Over SIXTY Miami cop cars swarm marketplace after brawl broke out between unruly youngsters armed with sticks and 'throwing fireworks'
[Daily Mail, where America gets its news]
  • The incident took place at around 10:30 p.m. at Bayside Market Place, a festival area in downtown Miami

  • Police told DailyMail.com that city officers were on the scene for crowd control after the juveniles refused to leave

They claimed that no injuries have been reported and no arrests have been made yet - but it still took dozens of police officers and cars to get the situation under control.

However, police did tell CBS Miami that later on Monday night, a driver was beaten up by a group of 15 young people, which they believe was in connection to the fight at the marketplace. It's unclear if any arrests have been made or if the driver was hospitalized.

A number of local businesses were forced to temporarily close to allow authorities to respond to the fighting.

Police said that the juveniles have since 'scattered' and most of the police presence has been cleared.

According to witnesses who spoke to Local 10, the juveniles were attempting to throw fireworks at one another.

A person in the area who witnessed the fracas via a liverstream told 7News what he saw, a group of girls cornering one another and fighting before word got out that police were on the scene.

By around 11:30 p.m. local time, Miami police posted to X that the area had been cleared and traffic was flowing normally.

Terror cops probe suicide note and journal in hotel room after two are killed when Ford Expedition packed with explosives plowed into 1,000-strong crowd leaving rock concert in upstate New York
[Daily Mail, where America gets its news] Detectives are probing a suicide note and journal found in the hotel room of a terror suspect who allegedly drove a vehicle packed with explosives into spectators at an upstate New York rock concert.

Michael Avery, 35, of Syracuse, is believed to have left the memos behind before he killed a couple and injured five others by mowing his SUV into a crowd watching the band Moe at the Kodak Center in Rochester just before 1am on Monday.

A Ford Expedition sped towards the crowd and struck a Mitsubishi Outlander that had been operating as an Uber, sending both vehicles 'through a group of pedestrians that were in the crosswalk' and causing a fiery explosion.

Once the flames were doused, firefighters 'located at least a dozen gasoline canisters in and around' the Expedition, prompting police to bring in an arson team and alert the FBI.

Avery suffered critical injuries and was transported to an area hospital where he later died. Sources familiar with the case told the New York Post it is believed he suffered from bipolar depression.
That’ll do it.
A crowd of pedestrians had been crossing at the crosswalk in front of the venue when an Expedition heading eastbound struck an Outlander that was leaving a nearby parking lot at around 12.50am.

The force of the crash caused both vehicles to go through the crowd and into two other vehicles before erupting into a large blaze that took the fire department more than an hour to extinguish.

Two passengers in the Outlander were killed and their Uber driver was taken to Rochester General Hospital with non-life-threatening injuries, according to police.

Three pedestrians who were struck were also taken to area hospitals, with one of them in critical condition.

Avery was also hospitalized with critical injuries. He died from his injuries around 8pm on Monday.

It is understood that Avery rented the extra-large SUV before heading to the concert venue.

He also rented a hotel room in Rochester before the suspected terror attack. Police reportedly searched the room and recovered both a suicide note and journal.

Investigators have also planned to conduct a search of a storage unit in north Syracuse that has been linked to the suspect.
Unless someone deliberately aimed him, this is merely a lurid crime by a tortured man who should have been locked up in one of the long-closed mental institutions.

-Short Attention Span Theater-
Major emergency response as three booms and shakes are felt on New York's Roosevelt Island: Firefighters are urgently 'trying to find the source' as they probe 'manhole fires'
[Daily Mail, where America gets its news] Firefighters have initiated an emergency response protocol after 'three booms and shakes' were felt in New York City's Roosevelt Island early Tuesday morning.

Crews were called to the 580 block of Main Street, south of the Roosevelt Island Bridge & Tram, just before 6am after receiving reports of an explosion and building shaking, FDNY told DailyMail.com.

Roosevelt Island residents reported being woken up this morning to at least 'three instances of a boom and a shake', with the third vibration being 'felt further away'.

Firefighters remain at the scene and are 'trying to find the source' of the possible explosion.

NYPD has said the blast could have been caused by a transformer - a device which transfers electric energy from one circuit to another while decreasing the voltage.

EMS personnel claimed FDNY crews are investigating 'multiple maintenance hole fires', reports alleged.

Emergency responders have 'reported feeling vibrations' in both Roosevelt Island, Manhattan and Queens and allegedly requested that energy firm Con Edison 'address power outages at several buildings'.

No injuries have been reported in the incident and the investigation remains ongoing.

JAL flight 516 Airbus A-350 Tokyo Haneda Airport Miracle
[MAIL] A large airliner carrying 379 passengers exploded today at an airport near Tokyo after colliding with a coastguard plane as it came into land, Japanese media reported.

Shocking footage showed the Japan Airlines jet engulfed in a raging inferno as it sat on the runway at Haneda Airport, in Ota City, Tokyo, with gouts of flame seen pouring out of the passenger windows.

One horrific clip showed the flames licking from the airliner's main cabin door as smouldering debris fell from the fuselage onto the tarmac, while another showed passengers sprinting along the runway to escape the blaze.

A Japan Airlines spokesperson told Japanese broadcaster NHK that all 379 passengers aboard the aircraft - JAL flight 516 Airbus A-350 - at the time of the explosion were successfully evacuated from the stricken plane.

There has been no official confirmation of casualties or injured, but a successful evacuation of all passengers and crew would be a truly miraculous feat given the blaze completely gutted the plane and melted through huge chunks of its bodywork.

Images from the scene showed how the passenger escape slide protruding from one of the airliner's doors was set ablaze as more flames burned within the cabin.

A coastguard official confirmed a coastguard plane was involved in the incident, with NHK reporting one crewmember had escaped that plane but five others remained unaccounted for.

The Japanese Airlines flight had flown out of Shin Chitose airport in Japan and was landing at Haneda airport when the disaster occurred.

#1  Haneda International Airport, (like many Int airports), during certain peak periods of the day, is an accident waiting to happen every second.

Food For Thought: Remember, many of these Airports were built 40++ years ago. When Air Travel was 50%, or less than what it is now and have little room for expansion.

We see it here in the USA, where some super busy, or lame A$$ Stoned Air Traffic controller misses a flight intrusion conflict.
Here in the USA alone, the FAA is seeing 45+K flights a day and up to 5,400+ in the air at any time.

So the FAA data from just Dec. 15th 2023 to Dec. 29th, 2023 is worrisome. FAA Aviation Safety Information Analysis and Sharing (ASIAS)

Major earthquake hits Japan
More on this story from yesterday.
[AFRICANEWS] A formidable earthquake struck central Japan on Monday, resulting in the loss of at least one life, widespread building destruction, power outages in tens of thousands of households, and compelling residents in coastal regions to seek refuge on higher ground.

The seismic event, boasting a preliminary magnitude of 7.6, generated approximately 1-meter-high waves along Japan's west coast and adjacent South Korea. Authorities have cautioned that more significant waves may ensue, heightening concerns for the affected regions.

The Japan Meteorological Agency (JMA) promptly issued tsunami warnings for the prefectures of Ishikawa, Niigata, and Toyama. Initially, Ishikawa faced a major tsunami warning — the first since the devastating March 2011 earthquake and tsunami in northeastern Japan — but this was subsequently downgraded. Russia and North Korea

Distinguishing features include Songun (Army First) policy, which involves feeding the army before anyone but the Dear Leadership, and Juche, which is Kim Jong Il's personal interpretation of Marxism-Leninism, which he told everybody was brilliant. In 1950 the industrialized North invaded agrarian South Korea. Twenty-one countries of the United Nations eventually contributed to the UN force opposing the invasion, with the United States providing around 90% of the military personnel. Seventy years later the economic results are in and it doesn't look good for Juche...
also issued tsunami alerts for specific areas.

As rescue operations intensify, the aftermath is revealed with houses reduced to rubble, fires raging, and military personnel mobilized to assist. Government spokesperson Yoshimasa Hayashi conveyed that authorities are diligently evaluating the extent of the damage.

Regrettably, one elderly man lost his life in Shika Town, Ishikawa, following a building collapse, as reported by broadcaster NTV, citing local police.

DRC: Protests erupt in Goma as opposition challenges election results
[AFRICANEWS] Protesters in Goma erupted into the streets on Sunday, responding to the opposition's call for mobilization against the results of the Democratic Republic of the Congo
...formerly the Congo Free State, Belgian Congo, Zaire, and who knows what else, not to be confused with the Brazzaville Congo aka Republic of Congo, which is much smaller and much more (for Africa) stable. DRC gave the world Patrice Lumumba and Joseph Mobutu, followed by years of tedious civil war. Its principle industry seems to be the production of corpses. With a population of about 74 million it has lots of raw material...
's presidential election, which saw President Felix Tshisekedi re-elected with over 70% of the vote, according to the country's election commission.

The preliminary results, announced in Kinshasa, faced opposition demands and civil society calls for a rerun due to significant logistical issues casting doubt on the validity of the outcome.

Tshisekedi's victory was followed by businessman Moise Katumbi with 18% and Martin Fayulu with 5%. Nobel Peace Prize winner Denis Mukwege, known for treating victims of sexual violence, received less than 1%.

With a turnout of more than 40%, the election saw 18 million people casting their votes. The results are now slated for confirmation by the constitutional court, as stated by election chief Denis Kadima.

China-Japan-Koreas
Group that rescues Americans from hot spots preparing for possible Taiwan operation
[Washington Examiner] A nonprofit organization dedicated to saving Americans abroad whose lives are at risk is currently preparing for the possibility they may conduct rescue missions in Taiwan and mainland China ahead of a possible conflict.

China views the island of Taiwan as a rogue province and has threatened to take it by force, and while the U.S. does not recognize Taiwan's independence, it also does not want to see any unilateral shift in the status quo. Beijing's military modernization and nuclear expansion, plus its more aggressive posture toward Taiwan, have raised concerns that China could try to take Taiwan militarily in the coming years.

Project Dynamo is a nonprofit organization made up of former U.S. military and intelligence officials who came together in August 2021 to rescue Americans who were unable to leave Afghanistan before the military withdrew at the end of the month and were essentially left behind. Since then, they have continued their effort to rescue Americans that the U.S. military was not planning on saving at that time in countries across the world.

"I think the answer is maybe, or it depends," Bryan Stern, a combat veteran and the founder of Project Dynamo, told the Washington Examiner when asked if they'd carry out rescue missions in mainland China as well as Taiwan. "I think it remains to be seen if Americans are stuck and we can get them out from wherever they are...."

He added, "There's a lot more Americans in China than there are in Taiwan, even though there's plenty in Taiwan. If you're an American in China [when the war starts], it's also going to be a crummy day. You know what I mean? It's not just about Taiwan. Mainland China is pretty rough, too. The way we're kind of conceptualizing it is what do we do for Americans that are in mainland China, where the Americans won't be the most popular team in town on that day."

American researchers have, for years, been at the center of the COVID-19 origins debate.

However, it has now been revealed that they have misled the U.S. government about their research partnership with the Wuhan lab.
