisive questions back at the senators.
COMMENTS
Kavanaugh said repeatedly that his reputation and career must not be laid waste by an accusation that he denied and for which there is no independent evidence. The larger principle here is that it would be a disaster for American democracy ‐ and American culture more generally ‐ if mere charges were deemed sufficient to cast widely respected figures to the curb. At various points during this saga it has been suggested that, irrespective of their veracity, the allegations against Kavanaugh could "cast a shadow on the Court." If permitted to stand, this view would bring untold peril to our public life. "I have accused you," any opponent would be able to say, "and that fact renders you ineligible for this position."
Two weeks ago, what we knew of Judge Kavanaugh suggested that he is a man of immense talent, impeccable temperament, and excellent character. Nothing that has happened in the intervening days, certainly not Kavanaugh’s warranted anger today, has altered our view. "Judge" and "Defendant" are two wholly discrete roles, which is why judges recuse themselves when their personal affairs and those of the court intersect. In support of his innocence, Judge Kavanaugh has today’s testimony, and the reams of information provided over the last two weeks. In support of his suitability for the role for which he has been proposed, he has his life’s work. The Senate should confirm him ‐ and without delay.
The Ukrainian Orthodox Church of the Moscow Patriarchate (UOC-MP) reports that activists of the right-wing radical group Right Sector have seized the Cathedral of the Holy Trinity of the UOC-MP in the village of Bohorodchany in Ivano-Frankivsk region.

Today in Zhitomir September 28, during the trial of the blogger Muravitsky , a fight broke out between his support group and activists of the C-14 (Right Sector). After this activists noticed near the cafe "ShariKava" along Kievskaya street, where they staged another action against this institution.
The battle took place between the young guys in balaclava, in clothes with the symbols "C14" and employees of "Sharikawa." [News and Observer] A military fighter jet crashed on a small island about five miles from the Marine Corps Air Station in Beaufort just before noon Friday, according officials from the Beaufort County Sheriff’s Office and the Marine Corps.
The pilot ejected safely, but was being evaluated for injuries, according to Capt. Bob Bromage, spokesperson for the sheriff’s office. There were no other injuries reported. No one on the ground was hurt.
The plane crash was reported on Little Barnwall Island near Clarendon Road and Joe Allen Drive in the Grays Hill area at 11:45 a.m., the sheriff’s office said in a news release.
Capt. Christopher Harrison, a Marine Corps spokesman, said the plane that crashed was a single-seat, F-35B with Marine Training Squadron VMFAT-501.
[FOX] A German tourist has been trampled to death by an elephant in Zimbabwe as she tried to take photos of it.
The 49-year-old was at the Mana Pools game reserve north of the country, where she reportedly left the vehicle she was travelling in, putting herself in great danger.
The woman was with a group of tourists who encountered a herd of elephants upon entering the park.
Tinashe Farawo, spokesman of the Zimbabwe Parks and Wildlife Management Authority, said: “The information we have is that the tourists encountered a herd of elephants when they were entering the park and they started taking pictures.
“We do not know what irritated the animals which resulted in the woman being attacked. She passed on last night (Wednesday) from injuries.

A 21-year-old Syrian-born Paleostinian man has been arrested in Germany on suspicion of planning to carry out a terror attack in Israel using chemical weapons, according to German media reports.
Security forces armed with automatic weapons arrested the man last week outside a restaurant in Berlin’s Neukölln neighborhood, Bild reported Thursday.
The man had already recruited others to join the Islamic State terror group, the report stated.
The German Federal Intelligence Service (BND) reportedly received a tip from a foreign security service about the man, who arrived some time ago from Libya using a false passport.
The German newspaper Welt reported that the man intended to use chemical weapons for his planned terror attack in Israel, and in a phone call intercepted by security officials stated that he had already acquired the necessary materials.
However, it's easy to be generous with someone else's money... police had not yet found the materials, the reports stated, and the investigation was ongoing.
According to police, the man was arrested several months ago for assault during a brawl.
Welt reported that the man was already known to law enforcement officials for his aggressive behavior and Death Eater views.

According to reports, the United Nations commissioned a plane to take Salah and Moudin, the sons of slain former president out of Yemen, according to the agreement which led to their release from the Houthi captivity.
The plane took off from the Jordanian capital Amman airport and headed to Sanaa but the Houthis prevented its landing, forcing the plane to return to Amman after the non-response of the pro-Iranian Houthi militia to allow it to land at Sanaa airport, which confirms the lack of seriousness of the Houthi militias and their violations of international laws.
It is noteworthy that the Houthis have conditioned the arrival of an Omani plane to Sanaa International Airport to transfer the former slain presidents’ relatives to the Omani capital Muscat, while the Arab coalition backing the legitimacy in Yemen ...an area of the Arabian Peninsula sometimes mistaken for a country. Some of the bikers participating in a cycling event in Tel Aviv on Friday were forced to stop for a short while as they were blocked by residents of south Tel Aviv protesting the government's failure to deal with the phenomenon of the proliferation of Africa migrants colonists in their neighborhoods.
The activists from the "Front for the Liberation of South Tel Aviv" led by Shefi Paz blocked the path of cyclists taking part in the Cycle Tel Aviv event.
The activists held signs reading "Danger, hostile Eritrean territory" and "no entry to Jews" and called out to the riders: "Good morning, dear riders, welcome to South Tel Aviv. For those who don’t know, it is dangerous here. Pray that you can leave safely.
"You ride in safety and we live in fear, you ride a bike and we have been living for ten years in madness and inside a ghetto, and the State of Israel does nothing," was the message they told the bikers.
The activists clashed with some of the riders, who were forced to slow down because of the protest, some shouting at the demonstrators "Come on, this is neither the time nor the place."
Police removed the demonstrators from the road. According to them, before the race, the activists were warned to avoid disrupting the cycling route.
"The police in the area removed the rioters from the road and allowed the safe passage of the riders to continue," read a statement issued by the police after the demonstration. "The Israel Police will continue to secure the cycling routes throughout Tel Aviv and allow the tens of thousands of participants to have a safe and enjoyable ride."
The bicycle event, which is taking place in Tel Aviv for the tenth year, has about 30,000 participants. Hundreds of coppers were placed along the main traffic arteries, but could not prevent the activists running on to the road. As part of the event, many roads were blocked, including large sections of the Ayalon South route.
At around 12:00, the police announced that all the closed roads had been reopened.
Before the sexual revolution, there were certain mores that the sexes were expected to follow in regard to sex and romance. Of these, not having sex before marriage and children out of wedlock were by far the most important. Although not everyone ever followed it, the loss of this bourgeois script has seen collective organic wisdom superseded by personal autonomy. Having unleashed rampant chaos in the culture, that change now shows its worst effects in the debased family and in the weird puritanism that has emerged in response to the anything-goes attitude toward sex. Such puritanism seems quite ironic, to be sure, and yet it merely signifies the need for more social order and moral cohesion amid unfettered eros.
With this context in mind, we can better understand the ongoing Brett Kavanaugh controversy. On Sunday, The New Yorker published an article by Jane Meyer and Ronan Farrow that led the farce to take on more ridiculous proportions. Perhaps the most influential journalist in the #MeToo movement, Farrow is an ambitious man and hardly strikes one as an unbiased reporter. He is the son of actress Mia Farrow and director Woody Allen (from whom he is estranged), and the gay man is perhaps motivated in part by his own rather unhappy family romance, to borrow an apt term from Sigmund Freud.
Say the reporters:
The woman at the center of the story, Deborah Ramirez, who is 53, attended Yale with Kavanaugh, where she studied sociology and psychology. Later, she spent years working for an organization that supports victims of domestic violence. ‘The New Yorker’ contacted Ramirez after learning of her possible involvement in an incident involving Kavanaugh. The allegation was conveyed to Democratic senators by a civil-rights lawyer. For Ramirez, the sudden attention has been unwelcome, and prompted difficult choices. She was at first hesitant to speak publicly, partly because her memories contained gaps because she had been drinking at the time of the alleged incident. In her initial conversations with ‘The New Yorker,’ she was reluctant to characterize Kavanaugh’s role in the alleged incident with certainty. After six days of carefully assessing her memories and consulting with her attorney, Ramirez said that she felt confident enough of her recollections to say that she remembers Kavanaugh had exposed himself at a drunken dormitory party, thrust his penis in her face, and caused her to touch it without her consent as she pushed him away. Ramirez is now calling for the F.B.I. to investigate Kavanaugh’s role in the incident. “I would think an F.B.I. investigation would be warranted,” she said.
What Meyer and Farrow don’t tell us is that before The New Yorker spoke with Ramirez, The New York Times had already heard her story, but since they couldn’t find anyone to substantiate it, despite doing dozens of interviews, the paper chose not to “give a voice to her silence,” as cant peddlers would put it.
“Without her consent” is a significant and revealing phrase. For today we are supposed to believe that any heterosexual activity that is not preceded by a woman’s verbal consent is wrong by definition. But as I showed in my last column, this mad simplification is contrary to the essential ambiguity of sex and romance. Besides, by this standard most men in history must be deemed sexual assaulters.
[Khaama (Afghanistan)] At least 48 turbans including a Tajikistani national were killed or maimed during the operations of the Afghan Special Forces in northern Kunduz province of Afghanistan.
The 209th Shaheen Corps of the Afghan Military in the North issued a statement earlier today confirming that the turbans were killed or maimed during the operations conducted in the past 72 hours.
The statement further added that the operations were conducted in the vicinity of Chahar Dara district, leaving at least 31 turbans dead, including a Tajikistani national.
According to 209th Shaheen Corps, the shadow district chief of the Taliban ...the Pashtun equivalent of men... for Aliabad dsitrict Qari Nematullah was also among those killed.
At least 17 turbans were also maimed during the same operations, the 209th Shaheen Corps said, adding that at least 48 improvised bomb were also discovered and defused during the same operations.
The Afghan forces also confiscated 3 vehicles, and seized the control of 11 compounds, 3 improvised bombs manufacturing factories, 60 fuses of mines, and some other military kits, the statement added.

[RADIOSHABELLE] The European Union ...the successor to the Holy Roman Empire, only without the Hapsburgs and the nifty uniforms and the dancing... approved in full its first-ever budget support operation in the Federal Republic of Somalia.
Amounting to a total of €100 million to be disbursed from the fourth quarter of 2018 until 2021, this budget support will be channeled through the Federal Government using country systems.
Implementation will start in October following an agreement on safeguard measures, which will enable greater capacity support to the Federal Government and Federal Member States, better risk mitigation, verification and audit, as well as on performance indicators to incentivise reforms in the areas of public financial management, rule of law, fisheries, education among others.
With this budget support operation (also called State Building and Resilience Contract in Somalia), the European Union aims to support federalism in Somalia through increased and improved inter-governmental fiscal transfers from the Federal Government to its the Federal Member States.
It will also reinforce the social contract between the Federal Government and the Somali population by gradually increasing the role of the Somali authorities in the provision of basic services.

[ALMASDARNEWS] The Ottoman Turkish-backed Free Syrian Army ... the more palatable version of the Syrian insurgency, heavily influenced by the Moslem Brüderbund... (FSA) and Kurdish-led Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) reportedly clashed outside the town of Manbij this morning after a relatively quiet few months.
According to local activists, the FSA and SDF clashed inside a town located north Manbij, as both forces exchanged gunfire and artillery shells.
No ground has been gained by either side, despite the intense exchange.
Currently, the U.S. Coalition and Ottoman Turkish military patrol the Manbij area as part of a deal that was established between Washington and Ankara earlier this year.

[DAWN] Two polio ...Poliomyelitis is a disease caused by infection with the poliovirus. Between 1840 and the 1950s, polio was a worldwide epidemic. Since the development of polio vaccines the disease has been largely wiped out in the civilized world. However, since the vaccine is known to make Moslem pee-pees shrink and renders females sterile, bookish, and unsubmissive it is not widely used by the turban and automatic weapons set... workers were manhandled in Khuda Ki Basti area in Kotri on Wednesday over administration of polio drops to a child.
The family members snatched their boxes and misbehaved with lady health workers (LHWs) Sultana and Fatima. LHWs visited the house of one Majeed Bozdar in Khuda Ki Basti, but his family did not let them administer polio drops to the child on the ground that he was suffering from fever.
LHWs’ insistence on inoculating the child against polio led to an unpleasant situation and women members of the family snatched their boxes. Health officials were called by LHWs and later Kotri police were informed about it.
Police have picked up Majeed Bozdar.
Kotri ASP Suhaee Talpur said health officials avoided registration of FIR and said the family should apologise to them. She said the Bozdar family claimed that their child was already having a polio-like illness that was why they refused.
All Sindh LHW Employees Union condemned the incident, saying that if LHWs were provided security, the incident would not have occurred.
They were being forced to boycott the anti-polio campaign, but they would continue it. If a similar incident was repeated, they would resort to protest, they said.

Sources privy of the development within the Taliban leadership have said that the Afghan officials have held talks with the Taliban group representatives regarding the security of upcoming elections.
"They requested us to help them conduct peaceful elections," one of the Taliban leaders has told Rooters.
The Taliban leader further added that "The Afghan delegation has agreed with us on the release of prisoners."
He has also added that some prisoners facing minor charges had already been released and officials had divided up others into three categories, depending on their importance, for future release.
The Afghan government officials have not commented regarding the report so far.

[Al Jazeera] The spokesperson for Gazoo's health ministry confirmed the killing of six protesters and the wounding of 506 others on the 27th Friday of protests.
Mohammed Nayef al-Houm, 14, was shot in the chest by Israeli sniper fire east of al-Bureij in Gazoo's middle district.
Iyad Khalil al-Shaaer, 18, was also killed during the protests, the ministry's spokesperson Ashraf al-Qidra said.
A 12-year-old boy, Nasser Mosabih, also succumbed to his wounds after being shot in the head east of Khan Younis in Gazoo's south.
Mohammed Ali Mohammed Anshasi, 18, was also killed in Khan Younis.
Two other Paleostinians killed by Israeli gunfire have not yet been identified.

[Al Jazeera] Danish police on Friday cut off the eastern island of Zealand, where the capital Copenhagen sits, from the rest of the country as well as from neighbouring Germany and Sweden as they launched a nationwide manhunt over a suspected kidnapping.
Bridges from Denmark's Zealand to the central island of Funen and to Sweden, as well as ferry crossings to Germany and Sweden, were closed, causing major traffic jams near bridges to Sweden and to the mainland.
Danish police said in a statement that they "are searching for a black Swedish-registered Volvo V90 with registration number ZBP 546".
"The vehicle probably contains three persons linked to a serious crime," the statement said.
Calle Persson, a press front man for the Swedish police, told Swedish newspaper Aftonbladet the "scene of the crime" was Malmo airport in Sweden.
Television footage showed cars being checked as they drove through roadblocks at the Oresund bridge to Sweden, causing traffic jams up to 15km long, according to the Danish Road Directorate.
The car is registered with First Rent A Car in Stockholm. Police warned the public not to approach the individuals in the vehicle.
Denmark's TV2 said a police helicopter and a search with canine squads was spotted on the highway near Roskilde, 25km west of Copenhagen.
Copenhagen airport remained open during the manhunt, according to its website.
Copenhagen police later said all bridges and ferry crossings had been reopened, but heavily armed coppers were screening cars at bridges and ferries across the country.
Though the bridges and ferry crossings have opened, police "have personnel standing at every connection to make manual checks", Copenhagen police spokesperson Riad Tolba was quoted as saying by UK newspaper The Telegraph.

They have also been referred to as the Believing Youth. Hussein Badreddin al-Houthi is said to be the spiritual leader of the group and most of the military leaders are his relatives. The Yemeni government has accused the Houthis of having ties to the Iranian government, which wouldn't suprise most of us. The group has managed to gain control over all of Saada Governorate and parts of Amran, Al Jawf and Hajjah Governorates. Its slogan is God is Great, Death to America™, Death to Israel, a curse on the Jews ... militias in the al-Bayda and al-Hodeidah provinces, resulting in deaths of dozens including four of its leaders in al-Bayda.
Military sources said that those killed included Houthi leaders Jamal Yahya al-Dailami, Mohammed al-Ansi, Mattar Mohsen Muqaddam, one of the leaders from al-Jouf province, and Abdul Karim Ali al-’Azzi, the supply and distribution officer.
On the western coast, the forces carried out an operation in coordination with the Arab Coalition targeting the barracks and sites of the Houthi militias in the villages of al-Balakma and Mahwah east of the Directorate of Tahita in Hodeidah governorate.

The operation resulted in the death and wounding of dozens of militias and the destruction of a weapons store and Houthi ammunition in the villages of Malajm and Mahwah. Coalition aircraft have launched several raids on militia positions and locations throughout the east and north of Hodeidah.
Local sources confirmed that the raids resulted in the destruction of weapons and reinforcement for the militias located in one of the western suburbs of Halaka market, which was used by the Houthis as a supply center for its units around the city.
The raids also targeted several locations near the Central Security Camp, in 50 Street, the northern area of the sixteen-kilometer triangle and the coastal defense building in Salif district.
