Home invasion gone wrong for [illegal] criminals
Two illegal aliens, Ralphel Resindez 23 and Enrico Garza 26, probably believed they would easily overpower a home alone 11 year old Patricia Harrington after her father had left their two story home. It seems the two crooks never learned two things, they were in Montana and Patricia had been a clay shooting champion since she was nine. Patricia was in her upstairs room when the two men broke through the front door of the house. She quickly ran to her father's room and grabbed his 12 gauge Mossberg 500 shotgun.
"Clack...clack..."
Resindez was the first to get up to the second floor only to be the first to catch a near point blank blast of buck shot from the 11 year olds knee crouch aim. He suffered fatal wounds to his abdomen and genitals.
Nice shooting, Pat
When Garza ran to the foot of the stairs, he took a blast to the left shoulder and staggered out into the street where he bled to death before medical help could arrive.
Patricia - 2, Goblins - 0
It was found out later that Resindez was armed with a stolen 45 caliber handgun he took from another home invasion robbery. The victim, 50 year old David Burien, was not so lucky as he died from stab wounds to the chest.

#5  The sad thing is that this poor 11YO girl is going to have to live with the knowledge she killed two people. Don't get me wrong--I'm glad she did!--but clay-shooting champion or no, she's still an 11YO girl, likely a fifth-grader, and that's going to haunt her for the rest of her life.

She may also face a legal fight from the families of the two creeps--if there were any justice in the world they will get laughed out of court and loaded into the next bus to the border.

#6  I don't know...it's all a little too pat. I smell a fantasy story here. Why does the article mention a Mossberg 500 by name? The media never gets firearms right, on the rare occasions that they get specific. It doesn't mention where in Montana...etc etc.

#7  I think this story is a hoax. After a quick google search, only emails or I saw this stories are posted. One had details about this happening in Butte, Montana on Nov. 6, 2006. After searching the newspapers for any story on a Patricia Harrington, nothing came up.

Still, it gave me the warm fuzzies.

#12  So much for that -- Snopes has the story up now. link They don't know for certain, but they think it's an urban legend. They say the Resindez name was used by the now-imprisoned Railroad Killer.

#13  Almost all the sources reference back to the "NRA files", but as of yet, I don't know if anyone has contacted the NRA to confirm or deny.

The story has been circulating for a while, with the only dispute as to whether the girl was 11 or 9 years old.

#14  I'm sure this would have appeared in the Armed Citizen column if it was true and yet I've never seen it there in my NRA magazines. It just reads....wrong. And how many newspapers and news agencies use the word 'illegal aliens'. They'd be undocumented immigrants.

Here is a link to about the only Montana home invasion defense I can find:

Teen shoots, kills 2 would-be robbers

An overnight home invasion robbery attempt in northeast Harris County ended in a hail of gunfire that left two suspects dead.

Investigators said a 17-year-old was home with his cousin when four armed men kicked in the door and started shooting.

The teen pulled out a shotgun of his own and fired back at the suspects, killing two of them.

Two other suspects were later caught.

The 17-year-old asked to not be identified.

“Truthfully, it was either them or me, regardless of who was on the other side of that door or whoever kicked my door down, it was either him or me,” he said. “I’m thankful to be standing here today. I thank god.”

Authorities said at this point they are not planning on filing charges against the teen.

Sleepy man ignores stabbing
A man is recovering in hospital after he was stabbed nine times – but didn't notice, because he slept through the whole thing.

The 23-year-old, from Winona, Minnesota, was stabbed repeatedly early on Saturday morning, but was unable to identify his assailants to police because he was snoozing at the time.

The Winona Daily News reports that the man, who wasn't identified, only realised that he'd been stabbed nine times when his girlfriend noticed that he was covered in blood and pointed this out.

Reports do not indicate whether the girlfriend was also sleeping during the attack.

Police are continuing to investigate the incident, and the man remains in hospital. Probably asleep.

Jeweller was a skirt slasher
A bond street jeweller who crept up behind women on Tube escalators and slashed their skirts with scissors to expose their underwear has escaped jail.

Ian Dave Rosenberg, 48, was instead given a six-month jail sentence suspended for two years and ordered to pay £9,000 compensation to his three victims.

One of them had not even realised what had happened until she got to work to find her skirt cut and her underwear showing, City of Westminster magistrates court was told.

Rosenberg, 48, of Farnham, Surrey, who holds a managerial post at an undisclosed shop, admitted committing the offences in January at Green Park Tube station.

He handed himself in to police after the cases were featured on BBC's Crimewatch programme.

He declined to answer any questions but apologised for the distress he caused to his victims in a written statement.

Sentencing Rosenberg, District Judge Quentin Purdy said: 'This is undoubtedly a bizarre case and what caused you to behave like this may never be known.

Perhaps your skill as a jeweller enabled you to do what you did?'

Rosenberg has also been placed on the sex offenders' register and ordered to seek psychiatric help.

-Short Attention Span Theater-
Walter Reed Tells Joan Baez to Folk Herself

Folk singer and anti-war activist Joan Baez says she doesn't know why she was not allowed to perform for recovering soldiers recently at Walter Reed Army Medical Center as she planned. In a letter to The Washington Post published Wednesday, she said rocker John Mellencamp had asked her to perform with him last Friday and that she accepted his invitation.

"I have always been an advocate for nonviolence and I have stood as firmly against the Iraq war as I did the Vietnam War 40 years ago," she wrote.
Ya think that might have something to do with it?
"I realize now that I might have contributed to a better welcome home for those soldiers fresh from Vietnam.
No fucking kidding!
Maybe that's why I didn't hesitate to accept the invitation to sing for those returning from Iraq and Afghanistan. In the end, four days before the concert, I was not 'approved' by the Army to take part. Strange irony."

Baez, 66, told the Post in a telephone interview Tuesday that she was not told why she was left off the program by the Army. "There might have been one, there might have been 50 (soldiers) that thought I was a traitor," she told the paper. The Post reported that Walter Reed officials did not respond to requests for comment Tuesday, but that in an e-mailed statement published Monday on RollingStone.com, spokesman Steve Sanderson said the medical center received the request for participation by Baez just two days before the concert.

"These additional requirements were not in the agreement/contract and would have required a modification," Sanderson told the magazine's Web site. Baez's manager, Mark Spector, told the Post that Mellencamp's management invited Baez to perform in March and handled all the arrangements. The Post said Mellencamp's manager, Randy Hoffman, did not return calls requesting comment and that Mellencamp's publicist said the singer was ill Tuesday and unavailable.
She's been "ill" for a long time now.
But Mellencamp earlier told RollingStone.com: "They didn't give me a reason why she couldn't come. We asked why and they said, 'She can't fit here, period.' "
But they told her where she could "fit" her guitar.
This wasn't the first time a performer has been banned from the hospital. In 2004, officials denied access to actress Patty Duke, who was scheduled to visit troops as part of Arts Advocacy Day in Washington. USO officials said they didn't have enough time to alert patients that a celebrity was coming, but later that day Michael Jackson was spotted in the same ward that Duke was to visit.
What that freak is doing in a military hospital is beyond me. He belongs in one of his own.

Couple touring home find woman's body
This real estate agent will likely do a house check before letting her prospective customers tour on their own from now on, after a couple happened upon a homeowner dead in bed.

Linda Chabucos-Galow, a real estate agent with Shorewest, stood in the dining room while Justin and Colleen McKeen walked through a house Monday night. Before long, she heard Colleen scream as the couple stood at the doorway.

"I thought, 'What's wrong?' Maybe it was a dead mouse or something," Chabucos-Galow said. But then she peered into the bedroom and saw the body of Linda L. O'Leary, 55, the owner of the home. She had been dead for about two weeks, officials say. "It looked like a Halloween prop," Chabucos-Galow said.

The uncovered body was wearing dark shorts. Chabucos-Galow said her legs were wrapped in material that appeared similar to cheesecloth or support hose.

"If we spent five minutes in there, I'd be stretching it," Chabucos-Galow said. She said she then told the couple: "'We need to leave. This is not right. We need to get out of here.'"

Gale Kent, the Coldwell Banker First United Realty agent who listed the house, said the property was for sale "for a while," but wouldn't say how many times it had been shown in recent weeks. "I don't want to say anything because I haven't talked to the police yet," Kent said.

Rock County Coroner Jenifer Keach said she pronounced O'Leary dead at 11 p.m. Monday. Police Capt. Dan Davis said an overnight log listed the incident as a sudden death, which indicates to him there was no foul play. But he would not comment further on whether the death was suspicious. An autopsy had not been scheduled, he said.

Chabucos-Galow said she set up the showing without knowing the homeowner's identity. After entering the home, she noticed a faint odor but thought it was from the mess in the house or the countertop full of dishes. She saw unopened mail. "I've smelled death. I know what death smells like," she said. "I can't believe my sinuses were that bad."

Killer sex toads in mating frenzy with £20,000 carp
SEX-CRAZED toads killed prime carp worth £20,000 at a fishing lake — by dragging them down into an underwater ORGY.

The prized fish, weighing up to 8lbs, suffocated when amorous toads in a mating frenzy jumped on them as they basked in the shallows.

Each carp was attacked by up to a DOZEN randy amphibians mistaking them for lady toads. And more fish including roach, rudd and bream were killed by pollution from the rotting carcasses lying on the bottom of the lake. Mike Heelis, 49, who manages Wykeham Lakes, near Pickering, North Yorks, said: “It was a horrendous sight.

“From a distance it looked like the fish had some sort of fungus on their heads. Then I realised they had these toads clamped to their heads.

“Toads have always come to our lakes to do what they do naturally — but this year there were thousands of them, jumping on anything that moved.

“The creatures were covering their gills and mouths. They just sank to the bottom and died.

“We used to have catches of 100lb in competitions but weights will be a lot lower now.”

The toad orgies were not the first natural disaster to hit the fishery.

Two years ago a family of otters munched their way through £10,000- worth of fish.

Mr Heelis added: “In both cases we had our hands completely tied. Otters are protected and so is the common toad.”

The Environment Agency said toad mating was a “natural phenomenon” and Mr Heelis could be prosecuted if he attempted to move them.

#2  Toads that mistake fish for lady toads tend not to create many offspring, I imagine. So likely that problem will evaporate shortly. In the meantime, lake manager Mr. Heelis might want to consider stocking a fish species less attractive to the toads.

Update on the Muslim Footbaths af Kansas City Airport.
Hat Tip: Worldnetdaily
With photos of the footbaths in question. More
info at link.

Kansas City International Airport officials have acknowledged installing foot-washing benches in a restroom at the airport, but deny they're intended for Muslim cab drivers.

WND over the weekend reported that KCI Airport recently constructed four foot-washing benches to accommodate a growing number of Muslim drivers who requested the facilities to prepare for daily Islamic prayer.

The story set off a firestorm after talk radio host Michael Savage ran with it on his nationally syndicated show. Local media in Kansas City, Mo., also weighed in on the controversy, triggering an official response from airport authorities.

"Recently, a small expansion was made to the building," said Kansas City Aviation Department spokesman Joe McBride in a statement to WND. "Included were wash areas used for any wash purpose by any of the users, including filling car wash buckets."

He insisted the wash benches were not "built for the exclusive use of any ethnic group or culture."

However, the department director in an earlier statement to WND appeared to contradict that claim.

"The majority of our drivers are Muslim, so preventing them from praying at all was not an option, especially in our public terminal restrooms," said Mark VanLoh, director of the Kansas City Aviation Department. "This was the best solution, and those facilities were added without public money."

He added that cab drivers paid for construction through a one-dollar per-trip fee.

Good for KC International for being a trailblazer in this vital area...

#3  I'm waiting until some infidel desecrates one of these basins (maybe mistaking it for a urinal) and they post signs "Muslims only"

Good one, xbalanke. Maybe people need to "accidentally" drop raw pork products into these basins on a daily basis.

#9  Incidentally, there is absolutely ZERO difference between this situation and the made-up "conflicts" at Minneapolis. Islam specifically absolves Muslims who are unable to perform ablutions before prayer if circumstances beyond their control prevent it. More contrived whingeing by overbearing Muslims to impose upon the dhimmis. There is no irony in the fact that demanding overly-fundamentalist Muslims like these are the exact same ones who would think nothing of plotting a terrorist attack against the airport.

#10  Final Question: Where are these taxis parked while their Muslim drivers perform ablutions and prayers? If they are being left unattended in the taxi queue, they should be ticketed and towed. This shit has got to stop.

#11  tu's comment is perfect. Don't you love it when taxpayer funded officials lie to your face?

I gave some thought to what I would do if the new plumbing were to be installed at my local airport.

Pissin' in the footbaths will probably get you arrested for "something". Not unlike pissin' in the sink. Although a hard core anti-jihadist might wish to test the law. I suggest demanding a trial by jury.

I have not seen these so called "foot-washing benches", so I can't comment on the architecture of the faciities. Anyone have any idea what they look like? One "user" at a time or would they accomodate "multiple users" at a time?

I'd like to think the facility is "one user" at a time. I could have fun with that. (Sit there, clean my feet very slowly. Bring a nail trimmer. Clean some more, then trim again. Whoops...am I interfereing with your prescribed "prayer time"? Can't you be late for prayer? Why not? I thought Allah was All Mericful? That's too bad Achmed....wait your turn because THIS infidel is not finished cleaning his feet and trimming his nails. Here, have some pork rinds while you wait...whoops...sorry ... I forgot, you don't like pigs. Allow me to make a suggestion: Why not go use the next foot-bath in the restroom down the corridor? You can't because some INFIDEL is in there washing his feet and trimming his nails? AND he's got a bag of pork rinds in his back pocket? Gosh, I guess you might miss this ONE prayer time today. Good thing Allah is All Knowing, Merciful, and Forgiving otherwise you'd be SOL, huh? I'm sure Allah knew in advance there'd be a bunch of infidel at the airport restrooms today to make life hard for YOU to impose YOUR religion on the unclean infidel. Allah just forgot to tell you.)

#13  Mark Z, go to the link. There's pictures. These are specifically for foot washing and nothing else.

I like your idea of Infidels monopolizing the facilities right around prayer time every day. This needs to happen for weeks on end until the cabbies try something violent and then force the airport to rip out the entire facility because it causes too much trouble.

I still want to know where the drivers leave their cabs during footwashing and prayer. Anyone want to bet that they park them properly in the pay lots?

Kent State shooting victim sez: Reopen case
Snip, duplicate from 4/30.
Posted by: Seafarious || 05/02/2007 00:00 || Comments || Link || [3 views] Top|| File under:

#1  The only reason to re-open the case would be to prosecute the arsonists and Vietcong sympathizers for sedition, rioting, and assault against military personnel.

The command to fire is irrelevant and would have been cited and proven before now if anyone had heard it at all. This is obviously another attempt by moonbats to milk this incident for more propaganda from a sympathetic MSM.

They are lucky it wasn't a lot worse. It almost was a massacre of monumental dimensions. According to James A. Michener's book Kent State, the enraged moonbats re-grouped immediately after the shootings and charged the Guardsmen, coming within ten feet of their loaded rifles before they stopped.

Enraged mobs are deadly even when they don't have weapons, as was demonstrated over and over in the 20th century and a few times since.

Since nobody really know what had just happened, it still seemed possible that the Guard was under attack by snipers, and the moonbats had murder in their eyes; a few more steps or the sight of a weapon really could have instigated a massacre.

If they had mowed down 300 hippies and VC infiltrators instead of 4, the media reaction could scarcely have been worse, while the salutary effect on future uprisings would have been much more positive.

#2  I think Kent State may have been the origin of Niven's First Law:

"Don't throw shit at an armed man"
and its notably wise corrolary:
"Never stand next to someone who is throwing shit at an armed man."

According to Michener and many others, this was literally happening at Kent State.

#3  How about re-opening fire?

#4  The trashing of adjoining burbs and the burning of campus buildings [outside of sports celebratory festivities] over political issues since Kent State? 0.

Cause -> Effect

"We're adults." "Overthrow the government." "Burn, Baby, Burn." BANG "but, we're your children."

#5  I was in junior high school at the time of Kent State, and I remember thinking, "Mmm, 'kay...isn't throwing rocks at, and otherwise menacing a bunch of tired, pissed-off guys with loaded weapons.... NOT one of those good ideas? Isn't that one of those things you are supposed to know, if you are bright enough to be college materiel?"
I do understand that some of those who were killed at Kent State were totally uninvolved in the protest... but for the protestors to assume that there would be no consequence to running amuck on campus was a remarkable miscalculation on their part.

#6  I was a month away from my commission in the AF when Kent State happened. I remember thinking at the time that the students got what they deserved. The "peace movement" types considered the military subhuman and physically confronted us when they thought they could get away with it, from spitting and verbal abuse to physical assault when the numbers were on their side. No doubt in my mind that the Kent State guardsmen were in fear of their lives. That some "innocent students" were killed is too bad. When you play with pigs, you get dirty or, in this case, dead.

#7  RWV-

As near as anyone has been able to tell, the four kids who were killed really were just WPWT (wrong place, wrong, time, and I knew one of the families(they lived not far down the road from us). The thing I have never been able to understand is why anyone who wasn't involved in the protests was even on campus at the time. (And let me stress, I am NOT suggesting anything untowards on the part of the four students)Classes had been cancelled for some time at that point, the Guard had been on the campus almost as long, and all of these kids lived no more than about two hours from Kent. I have always just wished they would have gone home. They'd have been grandparents now if they had.

BTW...notice how nobody ever seems to talk much about the shootings ten days later at Jackson State University in Mississippi, where the local cops and state troopers really DID go off on a crowd - to the extent of 460 rounds fired and two dead students. The cops took the time to police their brass before leaving things to the Mississippi guard.
There has never been a single arrest or full-dress inquiry into the events at Jackson State, and to me, THAT is a disgrace.

#10  I was in HS at the time of the shootings and lived 30 miles south of Kent. Even my completely out of touch with current events mother knew trouble was brewing up there. She absolutely forbid me and my buddies to go to Kent check it out. Next day - blammo!

I'm with Mike - what the hell were the innocent doing hanging around campus?

#11  I didn't get it at the time, and I still don't get it.
The guards with the rifles are American boys.
What college students are stupid enough to attack them ? At the time, I thought it unfortunate, but nevertheless an attempt to push the guards around which failed.
Actually, the students who died and those with them are guilty. The guard at the time represented police, and attacking them would be anarchistic behavior, which I assume is against the laws of the land. Did this ass who wants the case reopened do jail time yet ?

Home Front: Culture Wars
Rage Against the Machine rages at Coachella music festival
INDIO, Calif- Thousands of sunburnt fans roared in unison and pumped their fists in the desert air Sunday night as reunited political rockers Rage Against the Machine took the stage at the Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival. Grinning, lead singer-rapper Zack de la Rocha pumped his fist along with them.

Seven years after the quartet broke up following de la Rocha's departure, the band returned with a vengeance to close out the three-day festival east of Palm Springs. Stomping, shouting into his microphone, grabbing his curly hair and inciting the audience to "keep fighting," de la Rocha powered through songs ranging from the bass heavy "Bulls on Parade" to the anthem "Killing in the Name."

He also railed against the war in Iraq and likened Bush administration officials to Nazi war criminals. "This current administration is no exception. They should be tried and hung and shot," he said.

Drummer Brad Wilk, bassist Tim Commerford and guitarist Tom Morello, who wore a hat with the word "UNITY" on it, completed the lineup.

"They changed my life. They made me a liberal," said sweat-drenched history teacher Rafael Ramon, 25, who had waited in a crowd packed shoulder-to-shoulder in front of the stage all day. "All of America needed Rage to come back. They've been missing," he said.

The band last played the festival during its first year in 1999. An estimated 180,000 people attended the festival over the three days but police said there were few problems.
