An Italian couple who were caught having sex in a church confessional box while morning Mass was being said have repented and made peace with the local bishop. The couple, in their early 30s, were detained by police earlier this month after they had made love in the confessional box in the cathedral in northern Cesena. They were cautioned for obscene acts in public and disturbing a religious function. What? Dhimmis won't allow you to say "Oh God!" in church now?
Their lawyer said they had been drinking all night and realized they had gone too far. The lawyer told the area's local newspaper on Wednesday the couple met with the local bishop on Tuesday night, asked for his forgiveness and that he had given it.
Last week the bishop celebrated a "Mass of reparation" in the cathedral where the confessional box incident took place to make up for the sacrilege.

Sex in church has long been a silly thing. Back in the middle ages, marriage was bawdy, often with nudity degenerating into an orgy.
Priestly rites were half-and-half Christian and pagan, and only the upper classes were particularly formal, as marriages were arranged for financial and political reasons. Only with the advent of the middle classes did it become the prudish and superstitious rituals we know today.

A lowly county judge you say? Seems he's overstepping his authority by a few jurisdictions. Not that Che ever opposed capital punishment. Instead, I recall he had a jones for pulling the trigger himself for the crime of not groveling before Fidel or himself.

They'll make a go of it as soon as soccer catches on and competes favorably with the existing four team sports.

Actually, at the strictly amateur level, cricket is already making inroads here - from the Indian community. My company (high-tech, lots of Indians) has enough interest for a cricket league, and around my town I often see pick-up games being played in parks.
