Britain
Intersectionality showdown
[Twitchy] You might remember the story from last month about a group of Muslim parents who were threatening to take their children out of a Birmingham, U.K. elementary school that was teaching children about LGBT rights and homophobia. The school’s principal defended the "No Outsiders" project, but parents argued that the curriculum clashed with their Muslim faith and that the children were too young to be talking about LGBT issues.

A month later, the school has dropped the "No Outsiders" project after hundreds of parents pulled their children from the school for a day in protest.

A primary school that taught pupils about homosexuality as part of a programme to challenge homophobia has stopped the lessons after hundreds of children were withdrawn by parents in protest.

Parkfield community school in Saltley, Birmingham, has been the scene of weekly protests over the lessons, which parents claim are promoting gay and transgender lifestyles.

On Friday about 600 Muslim children, aged between four and 11, were withdrawn from the school for the day, parents said. The school would not confirm the number.

Are four-year-olds now going to be committing hate crimes against gays?
Now we know which protected group is the most protected.

#3  Read the statement by the LGBT groups in response. They seem to be genuinely shocked that the UK government would turn on them like this. One sentence in particular is priceless: "We were assured by the government that there would be no restrictions because of religion..." But, of course, the government didn't say WHICH religion. The LGBT people are not dealing with a religion that teaches "turn the other cheek" anymore. They are now dealing with a religion that teaches "kill the infidels wherever you find them." They may live to regret the demise of the former.

Sebastian Gorka: Democratic Socialism Is Just A PC Term For Communism (VIDEO)
[American Lookout] Dr. Sebastian Gorka spoke at the Conservative Political Action Conference this week and warned that the far left in America wants to go much further than they are even saying.

Gorka’s family escaped Communism, and he drew on that history in his speech. It was pretty powerful.

Sebastian Gorka, former deputy assistant to President Trump, warned conservatives Thursday they are on the "frontlines of war" to counter communism’s rise in the United States ‐ pointing to Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez’s Green New Deal resolution.

"It’s a watermelon: green on the outside, deep deep red communist on the inside," Gorka said of the Green New Deal at the Conservative Political Action Conference.

The resolution, introduced this month by Ocasio-Cortez, D-N.Y., and Sen. Ed Markey, D-Mass., calls for achieving net-zero greenhouse gas emissions, along with guarantees for jobs, higher education, and high-quality healthcare, among other things, to all....

"They want to take your pickup truck, they want to rebuild your home, they want to take away your hamburgers. This is what Stalin dreamt about, but never achieved," Gorka said. "You are on the frontlines of the war against communism coming back to America under the guise of Democratic socialism ‐ which is just the PC term for communism."

#2  I am going to get skull hammered for this question, I know. But are communists and socialists abroad as far left as the politicians in the USA?

I am not too familiar with things in Russia, but things seem pretty progressive in China. The government basically leaves you alone if you leave them alone, and you 'go forth and prosper'. Venezuela is a whole different, stinky can of fish.

Yeah, they don't like Muslims too much in China. They don't like anti-government religious groups.
They have a low tolerance for people whose livelihood is focused on causing trouble (community organizers). Somehow, I can sleep at night as I don't give a sh*t about them, either.
The first amendment in the US has morphed into a joke that just allows people to be endless trouble makers: fake news.

Maybe we should call AOC, et. al., something new? Community dis-organizers? Omabanists? China is doing okay, so don't toss them in the same economic bucket as Venezuela: socialist, or you are throwing out the baby with your bathwater.

We need new words for the American Left.

#4  First they came for the anti-government religious groups but I didn't give a $hit so went back to sleep. Communism is communism is socialism but it is NOT freedom. And if we didn't have the likes of Hewlett-Packard, Google, Microsoft and Apple propping up the Chicoms they might smell more like Venezuelans.

#5  Beau, pay more attention to the Chinese Social Credit concept and where that leads.

They, big brother, communist party, et al, monitor your every word and deed and give you a credit score. Fall too low and it's off to the camps with you.

Nirvana to the SJW, progressive Democrats here. Anyone to the right of San Fran Nan has already been graded 0 or lower.

#7  Taking a step back in time.

I think Tailgunner Joe McCarthy was on to something. And he paid for it in spades with his opponents using the same tactics being used today.

What about his excesses? How do we know for certain when you look at who reported it and how it was reported in a manner much like CNN these days.

Remember, Saul Bellow and a couple of others were ostracized for testifying against people in Hollywood who were rabid communists. And those outed were hailed by the media as martyrs.

I still want to know where the Weathermen and the SDS got their money to travel the country to attempt to foment a revolution during the 60's.

We haven't been paying attention.

Andrei Sakharov warned us to be vigilant about the media, education and entertainment. He said the communists would infiltrate those first.

Lloyd Marcus explains what will happen if President Trump is Defeated in 2020
[American Thinker] Over a year ago, my wife Mary and I moved from Florida to a tiny town in the hills of West Virginia to be closer to our ailing parents; population 500. There are five churches in town. I enjoyed the town's patriotic July 4th parade and their faith-based Christmas parade.

I walk half a mile daily to the post office. On one occasion, I entered while the postmaster was on the phone talking to a town local. The postmaster told the person every item in their mailbox. Chuckling, I said, "People call to see what mail they've received?" The smiling postmaster replied, "She didn't feel like coming out in the snow. She asked me to tell her everything in her mailbox in case there was something important." I thought, how small town is that?

Trump signs are still displayed in a few yards. I suspect most residents voted for Trump.

There are less than 10 blacks, including myself, who live in our town. I have not experienced any of the rabid racism that Democrats, Hollywood, and fake news media claim I should fear living around Trump supporters.

Quite the opposite. Unofficial town ambassador elderly gentleman Charlie and his buddy George stopped by to welcome my white wife and me to town. Neighbor Peggy brought us a homemade apple pie she purchased at a community event. Ron gifted us corn from his garden. Big Butch and his buddies helped me relocate a shed in my backyard. Randy promised to bring me venison during deer hunting season. Two ladies from a church delivered us a "welcome basket" of goodies.

My neighbors are ordinary Americans who saw the horrible direction our country was going. They know Trump is good for America. Their loyal support for him is no more complicated than that. The Democrats’ and their minions’ relentless efforts to brand Trump voters racist haters is truly despicable, irresponsible, and divisive. Democrats and their leftist operatives are purposely generating racial hatred and violence against anyone caught wearing a MAGA cap.

Democrats, Hollywood, fake news media, and #NeverTrumpers are tripling down on their lies and negative spin about everything Trump says and does, intensifying their quest to drive Trump's approval below 30% to impeach him.

India-Pakistan
Justice delayed is justice denied
[DAILYTIMES.PK] It has now been 17 years since Mukhtaran Mai survived a brutal panchayat-ordered gang rape. Despite the astounding amount of time that has passed and the grizzly nature of the crime, she still hasn’t been able to get justice. It is no wonder that she showed more faith in God than anything elsewhile speaking to Daily Times regarding the Supreme Court’s recent adjournment of her case. Forced to run from pillar to post to receive justice, Mai’s only real ally at this point seems to be her attorney Barrister Aitzaz Ahsan, who is representing her pro bono.

Eight of the 14 men Mai accused of being involved in the rape continue to be on the lam. They continue to use legal loopholes in the Pak justice system to evade justice. On the case’s last hearing this past Wednesday, they showed up to the court without any legal representation, forcing the presiding judge to adjourn the case until March 27. It is unfortunate that these men have been given a rather long reprieve once again. What makes matters worse is that this is a country where members of the judiciary in the past have been seen jumping past all legal hurdles to order the construction of mega infrastructure projects etc., but a high profile rape case has taken ages to reach its logical conclusion. What causes more anguish to the victim is that the Lahore High Court had previously acquitted six of the previously convicted accused.

The Pak justice system must now prove that it is able to protect women from such brutal crimes. Apart from this, it must also prove that it is able to crack down on the parallel systems of justice that order such heinous sentences. Mai’s case must not face any more delays. The case must be expedited so justice can be served and seen to be served, once and for all.

Cosmetic actions?
[DAILYTIMES.PK] The recent crackdown against prominent members of banned
...the word banned seems to have a different meaning in Pakistain than it does in most other places. Or maybe it simply lacks any meaning at all...
organization
s such as Jamaat-ud-Dawa
...the front organization of Lashkar-e-Taiba...
(JuD) and Jaish e Muhammad (JeM) is a step towards the right direction by the Imran Khan
... aka Taliban Khan, who is the lightweight's lightweight...
-led government.

A key stumbling block was the non-implementation of the National Action Plan (NAP) with opposition leaders like Chairman PPP Bilawal Baby Bhutto Zardari
...Pak dynastic politician, son of Benazir Bhutto and grandon of Zulfikar Ali Bhutto. As far as is known, Bilawal has no particular talents other than being pretty and being able to memorize political slogans, but he had the good luck to be born into the right family and he hasn't been assassinated yet...
highlighting the matter on several occasions in the past. NAP was formulated during PML-N’s last tenure, but it largely remained inactive owing to political differences and bureaucratic red-tape. Now that the PTI has finally decided to enforce the rule of law in letter and spirit with TLP being the first on the radar, it is hoped that key parties like PML-N would continue to lend their support rather than play petty politics of which the PTI set a trend in recent years.

However,
there's no worse danger than telling a mother her baby is ugly...
can the crackdown steer towards a logical conclusion given how past similar measures were mere cosmetics?

During General Pervez Perv Musharraf
... former dictator of Pakistain, who was less dictatorial and corrupt than any Pak civilian government to date ...
’s rule, similar steps were taken but for a specific reason. Pakistain was cash-strapped and financial aid from the United States and other influential powers was the need of the hour at the time. The events of 9/11 gave the then leadership an opportunity to bring in aid, foreign investment and tourism by taking action against homegrown Death Eater groups.

Coming back to the present, Prime Minister Imran Khan has often mentioned about revival of the economy and encouraging tourism opportunities. There are three interlinked factors which pushed him for changing the state’s international dynamics.

First and foremost, the objective of the ongoing crackdown is to remove Pakistain from Financial Action Task Force’s (FATF) grey list to encourage a boost in foreign direct investment.

Secondly, tourism is one of PTI’s key goals and for that entrepreneurs and state officials have been working round the clock by promoting Pakistain as a viable and safe tourist destination. This has much to do the first factor since tourism derives from stability and security. Documentaries, photojournalism, travelogues and visits by international celebrities have helped in this regard. Not mentioning the flexible e-visa policy introduced in January 2019.

Thirdly, the state’s international image is in dire need of an upward trajectory and it is directly linked to the second factor. If Khan can pull this off, it would be a miracle itself. However,
there's no worse danger than telling a mother her baby is ugly...
it takes years to realise the full potential since India and Malaysia initiated ground work in the 1990s which gradually led to their positive projection.

Returning to containing militancy, rights activist Jibran Nasir has recently proposed a citizen reporting mechanism which would track any suspicious activities of banned outfits. This can give the people a voice in expressing their concerns; something similar to the PM’s complaint cell.

There is a fear of militancy evolving overtime and new faces emerging in the future. Hence, the ongoing crackdown must not deviate from its goals and state elements must ensure prevention of repeating the horrors of the bygone era. Pakistain cannot afford to be perceived as a pariah or rogue state again. *

Alabama judge allows man to sue clinic on behalf of aborted fetus
[WND] An aborted baby for the first time in the United States has been recognized to have legal rights.

An Alabama man suing a clinic for providing an abortion to a woman he says was pregnant with his baby petitioned a probate judge to allow him to represent the unborn child’s estate, reported WHNT-TV in Huntsville, Alabama.

Probate Judge Frank Barger signed off on the petition by Ryan Magers, who claims to be the father of "Baby Roe."

Brent Helms, the attorney for Magers and Baby Roe, said Barger’s decision marks the first time an aborted fetus has been recognized to have legal rights.

But WHNT said it’s not clear if Barger knew what he was granting.

In the petition, filed Jan. 25, 2019, Baby Roe is not specifically referred to as a "fetus."

WHNT said it reached out to Barger to ask if he knew he was signing off on rights for an unborn fetus, but he refused to comment.

The lawsuit in Madison County is against Alabama Women’s Center for Reproductive Alternatives LLC in Huntsville. Magers did not want the woman to have the abortion, which took place Feb. 12, 2017. Magers, who is seeking a jury trial, said he wanted to keep the baby but the mother wanted an abortion, the lawsuit claims.
