San Antonio: Eight Illegal Immigrants Found Dead in Tractor Trailer
[Breitbart] Police in San Antonio discovered eight illegal aliens in a tractor trailer parked in a Walmart parking lot early Sunday morning. Approximately 20 persons were in "extremely critical" or "very serious" condition.

The air conditioner was not working in the trailer. Many of those found had heart rates of over 130 beats per minute and suffered from heat stroke. More causalities are expected, officials stated. Thirty-eight people were in the trailer. Two of those were school age children. In total, police found 38 people in and around the trailer.

Police apprehended the driver of the truck at the scene.

Walmart employees become aware of the situation after one of the aliens approached them and asked for water. Police arrived at the scene shortly after midnight Sunday morning, KENS5 reported. At least 29 fire rescue units arrived at the scene and two AirLIFE helicopters assisted in transporting the most critically ill patients.

Others in the trailer survived long enough to be rescued and taken to a local hospital. Those included two 15-year-old juveniles.

#4  This is commonly called the Mexican Winnebago. Unfortunately the driver is separated from the passengers and even if he does hear them he is supposed to act like he doesn't hear anything.

One Sunday morning I went in to the office and saw what turned out to be a Mexican Winnebago pull in behind the office building in the back parking lot. The driver gets out of the cab and goes and opens the doors of the 18 wheeler trailer and it seemed like a hundred people poured out followed by huge amounts of clothes and belongings they brought with them. All morning people were pulling in to pick up the occupants and then around noon the Mexican Winnebago was gone and everything was like Sunday again.

Government
National Weather Service cancels its union contract
In what could be the first major labor showdown of the Trump administration, the National Weather Service announced it will cancel its contract with the union representing about 3,800 of its meteorologists and other workers.

The federal agency said it's a somewhat routine move to restart negotiations, but the union called it a bizarre surprise.

An outside expert, University of California labor law professor David Rosenfeld, called it "a shot across the bow of the union."
Trump effect? Or message to Federal Unions in general?
Weather Service deputy director Mary Erickson said terminating the 16-year-old contract is the next step in the negotiating process. In 2015, the agency sent a notice to the union that it intended to do this.

She said it is not about cutting jobs.

"Our intent is to get a stronger, newer more modern agreement in place," Erickson said.

Union president Daniel Sobien said the move blindsided his group, which has already enlisted a mediator.

"Honest to God, I don't understand why they did this; it makes no sense," Sobien said. "To my knowledge it's never been done before. To my knowledge it violates our agreement."

-Short Attention Span Theater-
Homeless camp moves onto Raiders stadium site in Las Vegas
[Las Vegas Review Journal] The Oakland Raiders haven’t started building their stadium in Las Vegas, but there’s already some activity at the project site.

A homeless encampment has taken shape on the football team’s land. The cluster of property and trash is below a billboard off Dean Martin Drive that, as of last week, advertised a garage-door company on one side and singer Mariah Carey’s performances at Caesars Palace on the other.

At the encampment, a mattress was lying on one or two wooden pallets and covered with belongings. A shopping cart, buckets, empty cups and water bottles, a toolbox and other items also were strewn about.

A handwritten sign there was partially covered from view but mentioned food, water and supplies.

"Anything you can spare is a blessing," the sign said.

Nobody was seen there Monday morning, but two people were there at least at one point last week.

A Raiders spokesperson could not be reached for comment Monday.

Urban Institute Researchers: Lack of white folks responsible for Chicago Income Disparity, Homicide Rate
[PJ] WASHINGTON ‐ Chicago’s South Shore is three blocks from Lake Michigan and runs adjacent to Jackson Park, a public space designed by Frederick Law Olmsted, one of the architects of Central Park. A commuter rail system delivers residents to downtown in 10 minutes, and the neighborhood is a mix of single-family homes with well-manicured lawns and dense urban housing.

South Shore is also 96 percent African-American and lacks access to high-quality public schooling. It’s not uncommon for residents to pay $20,000 or more for private education. Meanwhile, the commercial corridor vacancy rate hovers above 30 percent, and the neighborhood is not immune from Chicago’s historically high murder rate, which saw nearly 800 people killed in 2016.

Joanna Trotter, senior program officer for the Chicago Community Trust, described these contrasts on Friday while discussing the inequality she says pervades American metropolitan areas, brought on by economic segregation that Urban Institute researchers insist is getting worse.

#2  The article offers little in the way of solutions or remedies.

Stiffer penalties for rural living must be enacted to offset the obvious disparity and scourge of apartheid. Placing federally funded education and healthcare facilities in urban areas will force a return migration.

Rural areas can be used for correctional facilities, which will bring inner-city visitors to less populated rural areas to see their incarcerated loved ones. This will encourage eventual re-location and spread criminal activity more evenly.

Rural areas can declared Federal Eco-friendly, Wildlife Zones and can be placed off-limits for human habitation. Profits from Natural resources (oil & gas) exploration in these controlled zones can be redirected to vital government income redistribution programs.

Problem urban areas can be saturated with H-1B holders. This will assist re-integration efforts, encourage entrepreneurship, work ethic, and thrift (See San Francisco's Chinatown).

There, now why has no one else thought of that ?

Target Trump: Use of Police State Tactics Is Un-American
[American Thinker] Never in American history has a sitting president (and his family) been hounded with unfounded criminal investigations as has President Trump. While still a candidate, the Democrats and their propaganda arm in the mainstream media brought forth the scurrilous charge of Russian collusion with not a shred of evidence to support their charge. It's a fishing expedition in search of a crime.

Not a week goes by without a new revelation of an alleged meeting between members of President Trump's cabinet or family members with perceived Russian agents. General Michael Flynn, Attorney General Jeff Sessions, Jared Kushner, Donald Trump Jr., and now Ivanka Trump whose security clearance is now being challenged have all been accused of collusion. That and the recent announcement by appointed Special Prosecutor Robert Mueller of his intent to broaden the investigation into Trump's businesses is symptomatic of tactics used by police states to threaten their opposition into compliance, surrender or removal. It is un-American and a danger to our Republic.

Last June, Fusion GPS, a Washington firm that specializes in opposition research for the Democratic Party hired Christopher Steele, a former M16 British spy to create a fake dossier to hurt Trump's candidacy and his Presidency. The plot was paid for by a reported Hillary Clinton backer. Although the dossier was unverified, John McCain, a vocal critic of President Trump, brought the unverified dossier to the United States and gave it to the FBI. Fusion then released the unverified dossier to the press and they along with Democratic operatives have been using it ever since to continue to harm the Trump administration.

Israel-Palestine-Jordan
Sympathy for terrorists: State Department touts Palestinian charade
[American Thinker] Judging by the standard used by the authors of State Department's reporting on Israel in the newly released Country Reports on Terrorism for 2016, the Palestinian terrorist who violently stabbed to death three Israelis and seriously wounded another as they celebrated the Shabbat and the birth of a new grandson should not be held responsible.

Why? Because as the State Department puts it, it is the "frustration" with and "perception" of Israel's policies that drives Palestinian terrorists to murder Israelis.

The State Department's report claims that the "[c]ontinued drivers of [Palestinian] violence" are Israel's policies. Accordingly, Palestinian terrorists like this one commit violence not because schools, television, newspapers, mosques, and social media are constantly inciting to violence against Israel and its Jewish citizens. Moreover, the report praises Mahmoud Abbas's "commitment to fight terrorism" and call for "culture of peace and tolerance and the renunciation of violence and extremism." It also notes that the "PA's Palestinian Broadcasting Company's code of conduct does not allow programming that encourages 'violence against any person or institution on the basis of race, religion, political beliefs, or sex.'" Apparently, in a thin effort to disguise State's siding with the Palestinians, the report admits that "[i]n practice, however, some instances of incitement took place via official media. There were also some instances of inflammatory rhetoric and the posting of political cartoons glorifying violence on official Fatah Facebook pages." "[S]ome instances"? Try every day, everywhere, all the time.

The Palestinian terrorists, according to the State Department, are driven to such extreme violence because of "lack of hope in achieving Palestinian statehood, Israeli settlement construction in the West Bank ... [and] the perception that the Israeli government was changing the status quo on the Haram Al Sharif/Temple Mount." Moreover, the report also blames the IDF for its effort to curb such violence "with tactics that the Palestinians considered overly aggressive."

German refugee office falling behind in processing asylum requests
22 July
[DW] Employees at Germany's Federal Office for Migration and Refugees (BAMF) are failing to meet set targets for the number of asylum requests that must be processed per day. Workers managed to process an average of just 2.5 asylum requests per day during the first week of July, well below the 3.5 target set by the office, according to German media reports on Saturday. In total, around 13,000 requests were processed during the first week of July.

Earlier this year it was revealed that the BAMF was dealing with a backlog of almost 500,000 unprocessed requests. While the number of people who entered Germany seeking refuge in 2016 was markedly lower than the year before, many people who arrived during the 2015 migrant crisis only made their applications the following year.

[TheLocal.de] There are currently more than 13,000 girls in Germany whose families plan to have them circumcised - an increase of 4,000 over last year - women's rights group Terre des Femmes claims.

"Due to the arrival of migrants from countries such as Eritrea, Somalia and Iraq, we have recorded a huge increase in the number of affected women and threatened girls," Terre des Femmes spokeswoman Charlotte Weil told DPA on Tuesday.

Weil, who has authored a report on unrecorded female genital mutilation (FGM) in Germany, estimated that there are 58,000 women in the country who have been victims of female circumcision. The mutilation of the female sexual organs is practised in many African countries, as well as a few in Asia. It is illegal in Germany.

"We don't know of any cases where a girl was mutilated in Germany. It either takes place on a holiday back in their homeland, or during a visit to a practitioner in a city such as Paris or Amsterdam," said Weil.

Egypt opens military base says largest in region
[Ynet] Egypt's President Abdel Fattah al-Sissi has inaugurated a military base in the country's northwest to protect facilities and projects in coastal cities.

Saturday's inauguration, aired by state TV, was held with senior Arab officials present. It comes ahead of the 65th anniversary of the July 23 military coup which ended the monarchy.

The base is named after late President Mohammed Naguib, an Egyptian army officer who became the country's first president. Located in the Marsa Matrouh governorate west of Alexandria, Egypt says the base is the largest in the Middle East.

Egypt's army announced earlier that it established another base, called Barrani, close to the porous western border with Libya to prevent the infiltration of krazed killers. Authorities vie with Islamic Death Eaters and smugglers who use it to enter the country.

Cairo court sentences 28 to death for top prosecutor's assassination
Filed under P.2: WoT Background because in Egypt the sentence is only an intermediate step, with guaranteed review up to the Supreme Court followed by review by the mufti, Egypt's official interpreter of Islamic law, whose opinion is legally required but not binding. After all that, the final sentence is announced and executed... although sometimes some miscreants are subsequently pardoned during Ramadan or another time when mercy is particularly meritorious.
[AlAhram] South Cairo Criminal Court sentenced Saturday 28 to death for the 2015 liquidation of the country's top prosecutor, Hisham Barakat.

The court also sentenced 15 others to life in prison and sentenced eight individuals to 15 years in prison.

According to Egypt’s penal code, a life in prison is twenty-five years.

In June, the court initially sentenced 31 to death for Barakat’s liquidation and referred the decision to the country’s top holy man for his non-binding consultative opinion, as per the country’s penal code.

The verdict can still be appealed in front of the appeals court.

In June 2015, Barakat was killed in a Cairo kaboom that struck his convoy in the upscale eastern Cairo district of Heliopolis.

Sixty-seven people were charged in connection with the liquidation, with the general prosecution accusing defendants ‐ who it says are members of the outlawed Moslem Brüderbund group ‐ of conspiring with members of Gazoo’s Hamas, always the voice of sweet reason, to kill the top prosecutor.

A holy warrior group calling itself the "Popular Resistance" grabbed credit for the bombing. A court in February 2017 designated the group a terrorist organization.

South Sudan: Govt Blocks Access to Independent Websites
[All Africa] Internet and mobile phone users in South Sudan are not able to access the websites of at least four independent media outlets. The government has grown increasingly hostile to the media since civil war began in 2013.

The South Sudanese government has blocked access to the websites of Dutch-backed Radio Tamazuj, as well as the popular news blogs Nyamilepedia and Paanluel Wel. Internet users said that the website of the Gay Paree-based Sudan Tribune was also affected on some mobile phone and Wi-Fi networks.

Radio Tamazuj and the Sudan Tribune are reputable sites which have been critical in their coverage of South Sudan's government, which has grown increasingly hostile towards the media since civil war broke out in 2013.

The government is justified in blocking the websites to protect citizens from outlets that "disseminate subversive material," South Sudan's Minister of Authorities Michael Makuei Lueth told the US-based Committee to Protect Journalists (CPJ).

The bans would not be lifted until "those institutions behave well," he told CPJ.

"Censoring news and intimidating journalists is becoming increasingly common in South Sudan," said CPJ Deputy Executive Director Robert Mahoney. "The government should immediately unblock all news sites and blogs."

Radio Tamazuj said its shortwave broadcasts can still be heard.

China-Japan-Koreas
Sinpo South Shipyard: Preparations for a New SLBM Test?
[38North.org] Recent media reports indicate that North Korea’s sole SINPO-class experimental ballistic missile submarine (SSBA) has been engaged in "’unusual deployment activity’ over the past 48 hours,"[1] sailing approximately 100-km out into the East Sea (Sea of Japan). If correct, this would be the submarine’s longest known voyage to date. Most previous voyages have been far shorter and within the waters near its home port at the Sinpo South Shipyard. A 100-km voyage would also likely place the submarine in international waters--a first for the vessel. While there are several possible explanations, the most likely is preparations for a test in the near future of an updated Pukguksong-1 (KN-11) submarine-launched ballistic missile (SLBM) or a potentially newer system.

Commercial satellite imagery from June 30 of the Sinpo South Shipyard shows activity at the facility’s secure boat basin, where both the SINPO-class submarine and the submersible test stand barge have been repositioned.[2] While the precise reason for this movement is unclear, one possibility is that it may have been long-term preparations for the recently reported voyage or an upcoming missile test.

Activity at Secure Boat Basin
Imagery from June 30 indicates that the SINPO-class submarine was repositioned forward along the dock and the submersible test stand barge was moved from its position along the south pier enclosing the boat basin and berthed along the dock aft of the submarine. Both had been in their former positions since December 9, 2016. The June image also showed that the equipment previously positioned on the deck of the submarine, aft of the conning tower, were no longer present, suggesting that ongoing repair or modification work had been completed. A number of potential reasons can explain this movement, including long-term preparations for a test of the Pukguksong-1, at-sea deployments of one or both craft during late-May, pre-deployment training and routine maintenance or a combination of these.

Iraq
10 ISIS troops die in fighting near Syrian border
(IraqiNews.com) Ten Islamic State militants were killed as the Shia-led paramilitary troops thwarted an attack near the Iraqi-Syrian borders, the media service announced.

In a statement on Saturday, the media service of al-Hashd al-Shaabi (Popular Mobilization Units) said, “troops of the first and 13th brigades confronted on Saturday an attack by IS militants near the Iraqi-Syrian borders.”

“Ten IS members were killed, while a vehicle was burnt as the troops foiled the attack,” the statement added.

In May, Hadi al-Amiri, head of Badr Organization, which works under the umbrella of the PMUs said troops reached to Iraqi-Syrian borders.

The target behind expanding the control of borders, according to PMUs officials, is to prevent infiltration of of IS militants from Syria to Iraq.

Previously, the troops liberated the remaining villages in the vicinity of Qairawan, a main Islamic State bastion which links between Tal Afar town and the Syrian borders, and Baaj, after the troops announced full liberation of Qairawan.

PMUs, an alliance of more than 60 mostly Shia militias, are recognized by the government as a national force under the Prime Minister’s command.

Prime Minister Haidar al-Abadi has recently vowed to keep the PMUs for several years and announced increase of their budget to raise the fighters’ wages.

The group has been actively engaged in the Iraqi government’s war against IS, and has recently claimed full control over Iraq’s borders with Syria, but has been operating only on ground with air support from the Iraqi army warplanes.

Hezbollah makes gains in Syria-Lebanon border assault
[Al Jazeera] Syrian troops and members of Leb's Hezbollah have advanced against Syrian rebels on the second day of an assault to drive them from their last foothold along the Syria-Leb border, pro-Damascus media reported.

The government-controlled Syrian Central Military Media (SCMM) said Shia Hezbollah fighters and Syrian troops captured several strategic hills on Saturday in areas between the Lebanese town of Arsal and the Syrian village of Fleeta.

The offensive began on Friday and targets Sunni Moslem fighters from the former Nusra Front, a group that was aligned to al Qaeda.

It is now known as Hayat Tahrir al-Sham and controls the barren zone of Juroud Arsal in the Qalamoun Mountains.

Truman would have agreed with Trump on the CIA in Syria
[American Thinker] Said the president: "For some time I have been disturbed by the way CIA has been diverted from its original assignment. It has become an operational and, at times, a policy-making arm of the Government. ... [T]his quiet intelligence arm of the President has been so removed from its intended role that it is being interpreted as a symbol of sinister and mysterious foreign intrigue."

This dire warning about the propensity of the Central Intelligence Agency to go rogue came from Harry S. Truman.

Truman's call to "limit the CIA role to intelligence" was published in December 22, 1963, by the Washington Post (WaPo). The same newspaper is now decrying President Trump's decision to "end the CIA's covert program to arm and train moderate Syrian rebels battling the government of Bashar al-Assad, a move long sought by Russia, according to U.S. officials."

The move is a good one. The WaPo threw Russia into the reportorial mix purely to sully President Trump (and due to the intellectual deficiencies of correspondents incapable of teasing apart policy from political intrigue).

The 33rd U.S. president, a Democrat before the great deformation of that party, was first to issue the warning against the agency he had established. Not only was the newly founded intelligence arm of President Truman mutating into "a policy-making arm of government," but it was "a subverting influence in the affairs of other people," he cautioned.

In 1963, Truman was meditating on restoring the monster he had created "to its original assignment" of intelligence-gathering in the raw. The CIA's sole purpose was to keep the president apprised of information, unfiltered and un-politicized.

In 2017, Trump is dealing with a genie too powerful to beat back into the bottle.

So is this a screeching U-turn in Trump's foreign policy? Who knows, but in Syria, at least, President Trump is inching closer to delivering on a campaign promise. The president finally appears to be seeking a solution sans regime change, with strongman Bashar Assad still at the helm.

Curtailing this "symbol of sinister and mysterious foreign intrigue" ‐ stopping the CIA and the National Security Council (another of President Truman's metastatic creations) from fomenting more war in Syria and confrontation with Russia ‐ is a start. In ending the "covert CIA program to arm anti-Assad rebels in Syria," Trump, hopefully, has disassociated from the "rebels." The little we know about these people is not good.

Home Front: Politix
The President Has Himself, Not Sessions, to Blame for the Limitless Mueller Investigation
[National Review] President Donald Trump’s rant against Attorney General Jeff Sessions, in an interview with the New York Times, is a foolish bit of revisionist history. Sessions erred in the rashness and overbreadth of his recusal from the Russia investigation, but the president has himself to blame for the appointment of a special counsel.

Trump is the one who hired Deputy Attorney General Rod Rosenstein. It is Rosenstein whose order appointing Robert Mueller fails to set limits on Mueller’s investigative jurisdiction, thereby authorizing the fishing expedition that has Trump so ballistic. Moreover, it was Trump’s own botching of the firing of FBI director James Comey that spooked Rosenstein, inducing him to appease furious Democrats by giving Mueller free rein. Trump has a point, though not as much of one as he seems to think, in saying that Sessions should not have recused himself.

I’ve argued that the recusal was unnecessary, or at least premature. The disqualification regulation on which Sessions relied calls for an attorney general to step aside if "a criminal investigation or prosecution" causes him a conflict of interest.

At the time of his recusal, the Russia probe was a counterintelligence investigation. (For all we know, it still is.) For the umpty-umpth time, a counterintelligence investigation is not a criminal investigation, and no criminal prosecutions have resulted from it. Thus, there was nothing for Sessions to recuse himself from.

The scope creep is an attempt to find SOMETHING criminal SOMEWHERE.

The only regret Trump probably has is what his children are going through after he asked them to assist in the White House. The left are a nasty bunch of jerks.

Azhar opens fatwa kiosks in Cairo metro station to counter extremism
[AlAhram] The Fatwa Committee of al-Azhar’s Islamic Research Academy has opened a number of kiosks in one of Cairo’s main underground metro stations to allow commuters to seek guidance on Islamic issues.

The kiosks, which opened on Wednesday on a trial basis, are located within Shohada metro station and are open from 9am to 8pm daily.

Commuters are invited to bring their questions on religious issues to the Azhar holy mans manning the booth, who will then provide them with the necessary answers.

The initiative aims to "counter the turban ideologies and misguided fatwas provided by turban groups," said Mohi El-Din Afifi, the secretary-general of the academy, in press statements.

The project is the result of a protocol signed by the Egypt Metro Company and the Islamic Research Academy.

In a related initiative, al-Azhar began broadcasting content on the metro’s radio station in May, which was also the beginning of the month of Ramadan.

Europe
Orban: ‘Europe Must Regain Sovereignty From The Soros Empire’
[BREITBART] Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orban has made an impassioned defence of European values and identity at the Bálványos Summer University camp in Romania Saturday, calling on European nations to end their association with billionaire open-borders financier George Soros
...the secretive Hungarian born Ernst Stavro Blofeld-like billionaire who seems to fund every horrible progressive organization you can think of...
Speaking at the 28th Bálványos Open University camp Saturday, which was this week was hailed as "one of the most important discussion forums of the Hungarian community" by Hungary’s deputy Prime Minister, Orban contributed to an apparently new tradition of the Hungarian PM using the event as a launch pad for pro-European rhetoric and policy.

Hitting out at the Hungarian-born billionaire George Soros, who stands accused by the Hungarian government of using his vast wealth to fund pro-mass migration organizations to create a "new, mixed, Moslemized Europe", Orban said Brussels was in an "alliance against the people’s will" with the financier.

Laying out his vision for a future Europe without the influence of Soros, Orban said: ""In order for Europe to be able to live, it has to win back its illusory sovereignty from the Soros Empire... Once this is done, migrants colonists must be taken back outside the EU. It sounds strict, but those who came illegally, must be transported back," Prime Minister Orbán said. "We have to admit that the European continent cannot remain unprotected."

Discussing immigration to Hungary in a speech that came just days after his government announced the total requests submitted for Hungarian citizenships had hit one million, Orban said he would continue to oppose migrants colonists "who could change the country’s cultural identity".

Kuwait accuses Hezbollah of training Shias suspected of forming 'terror cell'
[DAWN] Kuwait has protested to Leb over the alleged training by Hezbollah of 21 Shias that were convicted on charges of forming a "terror cell" in the Sunni-majority emirate last month.

It demanded that pressure be put on the Shia bully boy group, which has ministers in the Lebanese government, to ensure there was no repetition.

The protest follows Kuwait's expulsion of 15 Iranian diplomats on Thursday over Tehran's alleged links to those convicted.

The letter delivered by Kuwait's ambassador in Beirut late on Friday said the emirate's supreme court had found that "Hezbollah took part in contacts, coordinating meetings, paid funds and provided arms and military training in Leb" for the defendants.

It called on Leb to take "necessary measures to curb these disgraceful practices" by Hezbollah as it is a partner in the government, ambassador Abdulaal al-Quenai told the official KUNA news agency.

Baghdad Bomb and Bullet Bulletin
IED attack wounds 3 kops

Baghdad (IraqiNews.com) Three civilians were wounded in an IED blast northern Baghdad, a police source has said.

“A bomb, placed on the side of the highway at al-Taji region, north of Baghdad, exploded on Friday leaving three civilians injured,” the source told AlSumaria News.

“Security troops arrived at the accident spot and transferred the injured to a nearby hospital for treatment,” the source, who asked to be unnamed, added.

Violence in the country has surged further with the emergence of Islamic State Sunni extremist militants who proclaimed an “Islamic Caliphate” in Iraq and Syria in 2014.

More than 700 Iraqis were killed and wounded during the month of June as result of violence and armed conflicts, according to a monthly count by the United Nations Assistance Mission in Iraq (UNAMI) which excludes security members deaths. Baghdad ranked the second place with 22 deaths and 88 injuries.

Bombings and armed attacks are seen on on almost a daily basis against security members, paramilitary groups and civilians since the Iraqi government launched a wide-scale campaign to retake IS-occupied areas in 2016.

According to observers, IS is believed to constitute a security threat even after the group’s defeat at its main havens across Iraqi provinces.

Diyala Devastation Digest

Kop's wife wounded in bombing attack near Baqubah

Baqubah(IraqiNews.com) A policeman’s wife was injured in a bomb blast that exploded in western Baqubah, a local source from Diyala said.

Speaking to AlSumaria News on Saturday, the source said “an IED placed outside a house of a policeman in al-Jahiza region, west of Baqubah, exploded in the afternoon, leaving the policeman’s wife wounded and the house damaged.”

IS holds pivotal regions that link between each of Diyala, Salahuddin and Kirkuk, posing threats to the liberated regions.

Some areas in Diyala have seen a surge over the past months in bombings and armed attacks against security members, paramilitary groups and civilians, which urge Iraqi forces to prevent the militants infiltration between Salahuddin and Kirkuk provinces, especially the regions stretching along Hamreen mountains and Al-Azeem town.

Violence in the country has surged further with the emergence of Islamic State Sunni extremist militants who proclaimed an “Islamic Caliphate” in Iraq and Syria in 2014.

Why the Navy's newest aircraft carrier has no urinals
[Navy Times] The new aircraft carrier Gerald R. Ford has all sorts of high-tech gear equipped for 21st century naval warfare. But there is one thing that male sailors will notice is no longer available: Urinals.

For the first time, every bathroom on the Ford -- known throughout military circles as a head -- is designed to be "gender-neutral," meaning all of the urinals have been replaced with flush toilets and stalls, Navy officials say.

The vast majority of the 5,000-plus sailors who will deploy aboard the carrier Ford are men, as women account for only about 18 percent of sailors in the Navy.

Bathroom design experts say water closets with seated toilets are less sanitary and take up far more space than wall-mounted urinals.

Nevertheless, the Navy says there are advantages to eliminating urinals.

It will allow the Navy to quickly and efficiently change a head’s assigned gender, so depending on the ship’s demographics at the time, berthing areas can be switched between male and female to accommodate the crew’s needs.

"This is designed to give the ship flexibility because there aren’t any berthing areas that are dedicated to one sex or the other," Operations Specialist 1st Class Kaylea Motsenbocker told Navy Times recently.

City negotiating contract to provide air conditioning units to St. Louis jail
ST. LOUIS, Mo. (KMOV.com) - After hearing the cries of inmates at the St. Louis Medium Security Institution, also known as the Workhouse, the City of St. Louis is negotiating a one-month contract to provide air conditioning to the facility.

During the days of extreme heat in St. Louis, officials said they developed a heat safety plan for the inmates by having cooling stations and round-the-clock medical help in case there are any heat-related illnesses.

Thursday, Aldermanic President Lewis Reed said he had started seeking emergency cooling options for the Workhouse. But the expense would come from city emergency funds.

On Friday, Reed said the city of St. Louis is working on a deal to provide air conditioning units for the facility that will cost $5,500 a month. The city is negotiating a one-month contract with Temp-Air to provide air conditioning to the facility and could budget to $40,000 for the units.

Meanwhile, local activists and organizers have launched a national fundraising effort to bail out as many people as possible from the jail. Local organizations St. Louis Action Council, Arch City Defenders and the National Bail Out Fund are leading the effort.

Speaking in an interview with Radio Shabelle, Galgaduud governor Mohammed Ali Elmi said the battle began after militia fighters belonging to Ahlu Sunna attacked the village.

Elmi has refuted the reports of inter-clan fighting in Herale by local media, saying the conflict was between Ahlu Sunna and residents, and called for and end to the festivities.

"We call on both warring sides to stop the bloodshed, and solve the differences through peaceful dialogue, to avert a recurrent fight in Herale," said Galgaduud governor.

The moderate Islamist group Ahlu Sunna is yet to comment of the accusation.

Local elders are trying to a mediate the two sides, and bring an end to the fighting, which claimed the lives of more than 10 people, including unarmed civilians.

Zimbabwe: 'Kick Them, Punish Them' - Mugabe's Call for Violence 'Worrying'
[All Africa] Zim-bob-wean President Bob Muggsy Mugabe
Octogenarian President-for-Life of Zim-bob-we who turned the former Breadbasket of Africa into the African Basket Case...
, 93, says his Zanu-PF supporters should beat-up people going around perpetrating violence using the ruling party's name.

Mugabe told his Zanu-PF supporters at a youth rally in Lupane on Friday that it had been brought to his attention that they were people causing violence around the country and claiming to belong to his ruling party.

"I am aware they are people causing violence saying they are from Zanu-PF," said Mugabe.

"If you see people being violent, seize them, come on. Hold them, kick them, punish them. Then call the police later," he said.

Mugabe, who analysts said was already in the last phase of his campaign for 2018, urged his supporters to meet violence with violence.

The nonagenarian's utterances were seen by many as a clarion call to his storm-troopers to unleash violence against the opposition.

's police have rubbed out three men wanted for "terrorist" attacks in the country's Shiite-majority east, the interior ministry of the Sunni-ruled kingdom said Friday.

The men -- two Saudis and a Bahraini -- were killed in an exchange of gunfire with police in the city of Saihat in the district of Qatif on July 14, the ministry said.

Police seized three machine guns, a pistol, ammunition and more than 10 kilos (22 pounds) of explosives, official news agency SPA reported a ministry front man as saying.

He said the men were wanted for their involvement in deadly attacks against the police, as well as an attack on a vehicle used to transport cash, abductions and weapons trafficking.

Al-Jazirah newspaper on July 15 reported the death of one of the Saudis, Jaafar al-Mobireek, killed in Qatif, which has seen a string of attacks on security forces in recent weeks.

Most of Saudi Arabia's Shiites live in the oil-rich east, where they have long complained of marginalization.

The area has been rocked by unrest since 2011, when Shiite protests erupted to demand equality in the Gulf kingdom.

Authorities have blamed the violence on "terrorists" and narcos.

Widodo: Police should shoot suspected drug dealers
[Al Jazeera] Joko "Jokowi" Widodo, Indonesia's president, has instructed police to shoot suspected drug pushers to combat what he considers a narcotics emergency facing the country.

His remarks have drawn comparison to that of Philippine President Rodrigo Duterte, who launched a controversial anti-drug crackdown about a year ago that saw many alleged drug pushers killed in an operation widely condemned by the international community.

"Be firm, especially to foreign drug pushers who enter the country and resist arrest. Shoot them because we indeed are in a narcotics emergency position now," Widodo said in a speech at an event held by one of Indonesia's political parties on Friday.

Indonesia has tough laws against drugs. Widodo has previously been criticised for ordering executions against convicted narcos who were given a death penalty by the court.

A delegation from the High Council of National Reconciliation announced that it had delayed a visit to Derna after Haftar told them to do so to leave a space for holding a meeting between Dignity Operation and Derna Shura Council to review the conditions for a truce.

Treasury Deep-Staters Go After ExxonMobil on Trumped-up Charges
ExxonMobil ‐ a favorite whipping boy of the left ‐ found itself back in the deep state’s crosshairs this week.

The Treasury Department’s Office of Financial Asset Control, a haven for burrowed bureaucrats, announced it has fined the energy giant $2 million for purportedly violating sanctions by dealing with a Russian businessman who had been placed economically off limits to Americans because of his involvement with Russia’s effective takeover of Ukraine.

In March 2014, President Obama issued an executive order that gave the Secretary of the Treasury the power to designate Russian officials viewed as contributing to the Ukraine problem and block them from acquiring property or interests or dealing in property or interests with anyone so designated.
P
On April 28, Igor Sechin was so designated, but Rosneft OAO, the Russian energy conglomerate of which he is president, was not.

So, on May 8, according to the Treasury Department, ExxonMobil signed eight legal documents related to oil and gas deals in Russia with Sechin in his capacity as president of Rosneft OAO.

ExxonMobil said in a challenge to the fines filed in U.S. District Court in Dallas that signing the deals does not constitute a violation of the sanctions because the sanctions applied to Sechin individually and not in his capacity as president of Rosneft OAO.
...
It’s clear what is going on here. The Deep State within the Treasury Department is striking back at a company associated with President Trump, fining it for actions taken while Secretary of State Rex Tillerson was at the helm.

Among them are four German women of Moroccan, Algerian, Chechen and German descent. The Moroccan woman has a child. The arrests were made about 10 days ago.

The officials said that the women had allegedly been working with the bully boy Islamic State

According to official sources, the French and German embassies have visited the women. They expect that the children will be handed over to the countries they belong to and the women will be tried on terrorism charges.

A 16-year-old German girl who had run away from home shortly after converting to Islam was also found in Iraq.

Prosecutor Lorenz Haase from the eastern German city of Dresden said the teenager, only identified as Linda W in line with German privacy laws, is getting consular assistance from the German Embassy in Iraq.

Haase did not confirm media reports on Saturday that the teenager from Pulsnitz in eastern Germany had been fighting for IS in Mosul.

He told AP, "Our information ends with the girl's arrival in Istanbul about a year ago."

Several female foreign IS fighters have also been detained by Iraq's military in Mosul recently, but Haase couldn't confirm that the German girl was part of that group.

"President Trump is prepared to impose new and serious consequences on Iran unless all unjustly imprisoned American citizens are released and returned," the White House said in a statement.

The tough warning comes just days after Trump rowed back on a campaign promise and upheld the Iran nuclear deal, while introducing new non-nuclear related sanctions.

The threat of prisoner-related sanctions opens up a new front in tensions between Tehran and the Trump administration.

The measure comes after a Chinese American accused of "infiltration" in Iran was sentenced to 10 years in prison.

The man was identified as Xiyue Wang, a 37-year-old researcher at Princeton University.

US officials say Trump has taken a keen interest in the fate of Americans held overseas and was deeply affected by the case of Otto Warmbier, a student who was released last month from a North Korean prison in a coma and died shortly after being sent back home.

"President Donald J. Trump and his Administration are redoubling efforts to bring home all Americans unjustly detained abroad," the White House statement said.

"The United States condemns hostage takers and nations that continue to take hostages and detain our citizens without just cause or due process."

The statement mentioned Xiyue Wang by name, along with Siamak and Baquer Namazi and ex-FBI agent and CIA contractor Robert Levinson -- who went missing in March 2007.

Dreams of My Sainted Father...
The two countries along with other major powers signed an accord July 14, 2015 aimed at curbing Iran's nuclear program. Washington has continued to honor the accord despite Trump's threats as a candidate last year to "rip it up."

Boss of firm behind anti-Trump dossier to plead the Fifth at congressional hearing
[WASHINGTONTIMES] The co-founder of the Washington-based firm that commissioned the explosive and largely unsubstantiated anti-Trump campaign research dossier will reject a Senate subpoena to testify before Congress next week and invoke his Fifth Amendment rights, according to the heads of the Senate Judiciary Committee.

Glenn Simpson, the former Wall Street Journal news hound who helped start political intelligence firm Fusion GPS, has been a key figure in the Russian election meddling saga ever since the dossier, which alleged a years-long Kremlin conspiracy to elect Donald Trump
...New York real estate developer, described by Dems as illiterate, racist, misogynistic, and what ever other unpleasant descriptions they can think of, elected by the rest of us as 45th President of the United States...
and included colorful sex stories, was leaked to the press after the Republican’s November victory over Democrat Hillary Clinton
... former first lady, former secretary of state, former presidential candidate, sometimes described by her supporters as the smartest woman in the world, usually described by the rest of us as a crook...
Since March, the Senate Judiciary Committee has pressed for Mr. Simpson’s testimony and documents relevant to the case. His attorneys, Joshua A. Levy and Robert F. Muse, have rebutted with numerous defenses, including citing confidentiality agreements between Fusion GPS its clients. This week, a Judiciary hearing which would have featured Mr. Simpson -- had he voluntarily attended -- was canceled.

Late on Friday committee leadership executed hardball tactics to force him to tell what he knows as chairman Sen. Chuck Grassley, an Iowa Republican, and ranking member Sen. Dianne Feinstein

, a Caliphornia, an impregnable bastion of the Democratic Party, Democrat, announced they’d subpoenaed him.

#1  Glenn Simpson invokes the 5th protects against self-incrimination. Typically, people think someone who invokes the 5th is guilty of something. The 5th Amendment also guarantees the right to a grand jury. Perhaps, Simpson would prefer going before a grand jury.

After being assaulted, High Council of National Reconciliation delegation departs east Libya
[Libya Observer] A source from the High Council of National Reconciliation (HCNR) said they are preparing to leave the eastern region toward Tripoli
...a confusing city, one end of which is located in Lebanon and the other end of which is the capital of Libya. Its chief distinction is being mentioned in the Marine Hymn...
after being attacked last Tuesday in al-Bayda by a group from Blood Owners gang that is affiliated to Khalifa Haftar
... served in the Libyan army under Muammar Qadaffy, and took part in the coup that brought Qadaffy to power in 1969. He became a prisoner of war in Chad in 1987. While held prisoner, he and his fellow officers formed a group hoping to overthrow Qadaffy. He was released around 1990 in a deal with the United States government and spent nearly two decades in the United States, gaining US citizenship. In 1993, while living in the United States, he was convicted in absentia of crimes against the Jamahiriya and sentenced to death. Haftar held a senior position in the anti-Qadaffy forces in the 2011 Libyan Civil War. In 2014 he was commander of the Libyan Army when the General National Congress (GNC) refused to give up power in accordance with its term of office. Haftar launched a campaign against the GNC and its Islamic fundamentalist allies. His campaign allowed elections to take place to replace the GNC, but then developed into a civil war. Guess you can't win them all...
The source added that the threat that were sent to the delegation were very serious, adding that no official authority contacted the delegates, thus obliging them to return to Tripoli.

Days ago, the HCNR announced that there were some efforts exerted to enable a national reconciliation project, saying it was going to visit Derna for the second time in next August in order to push for the project.

Meanwhile,
...back at the Council of Boskone, Kinnison began his slow infiltration of the sewer system...
Derna Shura Council denounced the attack on the HCNR delegation in its al-Bayda headquarters while they were in a meeting with Interim Government and House of Representatives' officials.

"We blame the criminal militias, who are trying to destroy the country, for the assault and we call for justice regarding that attack." The Derna Shura Council said, thanking the neighboring districts of Derna for their efforts for reconciliation.

A group from Awliya al-Dam (Blood Owners) gang stormed into the delegation of the HCNR in a hotel in al-Bayda and gave the delegates a beating, threatening them of murder if they continued to advocate national reconciliation.

Palestinians clash with soldiers near Halamish stabber’s village
[IsraelTimes] Earlier, IDF mapped family home of 19-year-old terrorist Omar al-Abed in preparation for its likely demolition.

Dozens of Paleostinian rioters on Saturday hurled stones at IDF soldiers near the central West Bank village of Kaubar, home to the terrorist who stabbed three Israelis to death a day earlier in the settlement of Halamish, close to the city of Ramallah.

The soldiers responded to the violent protests with riot dispersal means. There were no immediate reports of injuries

Earlier Saturday, the IDF raided the home of the Paleostinian terrorist who murdered the three Halamish family members, and tossed in the clink
Maw! They're comin' to get me, Maw!
his brother. Troops were searching the village of Kaubar for weaponry and suspects.

They also mapped the family home of 19-year-old Omar al-Abed, in preparation for its likely demolition. An army official told Ynet the terrorist’s parents were known to be affiliated with the Hamas, a contraction of the Arabic words for "frothing at the mouth", terror group. Hamas hailed the attack late Friday as "heroic."

Security forces have enacted a closure on Abed’s village, and only humanitarian cases were being allowed through as the operations inside continued.

Abed’s brother Monir, 21, was arrested. Officials said they suspected Monir aided his brother in carrying out the attack. Security forces said they were looking for any additional suspects in the Halamish attack.

Also Saturday, the army said shots were fired overnight at a synagogue in the settlement of Avnei Hefetz in Samaria, west of Tulkarm. Residents reported hearing gunfire overnight. A search conducted in the morning revealed a bullet hole in a wall of the synagogue. The military was investigating.

The army also said it would further boost forces in the West Bank, in addition to the reinforcements already provided due to tensions surrounding new Temple Mount security checks.

Halamish terrorist was arrested 3 months ago by PA for allegedly planning attacks

[IsraelTimes] The Paleostinian terrorist who stabbed to death three members of an Israeli family while they were eating Shabbat dinner at home Friday night, was tossed in the calaboose
... anything you say can and will be used against you, whether you say it or not...
three months ago by security forces of Paleostinian Authority President the ineffectual Mahmoud Abbas
... a graduate of the prestigious unaccredited Patrice Lumumba University in Moscow with a doctorate in Holocaust Denial...
, his uncle said Saturday.

Ibrahim al-Abed said his nephew Omar al-Abed spent two weeks in PA detention and was violently interrogated about alleged plans to attack Israelis before he was released.

The terrorist’s father said that his son was upset over the loss of Paleostinian lives following violent festivities over escalating tensions at the Temple Mount and wanted to protect the "honor" of the Jerusalem holy site.

"The honor of Moslems is only the Haram," Mohammed al-Abed said. "If it’s gone, the Moslems’ honor is gone. This was the motive for my son."

Al-Abed said in a pre-attack Facebook post that he expected to be killed in the attack. He wrote that he wanted his body to be covered by a banner of the Hamas, the well-beloved offspring of the Moslem Brotherhood, terror group and a photo of Abbas’s predecessor, Yasser Arafat.

Israel has repeatedly accused Abbas and his Paleostinian Authority of permitting anti-Israeli incitement in the public Paleostinian discourse.

Palestinian teen with a razor blade arrested in Hebron

a Paleostinian teenager in the West Bank city of Hebron on Saturday night after finding a razor blade hidden on his person, police said.

The 17-year-old was walking through a checkpoint near the Tomb of the Patriarchs holy site when he "aroused the suspicions" of the officers stationed there. They pulled him aside and searched him more thoroughly, finding a razor blade tucked in his clothes, "with which he planned -- according to assessments -- to carry out a terror attack," police said in a statement.

"The suspect was arrested for further investigation by security forces," the statement said.

Iran unveils new missile production line
[Al Jazeera] Iran has announced the launch of a new missile production line, according to its state media, against a backdrop of tension between the United States and Tehran.

The Sayyad 3 missile can reach an altitude of 27km and travel up to 120km, Iran's Defence Minister Hossein Dehghan said at an undisclosed location of an inauguration ceremony on Saturday.

The missile can target radar evasive fighter planes, unmanned aerial vehicles, cruise missiles and helicopters, he said.

Dehghan also said that the recent $110bn military deal between the US and Saudi Arabia was intended as a threat to Iran.

"We recently witnessed an immense purchase that some countries in the region paid as a ransom to America and they intend to bring weapons into the region, and this purchase was done with the goal of threatening Islamic Iran," Dehghan said according to the website for state TV.

Mountaintop of strategic value cleared, terrorists eliminated in Operation Khyber-4: ISPR
[DAWN] The Pakistain Army has cleared the "highest and craggiest" mountaintop near the Pak-Afghan border, killing "many" murderous Moslems and forcing others to flee to Afghanistan, a statement issued by the army's media wing said Saturday.

The Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) said a terrorist hideout was dismantled during the operation at Brekh Muhammad Kandao mountaintop, a part of ongoing Operation Khyber-4 in Khyber Agency
... the place to go if you've got an Indiana Jones hat and whip. Chock full of high adventure and treacherous Pathans. You should really train up to it, though...
A cache of Improvised Explosive Devices (IEDs), arms and ammunition was also recovered, ISPR said, adding that troops had established posts at over 12,000 feet after clearing the mountain top.

Army troops including Special Services Group (SSG) commandos took part in the action during which "many terrorists" were killed while some managed to flee to Afghanistan.

"This mountaintop was being used as main observation point and its base as a transit/storage point," ISPR said.

The mountaintop was planned to be cleared a little later as per the initial plan "but with high tempo operation [sic] it has been cleared well ahead of planned timing", the ISPR said.

More Mosul Moslem Mayhem

3 ISIS Big Turbans die in firefight with Iraqi militia

Mosul (IraqiNews.com) Three senior Islamic State leaders were killed in Tal Afar town, west of Mosul, the Shia-led paramilitary troops said on Friday.

A statement by Saraya al-Jihad militia, affiliated to al-Hashd al-Shaabi (Popular Mobilization Units) said troops “identified the bodies of IS members, who were killed on Thursday while infiltrating behind the troops in Tal al-Zalat region, west of Mosul.”

The militants included “Abu Iman, in charge of Islamic police, Abu Abd Zu’aizei’a, in charge of recruitment, and Naser abdullah Khedr al-Badrany,” the statement said. “They were in charge of planning to attack the PMUs from the back.”

Despite declaring victory over IS, the group have reportedly carried out attacks against security forces over the past few days.

Earlier this month, Iraqi Prime Minister Haider al-Abadi congratulated Iraqi forces and citizens on the victory over IS militants who had held the second largest Iraqi city since 2014. More than 25000 militants were killed throughout the campaign.

The town of Tal Afar and few surrounding areas are still held by the group in Nineveh province.

PMUs, an alliance of more than 60 mostly Shia militias, are recognized by the government as a national force under the Prime Minister’s command.

Iraqi warbirds hit ISIS munitions cache in Tal Afar

Tal Afar (IraqiNews.com) A series of powerful blasts have rocked the western suburbs of Tal Afar town, west of Mosul, as airstrikes targeted huge amount of explosives, a local source from Nineveh province was quoted saying.

“Huge blasts hit the western suburbs of Tal Afar, located west of Mosul, after airstrikes targeted a building, which included a huge amount the C4 explosives, used by Islamic State militants in manufacturing bombs and booby-trapping,” the source, who preferred anonymity, told AlSumaria News on Saturday.

“The losses inflicted on IS are unidentified due to the huge blasts that made the nearby houses collapse,” the source said adding that the group “depend on secret workshops at the residential areas to manufacture the C4 substance.”

Lt.Gen. Abdul Amir Yarallah, of the Nineveh Operations Command, had said that the fourth phase of liberation will be launched soon to free Tal Afar and other regions to complete the liberation of the whole province.

In late June, a top leader in the town declared during a a sermon of Friday prayer that the town has become a temporary headquarter for the Caliphate.

A source was quoted earlier this month as saying that non-Iraqi IS militants executed the last local leader in Tal Afar and the town is currently run by Arab and foreign members after eliminating all the Iraqi leaders.

Tal Afar is one of the important strongholds still held by IS in Nineveh since August 2014.

17 ISIS wimmin die in missile strike in Mosul

Tal Afar (IraqiNews.com) Seventeen Islamic State female members were killed and injured as a missile was shot on a building, west of Mosul, a source from Nineveh province said on Saturday.

“An unknown missile targeted a two-storey building, which was the headquarters of the IS al-Khansaa brigade, in Tal Afar town, west of Mosul,” the source was quoted by AlSumaria News as saying. “The brigade included wives and sisters of IS members and leaders as well as foreigners.”

“According to our information, between seven to ten women were killed, while seven others were injured. Most of them were leaders in brigades,” the source said adding the members are working on recovering the bodies from under the rubble.

“Wife of the emir of the so-called soldiers department, known as abu Youssef, were among the killed ones,” the source, who asked to remain unnamed said adding that her identity is still unknown.

Earlier on the day, news reports mentioned that powerful blasts have rocked the western suburbs of Tal Afar west as airstrikes targeted a building with huge amount of explosives inside.

Lt.Gen. Abdul Amir Yarallah, of the Nineveh Operations Command, had said that the fourth phase of liberation will be launched soon to free Tal Afar and other regions to complete the liberation of the whole province.

European court: Islamist hate speech not protected under law
[Jpost] The European Court of Human Rights has declared that the hate speech of one Belgian Moslem man is not protected under free speech laws.

Europe's top human rights
When they're defined by the state or an NGO they don't mean much...
court ruled on Thursday (July 20) that online videos considered by a Belgian court to be Islamist hate speech were not protected under free speech provisions.

Fouad Belkacem is a Belgian national currently imprisoned for his activities as the head of Sharia4Belgium
...the Antwerp-based Salafist organization that had campaigned to introduce Sharia law to Belgium before single-handedly making Belgium the highest per capita supplier of jihadis to Syria in Europe. There was a big trial in Antwerp in 2015, but most of those convicted were in absentia. Its spokesman, Fouad Belkacem, was sentenced to 12 years in prison...
, an organization banned for recruiting imported muscle to participate in bad boy activities in the Middle East.

The European Court of Human Rights evaluated Belkacem's argument that his remarks in a series of videos on online platform YouTube fell within his freedoms of expression and religion and were not meant to incite violence.

In the videos, Belkacem had called on viewers to "overpower non-Moslems, teach them a lesson and fight them", content the Court called "markedly hateful" and "vehement". He had also called for the violent establishment of Sharia law.

The ECHR upheld the 2013 decision of Belgium's top court, which found that, far from simply expressing his views, Belkacem had incited others to discriminate on the basis of faith and to violence against non-Moslems.

Palestinian killed in West Bank clashes over Temple Mount
[Ynet] Israeli Arabs and Paleostinians clash with Israeli security forces in east Jerusalem neighborhoods and elsewhere in West Bank; masked men block roads, burn tires, launch fireworks and throw Molotov cocktails and rocks; At-Tur resident: 'We're ready to fight to the death.'
Given the report yesterday that West Bank president Mahmoud Abbas had allocated $25 million to support this kind of activity, it's no surprise there is such enthusiasm today.
A Paleostinian man was killed during festivities in the West Bank on Saturday night, the fourth to die this weekend in violent protests against Israel's decision to set up metal detectors at the entrances to the Temple Mount, following a deadly terror attack at the site.
According to The Times of Israel, he died when the Molotov cocktail he was holding went off in his hand prematurely.
A 24-year-old Paleostinian was killed in uncertain circumstances in the village of al-Eizariya east of Jerusalem.
According to the same article, he had been wounded and subsequently died of his injuries.
Following a relatively quiet day, violence resumed late Saturday near the epicenter of the current crisis in the Old City of Jerusalem. After hundreds of Moslem worshippers defiantly held their evening prayers outside the Jerusalem holy site, resuming their protest against security measures Israel imposed after a deadly attack there, festivities unfolded with police firing tear gas and water cannons to disperse protesters.

Violent festivities raged in Jerusalem's Old City by the Lions' Gate on Saturday evening--with protesters throwing stones, bottles and other objects at security forces--as rioting continued elsewhere in the capital and in various hotspots in the West Bank. On route 444 near Tayibe rioters burned tires. Protesters set a tire on fire in Kafr Kanna as well and then pelted police forces that arrived at the scene with stones. There were also festivities Saturday afternoon and evening in Qalandiya, At-Tur, Shuafat, Isawiya and in the village of Kabor, the home of the terrorist who killed an Israeli grandfather and his two adult children in the nearby settlement of Halamish on Friday.

Rioters also threw stones and glass bottles at Israeli forces near the Mount of Olives. An IDF officer was lightly hurt when a stone hurt his upper body during festivities in Kafr Qaddum in the Samaria region of the West Bank.

The police also reported that four other suspects from the Old City were jugged
Keep yer hands where we can see 'em, if yez please!
overnight, including a young man, for participating in Friday's disturbances.

Following the deaths of the three Paleostinians on Friday, a general strike was declared in east Jerusalem neighborhoods, and a partial strike was declared in the Old City.

Demonstrations were also taking place in Arab communities throughout Israel, among them the Arab city of Tayibe, with another demonstration planned there for Saturday evening. Additional demonstrations are planned in the Arab cities of Nazareth, Umm al-Fahm and Qalansawe.

The Paleostinian Red Islamic Thingy said 41 Paleostinians in total were taken to hospitals or clinics with injures from live ammunition, rubber bullets and beatings Friday. About 150 Paleostinians were treated for tear gas inhalation. The IDF and the Border Police also arrested 17 people in the West Bank, as dozens of Paleostinians were maimed in several incidents on the Gazoo Strip border, with participants burning tires and throwing rocks at the fence and IDF forces.
In conclusion, fewer than 200 were injured, not the 400 the Arabs initially claimed.
