[MAIL] Former top Obama administration officials are at odds over which of them may have pushed the infamous golden showers dossier be included in an assessment of Russian election interference ‐ and existing email records hold the key to who is correct.
A former Republican congressman is touting the available digital evidence, as a new investigatory climate focuses on those involved in decisions to look at the Trump campaign in 2016 amid Russian election interference.
Attorney General William Barr has appointed a top prosecutor to examine the origins of the Russia probe ‐ the latest of several efforts to 'investigate the investigators.'
Once again, former FBI Director James Comey is a central figure to the matter. Fox News reports that in a late-2016 email chain, Comey tells subordinates that the dossier should be included in an intelligence community assessment of Russian interference ‐ and that it was at the direction of former CIA Director John Brennan.
Special Counsel Robert Mueller hunted down the details of the Kremlin-backed interference campaign and included it in his report, and the DOJ issued indictments.
But a former CIA official says it was Comey who wanted the dossier included in an Intelligence Community Assessment ‐ not former CIA director John Brennan or former National Security Agency director James Clapper.

The ONLY reason the onerous Brennan and Clapper are saying anything. Comey appears to be going down for the team.
It's the first step in disavowing ownership of Operation Hurricane Crossfire, Christopher Steele, Bruce and Nellie Ohr, or anyone else associated with the operation.

one straw gets shot, another straw gets hung, the last is drawn and quartered. We can figure out the details of which is which when the time comes.
[FoxNews] One of Chicago’s aldermen is facing felony charges for an alleged false report that his Audi sedan had been stolen in January, police said.
Ald. Proco “Joe” Moreno was arrested and taken into custody Tuesday night and charged with one felony count of insurance fraud and one count of obstruction of justice, a police spokesman told FOX32.
Police said Moreno, who is the alderman for the 1st ward, reported Jan. 4 his leased black Audi A6 sedan had been stolen from his Wicker Park home. He claimed to have just returned from a trip and that no one else had access to the car.
However, Moreno’s claims unraveled when police found the car in February after seeing a woman driving it, the Chicago Tribune reported.
The woman was initially charged with misdemeanor trespass to a motor vehicle.
However, Cook County prosecutors dropped the charges after she told the police – and the Tribune – that Moreno let her use the car. The woman, identified as Liliya Hrabar, and said she and Moreno dated on and off.
Moreno, who lost his bid for re-election, is slated to end his term on May 20.

The chickens have come home to roost. Wikpedia: In July 2012, Moreno said he denied the fast-food chain Chick-fil-A a permit to open a restaurant on North Elston Avenue. His stated reason was because the company's president held different beliefs on gay marriage (opposition) than Moreno.

Biden is an old man far out of his depth never gifted with intelligence or wit of any kind... What is the excuse of his aides? Are they 70 something dullards as well?

OK, now imagine you could spend $75,000.00 you don't have on each member of your household. I bet most Rantburgers would have something to show for it at the end of the exercise. These municipalities? Not so much...

Why don't they just borrow some money to pay off their debt ...

Who is loaning these places money still? The debt bomb for most states/cities is coming in a decade or so and then what? I sure as fuck wouldn't be loaning these assholes anything right now.

Darth, it depends on the terms. I bet that there's a lot of short term profit available.....stay away from the 10+ year bonds unless you're counting on a Federal Bailout.
"Tax free" munis are still widely available. Many takers.

The need for a municapal / state bankruptcy bailout will arrive at about the same time as the Social Security "trust fund" needs bailed out. Which will you be will be the priority?

We always hear how California's economy is bigger than a lot of countries. When they ask for a bailout, the GOP should smilingly ask blacks, whites and browns in all other states how they feel about that.

Lenders don't care about the principal. The interest payments cover that and much, much more. The borrowers become slaves.

Looks like a nice neighborhood behind her and she's sitting in the little pink toy electric car. That had to cost a couple hundred bucks. An expensive toy for an eight-year-old. It does not look like a deprived childhood.

[Free Beacon] Attorney General William Barr asked Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D., Calif.) if she brought "handcuffs" for him Wednesday at the Capitol, following her accusing him of lying to Congress earlier this month.
According to multiple reporters, Barr approached Pelosi following the National Peace Officers Memorial Service in Washington, shook her hand, and asked, "Madam Speaker, did you bring your handcuffs?" Pelosi smiled and said the House Sergeant at Arms was present if an arrest was necessary, to which Barr laughed and walked away.
Some congressional Democrats have called for Barr to be jailed after the House Judiciary Committee voted to hold him in contempt when he ignored a subpoena for the unredacted Russia report by Special Counsel Robert Mueller.

Even leftist lawyers are saying it would be a bad idea for the dems to try to force this in a circuit court. Barr is solid in not releasing the redacted info... as it is against the fucking law to do so.
The demoncrats keep pressing this they should find themselves in the crosshairs of a DOJ and FBI investigation themselves.

I'm not seeing a winning ticket in any of those mentioned: Biden, Michele (or Michael as some say), Oprah, Kamela or the rest who no one has heard of.
[FREEBEACON] A "nonpartisan" government watchdog group that has generated a steady flow of litigation against President Donald Trump ...New York real estate developer, described by Dems as illiterate, racist, misogynistic, and what ever other unpleasant descriptions they can think of, elected by the rest of us as 45th President of the United States... shares employees with the left-wing Media Matters for America, according to an independent audit. David Brock - "Cocaine is a helluva drug" troll doll
Citizens for Responsibility and Ethics in Washington (CREW) has filed lawsuits against Trump and government agencies nearly every month since he was sworn into office. These actions follow a plan that was laid out in a confidential memo from David Brock, the liberal operative who founded Media Matters, American Bridge, and Shareblue, that was handed out to deep-pocketed liberal donors as Trump was taking office.
Brock stepped away from CREW in 2016 because he did not want the group to appear overtly partisan as Trump was coming into power.
"Due to my stepped-up political activities in the American Bridge opposition research super PAC, I decided to step off CREW's board to ensure its public reputation for non-partisanship," Brock wrote in a statement post to CREW's website in December 2016. "I'm very proud of the work CREW has accomplished during my two years on board, and its work is more relevant now than ever."
At this time, Norm Eisen, a former ethics czar for President Obama, was announced as the group's new chair while Richard Painter, a self-identified Republican who served as an ethics lawyer under George W. Bush, would act as the group's vice chair. Eisen was tapped earlier this year by Democrats on the House Judiciary Committee to help its chair, Rep. Jerry Nadler, pursue congressional investigations into Trump and put pressure on Attorney General William Barr. "Norm Eisen, a former ethics czar for President Obama" - Let that sink in
Despite distancing himself from CREW on paper, Brock never veered far from the group. Just one month after his resignation, the Clinton loyalist held a private retreat with more than 100 liberal donors at the posh Turnberry Isle Resort just outside of Miami where they discussed how they would "kick Donald Trump's ass."

This is the same pattern that world class piece of shit David Bonoir (D - MI) did on Newt Gingrich; over the course of a few years Bonoir hit Gingrich with over 400 lawsuits and ethics complaints. 400. Four Fucking Hundred. For you young 'uns, let that sink in for a few minutes, and the level of scumbaggery of the Democrat Party ought to become self-evident.

You know what they say about the best defense. Why aren't Democrats being hit with similar suits?

How fortunate that President Trump happens to be a billionaire with lawyers on retainer for exactly this kind of thing, and its another expense he can write off his taxes.
I continue to find it highly amusing that people are still pointing out that a real estate investor had huge losses on his tax returns. The main reason people with high incomes invest in real estate is that it creates paper losses (due to accelerated depreciation) they can use to protect real income.

I would have the IRS do a "surprise" audit on everyone involved.
You could do your part and send one of these in to the IRS. If it's plausible information, they'll do the audit. I sent one of these in back in the late '90's and wound up with a check for just under $25,000. I dropped a dime on a lawyer who was doing a lot of dirty shit so I sent in this form, attached what was essentially a four or five page audit guide telling them where to find everything, and I waited about seven years until they finished the audit(s) and they collected a ton of back taxes from him, which is the condition that must be met for anyone to receive an award through this program. I figure the IRS hit the bastard for $167K - $250K in back Federal taxes because of it, and then I got my cut (10% to 15%).

MSN had a poll this morning. Lots of questions about medical necessity, not one about should it be a substitute for birth control prior to conception.

Heading for the Supreme Court for a showdown over Roe vs Wade...again.
[Free beacon] Georgia Democratic Senate candidate Teresa Tomlinson said in 2010 she believed in life at conception, but she told MSNBC Saturday it was "biologically impossible" for one person to live within another while criticizing the newly signed Georgia abortion law.
Campaign spokeswoman Caitlin Highland told the Washington Free Beacon that Tomlinson "disputes the suggestion that personhood begins at conception" when asked if she had changed her mind about her earlier position.
"Because Mayor Tomlinson believes in biology, she understands that cellular life begins at conception," Highland said in an email. "But cellular life is not personhood; she vehemently disputes the suggestion that personhood begins at conception, or anytime up to birth."
Tomlinson, an attorney who served two terms as mayor of Columbus, Georgia, announced her bid to seek the Democratic nomination shortly after Stacey Abrams declined to enter the race.
She has been harshly critical of the pro-life bill signed by Georgia Gov. Brian Kemp (R.), which outlaws abortions once a fetal heartbeat is detected, often around the six-week mark of a pregnancy. It excludes victims of rape or incest. Pro-choice groups have vowed to go to court and fight the law, which will go into effect in 2020.
Tomlinson told MSNBC's Joy Reid on Saturday that the goal of the legislation was to "overturn" Roe vs. Wade.
