Rochester mayor's husband part of 'mid-level' drug ring, officials say
More on this story from yesterday.
[NYPOST] The husband of Rochester Mayor Lovely Warren was allegedly peddling cocaine as part of a "mid-level" drug ring in the city, officials said Thursday.

New York State Police took Timothy Granison into custody Wednesday evening after executing a search warrant at a home on Woodman Park that the 42-year-old shares with Warren and their daughter.

Granison pleaded not guilty
"Wudn't me."
Thursday morning to two counts of felony drug possession charges, including intent to sell, and a felony count of gun possession, the Rochester City Newspaper reported.

Court documents allege Granison had 31 grams of coke and an unregistered firearm in the house, according to the Democrat and Chronicle.

He was released on his own recognizance with a future court date, the outlet reported.

Authorities said Granison was busted after an extensive sting operation that spanned seven months and led to the seizure of 2 kilos of powdered and crack cocaine, valued around $60,000, three guns and more than $100,000.

State Police also raided six other properties Wednesday, including a home belonging to Granison’s brother, Kevin.

Granison has an armed robbery conviction from 1997. He was sentenced to five years’ probation, the Democrat and Chronicle reported.

Monroe County District Attorney Sandra Doorley told news hounds after Granison’s arraignment that more arrests were in the works.

#5  Actually, if presidents could run for more than two terms, Reagan would have easily taken three, maybe four terms (can't remember when his Alzheimers came out). Also, Bill Clinton probably could have won at least three terms.
Of course, teh country would have been much worse off after three terms of Clinton.

Government Corruption
Florida Private Jet Scandal Threatens Gretchen Whitmer's Political Future
[BREITBART] Dishonesty and hypocrisy surrounding Michigan Gov. Gretchen Whitmer
...Her Excellency, the dictator of Michigan, 2020 Dem VP contender...
’s (D) secret "personal" trip to Florida are threatening the one-time rising star’s political future.

Like other Democrat governors, Whitmer opted to impose harsh restrictions in an attempt to deal with the coronavirus (aka COVID19 or Chinese Plague)
...the twenty first century equivalent of bubonic plague, only instead of killing off a third of the population of Europe it kills 3.4 percent of those who notice they have it. It seems to be fond of the elderly, especially Iranian politicians and holy men...
in 2020. After a spike in cases towards the end of the year, she reimposed many orders through her Department of Health and Human Services after her executive orders were ruled unconstitutional in October.

In early April 2021, as coronavirus variants were growing around the country, Whitmer warned Michiganders not to go to Florida for spring break.

But what she did not say at the time was that on a Friday morning, March 12, the governor who previously was on Joe The Big Guy Biden
...46th president of the U.S., father of Hunter...
’s shortlist for vice president, took an unannounced trip to Florida for four days. She returned Monday evening, March 15. Whitmer was not fully vaccinated against Covid-19 at the time of the trip.

After news stories broke (including one reported exclusively by Breitbart News) that two of Whitmer’s top aides traveled to Florida and Alabama for spring break, Whitmer’s office admitted to MIRS
...the Internal Revenue Service; that office of the United States government that collects taxes and persecutes the regime's political enemies...
News on April 19 that the governor had traveled to Florida for "personal" reasons, a key claim that would complicate her future attempted explanations about the trip.

Whitmer’s office also said that she traveled "at her own expense," another claim that would be questioned after later versions of the story emerged.

Two days after the initial story broke, Whitmer continued to use her father’s health as the excuse for the trip, claiming that she went to Florida to tend to his needs and "did a lot of cooking, a lot of cleaning." The governor’s father, Richard Whitmer, is a former chief executive of the Blue Cross/Blue Shield of Michigan insurance company who collected over $1.5 million in compensation in 2002, according to a 2003 MIRS News story. The elder Whitmer owns a property in West Palm Beach, Florida, tax records show.

It is not clear exactly what the nature of her father’s immediate medical emergency was which required the unvaccinated governor to travel to Florida. In fact, not long after the news broke about the Florida trip, the governor’s father was spotted in Lansing, Michigan, shopping and driving alone in his Tesla vehicle.

"It’s maddening," the governor said of the mounting criticism and allegations of hypocrisy about her Florida trip, adding, "A lot of these same people would accuse me of not having family values if I didn’t show up when a family member needed some help."

Critics have pointed to Whitmer’s "hypocrisy" on the issue, after she prevented countless families from helping their elders in Michigan nursing homes during her mandated lockdowns.

"It was certainly not spring break," she said. "I was doing both my job as governor from a distance and being that of a daughter who was helping out a parent who needed a little help."

Democrats and Their Accomplices Are Worried About the Presidential Election in Arizona, But the Senate Is On the Line As Well
[THEGATEWAYPUNDIT] The audit in Arizona may upend the 2020 Presidential election but it could reshape the US Senate as well.

Let’s not forget, the audit in Arizona covers both the Presidential race and the Senate race. In November, Democrat Kelly beat Republican McSally by 78,806 votes statewide.

In Maricopa County the total difference between candidates is about the same amount with the Democrat winning by 80,183 votes:

Therefore, if the audit shows that McSally won Maricopa County, then she would win the state as well.

There’s little information out there related to a situation where fraud or errors were discovered that lead to a change of winners in a US Senate race. However,
if you can't be a good example, then you'll just have to be a horrible warning...
we expect that if fraud was the reason for the difference with reality, then the seat would go to the winner per the legitimate audit.

There is some information on what to do when a Senate seat becomes vacant (but this doesn’t involve fraud being the reason for the vacancy):

Senate seats become vacant for a variety of reasons — the Senator dies in office, resigns in disgrace or resigns to assume another position

Chris Cuomo proves that nothing will get you fired from CNN if you're liberal
[NYPOST] If there’s an ethics watchdog at CNN
...formerly the Cable News Network, now who knows what it might stand for...
, he must be as dead as Old Yeller. If there’s a referee making sure CNN employees play by the rules, his vision is about as reliable as Oedipus’s. We know that CNN is capable of firing conservatives, since they axed commentator Jeffrey Lord for making a joke suggesting his opponents were Nazis. But if you’re a Democrat, is there any level of ethical transgression that might cost you a gig at CNN?

Conservatives have long complained that CNN is a propaganda organ of the Democratic Party. It’s no longer possible for the network to deny this, now that we know that Chris Cuomo, one of its prime-time anchors, is also a member of Andrew Sonny Cuomo
...Dem dynastic governor of Noo Yawk, the son and heir of the late Mario Cuoma and formerly married to a Kennedy. Acclaimed for his leadership during the COVID epidemic, he managed the nation's highest corpse count while successfully hiding the returns. Among the nation's horniest politicians, he has about a dozen allegations of sexual harrassment and groping against him. Noo Yawk's politix being what they are, he is still hanging tough, waiting to ride it out....
’s crisis-management team, taking part in strategy sessions this year with the governor’s aides, flacks and lawyers as the Perv of Albany tried to figure out how to survive all the sexual-harassment charges against him.

Chris’s genius idea was for Andrew to claim he was taking a brave stand against "cancel culture," which is the kind of brainiac suggestion that earned him the nickname Fredo.

NY Post coverSome CNN staffers have been critical of Chris Cuomo’s interactions with his brother.

Recall that Chris humbly told his viewers in March that he couldn’t report on the charges against his brother because that would be a conflict of interest. What was not a conflict of interest was pulling the stunt — one year ago this week — of using a giant nasal swab as part of a prop-comedy routine designed to make his brother likable.

The Cuomo Nepotism Network acknowledged Chris’s membership in Cuomo’s war room, said meekly that this was "inappropriate" but added that he will not be disciplined in any way.

Which, to be honest, is about the same thing we’re (eventually) going to hear from Albany Democrats after they complete their geriatric-turtle-speed "investigation" (read: delaying tactic) into the claims against Andrew Cuomo. So many genuine and shocking scandals are pending against this corrupt granny-killing lech that CNN could spend 24 hours a day reporting on it, if it were interested in reporting actual abuses of power rather than in emoting about the significance of the scramble for the third-highest-position among the minority party in the House of Representatives.

For months Chris Cuomo regaled his viewers with undisguised PR stunts on his brother’s behalf while Andrew was repaying the favor by sending a high-ranking health official out to his house in the Hamptons to give him then-scarce COVID tests, then having state police rush the results to the lab in Albany and jump the queue with them. Now he is like a toddler who has cookie jars stuck on both wrists who says, "What are you gonna do about it?" He has no defense whatsoever.

CNN’s failure to punish him for grossly unethical behavior can only mean that it believes ethical standards simply don’t apply to Democrats. Which we kinda figured out from watching their programming.

The real Joe Biden stands up — again
[AMERICANTHINKER] Our current situation, threatening as it is to all we hold dear as Americans, is not in any way comfortable. That said, it offers benefits. One of them is this: People are revealing themselves for who they are. Gone are the days of obfuscation, moderation, and triangulation. If you’re running for my school board, for example, I want to know where you stand on critical race theory. In other words, whether you’re out to destroy my children. Leave that off your Candidate’s Position Statement, and the rest of it isn’t helpful.

The Office Holder Formerly Known as Joe The Big Guy Biden
...46th president of the U.S. You're a lyin' dog-faced pony soldier...
told anyone still harboring doubts all they needed to know about him in half an hour Wednesday.

He addressed the graduates of the Coast Guard Academy, an elite group of 200, chosen from over 3000 who apply. For four years, they study science, warfare, and how to sail a tall ship. Thirty-five percent are women. I wager all are indeed the "fierce patriots" Biden called them in his speech.

They listened politely as Biden did four things in rapid succession that revealed his character and fitness to lead. Spoiler alert: he can claim neither.

He could not recall the name of the Coast Guard Commander. No doubt teleprompters were in place, as usual, and perhaps an earpiece, too, but it was beyond him. He turned away from the microphone for help, then uttered a few garbled syllables. This comes as no surprise to anyone who has observed his remarkable cognitive decline.

He borrowed without accreditation a longstanding quote about the Coast Guard; namely, that it is "the hard nucleus around which the Navy forms in time of war." Doing so was a bad idea for a politician known for shameless plagiarism. Ronald Reagan and Dick Cheney both used the quote in speeches, with greater care about its source.

Unlike them, Biden bungled the quote. His truncated rendition made little sense. Did he even grasp its meaning? Like Ron Burgundy, he reads whatever is on the teleprompter, but a missing word or two ruins the punchline, as any comedian will tell you.

Done correctly, the old jab at the Navy, a far larger branch of the service, is very much an inside joke, one that is mildly funny to an audience of Coast Guard Ensigns, if even to them. Biden’s misread version made no sense. It got no laughs and no applause.

And that is when the real Joe Biden stood up. Like a bombing third-rate comic, he heckled the audience. "You’re a really dull class," he began. "C’mon, man. Is the sun getting to you?"

Defenders will claim he was kidding. He wasn’t. As professional joke-teller Ellen DeGeneres once put it, "If you were, we’d both be laughing." New Englanders of a previous generation have a term for it: "Half in jest, all in earnest." His mean streak was showing.

Leftists like Biden desperately want to be liked, despite their contempt for half their fellow citizens. They can hardly believe we don’t all fawn over them as the sycophants in their entourages and the toadies in the media do.

In this respect, they lack the unvarnished honesty of tyrants like Stalin, who knew they were hated and feared, and enjoyed it. It was the price of the power they prized above all else.

To the extent that his thoughts are still his own, Joe Biden despises the values of every "fierce patriot" in his Coast Guard commencement audience and the values of the families who raised them to serve their nation. Nonetheless, he can’t seem to figure out why they wouldn’t want to pose for a picture with him.

Like the vampires of legend, today’s Left can’t stand the sight of a mirror. We know who they are, and how they feel about us. They would rather not be reminded.

Kirsten Gillibrand 'definitely' wants to run for president again
I think it’s a wonderful way for rich Progressives to harmlessly dissipate some of their excess cash.
[NYPOST] Sen. Kirsten Gillibrand
...Machine non-entity selected to become the successor to Hillary Clinton as Senatrix-for-Life from Noo Yawk. She is running for the Dem presidential nomination in 2020. She has no observable principles, will apparently say anything to anyone, and seemingly lacks any personality of her own....
wants to make another run for the White House, she said in a report published Thursday.

"I definitely want to run for president again," the New York Democrat told Politico.

Gillibrand, 54, was one of a crowded field of Democrats who were looking for the party’s nod to run against President Donald Trump
...New York real estate developer, described by Dems as illiterate, racist, misogynistic, and whatever other unpleasant descriptions they can think of, elected by the rest of us as 45th President of the United States...
in 2020.

"I learned so much on that campaign: about myself, about the country, about how to be successful as a politician," she added.
"Infrastructure is childcare"
"I became a much better speaker and became better at my job."

One of her memorable moments in her first came bid came during a televised debate when she was asked what her first act as president would be.

"So the first thing that I’m going to do when I’m president — is I’m going to Clorox the Oval Office," she said.

She officially launched her campaign in March 2019 but dropped out five months later after failing to gain traction in fundraising and hit polls that threatened to leave her out of future debates. She eventually got behind Joe The Big Guy Biden
...46th president of the U.S. The very model of probity....
with an endorsement.

Gillibrand was the first Senate Democrat to call for Sen. Al Franken to resign amid #metoo allegations — a move she doesn’t regret even if some of her colleagues do, she told Politico.

Federal Judge Sides With Biden, Rules Christian College Must Allow Biological Men To Share Showers With Women
[DAILYCALLER] A federal judge ruled Wednesday that students of the opposite biological sex must be allowed to share shower spaces and dorms at a Christian college in Missouri.

Judge Roseann Ketchmark
... nominated by President Obama — twice — she was confirmed as a federal judge in 2015. Fortunately first the US District Court of Appeals, then the Supreme court can decide to overrule her...
of the District Court of Western Missouri ruled against the College of the Ozarks, a Christian college which had sued President Joe The Big Guy Biden
...46th president of the U.S. Sleazy Dem mschine politician, paterfamilias of the Biden Crime Family...
’s administration over its transgender discrimination policies, lawyers representing the school said Wednesday evening. The college had challenged Biden over his Jan. 20 executive order, which prevented schools from denying children access to bathrooms of their choosing.

"Women shouldn’t be forced to share private spaces, including showers and dorm rooms with males, and religious schools shouldn’t be punished simply because of their beliefs about biological sex," Julie Marie Blake, senior counsel for the Alliance Defending Freedom (ADF), told news hounds following the ruling Wednesday evening.

"The Biden administration’s overreach continues to victimize women, girls and people of faith by gutting their legal protections, and it must be stopped," she continued.

On crime, Eric Adams remains head and shoulders above the mayoral pack
[NYPOST] New York City’s crime wave is getting worse each day and night. Wednesday night alone, two people were killed and at least nine others injured, as blood-soaked violence stretched across the city. Seven of the injured were hit by gunfire, including an 8-year-old boy; two were stabbed and two others slashed in the subway.

Not to mention the elderly woman assaulted while leaving a bus.

As the body count rises, Eric Adams
... currently the Brooklyn Borough president, which gives him useful experience...
remains the only mayoral candidate to make fighting crime and restoring public safety central themes of his campaign. Most of the rest dodge — or insist that policing isn’t the answer.

His chief rival, Andrew Yang
...Former 2020 Democratic presidential candidate. Unlike most of the other Dem 2020 candidates, he actually did things besides politix in his adult life, which made him political poison. He worked in startups and early-stage growth companies as a founder or executive from 2000 to 2009. After he founded Venture for America, the Obama administration selected him in 2012 as a Champion of Change and in 2015 as a Presidential Ambassador for Global Entrepreneurship. His signature campaign policy is what he calls the Freedom Dividend, a form of Universal Basic Income for every American over 18. Yang believes UBI is a necessary response to the rapid development of automation that is leading to workforce challenges. The other two central elements of Yang's platform are Medicare for All and Human-Centered Capitalism....
, is looking completely clueless: On Thursday, he flubbed responses to questions about the state’s repeal of 50a, a law that shielded police disciplinary records from the public, and on the city’s overbroad law criminalizing not just chokeholds but many other police restraints. He needed a handler to whisper the answers to him.

The victims of this violence are predominantly poor and minority. They and their survivors don’t need lefties like Scott Stringer or Maya Wiley droning on about root causes without giving any solutions to the mayhem now.

All New Yorkers deserve to be safe in their homes and in public. Eric Adams gets that. He knows that New York City’s economic comeback begins with public safety and aims to target criminals, not all young men — and to help potential gangbangers make different and better choices.

Adams is by far the best bet not only to work for safe streets, but to deliver them.

Don't believe the spin: The GOP still has the upper hand
[NYPOST] Republicans have had a brutal news cycle over the past month, between the ouster of Liz Cheney from leadership and the intraparty jousting over a Jan. 6 commission.

The overwhelming sense of the coverage is that the party is descending into madness and civil war and is a husk of its former self.

There’s no denying that much of the party has been too willing to indulge or look away from wild theories about the 2020 election and the Capitol riot, but this shouldn’t obscure the fact that the Republicans are well-positioned to take the House next year.

All indications are that GOP voters are united and energized and the party is doing what’s necessary to make Kevin McCarthy the next speaker, which would instantly squash the never-very-plausible talk of President Joe Biden being the next FDR.

The foundation of the party’s unity, of course, is that Donald Trump effortlessly maintained his control of the GOP. The anticipated civil war came and went with barely a shot fired.

Cheney is certainly a casualty, although she is now less a leader of a significant faction of the party and more a voice crying in the wilderness. That is an honorable role, and she may well be vindicated in the fullness of time.

But the party will pay no electoral price for the drama over her leadership role or, likely, for its continued loyalty to Trump.

Despite Trump’s grip, he’s not front and center for average voters. He isn’t president and he isn’t on the ballot. The focus inevitably will be on Biden and his agenda, which will loom larger than anything the former president can do from Mar-a-Lago.

The Democratic polling outfit Democracy Corps just did a battleground survey that confirmed this picture. As Stanley Greenberg writes in a memo about the poll, among Republicans, “the percent scoring 10, the highest level of interest in the election, has fallen from 84 to 68 percent. But Democrats’ engagement fell from 85 percent to 57 percent.”

More evidence is the boffo fundraising by the National Republican Congressional Committee so far. Meanwhile, GOP candidate recruitment is ahead of the pace of prior midterm cycles, whereas Democrats are seeing worrisome retirements.

It’s not as though there’s a high bar for the GOP. Republicans need to flip only six seats in the House, when in the post-World War II era the president’s party has lost on average 27 seats in midterms.

On top of this, the playing field is tilting the GOP’s way. Reapportionment gave more seats to Republican states, and, based on its strength in state legislatures, the GOP also has the upper hand in redistricting.

The Biden theory is that $6 trillion in spending will deliver a roaring economy that diminishes any midterm losses. But the latest jobs and inflation numbers show that it might not be so simple, and there is considerable doubt Biden can get his spending.

Greenberg derives some comfort from his belief that in contrast to 2020, “this time, Democrats cannot fail to see how early Trump’s party is fully engaged with its ongoing culture war, focused on crime, open borders, and defunding the police.”

Yet there is no indication of any serious effort to defuse these issues. Biden’s polices have needlessly created a crisis at the border, and murder rates continue to climb in major cities, even as much of the left still talks of the police as if it’s a racist occupying force.

There are miles to go before November 2022. Biden might find a way to thread the needle of cooperating with Republicans on infrastructure and police reform without alienating his own base, and unforeseen events always take a hand.

But the story of 2021 is not a Republican meltdown. Despite what you read, the party stands a good chance to end its bout in the wilderness after just two years.

#1  All the GOP needs to do is simply stop supporting the extreme leftists and their agenda, stand strong against the political maneuvering Pelosi is doing with political witch hunts disguised as "investigations", and let the leftists self-destruct as they are doing already. Oh, and start calling out the leftist press ride right over them (Like Gov Desantis does) and call out corporate wimps who bend the knee with "cancel culture" for them.

New York's pro-Israel Dems bullied into silence by AOC, Jewish activists say

Judge Orders Physical Review of Fulton County Ballots – Expert Witness Testified High Percentage Discrepancy in Ballot Batches
[Conservative Treehouse] There are approximately ten plaintiffs in an ongoing lawsuit about the election and ballot tabulation in Fulton County (Atlanta), Georgia. The state and local officials had been denying access to the physical ballots, only permitting a review of low resolution scanned images. However, an expert testified a disparity of approximately 21% (of those "low resolution" absentee ballot batches) from what the state reported to what the auditors were able to see. A large number of the scanned ballots appear to have been counted twice.

The only way to really tell if any of the batches contained duplicated or photocopied ballots would be to look at the physical ballots (preferred) or to look at high-resolution images of the physical ballots.

Today a Georgia judge agreed to allow the plaintiffs to review the physical ballots in a process yet determined (future order forthcoming). The custody of the ballots will remain under the control of the Fulton County election officials, but the auditors will be permitted access to them. This could be significant as there are 145,000 specific Fulton County absentee ballots at issue.

Israel-Palestine-Jordan
HAMAS CAUCUS: Rep. Pocan: Iron Dome Means Israel Shouldn't Fight Back
[FRONTPAGEMAG] The Hamas, the braying voice of Islamic Resistance®, Caucus of the Democrats has been in a sharp race to the bottom with bad takes outstripping bad takes.

No one, including AOC, may ever be able to top this tweet from Kansas State Rep Aaron Coleman, (Rose Twitter) "In my humble progressive Jewish opinion: Israel has forfeited the right to Independence. Walking into mosques and killing unarmed people is another war crime committed by this apartheid genocidal nation. The solution: full embargo of Israel until they join U.S as 51st state."

Rep. Mark Pocan, (House Democrat - unfortunately) whose shtick has been hating Israel long before the Squad ever got here has been trying.

"I’ve always supported the Iron Dome. Because the idea is when a missile comes in, if you take it out, no one’s been killed on either side, and there’s de-escalation," Pocan argued. "If you use it for that purpose, then you still send 20 times the number of missiles back, that’s not the intention."

According to Pocan, the Iron Dome defense system should be used as a passive defense system that eliminates the need to fight back.

The Iran
...a theocratic Shiite state divided among the Medes, the Persians, and the (Arab) Elamites. Formerly a fairly civilized nation ruled by a Shah, it became a victim of Islamic revolution in 1979. The nation is today noted for spontaneously taking over other countries' embassies, maintaining whorehouses run by clergymen, involvement in international drug trafficking, and financing sock puppet militias to extend the regime's influence. The word Iran is a cognate form of Aryan. The abbreviation IRGC is the same idea as Stürmabteilung (or SA). The term Supreme Guide is a the modern version form of either Duce or Führer or maybe both. They hate Jews Zionists Jews. Their economy is based on the production of oil and vitriol...
Lobby and the Moslem Brüderbund may not have troubled to inform Pocan that rockets still get through and Israelis, including children, have died.

A passive defense system stops some attacks, but it doesn't eliminate the need to stop the attacks at the source.

Pocan's argument is that a cop with a bulletproof vest doesn't need to shoot the guy who's firing at him. And I'm sure the police defunders will make that argument soon enough.

Biden tries to claim credit for cease-fire between Israel and Hamas
The poor man is senile — yesterday is much too long ago for him to remember properly.
[FOXNEWS] President Joe Biden
...... 46th president of the U.S. We hold these truths to be self-evident. All men and women created ... by the — you know — you know, the thing......
sought to take credit for a cease-fire Thursday between Israel and Hamas, one of the armed feet of the Moslem Brüderbund millipede,, despite reports that it was Egypt that brokered the peace.

Biden, who spoke at the White House, included a sentence in his remarks commending Egyptian officials for their "critical role" in ending the fighting. But he repeatedly emphasized the intensive work he said was done by his own administration.

"Over the last 11 days, I spoke with the prime minister six times. I've also spoken with President Abbas and the Paleostinian Authority more the once and part of our intense diplomatic engagement," Biden said, "And I want to also thank secretary of state, the secretary of defense, our national security adviser, and everyone on our team for their incredible efforts to bring this about, this outcome that we're about to see.

"You know, we've held intensive, high-level discussions, hour by hour, literally, Egypt, the Paleostinian Authority and other Middle Eastern countries, with an aim of avoiding this sort of prolonged conflict we've seen in previous years when the hostilities have broken out."

Biden vowed to help Israel replenish its Iron Dome system and to work with the Paleostinian Authority to rebuild Gazoo
...Hellhole adjunct to Israel and Egypt's Sinai Peninsula, inhabited by Gazooks. The place was acquired in the wake of the 1967 War and then presented to Paleostinian control in 2006 by Ariel Sharon, who had entered his dotage. It periodically attacks the Hated Zionist Entity whenever Iran needs a ruckus created or the hard boyz get bored, getting thumped by the IDF in return. Biden said he’d spoken with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu on the cease-fire and commended him on his decision to bring hostilities to a close.

"The United States fully supports Israel's right to defend itself against indiscriminate rocket attacks from Hamas," Biden said.

They wanted to continue a colony world. This against direct orders from MacArthur and the USA not to do so. Then, even after using the surrendered Japanese Army to fight slipped out to battle in Malay (before it was Malaysia) leaving a hot war for the French and later USA.

#3  Ho wanted U.S. help to get the French out of Vietnam after WWI. He didn't get it so later he went to the Russians. They wouldn't help, either. After WWII he again went to the U.S. but Truman wouldn't help because Ho had been in contact with the Russians.

#4  ...The British and French knew full well that FDR - had he lived - would have stomped hard on any effort to reboot their respective empires. They also knew that Harry Truman, though not sympathetic, had other priorities and let them try and do it. That's no reflection on HST, by the by, he just felt that there were other things that we needed to worry about first and as long as it was their troops doing the fighting, it was fine.
