Philly looters freak out when they realize Apple ‘armed’ all the iPhones they stole
[Revolver] Democrat-run cities are going haywire over the killing of another armed and dangerous thug. This time around, the assailant charged at a police officer with a knife and was subsequently shot and killed. The entire incident was captured on bodycam. The officer, who should never have been charged in the first place, had the charges against him dismissed by a rare honest judge. And just like clockwork, young black people started looting

USA Today:

Philadelphia police arrested more than 50 people after multiple stores, including Apple, in the Center City area were ransacked Tuesday night following the gathering of a large crowd that, at one point, grew to about 100 young adults and teenagers, authorities said.

The looting began within a half hour after the conclusion of a peaceful protests in downtown Philadelphia over a judge’s decision on Tuesday to dismiss charges against Mark Dial, a former Philadelphia police officer who fatally shot Eddie Irizarry.

The shooting of Irizarry drew national attention after body camera footage contradicted the initial police account, which purported that the 27-year-old lunged at officers with a knife. Charges against Dial were refiled hours after the judge dismissed the case.

However, in the midst of all this chaos and deplorable left-wing behavior, one rather humorous moment was caught on video when a group of not-so-bright Philly looters discovered that Apple had activated very loud security features on all the phones and tablets they’d stolen.

Hilarious!

The Other Perfesser: Oberlin College’s 17-Year Refusal To Return Artwork Stolen By The Nazis From A Jewish Holocaust Victim
[LegalInsurrection] The Manhattan D.A. recently issued a criminal seizure warrant for ‘Girl With Black Hair’ in the possession of Oberlin College’s Allen Museum. Court records in a civil case reveal that the college has been fighting at least since 2006 against return of the drawing. This is in contrast to the college’s repatriation of an item of Native American craft returned to the Nez Perce tribe in 2002. Are items stolen from Jews during the Holocaust less worthy of return than items obtained from Native American tribes?
To ask the question is to answer it.
Oberlin College was in the news recently after a drawing, Girl With Black Hair, by Austrian Expressionist Egon Schiele, was the subject of a criminal seizure warrant out of the Manhattan District Attorney’s office.

The D.A. is attempting to recover that drawing and others located at other museums and private collections, which were stolen by the Nazis from Fritz Grünbaum, a prominent Jewish art collector and cabaret artist, who was forced under duress to sign over rights to his collection as part of the Nazi confiscation of Jewish property, while interned at the Dachau concentration camp in Germany, where he died in 1941.

While the criminal warrant to Oberlin College and two other institutions put the dispute in the current headlines, the Grünbaum heirs have have been trying at least since 2006 to get Oberlin College to return the drawing, to no avail. We have not seen that long history reported before, and we learned of it while reviewing court filings in a civil case filed against Oberlin College and others in late 2022, which Oberlin College also is fighting. Among other things, Oberlin College disputes the constitutionality of applying the Holocaust Expropriated Art Recovery Act of 2016.

-Short Attention Span Theater-
BREAKING: Xi Jinping expected to announce replacement for late US Senator Diane Feinstein today
[Genesius Times[ In an astonishing display of international political prowess, General Secretary of the Chinese Communist Party, Xi Jinping, wasted no time in announcing his replacement for the late United States Senator Dianne Feinstein. In a move that has left the world both baffled and impressed, Xi Jinping has once again demonstrated his keen understanding of global politics.

Feinstein, who was recently confirmed to be a mortal human being despite persistent rumors suggesting otherwise, served as a U.S. Senator for decades. Her tenure was so lengthy that many believed she was, in fact, a timeless being who had transcended the limits of mortal existence.

Xi Jinping, recognizing the significance of this vacancy, immediately sprang into action. In a press conference that doubled as a political spectacle, he unveiled his replacement: a life-sized cardboard cutout of Feinstein.

Economy
Dave Ramsey's team offers suggestions for your finances (video)
[FOX via MAIL] Decades-high home mortgage rates, seasonal holiday spending, and student loan payments kicking back in on Sunday are compounding financial pressures Americans are facing.

Financial expert Dave Ramsey and his team doled out some advice to those looking to buy homes, as well as those looking to make it through the holiday season.

On a recent Fox & Friends panel, Ramsey, founder of Ramsey Solutions, said that despite the sky-high interest rates, now still may be the most optimal time to purchase a home for some.

'If you're out of debt and you've got your emergency fund,
...ideally six months of expenses...
prices aren't going to go anywhere but up, even with interest rates going up. So if you get an interest rate you don't like, you obviously can refinance later and get back out of it.
...possibly much later when the federal government isn’t sucking up so much of the loan market to pay for the interest on the national debt...
But the housing market is just stalled ,' he said.

The nationally syndicated radio host added, as he often does, that, for those dealing with financial strain, it is 'time to get on a budget and get on a plan.'

'We got Bloody Sunday with the student loans kicking back in Sunday, and Christmas is bearing down on us,' he noted.

ICYMI: Tyrant Justin Trudeau Moves to Regulate Podcasts and to Analyze and Track Content and Subscribers …Update: Elon Musk Weighs In
Canadian voters getting the teen heart-throb they twice reelected, good and hard.
[Gateway] Canadian tyrant Justin Trudeau’s government recently moved to its next phase of controlling the population. The Trudeau government will now regulate podcasts and track content and subscribers. This tyrannical order comes after Trudeau restricted access to news in Canada last August.

This should come as no surprise, Trudeau previously froze the bank accounts of protesting truckers in Canada. The Trudeau government announced that being "pro-Trump" was a factor they would use to freeze accounts.

Infamous international podcaster Jordan Paterson responded to the the recent move.

The Pangloss-Pétain Presidency
[POWERLINEBLOG] The argument whether Joe The Big Guy Biden
...46th president of the U.S. You're a lyin' dog-faced pony soldier...
is the worst-ever president could be settled by ranking him with the worst people in American history. If that seems too glib or partisan, people might try an historical and literary approach.

For example, Voltaire’s eponymous Candide finds chaos and catastrophe on every hand but his mentor Dr. Pangloss sees it as the best of all possible worlds. According to the good doctor, "It is impossible that things should be other than they are, for everything is right." Like Candide, Americans are confused and bewildered. There’s something happening here, as the Buffalo Springfield said, and by now it’s exactly clear.

As David Samuels said in "The Obama Factor," the landmark interview with David Garrow, this is "the disaster we are living through now." That would be soaring inflation, rising crime, supply issues and so forth. Don’t forget the more than seven million settlers Biden has brought into the country, with no background or health checks, language and job skills.

To clarify, "migrants colonists," are people who come and go. These settlers are here to stay, an imported electorate, new clients for the welfare state, and replacement for Americans who are less than worshipful of Joe Biden. He deeded an airbase and billions in military hardware to the Taliban
...Arabic for students...
and called it an "extraordinary success." Biden expects Americans to say the same about the disaster we are living through now. The Delaware Democrat is the Pangloss president, but there’s more to it.

Back in 1940, French WWI veteran Philippe Pétain, already in his 80s, struck an armistice with the German National Socialist invaders, then in alliance with Stalin’s Soviet Union. The Nazis made Pétain head of their puppet government in Vichy, allowing him to govern parts of La Belle France under their supervision.

The classic 1942 film Casablanca shows a mural of Pétain with his famous slogan, "Je tiens mes promesses, meme celles des autres," — "I keep my promises, even those of others." That’s Joe Biden all day long.

The Delaware Democrat is a dutiful collaborator with globalist billionaires, the United Nations
...aka the Oyster Bay Chowder and Marching Society...
and World Health Organization. As Biden said in 2019, the Chinese are "not bad folks," and the "Big Guy" has financial entanglements with China’s Communist regime through son Hunter. Under Biden, China can fly a surveillance balloon across America, including sensitive air bases.

Biden is also the puppet of the domestic woke left, imposing nihilistic trans ideology on the people. When a trans assassin guns down three six-year-old children and three adults in Nashville, the Delaware Democrat won’t even say their names or condemn the shooter. According to Biden’s White House mouthpiece, the shooter was the one under attack.

Joe Biden has erased any doubt that he is the collaborator-in-chief, the Pétain president. If the present slide continues, Biden could be the national undertaker. In the meantime, it will be interesting to see how the PBS presidential hagiographers dish up the Delaware Democrat.

Israel-Palestine-Jordan
Israeli, Saudi officals fear US insistence on Palestinian issue can harm normalization
[IsraelNationalNews] Israeli officials and even Saudi ones are reportedly frustrated with the American administration's insistence on giving the Palestinian issue so much weight in the talks to reach a tripartite agreement between Saudi Arabia, the US, and Israel. Israel Hayom reported on Monday, citing sources that are informed of the details, that the Biden administration's exaggerated obsession with the issue is impeding the process of normalizing ties and halting any breakthroughs.

One of the sources stated that disagreements regarding the central issues on the agenda, including the US-Saudi defense pact and the Saudi nuclear program, are not highly significant and can be overcome.

On the other hand, the source says the American emphasis on the Palestinian issue is so excessive that it can be the thing that collapses the entire process. Saudi officials criticized the US administration's insistence on the issue as well.
Well, what do you expect from people who invented BLM?
*shrug* So then they’ll have to continue quietly working out conditions on the ground, as they’ve apparently been doing for the past two decades, then formalize it as soon as a Republican is sworn in.

The Palestinian Authority admits there's no ‘Israeli occupation'
[Jpost] The Israeli occupation of the Palestinian Arabs ended 30 years ago. Don’t take my word for it. Just ask the Palestinian Authority.

The PA recently submitted a request to UNESCO to recognize the city of Jericho as a “Palestinian heritage site.” In its description of the history of the region, the PA’s request refers to “the time of Israeli Occupation (1967-1994).” Thus, the PA has acknowledged, in writing, that Israel’s occupation there ended in 1994.

The same phrase appears in another PA-UN document. In 2008, the PA asked the United Nations to help improve its tax-collecting policies. After a two-year study, the PA’s Finance Ministry and the United Nations Development Program published a report titled “Diagnostic Study of Property Tax in the Occupied Palestinian Territory.”

The report surveyed the history of tax collection in the area, so it was forced to acknowledge the changes between the years that Israel occupied Palestinian Arab cities and the years after the occupation ended. Thus, on page 49, we find Section 6.1, which is titled “Taxes in the occupied Palestinian territory – Israeli Occupation (1967-1994).”

Why does this matter? Because there is an entire cottage industry of pundits, politicians, and advocacy groups whose agenda depends upon claiming that there is an “Israeli occupation.”

They need to be able to point an accusing finger at Israel, in order to justify their demand for Palestinian statehood. They need to be able to portray Israel as an oppressor in order to excuse Palestinian Arab violence. They need to pretend Israel still occupies the Palestinians, in order to make it seem as if Israel is to blame for their lack of elections and civil rights.

Of course, anybody who visits any city in the PA-governed territories, can see with their own eyes that there are no Israeli soldiers. No Israeli military governor. No Israeli military administration. Prime Minister Yitzhak Rabin withdrew them all, three decades ago.

RABIN AND THE WEST BANK
WHEN RABIN was elected in 1992, he faced a serious dilemma. On the one hand, he recognized that allowing the Palestinian Arabs to establish a sovereign state in Judea-Samaria-Gaza would pose a grave threat to Israel’s existence. Israel would be just nine miles wide in its middle, next door to a state run by terrorists and dictators.

A Palestinian terrorist armed with a shoulder-fired missile, standing inside the sovereign borders of “Palestine,” would be able to shoot down a plane taking off from Ben-Gurion Airport. No sane country would accept such a nightmarish existence.

On the other hand, Rabin was uncomfortable having Israel continue to rule over the Palestinian Arabs in those territories. So, he devised the Oslo Accords, which ended Israel’s occupation of the Palestinians and gave them something close to statehood, but without endangering Israel’s existence.

In 1994, Rabin withdrew from the city of Jericho and almost all of Gaza. Then, in 1995, Rabin withdrew from all the other cities in Judea-Samaria where 98% of the Palestinians reside; and Ariel Sharon later withdrew from the rest of Gaza.

Thanks to Rabin’s solution, it is the Palestinian Authority, not Israel, that occupies 98% of the Palestinian Arabs. The streets of their cities are policed by the Palestinian security forces. Palestinian principals and teachers run the schools. The courts have Palestinian judges. When elections are held (although it has been a while), the candidates and the voters are all Palestinians. Pretty much the only thing the Palestinian Authority can’t do is import tanks, planes, Iranian “volunteers,” or North Korean missiles.

Thanks to Rabin’s solution, today’s status quo ensures Israel’s Jewish majority, retains Israel’s defensible borders, and guarantees all faiths free access to their religious sites. At the same time, it allows nearly all of the Palestinian Arabs to live under their own government. They live in an entity that is close to statehood in every respect except those few aspects that would endanger Israel’s existence.

Of course, this situation is far from ideal. But it’s better than being nine miles wide.
