Epstein had his own office, phone line at Harvard
[THEHILL] Harvard University admitted Friday that Jeffrey Want Some Candy, Little Girl? Epstein
...A high class pimp financier who was alleged to maintain a stable of underage whores sex slaves who were paid big bucks to entertain the rich and/or famous. He is a registered sex offender and made att least 17 out-of-court settlements with former members of his stable, with some cases still ongoing. 2011 court docs reveal that 21 email addresses and phone numbers for Bill Clinton and an aide were found in Epstein's electronic black book, and that Clinton frequently flew with Epstein on his private plane between 2002 to 2005. But really, they were probably just discussing finance or politix or something. While getting massaged. Then things got serious, Jeff was tossed in the slammer in New York and then he killed himself. Really. That's what happened...
had his own office and phone line at the university and also made several visits there even after he was convicted in 2008 of soliciting sex from minors.

According to a new report from the university, Epstein, the disgraced financier who killed himself in jail last year while awaiting sex crimes charges, visited Harvard more than 40 times after his 2008 conviction and unveiled deep ties between him and the university, with which he had no official affiliation.

University President Lawrence Bacow said in a letter to the Harvard community that Harvard accepted $9.1 million from Epstein between 1998 and 2008 to support research and faculty activities. He also said the university donated $200,937 in unspent contributions from Epstein to organizations supporting human trafficking and sexual assault victims.

While the hallowed institution did not accept donations from Epstein after 2008, the financier was allowed to make 40 visits between 2010 and 2018 to Harvard’s Program for Evolutionary Dynamics, which Epstein helped create with a $6.5 million donation. He was also granted access to the program’s office and given his own office space.

Martin Nowak, a math and biology professor who headed the program, "permitted Epstein to have unrestricted access to Harvard offices," even though he was aware Epstein was a registered sex offender, the report said.
So.. any record of Nowak going to the island or taking possession of any "slaves"?
Nowak also allowed Epstein to use the program’s website to promote his own website, and incorrectly told a foundation that provides grants that he had matching funds from a foundation of Epstein’s.

Nowak was placed on paid administrative leave following the review pending an investigation on whether he broke the university’s policies and standards of professional conduct.

Nowak is the most important (academically) modeler in Evolutionary Games. And, unlike most of the important (mostly in their minds) academics, not a pig.
You expect him to not provide access to a man who was, practically, his landlord?
As to sex offender part, Nowak probably figured that female students - being too old, are safe from Epatein.

#6  I doubt he graded many papers. A cutout phone and mail/CV drop no doubt. A number he could call and receive or leave a message (to a code name recipient or in the blind) which anyone could walk by and pick up. His huge contributions could have gone for payments other than nebulous "research and faculty activities."

Obvious question apparently not asked. Anyone bother to check the call logs? Mail box? Contribs distro? Forgive me for asking.

The Hill: University President Lawrence Bacow said in a letter to the Harvard community that Harvard accepted $9.1 million from Epstein between 1998 and 2008 to support research and faculty activities. He also said the university donated $200,937 in unspent contributions from Epstein to organizations supporting human trafficking and sexual assault victims.

Nice bit of virtue signalling President Bacow. Oh! Interesting to learn there was a small unspent balance in the account and that it....wasn't simply dumped into the general fund.

Harvard professor Martin Nowak, the program’s director, was placed on paid leave in the wake of the damning report — which detailed how Epstein furnished the space with rugs and photos, how he used it to meet with unnamed “political figures,” and how his visits to the campus were always in the company of twentysomething “personal assistants.”

He purchased the secluded ranch from New Mexico's then-Governor Bruce King in 1993
Accuser Virginia Roberts says she was brought to the ranch as an underage teen and sexually abused
Another accuser says her 15-year-old sister was flown to the ranch and molested
Epstein was reportedly interested in turning the ranch into human breeding farm to 'seed the human race'

Biden insiders slam Stacey Abrams' veep pitch: ‘No one takes Stacey seriously'
[NY Post] The Democratic political field is awash with designing women.

Stacey Abrams, a former Georgia State House leader, is aggressively marketing herself as a potential vice president for Joe Biden — increasingly irritating those in the former veep’s orbit, an insider said.

Meanwhile, Sen. Kirsten Gillibrand, one Biden’s 2020 presidential-race rivals, is rarely mentioned as a possible running mate. She has her sights set on something else — secretary of defense, say those familiar with her plans.

While campaigning for vice president traditionally requires a delicate dance of private lobbying and public demurring, Abrams has flipped the script — openly campaigning for the position. In an April 22 appearance on "The View" Abrams said she has "concerns" about Biden "not picking a woman of color."

In an interview with Elle Magazine a week earlier, Abrams gushed that she "would be an excellent running mate" and lauded her "25 years in independent study of foreign policy."

But she has no previous national experience, and is mostly remembered for narrowly losing a race for governor of Georgia in 2018.

"No one takes Stacey seriously. And her public campaigning for the job seems more like a hostage negotiation than an actual attempt to get the job," a Biden insider told The Post. "Biden is an old school guy and will always be. Picking Stacey would be like picking [Sarah] Palin. He doesn’t need to throw a Hail Mary. He wants a good governing partner."

Internally, her star has fallen with the onset of the coronavirus as concerns grow about her preparedness.

"Stacey isn’t ready on day one. Even she knows that and it’s why she’s engaging in this dance. She might get perfunctorily better, but she’s not a serious pick for him. And her campaign is viewed as much as promotion for her book as it is for being chosen as Biden’s VP," the insider continued, referring to Abrams’ forthcoming book "Our Time Is Now."

#8  Who was it that said (and made use of the described phenomenom)?:

...in the big lie there is always a certain force of credibility; because the broad masses of a nation are always more easily corrupted in the deeper strata of their emotional nature than consciously or voluntarily; and thus in the primitive simplicity of their minds they more readily fall victims to the big lie than the small lie, since they themselves often tell small lies in little matters but would be ashamed to resort to large-scale falsehoods.

It would never come into their heads to fabricate colossal untruths, and they would not believe that others could have the impudence to distort the truth so infamously. Even though the facts which prove this to be so may be brought clearly to their minds, they will still doubt and waver and will continue to think that there may be some other explanation.

‘Waitress Sandwich’ Senator Chris Dodd Joins Biden’s VP Search Committee
[THEFEDERALIST] Former U.S. Senator Chris Dodd, who is linked to corporate bailouts, lobbying for Hollywood, and alleged sexual assault of a waitress at a restaurant, is among seven individuals appointed to Joe Foreign Policy Whiz Kid Biden
...Old, boring, a plagiarist, fond of hair sniffing and grabbing the protruding parts of women, and not whatcha call brilliant...
’s Vice Presidential selection task force.

Dodd, the 75-year-old from Connecticut, will be joined by Los Angeles Mayor Eric Garcetti, Rep. Lisa Blunt Rochester, D-Del., and former Biden counsel Cynthia Hogan. Three other appointees will work specifically on vetting chosen candidates; Bob Bauer, husband to former Obama Communications Director Anita Dunn, Obama homeland security advisor Lisa Monaco, and law professor Dana Remus.

Dodd also chaired the Senate Banking Committee during the 2009 financial crisis and helped create Obamacare
...aka the Affordable Care Act, an ineptly designed and worse executed piece of legislation designed to bring 17 percent of the U.S. economy under the direct control of the government. The previous iteration, known as Hillarycare, was laughed out of Washington. This stinker was passed on a party-line vote without being read...
. He served in the Senate for 30 years, but opted out of reelection in 2010 after being linked with a multibillion-dollar bailout of corporations during the financial crisis.

After his Senate retirement, Dodd served as chairman and CEO of the lobbying branch of Hollywood film studios, Motion Picture Association of America.

Subway closure 'outright disaster' for the homeless who have few safe shelter options, advocates say
[NEWS.YAHOO] Homeless New Yorkers will face an even more threatening and dangerous situation when the city shuts down the subway system from 1 a.m. to 5 a.m., according to advocates.

The shutdown was announced by New York Gov. Andrew Sonny Cuomo and Mayor Bill de Blasio
...cryptocommie mayor of New York and for some reason a Dem candidate for president in 2020. Corrupt and incompetent, his qualifications for office seem to consist of being married to a black woman, with whom he honeymooned in Cuba. He has a preppy-looking son named Dante, whose Divine Comedy involved getting his back hair up when a police car drove past him slowly. New Yorkers voted for him, so they deserve him...
in a joint presser on Thursday.

Cuomo said closing the subway for those hours would allow the cars to be sanitized every 24 hours during the novel coronavirus (aka COVID19 or Chinese Plague)
...the twenty first century equivalent of bubonic plague, only instead of killing off a third of the population of Europe it kills 3.4 percent of those who notice they have it. It seems to be fond of the elderly, especially Iranian politicians and holy men...
pandemic. De Blasio said that it would also benefit any homeless people who ride the subway during that time.

"If you're not going back and forth all night on a train, then you actually are coming above ground, where outreach workers are there to help you, where NYPD officer's training in the homeless outreach are there to support homeless people and get them to a better situation," de Blasio said.

Advocates for the homeless felt differently.

"It's just an outright disaster," Joshua Goldfein, a staff attorney at the Legal Aid Society, a New York City-based nonprofit that launched the Homeless Rights Project this year, told ABC News.

Investigate Tara Reade’s Allegations

[NYTIMES] Former Vice President Joe Foreign Policy Whiz Kid Biden
...When the stock market crashed, Franklin Roosevelt got on the television and didn't just talk about the princes of greed. He said, 'Look, here's what happened.'...
, the Democrats’ presumptive nominee for president, has forcefully denied allegations of sexual harassment and assault made against him by Tara Reade, a former staff assistant in his Senate office.

"They aren’t true," Mr. Biden said in a statement on Friday. "This never happened."

Ms. Reade’s accusations, which have been percolating for several weeks, are grave and graphic. She charges that, in the spring of 1993, Mr. Biden cornered her in a deserted hallway of the Capitol complex, pinned her against a wall, reached under her skirt and penetrated her with his fingers.

Ms. Reade’s brother and multiple friends have said that she told them of the incident around the time it occurred. Some bits of evidence lend credence to her claim, even as others prompt skepticism. When Ms. Reade’s brother, Collin Moulton, first spoke to The Washington Post about his sister’s accusations, for instance, he mentioned only that she talked about Mr. Biden touching her neck and shoulders; several days later, Mr. Moulton texted The Post to say that he also recalled her sharing that Mr. Biden had put his hand "under her clothes."

As is so often the case in such situations, it is all but impossible to be certain of the truth. But the stakes are too high to let the matter fester — or leave it to be investigated by and adjudicated in the media. Mr. Biden is seeking the nation’s highest office.

In 2018, this board advocated strongly for a vigorous inquiry into accusations of sexual misconduct raised against Brett Kavanaugh when he was nominated to a seat on the Supreme Court. Mr. Biden’s pursuit of the presidency requires no less. His campaign, and his party, have a duty to assure the public that the accusations are being taken seriously. The Democratic National Committee should move to investigate the matter swiftly and thoroughly, with the full cooperation of the Biden campaign.

Ms. Reade’s account has some apparent inconsistencies. Last year, she was one of several women who came forward with complaints of Mr. Biden hugging or touching them in ways that made them uncomfortable, but she did not raise the assault accusation until this March. She says she tried to share her story with the media earlier, only to get "shut down."

Twenty-Five Democrat Hopefuls... and Then There Was One
[SPECTATOR.ORG] A desiccated nincompoop dodging a rape allegation. Nicely done, Dems.

Tara Reade’s charge of rape against Biden has, in the immortal words of Henry Kissinger, “the odious smell of truth” about it.

Second Biden accuser comes forward
[BIZPACREVIEW] Another accuser has come forth to claim presumptive Democrat presidential nominee Joe Foreign Policy Whiz Kid Biden
...When the stock market crashed, Franklin Roosevelt got on the television and didn't just talk about the princes of greed. He said, 'Look, here's what happened.'...
, now 77, sexually harassed her in 2008 by complimenting for being "very well endowed" for a 14-year-old child.

The accuser, Eva Murry, now 26, is reportedly the niece of former Republican Senate candidate Christine O’Donnell, who ran in 2010 for the seat vacated by Biden after he became vice president to then-President Barack Obama
I inhaled. That was the point...
