NYT's Comey Memo Story Doesn't Pass The Smell Test
[Daily Caller] The New York Times reported on Tuesday that President Trump allegedly asked former FBI Director James Comey to shut down the investigation into former National Security Advisor Michael Flynn. The source of the allegation is a memorandum, revealed by an anonymous source, allegedly prepared by Comey regarding a meeting in the Oval Office the day after Flynn was forced to resign for misleading the Vice-President.

While the headline is sensational, The New York Times’s report is self-contradictory at times, conflicts with statements made on-the-record and under oath, overhypes the substance of the memorandum, and is irreconcilable with other information in the public record.

First, the report concedes that the Times has not "viewed a copy of the memo," despite the fact that the Times says memo itself "is unclassified." If the memo is unclassified, then that raises several questions. Why did the Times not press the source for a copy of the memo? Why did the Times not seek a copy through the Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) before publishing? If it was truly unclassified, then the Times stood a decent chance of having the memo released.

Second, if Times’s story is true and what President Trump did amounted to obstruction of justice, then Acting FBI Director Andrew McCabe likely committed perjury. Before Comey was fired, McCabe was the Deputy Director of the FBI, one of four "senior staff" positions and also the Bureau’s second-in-command. The Times report alleges that Comey "shared the existence of the memo with senior F.B.I. officials and close associates," which means that McCabe knew about the memo on May 11 when he testified before the Senate Intelligence Committee about the Russia investigation. During his testimony, Senator Marco Rubio and McCabe (who was under oath) had the following exchange:

John Kasich: Hate to say ‘I told you so' about Trump
[Wash Times] Ohio Gov. John Kasich said during a joint CNN town hall Tuesday with Vermont Sen. Bernard Sanders that his instincts were right about President Trump.

Mr. Kasich, who unsuccessfully ran against Mr. Trump in last year’s Republican presidential primary, said the allegations that Mr. Trump shared Israeli intelligence about the Middle East with the Russians is "a very, very serious matter."

"I don’t like people that say, ’I told you so,’ but you both know how much pressure, criticism and heat I took because I was the one Republican who would not endorse Donald Trump," he told CNN’s Dana Bash and Jake Tapper.

Rupert Murdoch Calls Special Meeting as Fox News Ratings Falter
[Breitbart] Fox News executive chairman Rupert Murdoch will host a company-wide meeting Wednesday amid internal turmoil at the network and threats to its ratings dominance from MSNBC.

According to Deadline, Murdoch is set to host two meetings at the network’s new studio, Studio F, where he will discuss both the company’s plans for a new newsroom and its overall direction and future. The meetings will reportedly be held in two shifts to accommodate all staff.

The meetings come as the network has been rocked by a series of sexual harassment and racial discrimination lawsuits in recent months, culminating in last month’s departure of star anchor and one-time cable news ratings king Bill O’Reilly.

Following O’Reilly’s departure, the network’s primetime schedule underwent perhaps its most significant reshuffling in years, with Tucker Carlson taking over O’Reilly’s 8 p.m. time slot and the panel show The Five moving to 9 p.m.

But the network faces an early test of its new lineup from MSNBC, which has benefitted greatly from star anchor Rachel Maddow and its lineup’s breathless coverage of the Trump administration.

US Army plans to aquire new rifle with bigger bullets
After carrying the M16 or one of its cousins across the globe for more than half a century, soldiers could get a peek at a new prototype assault rifle that fires a larger round by 2020.

Army researchers are testing half a dozen ammunition variants in “intermediate calibers,” which falls between the current 7.62 mm and 5.56 mm rounds, to create a new light machine gun and inform the next-generation individual assault rifle/round combo.

The weapon designs being tested will be “unconventional,” officials said, and likely not one that is currently commercially available.

Some intermediate calibers being tested include the .260 Remington, 6.5 Creedmoor, .264 USA as well as other non-commercial intermediate calibers, including cased telescoped ammo, Army officials said.

If selected by senior leaders, the weapon could resolve a close-quarters weapons debate about calibers that critics say dates to the 1920s and has influenced military small arms ever since.

If successful, the new rifle and round combination would give troops a weapon they can carry with about the same number of rounds as the current 5.56 mm but with greater range and accuracy in their firepower — with little change in weight.

D1: China's massive DNA database
In the name of safeguarding its 1.4 billion people, China has been collecting biometric information from millions of people whom it deems potential threats—among them, Uyghurs, migrant workers, and college students—as part of national DNA database.

China’s Ministry of Public Security, which oversees the database, has amassed information for more than 40 million people—the country says it has the world’s biggest database of DNA information (link in Chinese)—as of 2015, according to a report published by Human Rights Watch (HRW) Monday (May 15). For comparison, in the US, the FBI’s national DNA index has 12.7 million offender profiles.

“Mass DNA collection by the powerful Chinese police absent effective privacy protections or an independent judicial system is a perfect storm for abuses,”said Sophie Richardson, China director at HRW. “China is moving its Orwellian system to the genetic level.”

Sen. Thom Tillis (NC) not a racist
Sen. Thom Tillis collapsed during a Washington, D.C., race Wednesday morning and was taken away in an ambulance, but he later released a video proclaiming his health and eagerness to get back to work.

Observers told The Associated Press that Tillis, R-N.C., at first appeared unconscious but was revived and seen breathing as he left the scene.

Just before 10 a.m. Tillis posted a short video to his Twitter account from the hospital.

“Hey everybody. I’m fine; just running -- about two-and-a-half miles in got overheated, no CPR, no special measures, just checkin’ me out,” Tillis said. “See you back on the Hill.”

First FISA Request on Trump Tower Came After Bill Clinton, Obama's AG Loretta Lynch Had Private Meeting On Plane
[Liberty Alliance, 5 March 2017] On June 27th of 2016, Bill Clinton met secretly with Obama Attorney General Loretta Lynch at the Phoenix Sky Harbor International Airport.

A week later FBI Director James Comey laid out in a press conference the many scandalous activities taken by Hillary Clinton while she was President Obama’s Secretary of State and then he said the famous words:

Our judgment is that no reasonable prosecutor would bring such a case."

The request, uncharacteristically, was denied.

Fast forward to October 2016. Wikileaks began releasing emails of Clinton campaign chair John Podesta, rolling out batches every day until the election, creating new mini-scandals. These emails were virtually ignored by the mainstream media who were in the bag for Democrat Hillary Clinton but were spread widely by websites that chose to share the truth like this one.

Trey Gowdy Stops Just Short Of Calling Collusion On The Clintons And The DOJ [VIDEO]
[Daily Caller] Republican South Carolina Rep. Trey Gowdy said on Fox News Tuesday night that the Clintons’ "entanglements" with the Department of Justice run much deeper than the average viewer may know.

On Fox News’ "The Story," Gowdy cryptically told host Martha McCallum that he believes "history will be much kinder to Jim Comey in that July press conference than the Democrats were."

"I think he had access to information that, because he is a stand-up guy he’s not gonna disseminate classified information (though God knows everybody else is)...so all your viewers see is this meeting on the tarmac," he explained.

"Jim Comey had access to additional information that I am convinced left him with no other choice but to make the decision he made in July," Gowdy said.

#1  The Sky Harbor meet was a Bill Clinton future Hildebeest administration job offer, more commonly known as a bribe.

Lynch knows it's a bribe, obstruction of justice or collusion (or has the appearance of a bribe, obstruction of justice or collusion), but is caught btwn a rock and a hard place. Courses of action available:

a. Make an official report of the event to the congress and recommend a special prosecutor? Trash the former president and the Hillary Clinton election over a (he said-she said) at Sky Harbor Airport ?

b. Don't report the event and go easy on the Clinton's as requested, only later to be seen as facilitating the Sky Harbor Bill Clinton obstruction, bribe or reward ?

c. Recuse herself, hand the Clinton issue to her deputy? But for what reason, and to what potential future outcome ?

Lynch goes to Comey for advice, probably Soetoro as well. Hey guys, WTF do I do? Comey recognizes her dilemma which is somewhat like his own. Comey is already reluctant to recommend charges on the mounting evidence against Clinton, and destroy her run for office. Soetoro tells Comey "I've got your back on this one, I think you know what to do."

On 5 July 2016 Comey then takes out the trash of two presidents, an AG, and the democratic party, lifts the decision burden from Lynch.

Bill Clinton smiles. Nothing can be proven. Mission accomplished. Soetoro hits the links. Lynch's lackluster career is programmed to slip into obscurity. On 10 July 2016 Democratic campaign worker Seth Rich is found murdered.

And on it goes.

It seems like part of the problem with the Clintons is that far too many people have "stopped just short" and as the result, the Clintons have continued to skate for decades. Perhaps it is out of a fear of the Clintons as there is an unusually high number of unusual deaths around the Clintons.

Sanctuary City Mayor Trashes American Hero Robert E. Lee
[Daily Caller] Mayor Mike Signer--who had declared his intention to make Charlottesville, Virginia, the "capital of the resistance" to President Trump and a sanctuary city "to protect immigrants and refugees"--is refusing to protect a symbol saluting one of America’s greatest men.

Yes, Robert E. Lee was a great American.

If Signer knew the first thing about human valor, he’d know that there was no man more valorous and courageous than Robert E. Lee, whose "two uncles signed the Declaration of Independence and [whose] father was a notable cavalry officer in the War for Independence."

The battle flag of the Army of Northern Virginia--known as "Lee’s Army"--is not to be conflated with the "Stars and Bars," which "became the official national flag of the Confederacy." According to Sons of the South, the "first official use of the ’Stars and Bars’ was at the inauguration of Jefferson Davis on March 4, 1861." But because it resembled the "Stars and Stripes" flown by the Union, the "Stars and Bars" proved a liability during the Battle of Bull Run.

Skipping to last para:

Born in New York (confirmation of which Sergey Brin’s Google search is reluctant to cough up), steeped in Berkeley and Princeton--Mayor Mike Signer is nothing but a carpetbagger.

#1  Lee was a complex man and unlike this idiot mayor, actually changed with the times.

After the surrender, he was a full supporter and vocal advocate for the North's policies.

He didn't want to grant the vote to the freed slaves right away, but not from racism. He pushed for them to be educated at the landed elites expense so they would be on an equal footing with the whites when they did vote and become full citizens so their ignorance wouldn't be taken advantage of.

Needless to say, his plan didn't happen. I often wonder what the south and the US would look like if he plan was put into action.

#2  Such horseshit. I often wonder when the enlightened masses are going to come after my alma mater, Washington & Lee University, named after 'Saint Bob' (and George Washington) and of which he was president for 5 years immediately following the end of the Civil War. For the record, he took the job expressly to heal the wounds of the North and South through education. Those jackwads in Charlottesville should know better.

#3  I don't think anyone should be calling Robert E. Lee an "American Hero". He might have been an incredible military man, and had super patriotic uncles and father, but he was a military leader in an armed rebellion against the United States of America which is treasonous by most definitions.

Call him a hero of the south, a military hero, whatever you want but "American Hero" doesn't sound right.

Having said that the Mayor sounds like a tool.

When he knew the Civil War was lost he continued to fight which killed many more Union and Confederate soldiers that had no reason to die. ...the only place on the face of the earth that misses the Ottoman Empire....
.The Arclight airstrikes, against the Kurdistan Workers’ Party (PKK) began at 11:00 a.m. at three villages of Amedi, Duhok province.

Mahmud Niheli, a media official from the area, told BasNews that the bombardments had no human causalities but caused "a huge damage" to the people from Sargale, Dere and Sgere villages.

Most of the people from these villages are farmers and their plantations were destroyed heavily by the attack, Niheli explained.

He added the offensive has scared the residents of the area who left their farms behind to save their lives.

This week Amedi mayor, Rozhan Ismail Mustafa, called on the PKK guerrillas to stay away from the residential areas near the borderlines in order for the civilians not get hurt by Turkish strikes.

Thousands of villagers from Kurdistan Region borders have been displaced due to the constant fight between PKK and Turkish army and several have bit the dust in the bombardments.

Iraqi forces storm last IS-held district northwest of Mosul’s Old City: officer

Mosul (IraqiNews.com) Iraqi government forces began Tuesday invading the last district leading to the Islamic State-held Old City from the northwest as commanders reassure of near victory.

Cap. Kadhim Hassan, from the Interior Ministry’s Rapid Response forces, told BasNews that troops invaded al-Najjar district, and managed to destroy ten booby-trapped cars belonging to the Islamic State at that district.

Iraqi government forces are eyeing the ancient, densely structured and populated Old City, the place where Islamic State’s supreme leader Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi declared the establishment of an “Islamic Caliphate” in 2014. Troops besieged the area for weeks from the south, but turned to the northwestern axis to invade the city earlier this month. IS fighters are believed to have been holding hundreds of thousands at that area as human shields.

“The enemy is on the brink of total defeat in Mosul,” U.S. Air Force Colonel John Dorrian, a spokesperson of the U.S.-led coalition backing Iraqi troops, told a news conference in Baghdad on Tuesday, adding that the coalition had destroyed 200 underground tunnels and 300 vehicles belonging to the militants.

679 booby-trapping vehicles, 11 headquarters of the group, 47 drones and 76 booby-trapping workshops were destroyed while 6,661 bombs and 217 explosive belts were defused, according to Rasool.

“89.5 percent of western Mosul was liberated. Only few districts are remaining under the militants control,” he said adding that the paramilitary troops of al-Hashd al-Shaabi “made extreme advance toward Qairawan and Baaj regions.”

Meanwhile, Iraqi troops have isolated the main battlefields, besieging the IS militants is some districts.

He added that once Islah al-Zeraie district was liberated, CTS troops were able to free al-Ureibi district, which enabled blocking the communication between the militants there and the rest in 17 Tamuz and al-Iqtisadiyeen districts, forcing them to head toward the Old City, which will be there last stronghold.

n police officer was killed by a rocket-propelled grenade on Tuesday in a Shia town, the interior ministry said, as deadly fighting escalated.

A member of the special police emergency forces died when "a rocket-propelled grenade (was) launched from inside the neighbourhood" and hit his patrol unit in the Almosara area of Awamiya, the ministry said in a statement.

"Five others were maimed and taken to hospital," it said.

Awamiya is a town of 30,000 in Qatif district of Eastern Province, where most of the Sunni-ruled kingdom's shias live.

The town, in a region where Shias have long complained of marginalisation, has been the scene of repeated security incidents.

The police officer is at least the third person killed in the Gulf coast town of Awamiya since Wednesday.

The unrest centres on Awamiya's old Almosara district, which is the site of a redevelopment project.

"It's really war," said an area resident who reported his home has been shaken by kabooms in the past two days.

On Friday the ministry said a two-year-old boy and a Pak died when gunnies from within Almosara opened fire on passersby, security officers and workers on the project.

PTI accuses govt of softening its stance on Jadhav's execution
[DAWN] Pakistain Tehrik-e-Insaf
...a political party in Pakistan. PTI was founded by former Pakistani cricket captain and philanthropist Imran Khan. The party's slogan is Justice, Humanity and Self Esteem, each of which is open to widely divergent interpretations....
's (PTI) politician Shafqat Mahmood on Tuesday criticised the government over its 'handling' of Kulbhushan Jadhav's hearing at the International Court of Justice (ICJ) and urged the federal government to divulge details of the matter before the parliament so that it could be brought under discussion.

Asserting that matters regarding national security and foreign affairs should not be decided behind closed doors, Mahmood said, "It was important to ask how a 'clear' decision against a self-confessed spy and 'terrorist' was made controversial."

The ICJ on Monday heard the case brought to it by India pertaining to the sentencing of Indian spy Kulbhushan Jadhav, who was handed a death sentence by a Pak Field General Court Martial (FGCM) last month.

Implying that the government had 'deliberately' softened its stance on Jadhav, Mahmood said experts were drawing links between Pakistain's handling of Jadhav's case with Indian business tycoon Sajjan Jindal's visit to Pakistain last month where he met with the prime minister in Murree.

"Nobody should be allowed to trade personal interests with national interests," he maintained.

Mahmood urged the prime minister to disclose information regarding Jadhav's hearing at the ICJ before the parliament.

France charges 'IS scout'
[Al Ahram] French authorities Tuesday charged a suspected Islamic State
...formerly ISIS or ISIL, depending on your preference. Before that al-Qaeda in Iraq, as shaped by Abu Musab Zarqawi. They're very devout, committing every atrocity they can find in the Koran and inventing a few more. They fling Allah around with every other sentence, but to hear the pols talk they're not really Moslems....
"scout" believed to have helped a key organiser of the 2015 Gay Paree attacks and the perpetrator of a foiled train attack enter Europe.

Prosecutors charged Bilal Chatra, a 21-year-old from Algeria, with complicity in an attempted terrorist liquidation and association with terrorist criminals, according to a source close to the enquiry.

The source said Chatra was "suspected of playing the role of a scout", helping train shooter Ayoub El Khazzani and Abdelhamid Abaaoud, one of the organisers of the November 2015 Gay Paree attacks, get into Europe via the Balkans migrant route.

Khazzani shot and seriously injured a passenger on a high-speed Thalys train between Amsterdam and Gay Paree before being overpowered by two off-duty US servicemen and their friend.

He travelled to northern Europe with Abaaoud, one of the Gay Paree attacks cell who opened fire on bars, restaurants and a concert hall before he died in a police shootout shortly afterwards.

According to a probe source, Abaaoud ordered Chatra to "scope out the checkpoints in different countries along the migrant route", a mission that took him to Greece, Serbia and Austria.

(IS) murderous Moslem group and other Islamist forces of Evil in the city are on the "brink of total defeat", officers said Tuesday.

Iraqi forces launched the massive operation to retake Mosul from IS nearly seven months ago, fighting their way to the city held by Islamist murderous Moslems, retaking its eastern side and then attacking the west.

Brigadier General Yahya Rasool, front man for Iraq's Joint Operations Command, told a news conference in Baghdad that IS now controls just over 10 percent of west Mosul.

Both Staff Lieutenant General Abdulwahab al-Saadi, a senior Iraqi special forces commander, and Colonel John Dorrian, the front man for the US-led international coalition against IS, said that the end was near for Islamist forces of Evil in the city.

"They have two options: die and go to hell or raise the white flag. They have no third option," Saadi told AFP at his headquarters in Mosul.

"The enemy is completely surrounded," Dorrian told the news conference in Baghdad. "The enemy is on the brink of total defeat in Mosul."

The drive to retake Mosul has been supported by a campaign of coalition air strikes in and around the city.

Dorrian said that coalition strikes have destroyed more than 300 explosives-rigged vehicles in Mosul, as well as over 200 IS tunnels and more than a thousand Islamist murderous Moslem fighting positions.

India-Pakistan
Lal Masjid cleric set to stir another controversy
[DAWN] The deposed holy man of Lal Masjid
...literally the Red Mosque, located in Islamabad and frequented by all sorts of high govt officials. The proprietors, Ghazi Abdul Rasheed and Maulana Abdul Aziz Ghazi, unleashed their Islamic storm troopers on the city, shutting down whorehouses and beating people up who weren't devout enough. The Musharraf govt put an end to the nonsense by besieging the place. Abdul Aziz Ghazi was nabbed while he was trying to escape dressed up like a girl. BBC reported that the corpse count at 173, but other claims, usually hysterical, say there were up to 1000 titzup. Among their number was Abdul Rashid Ghazi. Everyone then said tut-tut and what a nice guy he had been...
Maulana Abdul Aziz
...nutball holy man who runs the Lal Masjid in the heart of Pakistain's capital. After instigating a rebellion against the state in 2007, he was caught trying to sneak away dressed in a burka. He rejects democracy as un-Islamic, which it probably is...
is set to stir another controversy as he has decided to preside over a conference to mark the 10th anniversary of Lal Masjid operation.

"Invitations will be sent to the president, prime minister, the director general of the ISI and the federal cabinet along with leaders of like-minded political and religious parties to attend the conference," said a close aide to the holy man.

The conference, scheduled to be held on July 7, will be organised by Shuhada Foundation at Lal Masjid.

The foundation announced that the conference would not only be a milestone towards the implementation of ’Sharia’ but would also prove to be a referendum towards the imposition of Islam in the country.

"We will file an application with the capital administration on Tuesday so that there is an ample time for them to clear all queries," the holy man’s aide added.

"Similarly, invitations will be forwarded to key religious and political personalities and the leadership of the country as well as the head of the intelligence agency this week."

He said extending invitations to key officials would help the organisers put pressure on the local administration to grant permission for the conference besides facilitating the guests to set their schedule well on time to attend the event.

Meanwhile,
...back at the precinct house, Sergeant Maloney wasn't buying it. It was just too pat. The whole thing smelled phony, kind of like a dead mackeral but without the scales...
a front man for the Shuhada Foundation said there was no need to obtain any NOC from the government as the conference was being held inside the mosque.

"If they do not give us the NOC we will approach the Islamabad High Court to get out right to hold the conference to highlight the sacrifices rendered by our comrades for the implementation of Islam in the country," said Hafiz Ehtesham Ahmed, the front man.

Israel-Palestine-Jordan
Report: Israel sentences man to 14 years for spying for Syria
[Ynet] Syrian media reports Sudki al-Maqat--who previously served 27 years for espionage--is sentenced to 14 years after being convicted of providing intelligence information to Syria on IDF activities near the northern border.

Syrian media reported Tuesday that a man from a Druze town in the Golan Heights has been sentenced to 14 years in prison by the Nazareth District Court for supplying information about the IDF to Syrian intelligence forces.

According to the reports, Sudki al-Maqat from Majdal Shams, was convicted of cooperating with a foreign agent and transferring information to the Syrian regime.

Al-Maqat, 50, had already spent 27 years in prison for spying for Syria prior to this latest conviction. He was released in August 2012 and resumed his activities shortly after his release.

According to information contained in his indictment, it appears that al-Maqat documented IDF activity on the Israeli-Syrian border and transferred the information to the Syrians by uploading it to various media outlets on the internet and Facebook.

Al-Maqat was charged with espionage, assistance to the enemy during wartime, support of a terrorist organization, contact with a foreign agent and a host of other security offenses. He was jugged
Don't shoot, coppers! I'm comin' out!
in February 2015 and the indictment was filed three months later. al-Maqat's lawyer, Kamil Faraj, said they are considering appealing the verdict.

SANA, a Syrian news agency, reported that al-Maqat sent a letter from prison, claiming that the "malicious verdict awaiting me is meant to silence, punish and prevent me from exposing the truth about the support the Israeli occupation authorities provide terrorist gangs and criminals in Syria".
The Times of Israel adds:
Maqt was tossed in the slammer
Youse'll never take me alive coppers!... [BANG!]... Ow!... I quit!
in 2015 on suspicion of passing photographs and written reports of IDF positions to Syrian intelligence officials. He obtained the information from a IDF combat soldier. The soldier, who cannot be identified in media reports, was arrested in February 2015.

The Israeli side of the Golan Heights has four Druze towns. Many of the residents feel they are Syrians, and maintain connections with their brethren over the border, who make up about five percent of Syria’s pre-war population of 23 million people.

Would-be IS girl recruit planned school bombings, Danish court finds
[Al Ahram] A 17-year-old Danish girl who offered to fight for Islamic State

was found guilty on Tuesday of planning kabooms at two schools, one of them Jewish, court documents showed.

The girl was tossed in the clink
You have the right to remain silent...
at her home in January last year, when she was aged 15, and charged with planning the attacks after acquiring chemicals for making bombs, police said.

Police who searched the residence found a handwritten note with the words "Allahu Akbar!" (God is greatest), a date, and the address of the Jewish school in Copenhagen

A second note was marked "kaboom on the infidels" and gave the address of her own school near Holbaek, a town west of the capital.

Police said they also found chemicals, a list of ingredients for making a bomb and a container marked "Tatp" - a common abbreviation for the explosive triacetone triperoxide.

A jury in the Holbaek district court found the girl - who is white European and was not named - guilty of attempted terrorism, the court said in a statement. Sentencing was deferred to Thursday.

The court said the girl had written two Twitter profiles in which she offered to fight for myrmidon group Islamic State.

Prosecutors last month presented the court records from her preliminary questioning, stating she initially confessed to planning the attacks. The girl later changed her plea to not guilty.

Defence attorney Mette Grith Stage told Rooters her client would await sentencing before deciding whether to appeal.

In February 2015, a gunman killed two people in shooting attacks at a debating event and a Copenhagen synagogue before being rubbed out by police.

British authorities say heroin found on Islamabad-London PIA flight
[DAWN] British authorities confirmed Tuesday that their Border Force officers had found a "quantity of heroin" on board a Pakistain International Airlines (PIA) flight that landed at Heathrow Airport Monday.

The authorities further said National Crime Agency officials were investigating the case after the seizure of narcotics from the plane.

"No arrests have been made, enquiries are ongoing," said an official associated with the agency, in an email response to Dawn.com.

Earlier in the day, PIA spokesperson Mashhood Tajwar had confirmed that British authorities had "thoroughly searched" and detained the flight crew after they landed at Heathrow Airport.

-Lurid Crime Tales-
Seth Rich sent 44,053 DNC emails to WikiLeaks
Bringing forward g(r)om's Instapundit Article from yesterday.
Fox News is reporting this morning that a federal investigator who reviewed murdered DNC staffer Seth Rich’s computer after his death found evidence that he had been communicating with WikiLeaks:
Hopefully, this recent development regarding the Seth Rich murder won't be overshadowed in the media by some James Comey note taking revelation. Or is that actually the purpose of the Comey revelation ?
Money quote:

The federal investigator, who requested anonymity, said 44,053 emails and 17,761 attachments between Democratic National Committee leaders, spanning from January 2015 through late May 2016, were transferred from Rich to MacFadyen before May 21.

On July 22, just 12 days after Rich was killed, WikiLeaks published internal DNC emails that appeared to show top party officials conspired to stop Sen. Bernie Sanders of Vermont from becoming the party’s presidential nominee. That controversy resulted in Debbie Wasserman Schultz resigning as DNC chairperson. A number of Sanders supporters refused to back party nominee Hillary Clinton, and some subsequently formed groups to work against Clinton and the party.

#2  Seth Rich info will destroy their Russia smear foundation that is built upon Russia hacked DNC. This is reason they desperately attack Trump to negate Seth Rich story.
Wheeler, who is a former police homicide detective, is running his own investigation into Rich’s murder and believes the police department may be trying to cover up what actually led to Rich’s death. “I have seen and read the emails between Seth Rich and Wikileaks,” which are in the possession of the FBI, the investigator said.
“The police department nor the FBI have been forthcoming,” said Wheeler. “They haven’t been cooperating at all. I believe that the answer to solving his death lies on that computer, which I believe is either at the police department or either at the FBI. I have been told both.” Wheeler also claims that a source inside the police department told him the police were ordered to stand down on Rich’s case.

“Now, that is highly unusual for a murder investigation, especially from a police department. Comey had Seth's Laptop , along with Weiner's files that Comey did not turn over to Justice Dept that's why Trump fired his corrupt ass while he was 3000 miles away, so he would not have time to clean out his office .......

Entitlement Person Wants Apology from AA for being sent to the Back of the Plane
[Independent] Two women travelling on an American Airlines flight have claimed members of staff were "racist" towards one of them.

Rane Baldwin, who is African American, was flying with friend Janet Novack, who is white, from Kentucky to Charlotte when the incident occurred on 2 May.

Baldwin - an AAdvantage Platinum Select/World Elite cardholder - had purchased the two tickets and decided to upgrade them both to first class. However, when they were issued their boarding passes, she was instructed to go to the back of the plane despite her frequent flyer status, while Novack, who holds no status with the airline, was directed to first class. Baldwin was told her seat had been reassigned because there weren’t enough first class seats available.

The behaviour of American Airlines flight attendants from there added up to "the most blatantly racist thing that’s ever happened to me," according to Baldwin. "I’ve never felt so unimportant in my entire life," she told The Root.
She's Platinum? Pull out your phone, dear, and call that private customer service number on the back of your card to complain that you are being mistreated right now this minute, and would they please talk to the stew standing in the aisle about fixing it? No? I need to talk to your supervisor right now -- this is a problem. Yes, thank you, I'll hold. But do hurry, as we are due to take off, and they've got me sitting by the lavatory at the back of Coach, while they seated my companion in First Class. I can't imagine what they were thinking.

Venezuela death toll hits 42: Prosecutors
[Al Ahram] A 17-year-old boy and two men died in Venezuela after being shot during anti-government protests, prosecutors said Tuesday, bringing to 42 the number of people killed in six weeks of unrest.

The latest deaths made the recent wave of festivities almost as deadly as the last such disturbances in 2014, when 43 people were killed in anti-government protests.

The current unrest erupted on April 1 when the opposition erupted into the streets in anger at what they saw as moves to strengthen elected socialist President Nicolas Maduro's hold on power.

The government and the opposition have accused each other of sending gangs to sow violence in the protests.

The boy was hospitalized after being shot in the head Monday during a demonstration in the western town of Pedraza and died early Tuesday, the public prosecution service said in a statement.

He was at the scene of a demonstration "when suddenly a group of people arrived and fired several shots, wounding the young man in the head," it said.

The department added that two other men, aged 31 and 33, had died from gunshots they suffered in demonstrations in the cities of San Antonio de los Altos and Tachira.

Monday saw the latest in weeks of violence as opponents mounted fresh demonstrations against Maduro.

Police have fired tear gas and protesters have hurled rocks and Molotov cocktails in a near-daily series of festivities.

Man in Custody over Links to Champs-Elysees Gunman
[AnNahar] A man has been placed in jug for alleged links to a gunman who killed a policeman on Gay Paree's famed Champs-Elysees just days before the first round of La Belle France's presidential election, a judicial source said Tuesday.

The 23-year-old was incarcerated
I ain't sayin' nuttin' widdout me mout'piece!
on Monday in the Gay Paree region, the source said.

Investigators are trying to find out where the gunman, 39-year-old Karim Cheurfi,
...the reclusive Algerian-Frenchman who'd only got out of prison last year for trying to kill French policemen when he turned around and got himself killed committing jihad in the name of ISIS...
got the Kalashnikov he used in the April 20 attack.

A note praising the Islamic State
...formerly ISIS or ISIL, depending on your preference. Before that al-Qaeda in Iraq, as shaped by Abu Musab Zarqawi. They're very devout, committing every atrocity they can find in the Koran and inventing a few more. They fling Allah around with every other sentence, but to hear the pols talk they're not really Moslems....
was found next to the body of Cheurfi, who rubbed out an officer and maimed two other coppers and a German passerby before being killed in a firefight.

Police later found other weapons in Cheurfi's car including a shotgun and knives.

The Islamic State group claimed the shooting as the work of one of its "fighters." It was the latest in a string of attacks that have claimed 239 lives around La Belle France since 2015.

However,
we can't all be heroes. Somebody has to sit on the curb and applaud when they go by...
the IS named the shooter as Abu Yussef the Belgian, which does not correspond to Cheurfi, who was from the eastern Gay Pareeian suburbs.

Khalifa Haftar used hundreds of men as cannon fodder in Benghazi
[Libya Observer] On the date of the third anniversary of Dignity Operation, which is being celebrated in eastern cities that are governed by military rule, journalist and political activist Mansour Abied, who has abandoned the operation, has crashed the party with heavy criticism and allegations that would rock any boat.

Abied, a media performer who has interviewed most Dignity Operation commanders and enjoyed access to all areas of the conflict in eastern Libya under the protection of Khalifa Haftar
... served in the Libyan army under Muammar Qadaffy, and took part in the coup that brought Qadaffy to power in 1969. He became a prisoner of war in Chad in 1987. While held prisoner, he and his fellow officers formed a group hoping to overthrow Qadaffy. He was released around 1990 in a deal with the United States government and spent nearly two decades in the United States, gaining US citizenship. In 1993, while living in the United States, he was convicted in absentia of crimes against the Jamahiriya and sentenced to death. Haftar held a senior position in the anti-Qadaffy forces in the 2011 Libyan Civil War. In 2014 he was commander of the Libyan Army when the General National Congress (GNC) refused to give up power in accordance with its term of office. Haftar launched a campaign against the GNC and its Islamic fundamentalist allies. His campaign allowed elections to take place to replace the GNC, but then developed into a civil war. Guess you can't win them all...
’s self-styled Libyan National Army (LNA), took part in a debate in his newly established Libya al-Watan TV on Monday night. He covered all aspects of Dignity Operation, from the reasons for its launch in 2014 to the way it was managed and the results after three years of death and destruction in Benghazi.

Britain
"Destroy Labour", Britain's Conservatives given election orders
[Al Ahram] No talk of opinion polls and definitely no boasting - Britannia's governing Conservative Party is under strict orders before a June election which it hopes will "destroy" the opposition.

The Conservatives, once criticised by Prime Minister Theresa May for being called the "nasty party", won seats from left-wing parties and from the right in local elections this month by capitalising on the opposition Labour Party's divisions to appeal to their working-class voters and Brexit supporters.

The elections to local councils and a handful of mayoral positions were a dry run for the June 8 parliamentary election in which opinion polls suggest May's party is set to add dozens of additional seats, possibly reshaping the political landscape in Britannia by ushering in years of Conservative rule.

The goal is nothing less than "to destroy Labour", one Conservative politician said, by targeting the seats of up-and-coming opposition politicians to stunt its growth. This, the Conservatives say, would hand May the kind of commanding victory she needs to strengthen her hand in divorce talks with the EU.

But the message to Conservative politicians, members and activists is true to form for the risk-averse prime minister - do not take anything for granted. For her, the biggest electoral threat is not from other parties, but the risk of the Conservatives appearing over-confident.

"We must not be complacent and I am not complacent," May said just a week after she called the early election.

This month, after making gains in local elections, she told supporters: "I will not take anything for granted and neither will the team I lead, because there is too much at stake."

Opinion polls give the Conservatives around a 20-point lead over Labour, and the party won some seats traditionally supportive of the opposition party in the local elections.

Israel-Palestine-Jordan
Shin Bet breaks up Islamic Movement terror cell
[IsraelTimes] The Shin Bet security service says it broke up a cell of Arab Israeli men from the Islamic Movement who were planning to carry out shooting attacks against IDF soldiers.

According to the Shin Bet, the three men in the cell began plotting the attack in November 2015 in response to Israel’s decision to outlaw the Northern Branch of the Islamic Movement.
...the Islamic Movement is the Moslem Brotherhood in Israel. They do all the usual social welfare stuff, pass millions in donations from Turkey and the UK to Hamas, and additionally the "moderate" Southern Branch runs for election as one of the Arab parties, while the Northern Branch uses stronger methods, including the Mourabitoun, the cadre of Israeli Arabs who harass Jews on the Temple Mount. Their founder died recently; he was loudly mourned as a staunch "Zionist", which suits the Southern Branch marketing.
They put together their plan throughout 2016, purchasing a Carlo-style improvised submachine gun and electronic transmitters to set off explosives from afar, the Shin Bet says.

Two of them -- Muhammad Masri of Beersheba and Abdullah Abu Ayyash of Kuseife -- were enjugged
Please don't kill me!
in December 2016. The third member of the cell, Mahmoud Luisi of Qalansawe, wasn’t arrested until March 2017, as he had traveled to The Sick Man of Europe Turkey
...the only place on the face of the earth that misses the Ottoman Empire....
According to the Shin Bet, while in Turkey, Luisi met with members of Hamas, the well-beloved offspring of the Moslem Brotherhood, in order to secure funds and training from the terrorist organization. He was picked up by the Shin Bet upon his return to Israel, the security service says.

The interrogations of the three members of the cell also led to the arrest of Fares al-Omari, a senior member of the Islamic Movement, as well as two unnamed men from the Galilee, who are suspected of illegally selling weapons.

Indictments have been filed against the suspects, the Shin Bet says.
Ynet adds:
The terror cell planned to carry out an attack against IDF soldiers in the Negev. Plotters monitored soldiers’ travel patterns in the area, acquired machine guns and remote bomb-detonating devices.

In the second half of November 2015, Masri and Lawisi came to the protest tent in Umm al-Fahm, which was established following the outlawing of the Islamic Movement. al-Omri spoke with the two in private and asked to enlist them to protest against the decision by spraying slogans. Later on, the three concluded that it was not enough to spray slogans and decided to carry out a terrorist attack in Israel.

"The northern branch of the Islamic Movement has maintained close ties with Hamas, a contraction of the Arabic words for "frothing at the mouth", over the years. The investigation showed that the common ideological basis and the deep connection that exists between the Death Eaters in both organizations carries a great security risk, with an emphasis on (replacing) alleged humanitarian activities with carrying out terror attacks," said the Shin Bet.

Turkey PM says Germany must choose between Ankara and alleged coup plotters
[Al Ahram] Turkish Prime Minister Binali Yildirim on Tuesday said Germany must decide between its friendship with Ankara and alleged coup plotters, after Berlin granted political asylum to some of its military officials with suspected links to last year's failed putsch. "Germany must decide on one thing: if it wants to further improve its relations with Turkey..., then it must turn its face to the Turkish republic" not to supporters of US-based Muslim preacher Fethullah Gulen, Yildirim said. Gulen is blamed by Ankara for orchestrating the failed coup in July last year.

'Faith healer' accused of raping two women in Rahim Yar Khan
[DAWN] A 'faith healer' allegedly raped two women in Getha Bathha Town near Rahim Yar Khan, police said.

Faqir Hussain, a resident of Jetha Bathha, filed a report Monday at the Saddar Police Station stating that his daughter and daughter-in-law were raped by Bilal Shah, the 'faith healer', almost two weeks ago, Station House Officer (SHO) Saddar Khanpur Abbas Akhtar told Dawn.

Hussain added his daughter and daughter-in-law routinely visited Shah to get amulets, the SHO added.

He said that, returning from one such visit 15 days ago, his daughter and daughter-in-law told him that they had been raped by Shah, the SHO said.

In his application, Hussain said he had contacted some influential people in the area regarding the matter and due to the pressure exerted by them, Shah offered money or land to the victims.

However,
some people cause happiness wherever they go; others whenever they go...
Hussain refused to accept.

A first information report was registered by the police under Section 376 of the Pakistain Penal Code.

The two women were sent to District Headquarter Hospital in Khanpur for medical tests while the police began a search operation to arrest Shah.
