[ZERO] One political figure who weighed in was Donald Trump Jr., who recently campaigned with successful Republican Senate primary candidate J.D. Vance in Ohio.
"Looks like Joe is doing a great job of making inflation his top priority," he wrote in a tweet.
The Cook Inlet oil and gas lease would have covered 1.09 million acres in the Cook Inlet, a body of water connecting Anchorage with the Gulf of Alaska.
A spokesperson for the Department of the Interior told The Epoch Times the Cook Inlet sale was canceled due to a "lack of industry interest in the area."
"I’m not sure that’s completely accurate," Kara Moriarty, president and CEO of the Alaska Oil and Gas Association (AOGA), told The Epoch Times.
"A lot of times, companies don’t want to tip their hand about participating in lease sales. The only time you really know if there’s interest or not is when you have the lease sale."
"As the former Natural Resources Commissioner for Alaska, I know there is no way they could have confirmed ’no interest’ until they held the lease sale," said Sen. Dan Sullivan (R-Alaska), who said the Biden administration was "blatantly lying to the American people."
Both he and Moriarty referenced correspondence on the Cook Inlet sale from AOGA, which represents more than a dozen oil and gas producers in Alaska, as evidence of industry interest.
"The nature by which this announcement came to news—from the White House’s ultra-left climate czar Gina McCarthy, just down the hall from the president, [and] not the Department of Interior—raises further questions over who is crafting these disastrous energy policies," Sullivan said, referencing the accidental email to a CBS reporter from a Biden administration official that first revealed the Cook Inlet lease’s cancellation.

^ # 1 it is all based on supply and demand. So what Biden will next do ( guess what? make it worse!), is cap prices. Then supply chain shortages. So if you bid on a product to supply at $3.00 dollars and you are told you must sell it for $2.50, what would you do. You will not loose money. You will not provide product. This happens all the time in contract bidding prices. Product is back ordered or out of stock please reorder.

also the per acre lease and royalties on production are planned to go up soon
this makes any oil produced more expensive and less profitable

I'll bet on the company that thinks in geological time over the swamp creature who doesn't think past the next election.

The Obama/Biden plan to destroy the middle class is in full swing. ALL of Biden's actions fall in line with Obama's plans. They are back at it with a vengeance. We wont survive another 4 year of this.

The vast majority of gas stations are not owned by oil companies anyway. Right now we are having massive problems keeping the rigs we have running due to lack of spare parts and tool failures due to not enough back up tools in the pipeline. We literally CANNOT drill any faster than we are. One of our rigs had to wait -4- days for a cement crew. You cannot also train these people like jobs for McDonalds. Inexperience gets people killed and things blown up. There's no magic button to make the oilfield shutdown, go back to 800 rigs drilling and then back down to 200 again. I don't think there's 400 rigs in the US right now drilling and in 2011 we had 400 rigs in North Dakota alone.

fwiw, domestic oil production is up a bit from late Mar to early May from about 11.6m bpd to 11.9m bpd
needs to be about 16million bpd
oil increased from about 9m to 13m bpd during Trump

I saw that Congress recently voted to give themselves all Pelotons. The money would have been much better spent on economics textbooks.

All while Big Oil, Big Business...
Ah, this shit again.
Do you realize when you put half the small drillers out of business you make the remaining ones more powerful as far as the market goes? That you're not going to achieve any sort of equality by destroying an industry wholesale?

Nellie Ohr was hired as a contract agent by Fusion to work on the ’Trump Project’ assembling political opposition research that was later shared with another Fusion GPS contract employee, Christopher Steele, and compiled into the ’Steele Dossier’.
It always seemed sketchy that at the same time Nellie Ohr began communicating with Christopher Steele and other governmental participants associated with the Steele Dossier, May 2016, she applied for a Ham Radio License [FCC LINK]:

Sussmann trial begins on Monday for the same thing--lying to the FBI. Personally, I think these people are undercharged (Treason would be more appropriate).
[WashingtonExaminer] Marc Elias and Minyon Moore, two longtime allies of Bill and Crooked Hillary Clinton ...former first lady, former secretary of state, former presidential candidate, Conqueror of Benghazi, Heroine of Tuzla, formerly described by her supporters as the smartest woman in the world, usually described by the rest of us as The Thing That Wouldn't Go Away. Politix is not one of her talents, but it's something she keeps trying to do... who recently took up key roles with the national Black Lives Matter group, relinquished top spots with the embattled organization, according to new records filed just days before the group reveals what it did with the $90 million it raised in 2020.
Run away! Run away!
The Black Lives Matter Global Network Foundation revealed in February that the Elias Law Group, Elias's namesake law firm, had taken control of its books and finances. But Elias Law Group is nowhere to be found in BLM's latest registration filings submitted to Florida and Oklahoma on April 28, according to records obtained by the Washington Examiner.
[REDSTATE] In one of the most "wait, what?" moments of 2022, a top Democrat leader in the House has declared that the United States is currently at war. That’s not an exaggeration nor an uncharitable reading of the situation. Apparently, unbeknownst to the public on the lam, Congress and the White House have managed to enter into a war with Russia without going through any of the constitutional steps to do so.
Truly, nothing surprises me anymore.
Perhaps having an 82-year-old as the House Majority Leader isn’t that good of an idea? I’d like to think that someone with more cognitive capacity would at least couch their words instead of just blurting out that the country is at war, when it’s most certainly not at war. I’m probably being too kind to the rest of the Washington apparatchiks, though, by suspecting mental decline is at play here. After all, we’ve had multiple Republicans assert we are in a proxy war over the last few days.
Regardless, I think we all know what this is really about. Joe The Big Guy Biden ...46th president of the U.S. S Joe's wife and daughter weren't killed by a drunk driver. He didn't graduate with three or even two degrees, wasn't in the top half of his law class, and his daddy didn't come home from a hard day's work in the mines and play football with the guys. The NAACP hasn't endorsed him every time he's run.... ’s presidency is a disaster. Inflation is through the roof, the border is a crisis zone, and the sanctions that were put on Russia for invading Ukraine aren’t having their desired effect. Those realities have the Democrat Party barrelling toward an electoral cliff in November. What better way to try to turn things around than to start falsely proclaiming that Biden is a war-time president?
Steny Hoyer goes so far as to suggest that Biden shouldn’t be criticized during these supposedly trying times. It’s a strategy so overt and stupid that you almost have to respect the fact that Democrats are willing to try it. Putting economic sanctions on another country does not make a president a war-time president. The same is true for giving lethal weapons to another nation while it does all the fighting. If those were the standards, essentially every president has been a war-time president, at least since the turn of the 20th century.
Come on, no one is buying this, right? I know pretending Biden is something he’s not is kind of a trend on the left, but there’s just no chance this attempt to make him into a war-time president works. Further, it risks a backlash from war-weary Americans who want to help Ukraine but might not take too kindly to the government once again shipping billions in unchecked dollars overseas.
Unfortunately, Republicans are playing right into this Democrat ploy by full-throatily supporting the $40 billion slush fund bill, which is currently on hold in the Senate. Sen. Rand Paul has stood alone trying to put boundaries on the spending package (he wants an amendment that will make the money accountable to the inspector general), and GOP leaders have lambasted those who’ve expressed skepticism. The uni-party is back, and it’s the same as the old uni-party.

We actually had a declaration of war/authorization to use force when Bush II was playing world power and lo and behold these same cretins had no problem to constantly engage in criticism of the man.
