CAUGHT HIM! Rebel News pummels Pfizer CEO with questions at World Economic Forum

[Rebel News] It was the moment we were waiting for: one of the most hated men in the world going for a leisurely stroll because he assumed he was amongst friends. After all, in the three years since the pandemic began, have you ever seen a journalist ask him a tough question?

Well, he didn’t count on Rebel News and our accountability style of citizen journalism.

I walked right up to him and started asking him the questions that millions of people have surely been wondering for years. And a moment later, Avi joined in, making it a sort of walking press conference. And Bourla couldn’t answer a single question.

You know, there are hundreds of "accredited" journalists here at the World Economic Forum — the biggest names in news, from CNN to the New York Times. But you have to understand: they’re all here as WEF members, not to hold the WEF to account. They’re on Pfizer’s team. They would never ask Pfizer a tough question.

I really don’t think their CEO knew what hit him today.

That’s what we’re doing every day here at the WEF.

Between Avi and I [sic], we asked 29 questions. Everything we have been wanting to ask the Pfizer CEO for three years — from how much he has personally profited from the pandemic, to how much he has paid others to promote his vaccines, to important questions about when he knew his vaccines didn’t actually stop transmission, and why he kept it a secret.

#2  I listened to the interaction- there wasn’t any. They yelled questions and he answered none. Rebel News does some good stuff. I liked the questions, but it was really just harassment. Project Veritas does some of these harassments after they drop undercover video. I usually tune out the harassment followup as they are pretty similar each time.

Alec Baldwin to be charged over deadly shooting on Rust film set
Actor Alec Baldwin will be charged with involuntary manslaughter over the shooting of cinematographer Halyna Hutchins, who was killed on a film set when he fired a prop gun.

Mr Baldwin had been rehearsing a scene for the Western film Rust when the shooting happened at a ranch near Sante Fe, New Mexico in October 2021.

Hannah Gutierrez Reed, the film's armourer, will also be charged with involuntary manslaughter.

Neither have commented on the charges.

On Thursday, Santa Fe's District Attorney Mary Carmack-Altwies announced in a statement that charges would be filed against them by the end of the month.

"Actor and producer Alec Baldwin and armourer Hannah Gutierrez-Reed will each be charged with two counts of involuntary manslaughter," the statement read. "After a thorough review of the evidence... I have determined that there is sufficient evidence."

"On my watch, no one is above the law, and everyone deserves justice," she said.

The pair face up to 18 months in jail and a $5,000 (£4,040) fine if convicted. They will be tried by a jury, prosecutors said.

Film director Joel Souza was also wounded in the shooting, but prosecutors said no charges would be filed in connection with that.

After the shooting, Mr Baldwin said the gun had misfired. He added that he did not pull the trigger on the gun and he was not aware that it was loaded.

"I don't know what happened on that set. I don't know how that bullet arrived in that gun. I don't know," he said in December 2021.

In October 2022, Mr Baldwin and the film's production company reached a settlement for an undisclosed amount with the family of Ms Hutchins.

It came after the cinematographer's husband, Matthew, filed a wrongful death lawsuit which alleged violations of industry standards.

"All of us believe Halyna's death was a terrible accident," Mr Hutchins said in a statement at the time. "I have no interest in engaging in recriminations or attribution of blame."

Production of the film had been scheduled to resume this year, with Mr Hutchins on board as executive producer.

#4  Involuntary Manslaughter is defined as: 1) An unlawful killing that was unintentionally caused as the result of wanton or reckless conduct that a defendant engaged in; or 2) An unlawful killing that resulted during the commission of a dangerous battery by a defendant. (Massachusetts State Law.)/em>

State by state the statute probably differs and Baldwin is another Hollywood liberal dirt bag but the charge may not stick as far as the above common legal definition does not apply to the actual event.

#6  ...as the above common legal definition does not apply to the actual event. -Mad Eye

1) An unlawful killing that was unintentionally caused as the result of wanton or reckless conduct that a defendant engaged in;
Alec Baldwin chose to 1) Use a functional gun instead of a solid nylon movie prop weapon or other facsimile; 2) Did not check to see that the weapon was unloaded before aiming at a human being; and 3) Baldwin pulled the trigger. Q.E.D. Baldwin had multiple failures of judgment leading to an "unintended death".

California MS-13 member accused of 10-year-old's torture and murder is in US illegally: source
A suspected MS-13 gang member set to go on trial next week for the horrific 2018 slaying of his Caliphornia, an impregnable bastion of the Democratic Party, girlfriend's 10-year-old son is a native of El Salvador and living in the U.S. illegally, according to a law enforcement source.
Nancy's "spark of divinity"
Kareem Ernesto Leiva, 37, and his American girlfriend Heather Maxine Barron, 33, are both charged with murder and torture in the death of her son, Anthony Avalos, as well as child abuse against two other children in the home, court records show.

Prosecutors allege the boy had been beaten, starved, forced to kneel on rice, force-fed, whipped and more in a home where he was allegedly subjected to "extreme physical pain and suffering."

While in jail, Leiva allegedly shanked another inmate, according to court documents, and was accused of domestic violence against females in both 2010 and 2013.

His brother, Mauricio Leiva, is another alleged MS-13 member who was indicted in a federal racketeering case against a deadly drug ring in 2016, court documents show.

Leiva and Barron's murder trial in Los Angeles is scheduled to begin next week. Jonathan Hatami, who rose to prominence as the lead prosecutor in the Gabriel Fernandez trial, and Saeed Teymouri are assigned to the case.

Leiva's defense attorney, Dan Chambers, did not immediately respond to a message seeking comment

Authorities seize crypto website Bitzlato, arrest founder for allegedly operating criminal haven
[KOIN] An international group of law enforcement agencies seized a Hong Kong-registered cryptocurrency website and arrested its founder for allegedly operating a haven for criminals to launder funds.

Justice Department and Treasury Department officials on Wednesday alleged cryptocurrency exchange Bitzlato processed more than $700 million in illicit funds by failing to implement an effective anti-money laundering program and that it was aware some accounts were engaging in criminal activity.

Deputy Attorney General Lisa Monaco said U.S. and French authorities dismantled Bitzlato’s digital infrastructure and FBI
...Formerly one of the world's premier criminal investigation organizations, something for a nation to be proud of. Now it's a political arm of the Deep State oligarchy that is willing to trump up charges, suppress evidence, or take out insurance policies come election time...
agents arrested Russian national Anatoly Legkodymov, the founder and majority owner of the website, on Tuesday evening in Miami.

"Today, the Department of Justice has dealt a significant blow to the crypto crime ecosystem," Monaco said.

Deputy Treasury Secretary Wally Adeyemo said the department’s Financial Crimes Enforcement Network designated Bitzlato as a "primary money laundering concern" after authorities identified nearly 50 percent of Bitzlato’s known transactions between 2019 and 2021 as involving illicit Russian finances or other "risky sources."

"Bitzlato was particularly active in facilitating illicit activity, but it is ultimately part of a larger, larger ecosystem of cyber criminals that are allowed to operate with impunity within Russia," said Adeyemo.

Accused Idaho killer Bryan Kohberger's search warrants unsealed
[NYPOST] Washington State University Police recovered a possibly blood-stained mattress cover, human hairs, a glove and a computer from University of Idaho murder suspect Brian Kohberger’s apartment, according to a search warrant unsealed in Washington Court on Wednesday.

Police executed a search warrant at the 28-year-old Ph.D student’s residence and office at Washington State University in Pullman on Dec. 29, the same day as Pennsylvania police and a SWAT team had raided his parents house and taken him into custody in the early hours of the morning.

According to the search warrant, the Washington State University Police also seized two cuttings from an uncased pillow with a “reddish/brown stain,” one “nitrite type black glove,” eight possible hair strands, a possible animal hair strand and other evidence including possible blood stains, which were sent to a lab for testing.

Kohberger was subsequently charged with masterminding and carrying out the vicious Nov. 13 killing spree in Moscow, Idaho — a ten minute drive from his residence — which saw four defenseless students knifed to death as they slept.

Couple, son get life in prison for killing security guard over face mask feud
[NYPOST] A Michigan couple and their adult son were sentenced Tuesday to life in prison without the possibility of parole for the killing of a dollar store security guard who demanded that another family member wear a face mask at the height of the pandemic.

Larry Teague, wife Sharmel Teague, and Sharmel Teague’s son, Ramonyea Bishop, were ordered by Genesee Circuit Court Judge Brian Pickell to spend the rest of their lives behind bars for the shooting death of Calvin Munerlyn on May 1, 2020.

The trio was convicted in November of first-degree premeditated murder, which carries a mandatory punishment of life in prison without parole, following a trial that lasted several weeks, The Flint Journal reported.

Munerlyn, 43, was shot in the head at the Family Dollar store just north of downtown Flint 20 minutes after telling Sharmel Teague’s daughter, Brya Bishop, she had to leave because she did not have a mask, prosecutors said.

Sharmel confronted the security guard and the two got into a verbal argument, which escalated when the woman appeared to spit at him, prosecutors said.

Munerlyn chased the customer into the parking lot, where he tackled her to the ground twice.

The family then headed out, but a witness testified at trial that Sharmel Teague warned Munerlyn before leaving that they would be back.

Larry Teague and his son later came by the store, and the father yelled at Munerlyn that he disrespected his wife. The 23-year-old Bishop then pulled out a gun and shot the security guard in the back of the head, Sherlocks said.

Both men were arrested following a manhunt.

Brya Bishop was charged with tampering with evidence, lying to police and being an accessory to a felony. She was sentenced in November to time served and probation.

Latryna Sims, Munerlyn’s partner, on Tuesday wrote in an update on a GoFundMe page that was launched after his murder: "JUSTICE HAS BEEN SERVED!!!"

-Great Cultural Revolution
Propaganda Acolytes: 54 Soros-Tied Figures Linked to Major Media
[MRCbusiness/NewsBusters] The over $32 billion that leftist billionaire George Soros poured into his organizations to spread his radical “open society” agenda on abortion, Marxist economics, anti-Americanism, defunding the police, environmental extremism and LGBT fanaticism around the globe has paid dividends.

In fact, his funding has helped him establish ties with some of the biggest name media personalities in the United States and abroad which help indoctrinate millions with his views on a day-to-day basis. MRC Business found at least 54 prominent media figures (e.g. reporters, anchors, columnists, editors, news executives and journalists) who are tied to Soros through their connections to organizations that he funds. These include personalities like NBC Nightly News anchor Lester Holt and The Washington Post executive editor Sally Buzbee.

This is the final report in a three-part series that reveals the extent of Soros’ influence over the international media. MRC Business’ extensive research has uncovered 253 journalism and activist media groups across the world financed to the tune of $131 million between 2016 and 2020 by Soros’ enormous network of philanthropic organizations, which allows him to leave an unparalleled footprint on global media. This network of media ties allows Soros to hold sizable influence over the stories that the media covers, how they cover those stories, and what stories they don’t cover. Soros once told The New York Times that he was working to “bend” the arc of history “in the right direction,” and he’s using his global media clout to do it.

The media influence and ties that Soros bought was enough to insulate him from being seriously investigated by most journalists. Whenever a conservative critic dared to raise any objections to Soros’ spending and major political footprint, the liberal media worked overtime to characterize those critics as anti-Semites, as Bongino Report Content Manager Matt Palumbo told MRC Business in an exclusive interview. But mostly what Soros buys is silence.

  • 54 Soros-Tied Figures Linked to Major Media: MRC found at least 54 media figures (e.g. anchors, columnists, editors, news executives and journalists) who are prominent individuals in news and activist media, in addition to some of the most powerful media conglomerates in the United States and abroad. These included figures like NBC Nightly News anchor Lester Holt, CNN Chief International Anchor Christiane Amanpour, The Washington Post executive editor Sally Buzbee, PolitiFact Editor-In-Chief Angie Drobnic Holan and Bloomberg News co-founder Matthew Winkler.

  • Soros-Tied Media Figures Defend Him from His Critics: Soros’ $131 million in media spending has virtually insulated him from any serious investigations by journalists. If anything, media figures tied to Soros tend to smear anyone who criticizes him as being anti-Semitic. CNN Chief International Anchor Christiane Amanpour harassed Hungarian Minister of Foreign Affairs and Trade Péter Szijjártó and accused his boss, Hungary Prime Minister Viktor Orbán, of “stoking anti-Semitism” because he opposes Soros’ radical open border agenda. NBC Nightly News anchor Lester Holt exploited a violent attack on Soros’ home to take a generalized swipe at his critics by painting Soros as a “target of conspiracy theories.”

Donald Trump Prepares For His Return To Facebook And Twitter
[OANN] 45th President Donald Trump is looking to regain control over his social media accounts ahead of 2024 race for the White House, according to NBC.

On Tuesday, in a letter sent to Facebook’s parent company, Meta, Trump’s team officially requested that his account be unblocked.

    Should he do it?

    — Collin Rugg (@CollinRugg) January 18, 2023
“We believe that the ban on President Trump’s account on Facebook has dramatically distorted and inhibited the public discourse,” Trump’s campaign wrote.

The campaign emphasized the importance of free speech and asked for a meeting to talk about the Republican’s swift return to the platform.

A Meta representative said the business “will announce a decision in the next weeks in line with the procedure we laid out” but otherwise declined to comment on Trump.

Average speeds topped 100 before 133-vehicle pileup on icy I-35W in Fort Worth
[Fort Worth Star-Telegram] The average speed exceeded 100 mph on Interstate 35W just as it began to rain before a deadly February 2021 pileup that killed six, according to the North Tarrant Express Mobility Partners.

The National Transportation Safety Board released hundreds of pages of documents on Wednesday related to its investigation into a 133-vehicle crash on a icy patch of southbound TEXPress lanes near Northside Drive north of downtown Fort Worth at about 6 a.m.

The report included a document submitted by the toll road operators.

Concrete barriers separate the toll lanes, where the speed limit is 75 mph.

Superior Court Judge Ronald S. Harris said in a hearing that after reviewing reports from both prosecutors and Jeremy’s defense that he is in “incurable neurocognitive decline” from which he is unlikely to recover.

Prosecutors asked that he be periodically reevaluated.

    Southeast Asia
Gunmen launch deadly attack on southern Philippine Muslim community
Jihad or not, they act the same. It’s just the targets that are different. This time it’s not jihad, just normal intra-Moslem viciousness.
[BenarNews] Gunmen attacked a community of former Moslem guerrillas in the southern Philippines city of Cotabato before dawn on Wednesday, killing two people and injuring five others, police said.

About 20 gunnies stormed the village of Tamontaka 2, a community of mostly former rebels belonging to Moro National Liberation Front
...the Turkic paramilitaries intended to replace with their native jihadi ferocity all the highly trained Turkish soldiers Sultan Erdogan I the much beloved has jailed in the last few years for not worshipping the ground he walks upon. The Uighurs and so forth who did not join Al Nusra or ISIS seem to have ended up here...
(MNLF), city police chief Col. Querubin Manalang told news hounds.

Manalang said a shootout erupted between the button men and MNLF members, resulting in the death of two former rebels, identified as Pacundo Pangilan and Razul Abdulla, and the injuries to the others.

"The situation now is back to normal. We have coppers deployed in the area," Manalang said.

The chief said Sherlocks have not determined what led to the attack.

"If this is a case of clan war, we ask the families of those fatalities to coordinate with us so we can take the necessary action."

Romeo Sema, a senior MNLF leader who is a labor minister in the Bangsamoro Autonomous Region in Moslem Mindanao (BARMM), confirmed that his group’s members were involved in the gun fight.

"We are still investigating," he told BenarNews, but could not release additional details.

In the Philippines, particularly in predominantly Moslem areas of Mindanao island, it is not unusual for families to settle differences through clan wars or "rido." Hostilities could last for decades until a peace pact is signed by the protagonists, usually through mediation by religious leaders along with a cash payment.

    CYCLE OF VIOLENCE
Political rivalries, ancestral land claims, disputes on local fiefdoms, as well as election-related feuds often spur clan wars in Mindanao, the country’s mineral-rich southern third that has been locked into a cycle of violence for years. The island near the eastern Malaysian state of Sabah has also been saddled by decades of local insurgencies and separatist movements.

The MNLF was the precursor of the Moro Islamic Liberation Front (MILF). The older group signed a peace deal with Manila in 1996, dropping its rebellion for a separate Moslem homeland in the south for autonomy.

The MILF had splintered from the MNLF in 1978 and continued fight with government forces until 2014 when it agreed to peace in exchange for limited autonomy, eventually leading to the BARMM.

While both groups had agreed to decommission firearms and retire their fighters, unlicensed weapons remain a concern in many areas in the south.

Under the MILF agreement with the government, each former combatant who turns in weapons is expected to receive a cash payment, including money for education.

Despite the agreement, Rommel Banlaoi, a counter-terrorism analyst at the Philippine Institute for Peace, Violence and Terrorism Research, said the proliferation of firearms in the south is a huge problem.

Citing data, Banlaoi said 80% of the 600,000 unregistered guns in the Philippines are in the region.

"Illegal guns are mostly found in BARMM, not to mention the continuing homemade bomb training camps in the Bangsamoro region," Banlaoi told BenarNews.

Bangkok property leased by Nauru diplomat was base for passport forging
[BenarNews] The home in an exclusive Bangkok residential compound popular with diplomats was rented ostensibly by the tiny Pacific island nation of Nauru for its consul-general to Thailand, his family and staff.

But Onassis Dame, the Nauruan diplomat, and his family did not live there.

Instead the residence, which Sherlocks raided on Dec. 22, was used as a base for forging passports by foreigners including two Chinese nationals wanted by Beijing, Thai police have said.

Dame’s whereabouts as well as his and the Nauru consulate’s role, if any, in the passport mill are unclear. According to the Thai police, the illicit operation forged Chinese and Nauru passports.

Dame’s term as consul-general had expired in November, Pol. Gen. Surachate Hakparn, Thailand’s deputy national police chief, told a presser on Monday.

The consulate entered into the property lease in early September when Dame still headed it, according to a legal letter on behalf of the leasing company, a copy of which BenarNews obtained.

"If the consul-general told the Chinese to stay [at the property], he is taken as supporting the Chinese. If so, he was at fault. But it will be based on the investigation," Surachate said.

An employee at Nauru’s consulate in Thailand said on Tuesday that Dame had been recalled — a term that can cover various scenarios including the scheduled end of a posting, a diplomat’s poor behavior, or a government wanting to convey its displeasure with the host country.

Thailand’s Diplomatic and Consular List shows that Dame became consul-general in October 2019.

Nauru’s vice-consul, John Yu, didn’t respond immediately to emailed questions.

On Wednesday, the consulate employee said that consulate officials were busy with the situation involving Dame and the rented residence. An official at Nauru’s Government Information Office said they had no information about the case.

An Onassis Dame is also president of the Nauru Judo Association.

Calls to a Thai mobile number for Dame did not connect.

Nauru, northeast of Australia, is the world’s third smallest state by area after the Vatican and Monaco. It is one of only 14 countries that recognizes Taiwan instead of China.

The 21-square-kilometer (eight-square-mile) atoll is pockmarked by a phosphate mining industry that for several decades made Nauru among the world’s richest nations.

The most accessible phosphate is now exhausted and Nauru, home to about 10,000 people, is reliant on aid from Australia, Taiwan and the Asian Development Bank. In 2008, Nauru recognized the breakaway Georgian republics of Abkhazia and South Ossetia in an effort to also secure Russian aid.

    CHINESE-LINKED CRIMINALITY
In Thailand, the passport forgery investigation is the latest in a series of busts of crime rings and unregistered businesses involving Chinese nationals.

The case has also put a spotlight on official corruption as Department of Special Investigation (DSI) officers and other officials who carried out the Dec. 22 raid were arrested in January for taking a bribe from the Chinese nationals and allowing them to escape.

At least 15 officials have been charged with corruption in connection with the case, according to news reports.

On Wednesday, Thai Justice Minister Somsak Thepsuthin signed an order to transfer DSI chief Traiyarit Temahiwong over the scandal, the Bangkok Post reported.

The raided compound, in central Bangkok, is home to luxury homes and high-end apartment buildings with well-tended grounds, swimming pools, and tennis courts connected by a private road.

Property rental sites show a three-bedroom apartment can be had for about 100,000 baht (U.S, $3,036) a month. An eight bedroom three-story house in the compound is listed for 430,000 baht ($13,053) a month.

The constant comings and goings of unregistered vehicles and people, day and night, at the residence rented by Nauru caused concern for neighbors and the compound’s security guards, and eventually led to the Dec. 22 raid.

A Dec. 13 legal letter to Dame on behalf of the company that had leased the property said the lease agreement with the Nauru consulate had been violated.

It said the property had never been used as the private residence of Dame, his three family members and two staff as intended by the agreement signed on Sept. 2 last year.

"There has been an unconventionally high amount of traffic of unregistered vehicles entering and leaving the premises including during an unusual time, without addressing the purpose of the visit," the letter said.

The security of diplomats who live in the compound was at risk, it said, threatening termination of the lease.

Yu, Nauru’s vice consul, wrote to Thailand’s Department of Special Investigations twice in December — before the raid — seeking its assistance because of concerns about the rented property, according to a DSI statement on Dec. 28.

DSI’s account of Yu’s first letter, dated Dec. 9, indicates that he only recently had become aware of the rented property.

"It [the consulate] also discovered several violations of regulations by allowing Asian individuals, believed to be Chinese nationals, to use the property for purposes other than as the residence of the Consul-General. This might pose risks to international relations," the statement said.

"All day entries and exits at the property have grown suspicious and disturbing for neighbors, who consist of diplomats from other countries," the statement said.
