[Breitbart] California Gov. Gavin Newsom (D) announced Thursday that his reelection campaign had paid for billboards in seven other states promoting abortion tourism to the Golden State in protest at those states’ conservative policies restricting abortion.
Newsom, who has made abortion a main focus of his campaign as he expands his message to a nationwide audience, has begun to market California as a destination for those denied abortions elsewhere. He announced the billboards on Twitter:
Several of those states advertise in California, encouraging businesses and workers to move to friendlier economic climes — with better job opportunities, lower taxes, fewer regulations, and a more business-friendly environment.
Last year, Newsom vowed to make California a “sanctuary” state for abortion if the Supreme Court overturned Roe v. Wade and returned the issue to the states, which it did in Dobbs v. Jackson Women’s Health Organization.
Earlier this week, Newsom launched the state’s one-stop abortion shop website, abortion.ca.gov. Newsom’s latest budget will fund some travel from out-of-state for abortion services.

American Airlines announced that over 400 San Francisco-based flight attendants would be forced to transfer to new locations after it closes its Bay Area base, according to a union representative for the Association of Professional Flight Attendants.
The Flight Attendant base at SFO will be closing on January 21, 2023. The base currently serves as a home base for flight attendants from Sacramento, San Jose and the San Francisco area. This closure will displace around 403 locally-based flight attendants, forcing them to choose a new home base or retire. The SFO APFA Base President Tim Schwartz says that the flight attendants will be able to bid for nearby bases except LAX, which the company says is already overstaffed.
One problem that many of the flight attendants will be facing is uprooting their lives entirely.
“I would probably say the top 250 out of the 400 are rooted and grounded here in the Bay Area. They own homes here, they have kids that have been born and raised here,” Schwartz said.

But Democrats have become furious that migrants have shown up in the exclusive town where former President Barack Obama owns a home, Martha’s Vineyard. Democrats are in such upheaval, they have called the situation a “humanitarian crisis” and have threatened to deport and expel the migrants:
Democrat officials are also weighing a lawsuit against DeSantis for sending the migrants to Martha’s Vineyard, anticipating that thousands more could arrive on the island.
“We are not a sanctuary state,” DeSantis said in a press conference. “And it’s better to be able to go to a sanctuary jurisdiction. And yes, we will help facilitate that transfer for you to go to greener pastures.”

To prevent DeSantis or other Republican governors from transferring migrants “to greener pastures,” the White House will convene a meeting Friday “to discuss a range of pressing immigration issues — including ‘litigation options’ to respond” to the transportation of migrant minors to exclusive locations, Axios reported.
A DHS spokesperson told the publication the agency urges “states to coordinate closely with nonprofit organizations and local governments on efforts to facilitate voluntary migrant transportation. Failure to coordinate is irresponsible and creates unsafe conditions for vulnerable migrants as well as the receiving jurisdictions.”
Bill Gates, Oprah Winfrey, Bill and Hillary Clinton, and NBA star Chris Paul are a few of the wealthy American elites that have a home or have vacationed on the island, Business Insider reported. The Miami Herald reported that Martha’s Vineyard is about 90 percent white and “is a popular summer destination for the famous and wealthy.” Its average household income is $132,657.

[Newsweek] Christina Pushaw, rapid response director for Florida Governor Ron DeSantis' re-election campaign, challenged officials at Martha's Vineyard to take in "a few thousand more" migrants flown in from Florida.
Flown, not bussed? Florida is spending big bucks on this thing... or the governor found a donor with deep pockets to join in the fun.
The small island south of Cape Cod, Massachusetts, unexpectedly received two planeloads of migrants on Wednesday, according to local officials, as Florida joins other Republican-led states including Texas and Arizona in moving thousands of migrants to the likes of New York, Washington and now Martha's Vineyard, a wealthy vacationing spot.
In a later tweet, Pushaw, DeSantis' former press secretary, added that Martha's Vineyard residents "should be thrilled" about welcoming migrants.
"They vote for sanctuary cities—they get a sanctuary city of their own. And illegal aliens will increase the town's diversity, which is strength. Right?," she wrote on Twitter, as the case of the migrants flown to Martha's Vineyard sparked outrage on social media.

[Breitbart] A former senior FBI agent involved in the agency’s investigation into the Trump campaign based on phony allegations of collusion with Russia is now under apparent investigation himself by the Justice Department for his ties with Russia and other foreign governments, according to a report.
Business Insider reported Friday that late last year, U.S. attorneys convened a grand jury to examine the conduct of Charles McGonigal, the former head of counterintelligence at the New York City FBI field office. A witness subpoena obtained by the outlet indicated that the government was looking into McGonigal’s business dealings with a top aide to Oleg Deripaska, a Russian oligarch who was an associate of Paul Manafort, who served for several months as Trump’s campaign manager.
Does that make this an anti-Trump play?
NBC News reported in January 2018 that the Russian tycoon had been repeatedly denied a visa to enter the United States over his alleged ties to organized crime.
The FBI raided Deripaska’s homes in D.C. and New York City in October 2021.
The subpoena was issued in November 2021 and requested records related to McGonigal and a consulting firm called Spectrum Risk Solutions. In a separate filing a week after the subpoena was issued, a Soviet-born immigrant named Sergey Shestakov said McGonigal had helped “facilitate” an introduction between a Deripaska aide and Spectrum. McGonigal also reportedly introduced the aide to a law firm specializing in advising clients investigated for “fraud and misconduct.”

While it wouldn’t necessarily have been illegal for McGonigal to work on behalf of Deripaska, failing to disclose activities covered by the Foreign Agents Registration Act, such as lobbying and public relations, is punishable by a $250,000 fine and up to five years in prison. Deripaska was sanctioned by the Treasury Department in 2018 for acting as an agent for the Kremlin, and has been accused of ordering the murder of a businessman. ‘If McGonigal is mixed up in any way shape or form with Deripaska, that strikes me as unseemly, to put it politely,’ says Tim Weiner, the author of ‘Enemies: A History of the FBI.’
The outlet noted it is not clear whether McGonigal is the target of the grand-jury investigation, or if his behaviors are related to the target. But, Business Insider noted, “The materials requested in the witness subpoena raise questions about whether a top FBI agent may have been tapping the connections he made during his years of public service for private gain — an all-too-common practice among Washington insiders.”
Prosecutors are also allegedly looking into if McGonigal has ties to Bosnia and Herzegovina, and any “payments or gifts” he was provided by Kosovo, Montenegro, and Albania. According to Business Insider, McGonigal had used his official FBI email account to try to arrange a meeting between Edi Rama, the prime minister of Albania, and an American firm that he was thinking about hiring for an anti-corruption initiative. The FBI reportedly did not give McGonigal approval for the meeting and it never took place.
Despite McGonigal using his official FBI email, a representative for Rama told Business Insider that the relationship between McGonigal and Rama was a “totally private friendly relationship of no public interest.”
“We have no idea about any grand jury and no U.S. authority has ever contacted us about it. There have never been meetings with firms, gifts, payments, travel reimbursements before or after Mr. McGonigal left his job,” the representative said.
McGonigal was serving as chief of the cybercrimes section at the FBI headquarters in D.C. at the time that the Democratic National Committee was cyber hacked in the runup to the 2016 election. According to Business Insider, McGonigal was one of the first officials to “learn” that then-Trump campaign adviser George Papadopoulos allegedly bragged the Russians had dirt on Hillary Clinton, which the FBI claims sparked Operation Crossfire Hurricane. Then-FBI Director James Comey promoted McGonigal to the FBI field office in New York City.
McGonigal was reportedly working at a multibillion-dollar real-estate company in New York up until January, as witnesses were scheduled to appear before the grand jury.
[Townhall] The Biden Justice Department was told to pound sand by a judge over their motion to continue investigating and reviewing the documents seized during the FBI’s August 8 raid of Mar-a-Lago. Judge Aileen Cannon, a top target for the Left due to her being a Trump nominee, wasn’t convinced by the Department of Justice’s argument that their people not reviewing the records constitutes a national security risk (via Politico):
U.S. District Court Judge Aileen Cannon on Thursday rejected a Justice Department demand to let federal prosecutors continue their review of records marked classified that were recovered from former President Donald Trump’s Mar-a-Lago estate.
In her ruling, Cannon refused to accept department officials’ contention that the records they are trying to review as part of an ongoing criminal investigation remain highly classified or contain extraordinarily sensitive defense information that could damage national security if released.
"The Court does not find it appropriate to accept the Government’s conclusions on these important and disputed issues without further review by a neutral third party in an expedited and orderly fashion," Cannon, a Trump appointee, wrote in her 10-page ruling denying the Justice Department’s request to essentially exclude about 100 documents marked classified from the special master process.
Cannon instead appointed Raymond Dearie, a senior federal judge in New York, to lead an independent review of the seized materials. He was one of two potential special masters proposed by the Trump team, and prosecutors said they found him acceptable even though he was not one of their initial picks.
In a signed filing released by the court on Thursday night, Dearie accepted the task. Cannon urged him to complete his review by Nov. 30 — more than a month after the Oct. 17 deadline the Justice Department had most recently asked Cannon to set.
It’s a laughable charge on its face. These documents that allegedly included nuclear secrets were said to have remained at the home of former President Donald Trump for 18 months. It becomes a matter of state security when Democrats look like they’re about to get cooked in an election. Second, a June 8 letter by the Biden DOJ ordered Trump’s lawyers to keep all records at Mar-a-Lago. The FBI barged in two months later.

The FBI has been investigating Trump non-stop since 2016 and they still haven't found any evidence of criminal activity. Only two possible conclusions can be reached. They are either Keystone Cops or corrupt Democrat Party operatives. It looks like maybe the island demographics became just a little too diverse for its residents.
NBC correspondent Emilie Ikeda posted video footage to Twitter Friday morning that showed a number of the Martha’s Vineyard 50 boarding buses. The buses are headed, first via ferry, to Joint Base Cape Cod, where they will be processed with the help of — get this — the Massachusetts National Guard, activated to help deal with what island officials dubbed Thursday a "humanitarian crisis."
News of the migrants being bused off the swanky island sparked immediate ridicule, as one would expect.
"So the ’sanctuary jurisdiction’ of Martha’s Vineyard, which claims to be a welcoming community for illegal immigrants, is busing them off the island after just 1 DAY?" tweeted the DeSantis War Room account.

[NYPOST] Caliphornia, an impregnable bastion of the Democratic Party, paid 45% less for the same COVID-19 tests that New York state bought from a company tied to $300,000 in campaign donations to Gov. Kathy Hochul — and watchdogs are calling for answers.
The revelation Friday of New York taxpayers getting soaked on the test purchases is just the latest instance of alleged pay-to-play schemes involving the Democratic incumbent ahead of the Nov. 8 election.
"New Yorkers are supposed to believe it’s pure coincidence Gov. Hochul bought COVID tests for $12.25 apiece from a major donor, when other companies offered tests at half that price?" Assembly Minority Leader William Barclay (R-Oswego) said in a statement.
"This is negligence, incompetence or blatant corruption — maybe all three. Either way, it demands answers," he added.
The upstate Republican is not the only one calling for state and federal officials to probe how the New Jersey-based Digital Gadgets was able to charge the state nearly twice as much for rapid tests as the Omicron variant swept across the state last year.
Cutting out the Hochul-friendly middleman might have saved the Empire State as much as $286 million out of the $637 million in total payments to the company for 52 million tests, according to the Times Union, which first reported the Golden State discount Friday.

[NY Post] So many lies it's hard to keep track
President Biden on Friday came clean during a visit to the White House by South African President Cyril Ramaphosa — admitting, "I wasn’t arrested" trying to visit Nelson Mandela, despite saying so at least three times in 2020.
But Biden proceeded to tell Ramaphosa that he was "stopped" trying to visit Mandela — a claim that also has faced withering fact-checks and contradiction even from Biden supporters.
Biden admitted that his past remarks were untrue while welcoming Ramaphosa to the Oval Office.
"One of the great moments of my career was when — the first time Nelson Mandela came to the United States [in 1990]. And we were in — I was a senator at the time, and we met in the Senate Foreign Relations executive committee room," Biden told Ramaphosa.
"We all stood there and said hello to him and the like and afterwards, he asked if he could come by my office and he came by to say thank you because he heard I had been stopped trying to get to visit him, to see him in prison."
He has been caught in lies numerous times over the span of his presidency.
Biden then fessed up, "And I said once — I said I got arrested. I wasn’t arrested, I got stopped, prevented from moving. But he was extremely gracious."
Biden said at least three times that he was arrested attempting to visit Mandela on his prison island near Cape Town. The story attracted scrutiny because of glaring geographical issues — including the fact that he claimed to be arrested in Johannesburg, more than 760 miles from Robben Island.
Biden’s team later admitted it was untrue and that he was simply "separated" from other congressmen at an airport during a 1976 visit to Lesotho, a country that borders South Africa. But even that revision was contradicted by another congressman on the trip.
The Washington Post’s fact check column called Biden’s claim that he was arrested in South Africa "ridiculous."
On one occasion in February 2021, Biden told a South Carolina audience that "I had the great honor of being arrested with our U.N. ambassador on the streets of Soweto trying to get to see [Mandela] on Robbens [sic] Island."
In separate remarks the same month in Nevada, Biden said that in 1977 he "came back from South Africa, trying to see Nelson Mandela and getting arrested for trying to see him on Robbens [sic] Island."
Biden said that he was in Johannesburg during this time.
Days earlier, Biden said, also in Nevada, that "[Mandela] came to Washington and came to my office. He threw his arms around me and said, ’I want to say thank you.’ I said, ’What are you thanking me for, Mr. President?’ He said: ’You tried to see me. You got arrested trying to see me.'"
Biden spokeswoman Kate Bedingfield admitted to the Washington Post that the story was false and claimed Biden "was separated from the [Congressional Black Caucus] members he was traveling with at the airport, when he landed... It was a separation. He was not allowed to go through the same door as the rest of the party he was with."
But Bedingfield didn’t admit that Biden was in black-ruled Lesotho, rather than Apartheid South Africa, when he was allegedly stopped at an airport — earning further ridicule from Washington Post fact checker Glenn Kessler, who called the statement "puzzling."
"Obviously, this was apartheid South Africa," Bedingfield wrongly said in the statement. "There was a white door. There was a black door. He did not want to go through the white door, and have the rest of the party go to the black door. He was separated."
Biden himself sought to mop up his remarks during a CNN interview in 2020, but ended up further compounding factual issues.
"They had me get off a plane — the Afrikaners got on in the short pants and their guns. Led me off first and moved me in a direction totally different. I turned around and everybody, the entire black delegation, was going another way," Biden claimed to CNN. "I said, ’I’m not going to go in that door that says white only. I’m going with them.’ They said, ’You’re not, you can’t move, you can’t go with them.’ And they kept me there until finally I decided that it was clear I wasn’t going to move."
Former Rep. Don Bonker (D-Wash.), a Biden supporter who was on the same trip to Lesotho, told the Washington Post he had "no recollection at all" of Biden’s claims and "we had no problem with airports at any of the countries we visited" — and that Biden "wasn’t the only white guy on the trip."

[Restoring America] President Joe Biden made a big splash with his announcement of a $500 billion-plus student debt transfer.
In the weeks since the Aug. 24 move, the president has done his best not to disturb the political waters ahead of the midterm elections, barely mentioning the loan debt forgiveness plan.
Fulfilling a campaign promise and bowing to pressure from his party's left wing, Biden announced late last month that he would transfer $10,000 of student debt from borrowers to taxpayers for all but the highest income earners and would shift up to $20,000 per borrower for those who received Pell Grants.
But Biden has barely mentioned the program since. The last time he spoke about it in a speech was Aug. 25, just a day after the news broke, during a Democratic National Committee rally in highly educated Montgomery County, Maryland. He last spoke about student loans in any form on Sept. 6, mentioning the debt transfer along with a host of other programs as "proof that democracy can deliver for the people."
The president did not mention student loans during multiple campaign stops in Pennsylvania, a pair of speeches in Boston, a groundbreaking ceremony in Ohio, or in remarks at the Detroit Auto Show.
The silence comes as Democrats have gained traction in polls ahead of the midterm elections, when control of the House and Senate are at stake, along with 36 governorships and a slew of down-ballot offices.
Biden's disappearing debt pledge largely amounts to smart politics, argued former Pennsylvania Democratic Party Chairman T.J. Rooney.

Buttigieg was first elected mayor of South Bend in 2011 and was reelected in 2015. During his second term, he announced he was gay, which surprised no one. Buttigieg also campaigned for Indiana state treasurer in 2010 and for chair of the Democratic National Committee in 2017, losing both elections. He ran for the Dem nomination in 2020 on the theory that being mayor of a nondescript medium sized city is qualification to run the country. He lost that one too... to task on Friday for the Biden administration holding a celebration on the same day that a worse-than-expected August inflation report caused stocks to tank.
President Biden held a party on the White House’s South Lawn on Tuesday to celebrate passage of the Inflation Reduction Act. The event occurred even as the Dow Jones Industrial Average fell nearly 1,300 points in response to federal data showing prices jumped 8.3% in August.
Kernen initially asked Buttigieg whether he felt it was a "mistake" for the White House to hold the celebration — but he turned more aggressive when the Biden cabinet member argued the party was warranted because of the Democrat-backed legislation’s long-term benefits.
"On that day it looked really tone-deaf. What you’re telling me is, just stick to the script," Kernen said.

S far as the trains are concerned the 3 employyes I've talked to say they haven't been given all the information on what's in the deal. What they have been told they say it looks like the are getting screwed again.
