[Breitbart] Kinney County, Texas, declared the “existence of an ‘invasion'” along the Texas border with Mexico. A press release from Kinney County details the impact of the surge of human smuggling activity in their county.
“During the month of June, Kinney County law enforcement has prevented over 67 smuggling attempts along our roadways,” the statement reads. “This past weekend included the unfortunate deaths of 3 illegal aliens who were involved with human smuggling in Kinney County.”
The officials stated the county has been forced to “militarize our school campus with vehicle barriers to prevent high-speed chases from entering campus and injuring children.”
“As a Texan, this is not acceptable,” County Judge Tully Shahan wrote. “We will no longer allow the sovereignty of Texas to be invaded by those unwilling to obey our laws.”
“That is why today, July 5, 2022, Kinney County, joined by several other counties on the Texas border, are declaring the existence of an “invasion” as used in Article IV, Section 4 of the U.S. Constitution and in Article 4, Section 7 of the Texas Constitution.”
“We are taking these steps in hopes of encouraging our Governor to acknowledge the existence of an invasion on our border with Mexico and take the necessary actions to preserve and protect the sovereignty and territorial integrity of Texas.”

On the beach in Sheikh Ijlin, a neighbourhood in the south of Gaza City, no one is paying attention to a nearby Islamic jihad military drill. This is our second beach day this year," said Nabila Haniya, 40, who sat at a picnic table with several other women while their children played. "We have a lot of wars and troubles. The kids deserve to have some fun."
Fifteen years into a joint Israeli-Egyptian blockade, clean water is one of the most pressing issues for the 41km-long strip, which is home to 2.2 million people. Almost 97% of the water in Gaza’s sole aquifer is no longer potable: without proper maintenance and with Israeli restrictions on imports, sewage treatment plants were overwhelmed years ago.
Untreated waste has flowed directly into the sea for more than a decade, creating an environmental disaster and polluting one of the only affordable opportunities for fun in the isolated Paleostinian enclave.
Over the last year, however, Gaza’s three internationally funded sewage treatment plants have been able to step up operations, in part owing to a more steady and plentiful supply of electricity. In October 2021, 180,000 cubic metres of sewage a day was pouring into the Mediterranean; now, 120,000 cubic metres, or 70%, is going to the modern treatment centres, and the remaining 30% is partially treated, meaning 95% of waste is removed before the water re-enters the environmental cycle.
The improvements have reduced sea pollution to its lowest level in years, leading the local water authority to declare that 65% of the coastline is now categorised as "green" or "yellow", which means safe enough for swimming.
The rejuvenation of Gaza’s beaches is a major step in that it shows environmental cooperation between Paleostinians and Israeli is possible, said Gidon Bromberg, the Israeli co-director of EcoPeace Middle East, a joint Israeli, Paleostinian and Jordanian environmental peace-building organization, which played a big role in cleaning up Gaza’s seawater.
"This is perhaps the only good news to come out of Gaza in a decade," he said. "You can never disengage from a shared environment, you are always going to be dependent on your own and your neighbours’ ability to manage it.
"The grinding of the peace processor may have lost all urgency, but tackling the climate crisis and water security, those are things that bring benefits to both sides. It’s about creating a healthy co-independence."

[PJMedia] Another day has passed, and another Moslem man has murdered another Coptic Christian in Egypt.
On Sunday, June 5, 2022 — the same day Moslems attacked a packed church in Nigeria, massacring more than 50 Christians — Abdullah Hosni, a Moslem man with a long history of harassing Christians, randomly attacked a Copt, Kirollos (Cyril) Megali, with a meat cleaver in a village in Sohag, Upper Egypt.
Kirollos, who was rushed to a hospital "drenched in blood and with multiple stab wounds," spent three days in an intensive care unit before succumbing to his injuries, including hack wounds to his skull.
According to the dear departed’s brother, Abdullah was locally known for harassing Christians. He had relocated to Libya for a time but returned two days before assaulting Kirollos. The latter himself had been working abroad (in Kuwait) and was visiting family when Abdullah knocked him off his cycle of violence and started hacking at him [keep reading for more on this story and for pictures].
A few weeks before this latest murder of a Coptic Christian at the hands of a Moslem in Egypt, another young Copt was murdered by a Moslem man — who later said he was moved to the act due to his "loyalty to Allah" — and Fr. Arsenius Wadid was stabbed to death in broad daylight by another knife wielding Moslem man.
Meanwhile, ...back at the shootout, Butch started the buffalo stampeding...... this sort of savagery that was once reserved for Moslem majority nations has come to the West. Turning to La Belle France alone, just the other day, a Moslem man stabbed a Christian man ten times in the throat — "in the name of Allah." The murder occurred near a Catholic school, where the slain was picking up his children, aged 3 and 7; they witnessed the butchery of their father. A few days before that, also in La Belle France, three Moslem men tortured and slit the throat of a 70-year-old French woman in her retirement home.
And how have the "powers-that-be" responded? The UN recently inaugurated a "combat Islamophobia ...the irrational fear that Moslems will act the way they usually do... " day, and the European Parliament, after being petitioned to discuss the global persecution of Christians soon after a young Christian girl was stoned and burned to death in Nigeria, refused, saying there’s nothing to talk about. Two weeks later, Moslems shot up another church in Nigeria, killing more than 50.

You have to read Sword and Scimitar by Raymond Ibrahim to get a clearer sense of the underlying basis for the early evangelical/political motivations of Islam, as well as the absolute imperative for conquest at the root of its long, cruel and bloody history. The fall of Constantinople and the desecration of the Hagia Sophia are a stunning insight, and Ibrahim uses original sources from Islam and CHristianity to make his point.

[Rudaw] Syria's Hereditary President-for-Life Bashir Pencilneck al-Assad Supressor of the Damascenes... on Friday visited the heavily damaged northern province of Aleppo -- his first in 11 years of war.
He visited a major power plant in the countryside of the province's east to supervise its partial relaunch after war damage.
Assad was also present for the relaunching of a water pumping station, statements from the Syrian presidency said on the Telegram messaging app.
"Aleppo governorate has suffered from terrorism and sabotage more than any other governorate. The people of Aleppo have a right to benefit from these repairs the most," Assad said, according to one of the statements.

Assad's 2016 victory -- backed by Russian military force -- in Aleppo city, the country's economic heart, was a turning point in the war.
Electricity networks and other infrastructure across the country were ravaged by the war which is estimated to have killed nearly half a million people and displaced millions.
The Syrian government does not have authority over all of Aleppo province, with areas on the Ottoman Turkish border still controlled by Ankara-backed groups and the Kurdish Syrian Democratic Forces.
The recently rehabilitated part of the power station, one of the country's largest, will generate 200 Megawatts of electricity for the province, the presidency said.
In 2021, Aleppo's state-run electricity company announced the power station will be rehabilitated with support from Iran, another Assad ally.
Tehran signed several agreements with Damascus in 2017 to improve the production and distribution of electricity in war-ravaged Syria.
The deals included the rehabilitation of the Aleppo power plant, building a power station in Latakia, as well as repair and maintenance work in other regions.

The British defense ministry on Thursday claimed that the Royal Navy earlier this year confiscated a cruise missile from an Iranian vessel that was likely bound for Yemen.
The newly-appointed spokesperson for Iran’s foreign ministry Nasser Kanaani addressed the British claims, referring to them as "baseless" and "outdated."
Kanaani stated that the UK was not in a position to make such charges, accusing the Brits of providing weapons to the Saudi-led coalition in Yemen, effectively leading to the continuation of the conflict, reported state media.
Yemen has been in a civil war since late 2014 between Iran-backed Shiite Houthi rebels and the Yemeni government, supported by the Saudi-led coalition.
Kanaani added that the UK continues to export arms to the coalition, despite the fact that they are "well aware" that the weapons are being used to target "defenseless people."

The Houthi rebels and the Saudi-led coalition agreed to observe a two-month truce in April, the first cessation of hostilities in Yemen since 2016. The ceasefire was renewed for an additional two months in June.
