KKK Disbands As Progressive Left Accomplishing All Their Goals
(Bzzzz) HARRISON, AR—It was a somber day for white-hooded members of the Ku Klux Klan as they received news that their organization was disbanding, since the progressive Left was accomplishing all of their goals with unparalleled effectiveness.

"Welp, I guess it’s both good news and bad news," said current CEO of the KKK, Bob U. Genics while overseeing Klan members turning in their robes and pointed hats. "Them Lefties cornered the racism market for sure, and look at how they undermined minority communities through low school standards, drug legalization, and rampant decriminalization. Impressive."

The head of the now-dissolved KKK reassured the gloomy crowd, reminding them that it was an honor to pass the baton of hate and division to people with their tentacles deeply woven into American politics, education, business, and entertainment.

"Racism is in good hands," he said, misty-eyed.

Following the disbandment meeting, the former members excitedly showed their support for the new face of racism and hate by donating to Ilhan Omar's campaign.

Redfin and Realtor websites won't provide crime statistics for neighborhoods when homebuyers search for houses to avoid ‘racial bias'
[American Thinker] Two major websites used by homebuyers to search for properties to move into have decided that ignorance is bliss when it comes to crime statistics. As noted by Stacey Matthews on Legal Insurrection, Realtor.com and redfin.com decided on the same day that providing crime information on neighborhoods would promote racial bias. Helping families avoid moving to a house or condo in a dangerous crime-ridden neighborhood is far less important to them than virtue signaling their trendy "anti-racism."
Decorative exterior window trim can oftentimes provide a key.
Apparently they both nave forgotten the ancient maxim "caveat emptor" — "let the buyer beware." I am not certain how to render "Let the buyer be anti-racist" in Latin, but that is the replacement philosophy for these real estate marketing geniuses.

For connoisseurs of PC doubletalk, the statements issued by Realtor.com CEO David Doctorow and redfin.com’s Chief Growth Officer Christian Taubman are worth a look.

Doctorow writes:
...earlier this month, we removed the crime map layer from all search results on Realtor.com to rethink the safety information we share on Realtor.com and how we can best integrate it as part of a consumer’s home search experience.

In the weeks and months ahead, we plan to examine closely what neighborhood safety means for buyers and renters who use our site so we can reimagine how we integrate safety data on Realtor.com. Our goal is to ensure we are providing consumers with the most valuable, fair and accurate neighborhood data so they can make informed decisions about where they want to rent or purchase their next home.

We’ve also been collaborating with impressive advocates who have decades of fair housing experience.

I wonder who those "impressive advocates" are? BLM co-founder Patrisse Cullors, perhaps? She knows a lot about real estate, having laid out $3.2 million for four houses, including one in lily-white Topanga Canyon.

#6  Haha... they both aggregate and publish Greatschools.net demographic and quality score data. With two clicks any prospective buyer can see the racial composition of the nearest public schools. Crime is of course highly correlated with this demographic 'thing that must not be noticed,' per Steve Sailer.

More fun: the real estate sites also aggregate and publish the Greatschools rating. They give a 1-10 score for academic quality and publish this for every local elementary, middle and high school. This of course is positively correlated with home prices.

The kicker: a public school with a Greatschools rating below 5 is 90% likely to be majority-minority (black or Hispanic).

A public school with a rating of '9' or '10' is 90% likely to be at least 40% Asian and not more than 10% black or Hispanic.

Schools with scores in the middle ranges tend to be between 20% and 30% black or Hispanic.

#8  The unspeak movement is strong with professional organizations. There was a recent story where an NAR (National Association of Realtors) member was being prosecuted BY the NAR for his speech. The defendant is a Pastor, and as such has opinions that might not be politically correct.

#17  Back in the late 90s I worked for a company that made auto navigation maps. We had an icons, invisible to the end users, that we put on rich neighborhoods that marked them so that nobody would routed through the area that didn't have a destination in the area. Then our field guys started returning with data on bad parts of town where people drew guns on them and threatened them.

I suggested using the same icon to avoid navigating folks through these dangerous areas. I was told the suggestion was racist.

Anyway phone navigation replaced it before anyone got killed and the company go sued so live and learn. Not sure I had a point but this madness, refusing to accept reality, has been going on a long time.

Studies Proving Generic Drugs Can Fight COVID Are Being Suppressed
[Federalist] Omicron emerging in the United States and news of the first reported death in the United Kingdom remind us how little we understand the novel coronavirus, and with vaccines less effective against the new variant, how much we are in need of additional ways to fight it. To broaden our knowledge of COVID-19 and identify the best ways to treat and prevent it, doctors should be able to use every possible safe means at their disposal to help patients. Unfortunately, that is impossible in our current political climate.

Since the summer of 2020, U.S. public health agencies have continually shut down the use or even discussion of generic treatments that are minimally profitable. The National Institutes of Health (NIH) funded 20 large research studies of patented pharmaceutical industry drugs before only recently (and slowly) agreeing to study repurposed generic medicines.

The Food and Drug Administration and the Centers for Disease Control have recommended next to none. Instead, the Biden administration has thrown its political weight almost solely behind mass vaccinations, and hospitals and pharmacies have dogmatically followed suit. But this approach is proving insufficient to arrest COVID-19.

REPURPOSED GENERIC MEDICINES THAT HELP FIGHT COVID
Just look at the evidence on fluvoxamine, a widely used generic antidepressant. A randomized controlled trial (RCT) published in November 2020 showed that the drug led to far less clinical deterioration in treated patients. Another, larger, double-blind RCT, published in The Lancet in October of this year, found fluvoxamine reduced COVID-19 mortality rates by up to 91 percent and hospitalizations by two-thirds. This is an FDA-approved drug. Dosed correctly and for such short periods, it is safe. And it costs about a dollar a pill.

These findings have since been further reinforced by another study published by the Journal of the American Medical Association in November, which showed a strong "class effect" of benefits from anti-depressants very similar to fluvoxamine against COVID-19. Yet, despite the large double-blind, placebo-controlled trial, neither the NIH nor the Infectious Diseases Society of America (IDSA) has arrived at a recommendation for routine use of these drugs to treat COVID-19.

The NIH to date has ignored the study. Its last update on fluvoxamine dates back to April, more than seven months ago. More disturbing is the fact that the IDSA recently reviewed this high-quality trial, yet still held fast to its recommendation of "do not use outside of a clinical trial." Why do repurposed drugs require numerous trials prior to an agency recommendation, while high-profit, novel, patented drugs get routinely approved after only a single trial?

1918: Before the Brest Peace
Direct Translation via Google Translate. Edited.
[Regnum] On February 9, 1918, the Germans and Austrians issued an ultimatum demanded that representatives of Soviet Russia recognize their treaty with the Central Rada. In response, on February 10, Trotsky categorically refused to make concessions. He was sure that the Germans and Austrians would not be able to afford an offensive. The Bolsheviks hoped for a powerful ally - the revolution. Trotsky stated:

"In anticipation of the, we hope, close, hour, when the oppressed classes of all countries will take power into their own hands, like the working people of Russia, we are withdrawing our army and our people from the war ... We are withdrawing from the war. We inform all peoples and their governments about this.

China Mocks NFL for Kowtowing When Chinese People Don't Even Like Football
[Breitbart] Falsely labeling the country of Taiwan as part of China will do little to improve the National Football League’s (NFL) financial prospects in the communist country, state propaganda newspaper Global Times declared on Friday.

The Times was responding to a controversy erupting this week when the NFL announced a series of international partnerships meant to promote the popularity of American football. While football remains America’s most popular sport at home, it has made no significant progress in constructing a global fanbase and, to that end, the NFL announced it had designated special markets for its teams to generate energy behind them.

In the announcement, the NFL published a map showing that it assigned the Los Angeles Rams the entire nation of China as its "international home marketing area." The map of China, highlighted in red to show it is part of the program, incorrectly including the island of Taiwan. The inclusion was particularly egregious in light of exclusions of legitimate offshore territories of other countries, most prominently Spain.

Economy
EXTRA! EXTRA! Inflation creates contraction in discretionary spending
[Last Refuge] The Commerce Department November retail sales data was release today [DATA HERE] — [DETAIL pdf HERE]. The top line issue is a shocking drop in retail sales for November in key categories that align with previous discussion of inflation spending priorities for all U.S. consumers.

Before getting to the data, one point is critical to remember. The commerce department sales figures are based on dollars spent. This point is important, because the items being purchased have inflation within them. When prices are higher due to inflation, sales figures should be higher due to higher prices. Ex. If there is an 8% increase in retail price, but only a 4% increase in retail sales, that means less stuff is being sold. [Less units sold at a higher price gives the illusion of an increase in sales.]

Despite the start of the traditional holiday sales and shopping period, the total sales growth in November was 0.3% over October [Column A]. Factoring in inflation during the same month to month comparison at 0.9%, you can tell that overall in November there was a drop in units sold across the total of retail sales outlets.

CAIR-Ohio fires director for being an anti-terrorist mole
Former newspaperman has thoughts on this story from yesterday.
[DonSurber] The Ohio chapter of the Council on American-Islamic Relations fired its Executive and Legal Director Romin Iqbal for working with the Investigative Project on Terrorism, founded by Steven Emerson in 1995.

CAIR labeled the organization an anti-Muslim hate group, and thus the media did as well.

CBS reported, "A director of the Ohio Chapter of the Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR-Ohio) has been fired for allegedly aiding an anti-Muslim hate group."

Few media outlets named this alleged anti-Muslim hate group.

The Columbus Dispatch did name the group.

It said, "For several years, Iqbal, the executive and legal director of CAIR-Ohio, has been recording network meetings and sharing information regarding CAIR’s national advocacy work with the Investigative Project on Terrorism, a known anti-Muslim group, according to a Tuesday press release from the organization’s Ohio chapter.

"Saying he was among moles for the IPT, a Washington-D.C. Based nonprofit, Nihad Awad, CAIR’s national executive director, released information on the situation late Tuesday night, saying that last year the national office was sent information about the Investigative Project on Terrorism."

While the newspaper's story was thorough, no one contacted IPT for its side of the story. The fired director apparently did not return phone calls.

Also not mentioned in the Dispatch story -- or anyone's -- was IPT's work in bringing down the Holy Land Foundation, which 20 years ago was the largest Muslim charity in America. It also was funding Hamas. The founder of CAIR-Texas in Dallas was among those sentenced in 2008 for their terrorist activities. He got the longest sentence: 65 years.

I can see why CAIR might mot like IPT and would brand it a hate group.

But CAIR may have had cause to fire Iqbal.

CBS reported, "CAIR-Ohio said its Columbus office found suspicious purchases from ammunition and gun retailers in recent weeks made with a credit card linked to Iqbal.

"Staffers also found a suspicious package Monday mailed to the CAIR-Ohio Columbus branch containing parts for an AR-15, the group said, adding that the parts were bought with the credit card, though it couldn't say who bought the parts.

"The organization fill in law enforcement, which is investigating."

I don't know.

'Tis a weird story. We shall see if the media bothers with it or it goes down the memory hole along with the black supremacist who ran his SUV into Waukesha's Christmas Parade, killing six people and injuring another 50.
