Detention ordered for suspect in chemical spraying of US Capitol officers
[AlAhram] Prosecutors also said they had reason to believe that Tanios' mother would try to help her son flee the country to her native Leb
...an Iranian colony situated on the eastern Mediterranean, conveniently adjacent to Israel. Formerly inhabited by hardy Phoenecian traders, its official language is now Arabic, with the usual unpleasant side effects. The Leb civil war, between 1975 and 1990, lasted a little over 145 years and produced 120,000 fatalities. The average length of a ceasefire was measured in seconds. The Lebs maintain a precarious sectarian balance among Shiites, Sunnis, and about a dozeen flavors of Christians. It is the home of Hezbollah, which periodically starts a war with the Zionist Entity, gets Beirut pounded to rubble, and then declares victory and has a parade. The Lebs have the curious habit of periodically murdering their heads of state or prime ministers...
if he is released from custody. The mother denied the claim in court

A judge in West Virginia ordered U.S. Capitol riots suspect George Pierre Tanios detained on charges he conspired with a friend to assault three coppers with chemical spray, including one officer who later died.

The Purge continues.
[Gateway Pundit] Mark Ibrahim went to listen to President Trump speak at the Ellipse in Washington DC on January 6. He drove a friend to the rally. After the president spoke Mark went to the US Capitol where he filmed the uprising. Mark did not enter the US Capitol. He stayed outside and filmed the chaos. He was fired anyway.

Mark joined Tucker Carlson on Tuesday to tell his story.

On his flight back to LA after the event he had his gun taken away from him. Mark was escorted back to his apartment like a criminal. The DEA has since fired him.

Cigna Responds to Claims That It Excludes White Men in the Hiring Process
[PJMEDIA] According to an explosive report from The Washington Examiner, one of the nation’s largest health insurance providers actively discriminates against white males in hiring and pushes Marxist critical race theory on its staff. Cigna reportedly urges staff to check various kinds of "privilege," to avoid using terms like "Wives/husband," and to read books that claim America is systemically racist. In a statement to PJ Media, Cigna condemned racism and discrimination and insisted its positions were open to qualified applicants, regardless of race. The company did explicitly deny using racial quotas or address claims about its training materials.

"Given the hiring practices they have in place where white, male candidates are blocked, regardless of qualifications, I have to say, ’Yes, there’s obvious discrimination at this company,'" an anonymous employee told the Washington Examiner.

In chat logs reviewed by the Examiner, a hiring manager rejected a candidate with strong credentials who had performed well in an interview — because the hiring manager mistakenly thought the candidate was white. An employee corrected the manager, noting that the candidate was indeed a minority, and then the manager said she was excited to hire him, despite learning almost nothing else about his background.

An employee also suggested a candidate with years of industry experience, but the hiring manager said the candidate, a white man, could not be interviewed because he did not meet the diversity criteria.

Some employees told the Examiner that these racial quotas often translate to an inability to fill jobs in departments focused on tech or data. "I can’t fill these jobs," an employee said.

#3  About that list: The Spice House belongs to Bill Penzey’s family — founded by his parents, now run by his sister and her husband. They are the original of which Penzey’s is a pale, horribly politicized imitation. When I got tired of young Mr. Penzey repeatedly forcing his politics into my email In box, I found The Spice House, whose very nice phone clerk promised me solemnly that as a matter of company policy they would never be in any way political, and mentioned in passing that I was their nth refugee from Bill P’s politics that week. Highly recommended.

-Signs, Portents, and the Weather-
Fed Creates Second Climate Committee
[Washington Examiner] The Federal Reserve has created a new climate committee to address the risks climate change poses to financial stability.

The new effort, called the Financial Stability Climate Committee, will draw from expertise across the Federal Reserve system and is intended to tackle risks to the broader financial system, said Lael Brainard, a member of the Federal Reserve's board of governors.

The committee comes in addition to the Fed's creation of a separate climate initiative earlier this year, the Supervision Climate Committee, that is focusing more closely on ensuring individual financial firms that the Fed oversees are prepared for climate-related risks.

Other than that, resilience to weather-related problems is probably a good thing, unless they prescribe getting rid of personal cars and heating and air conditioning our homes to prevent an imaginary global warming tipping point.

#4  Metro Detroit is a funny place. Some places a mere 5 miles apart are paying 40 or 50 cents different for gas. I can still get it for 2.45 at some stations. Other places, I would pay $2.99 for credit (ten cents less for cash). It's moronic. But I guess there must be some reason for it.

Democrats Want to Destroy the Plastics Industry
[BattleswarmBlog] Congressional Democrats are offering up a bill whose effects will be to destroy the American plastics industry and drive manufacturing to China:
Nothing says "For the American Worker" like destroying U.S. industry and putting thousands of people out of work.
Republican lawmakers are raising concerns that provisions in the sweeping climate bill from top House Democrats would stifle the plastics industry.

One late addition to the nearly 1,000-page piece of legislation, known as the CLEAN Future Act, is meant to curb greenhouse gas emissions and air pollution emitted from the petrochemical facilities that produce plastics or the raw materials used to make plastics.

Most significantly, the bill would impose a temporary pause on air pollution permits needed for approval of new plastics production facilities.

The legislation also directs the Environmental Protection Agency to issue new greenhouse gas and air pollution controls for these facilities within three years, including requiring plastics production plants to use zero-emissions power and improve emissions monitoring.
There is no such thing as zero emissions.
Buy into our green energy graft or we won’t let you do business.

VP Kamala Harris is hosting an event on 'empowering women' featuring Bill Clinton!
[Daily Caller] Vice President Kamala Harris and former President Bill Clinton will be speaking together at an event Friday hosted by the Clinton Foundation on the topic of empowering women in the United States and around the world.

The Clinton Global Initiative (CGI) event will feature the two speaking one-on-one and will focus on the challenges that women have had to endure during the coronavirus pandemic, and how to empower women throughout the world.

Harris is set to speak with Clinton despite the former president having faced allegations of rape and sexual assault from multiple women spanning decades.

Clinton was also close associates with convicted pedophile and sex-trafficking billionaire Jeffrey Epstein. Clinton has remained largely silent regarding the flights that he took on Epstein’s private jet, which reportedly offered passengers young girls for sex.

In January 2020, the U.S. Sun published an article that showed a photo of Clinton standing on Epstein’s plane with a young girl, Chauntae Davies, who is mentioned by the Sun to have been Epstein’s "sex slave." Additional photos of the president with Epstein’s victims, including one of Clinton receiving a shoulder rub, have since been leaked.

Congress to grill US internet giants over disinformation
[France24] The heads of Facebook, Google and Twitter will testify before Congress Thursday on disinformation, following a tense US election, Capitol attack and rise of a new administration seemingly intent on doing battle with Big Tech.

The remote video hearing will be the fourth for Facebook's Mark Zuckerberg and Twitter's Jack Dorsey since last July and the third for Google's Sundar Pichai: evidence of how the companies' vast economic and political power has landed them squarely in the crosshairs of Democrats and Republicans alike.

"Whether it be falsehoods about the Covid-19 vaccine or debunked claims of election fraud, these online platforms have allowed misinformation to spread, intensifying national crises with real-life, grim consequences for public health and safety," said the heads of the two Congressional subcommittees holding the hearing, in a statement.

A recent backlash against the tech behemoths, which dominate key economic sectors, has intensified as their influence has grown during the coronavirus pandemic.

"I don't expect more than theater" at the hearing, said analyst Carolina Milanesi of market research firm Creative Strategies.

"It's still politics and you are still going to have the whole Republicans-versus-Democrats and free speech coming into play."

US President Joe Biden this week named a prominent advocate of breaking up Big Tech firms, Lina Khan, to head the Federal Trade Commission, in a move suggesting an aggressive posture on antitrust enforcement.

Democrat Senator Duckworth REFUSES to vote for any more WHITE nominees from Plugs
[Right Scoop] An Asian-American Democratic Senator is now saying she’s a no vote to all Biden nominees who are white:

ROLL CALL —
Sen. Tammy Duckworth is pressuring President Joe Biden to step up Asian American and Pacific Islander representation in top positions of the administration, saying Tuesday that she will not vote for any future nominees who are white and straight until the situation is addressed to her satisfaction.

"I am a no vote on the floor, on all non-diversity nominees. You know, I will vote for racial minorities and I will vote for LGBTQ, but anybody else I’m not voting for," she told reporters.

"I am not going to be voting for any nominee from the White House, other than diversity nominees, probably a no on everyone until they figure this out," said Duckworth, one of only two Asian Americans in the Senate.

She’s mad at the White House because they told her she’s got Kamala...

Duckworth said the White House has pointed to Vice President Kamala Harris, whose mother was an Indian immigrant and father is Black, as an example of high-ranking and extremely visible Asian American representation.

"To be told that, ’Well, you have Kamala Harris, we’re very proud of her, you don’t need anybody else’ is insulting," said Duckworth.

She said her frustration with the situation and White House response escalated during Monday night’s virtual retreat of the Senate Democratic caucus.

"Multiple times I’ve heard that. And that is not something you would say to the Black caucus: ’Well, you have Kamala, we’re not going to put any more African Americans in the Cabinet because you have Kamala.’ Why would you say it to AAPI?" she said.

So much for Martin Luther King Jr.’s call for people to be judged by the content of their character.

I get she wants more diverse nominees from the Biden White House — identity politics is what Democrats do. But to say she’s not voting for anyone who isn’t a racial minority or an LGBTQer really sounds like she’s saying STOP NOMINATING WHITE PEOPLE! How racist of her.

Seriously, flip the roles and have a Republican saying the opposite of what Duckworth is saying and watch what happens. Mayhem.

#2  I first noted the peculiar article a few days back about the dismissal of WH staff who had been former Obama staffers and who were told to be candid about drug use and then were subsequently just told to leave. In parallel there was the noted about the debacle meeting by SecState with the ChiComs where the WH blasted him for bring a key staffer to the table with purple hair.
Since I have been clear from the beginning of this national travesty that Bidet was a facade for the Marxists over on Kalorama, I found those snippets odd and seemingly inconsistent.
Then discussions here about Dr Edith Bidet and the rush to get things done to enrich the Bidet family before the "Big Guy" was pushed out of office came to mind. The ChairForce One trip seemed to merely confirm that the time was coming even faster than imagined.
Then, today, Second Secretary Harris announced a conference with BillyJeff Clinton and the Clinton Global Grifting Conglomerate on "Empowering Women" and I got a sense that the Presidium power struggle was entering a new phase, Harris/Clinton aligning against the Puppet Master Obama/ValJar for control of the looting and loyalty of the major players in the Central Committee. The Harris Cinton sect may well not want to quite kill the fatted goose completely, while Champ/ValJar really just hates everything about us and wants to establish the proletariat as soon as possible. Thoughts my friends in the Burg?

#5  Re #2 NMBS: It is obvious that Biden is not driving the policy attend of this hard-left administration. If you look at the man's career, you see he has never strongly supported any of the major initiatives in this administration. In fact he's been on the other side of most of these issues.

That this admin moved so rapidly on the race and immigration agenda especially points to Obama's influence.

#6  If you look at the man's career

...he stands foursquare in the center of the party, wherever that may happen to be. He has never had any convictions of his own except to get reelected and to squirrel away more in the family coffers. And to get another ungentlemanly squeeze from the wives/girlfriends/daughters of those who dare not resist him when they get within reach. That, I read the other day, is why the Secret Service stopped letting him throw them Christmas parties — he nearly got himself killed doing that to someone’s wife, which makes all the shocked pontificating about Trump all the more annoying.

California's senators ask Biden to ban sale of gas-powered cars
[MSN] The letter sent Monday by Sens. Diane Feinstein and Alex Padilla to President Joseph Biden urges him to "follow Caliphornia, an impregnable bastion of the Democratic Party,'s lead and set a date by which all new cars and passenger trucks sold be zero-emission vehicles."California Gov. Gavin can't be Bee'd Newsom
...mayor of San Franciscoas it transformed itself into Poopville, currently governor of Californiaas it transforms itself into Cinderland...
signed an executive order in September requiring that all new passenger cars and trucks sold in the state be zero-emission vehicles by 2035.

Today, electric vehicles make up less than 3% of US vehicle sales, far lower than some other countries — most notably Norway, where more than half of cars sold last year were electric vehicles. Even without a requirement, EVs could make up the same share of US car sales by 2035, according to some industry forecasts.

Automakers are in the process of offering a far greater selection of electric vehicles to comply with tougher environmental regulations around the world and to meet growing customer demand for EVs. They also aim to save costs, since EVs have fewer moving parts and require fewer hours of labor to assemble than traditional internal combustion engine vehicles.

The industry plans to invest $250 billion in vehicle electrification over the course of the next three years, according to the Alliance for Automotive Innovation, an industry trade group. Asked about the senators' calls for a firm deadline to require only emission-free vehicles, the trade group said it supports working with the Biden administration to reduce greenhouse gas emissions and "build a robust market for electric vehicles, and resolve on-going litigation."

Not enough power plants in the country to "fuel" these electric folly trollies, called EVs.

What did I hear about "rolling brown and black-outs" on the West Coast this last year, my imagination ?

Manufacture of Batteries for these EV's, highly toxic, tendancy to overheat, explode, and are very difficult to recycle. Built into the vehicle is their longevity limiter; after efficiency of numerous "recharge cycles" reaches the approximate 80% retained power level, they quit being efficient and the vehicle itself calls for their replacement - an instant - NO VA - No Go !

$12-22K for replacement battery packs - right.

Spend $45,000 or more for your future lawn ornaments and potential planters.

Michigan County Votes to Hand-Count Ballots in Upcoming Primary, Eschewing Machines
[EpochTimes] Commissioners in a Michigan county late last week voted unanimously to hand-count every ballot cast in an upcoming primary, avoiding the use of Dominion Voting Systems machines.

Antrim County commissioners voted against a proposal from county clerk Sheryl Guy to apportion $5,080 to reinstall election management system software on a computer and tabulators for the county, which would enable use of the Dominion machines in the May 4 primary.

Guy wanted to pay Pro V&V, a testing and verification firm, to update the management system. She said officials can’t use the equipment because of a forensic audit done as part of a court case that was brought against the county, alleging fraud in the 2020 election. The plaintiff pointed to how the county initially reported a victory for candidate Joe The Big Guy Biden

Dark Money Fuels Push to Ditch Filibuster
[FreeBeacon] Fix Our Senate is a project of the secretive Arabella Advisors.

The left-wing group leading a campaign to have Senate Democrats eliminate the filibuster is housed at one of the left's most powerful dark money networks, business records show.

Fix Our Senate is steering a coalition of 60 progressive groups to pressure moderate Democrats to eliminate the filibuster, which requires a 60-vote supermajority to advance legislation. The group is a project of the Sixteen Thirty Fund, a nonprofit incubator managed by the D.C.-based consulting firm Arabella Advisors. Arabella's network of funds is used by the nation's wealthiest liberal donors to secretly bankroll a host of progressive initiatives.

Biden Accidentally Admits He Will Re-Establish TRUMP Border Policy As Crisis Spirals Out Of Control
[TRENDINGPOLITICS] After Joe The Big Guy Biden
...46th president of the U.S., father of Hunter...
was installed in the White House in January, he immediately began to lay waste to dozens of Trump-era policies that put America first.

One of the effective policies he axed was Trump’s "remain in Mexico" policy, which required migrants colonists seeking asylum in the U.S. to remain in Mexico while their asylum claims were processed. Now, just two months later, Biden is realizing how badly he screwed up.

While quickly speaking to news hounds on Sunday, Biden said he would "re-establish what existed before", which was this exact "Remain In Mexico" policy that worked so well under Trump.

"Why do you think the message to the migrants colonists, telling them to stay home, don’t come now, why do you think that hasn’t resonated yet? What more can be done sir?" a news hound asked.

"A lot more. We’re in the process of doing it now, including making sure that we re-establish what existed before, which was they can stay in place and make their case from their home countries," Biden responded.

Dem Rep. Escobar Calls for End to Filibuster to Pass ‘Common-Sense Gun Violence Prevention Legislation’
That was fast in response to Monday’s mass shooting in Boulder by possibly paranoid schizophrenic, but definitely ISIS-curious Syrian immigrant Ahmad Al Aliwi Alissa.
[Breitbart] Representative Veronica Escobar (D-TX) said Tuesday 0n CNN
...formerly the Cable News Network, now who know what it might stand for...
’s "New Day" that in the wake of the mass shooting inside a Boulder, CO supermarket, the U.S. Senate must eliminate the filibuster rule to pass gun control legislation.

Anchor Alisyn Camerota asked, "Is there any reason this morning for any of us to think that this time will be different, this time Congress would do something to stop the epidemic of mass shootings and gun violence?"

Escobar said, "I first want to say, my heart goes out to everyone in Boulder and in Colorado because this is not the first horrible, violent mostly peaceful attack on their community. So they’ve lived through a lot. You know, in the Congress, the House of Representatives last week, for the second time, we passed two important initial pieces on gun violence prevention. The problem is in the Senate. Even with the slim majority, because of the filibuster, it’s going to be very, very difficult to get anything done."

She continued, "We need to do away with the filibuster. What we’re seeing happening in America is Republicans in the Senate are more interested in eroding voting laws and increasing gun rights when really it should be the other way around. We need to look at making sure that we have safe communities and that people aren’t afraid and terrified of going to the grocery store or going to a school. And the majority of Americans support common-sense gun violence prevention legislation, but we can’t get anything done in the Senate because a majority doesn’t rule. It’s the filibuster that rules."

She added, "The inaction that’s occurred is costing people their lives. El Paso knows only too well. We suffered a horrific attack on our community on August 3rd, 2019. I had hoped that that would have been a wake-up call, not just on gun violence but on our hate epidemic in this country. But if Congress can’t act or won’t act because of one vehicle, which is the filibuster, let’s do away with it and give the American public —the majority of the American public the reform that they’re asking for."

#5  Don't both Boulder and Colorado have rather stringent gun control laws already?

Not really. A "large capacity" magazine ban and bans on AR-15 in Boulder and Denver are about it. You can still buy a standard capacity mag for 30 rounds as a "repair kit", but it can be put back together and used. There is a grandfather clause for magazines bought before the ban went into effect.

So basically everything is pretty much legal except for minor bullshit. California and New England are the major gun repression areas.
Posted by: DarthVader || 03/24/2021 16:19 Comments || Top||

#6  I'm amazed they haven't passed a law that duplicated California gun laws nationally. Each law must have been tested by the Supereme Court by now so it'd be easy pickings for a start.

Israel-Palestine-Jordan
Netanyahu short for right-wing coalition, would need Arab support
[Jpost] Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu would not be able to form a government, according to preliminary results from 97% of the regular polling stations reported by the Central Elections Committee unless he gains support from the Arab-Islamist Ra'am Party.

Netanyahu's bloc of Likud, Shas, United Torah Judaism and the Religious Party was found to have won 59 seats along with Yamina, two short of a majority. Ra'am's leader Mansour Abbas has collaborated in the past with Netanyahu and pro-Likud advocates are already working to legitimize the formation of a coalition with Arab support in the media.
Or, he can just subvert 2+ Jewish MK from among the 50+ of the anti-Bibi list. Place your bets, here.

#2  Ra’am is the political party of the Southern Branch of the Islamic Movement, the Muslim Brotherhood in Israel. While they are pragmatic about working with whomever will get them more power, their ultimate goal is the same a the MB everywhere else — a proper Muslim caliphate — so their support is a very sharply edged sword.

But he has indeed been courting the Arab vote since the last election, trying to break the pragmatists away from their more immediately murderous brothers. Has the remaining Arab Joint List even made the cutoff to get any Knesset seats, or are they broken as a political force? I haven’t looked at the news sites yet today.
