[Breitbart] A man allegedly caught with millions of dollars’ worth of drugs at a Chicago airport on October 24 was let off fairly easy for the time being.
The suspect, Terrence Slaughter, 55, is accused of having $3.5 million worth of cocaine in his bags at Chicago Midway International Airport, CWB Chicago reported Tuesday.
An image shows the man in question:
A man who allegedly carried 62 pounds of cocaine worth $3.5 million in his luggage at Midway Airport was sent home to await trial after prosecutors didn't ask a judge to keep him in jail.https://t.co/iaBYZfrQur
However, a judge released him and said he was to remain in Illinois until he is due back in court, the outlet continued:
Terrence Slaughter, 55, was arrested at Midway on October 24, the 16th anniversary of the day a federal judge sentenced him to 15.67 years for stealing guns from a retired cop and intentionally selling them to gang members, according to court records.
Slaughter was eventually charged with Class X manufacture-delivery of the drug, but prosecutors failed to request Judge David Kelly hold the suspect before his trial date.
“So, the judge released him with instructions to show up for court, stay in the state, and stay away from Midway, the clerk of court records show,” the report said.

[NYP] Florida authorities arrested 19 squatters last week after they allegedly destroyed a vacant motel, creating a "really atrocious scene" and causing $15,000 in damages.
The squatters were charged with trespassing at a former Budget Inn in Gainesville where police have responded to dozens of times in the past, WCJB reported.
"This time there were a lot of people there, a lot of damage to the facilities. They had broken into the utilities. There was an enormous amount of drug paraphernalia and alcohol," county spokesperson Mark Sexton told the Gainesville Sun.
"It was just a really atrocious scene that we found."
It took three hours for the local sheriff’s department to clear 36 rooms, including some that were barricaded from the inside, the newspaper reported.
[Daily Caller] Co-founder Tucker Carlson talked with stand-up comedian and podcaster Theo Von about everything ranging from Big Pharma and shower etiquette to the erection-inducing properties of oral nicotine pouch brand Zyn.
In the new episode posted Tuesday, Von and Carlson talked about a range of lighthearted topics while also delving deeply into concerns about the future of the United States.
Within the first few minutes, Carlson asked Von to identify the fattest person with whom he has ever showered. The topic came up as the two discussed things they’d rather not see on Twitter.
"You don’t want to see fat people in the shower, you don’t want to see people on the john, there’s a lot of things that happen that you don’t want to necessarily take a video of," Carlson said, with Von responding that he finds the sight of fat people showering with skinny people to be comical.
[Outdoors] n reaching the 1,300-mile mark, the Bettis family is officially more than halfway done hiking the famous AT, which is just under 2,200 miles long and passes through 14 states in the eastern U.S.
Bettis is a single mom attempting the massive thru-hike with 13 of her biological children, who range in age from four to 22. While 13 of her kids are on the trail full time, two of her adult children (ages 25 and 18) join the family when they can to section hike the trail with their siblings.
In a post dated July 18, Bettis explains: "13 [kids] are on trail full time and the other two section hike with us as they can, as both chose to keep their jobs and are caring for our home and other dogs."
Bettis says the family has been on the trail since March 8, 2023. They hope to finish the thru-hike by mid-October. While she admits some days are hard, Bettis says the experience has brought the family closer together.

While she admits some days are hard
Many "hard days" I might suspect. Perhaps he died of natural causes. Benefit of the doubt and all that. Image trying to find a new mate with that many feet already at the table.
Hat tip to her for soldiering on, regardless of the circumstances. Her reward may come much later.
Again, benefit of the doubt and high praise for endurance.
[FoxNews] A heavily armed man who appeared to be planning to shoot up a mountain top amusement park at Glenwood Caverns Adventure Park in Colorado, killed himself before carrying out his plan, according to authorities. First line of defense against 'tommyknockers'.
The Garfield County Sheriff’s Office said park officials found the 20-year-old man dead inside the park on Saturday morning before opening to the public.
Authorities said the man apparently broke into the park while it was closed, adding he was armed with an AR-style rifle, a handgun and explosives.
The man was also wearing tactical clothing and body armor.
Sheriff Lou Vallario said a message was found written on the wall of the women’s bathroom where the man was found, which read, "I am not a killer, I just want to get into the caves."
The sheriff could not verify whether the man who was found dead wrote the message.
Investigators searched the man’s vehicle and reportedly found explosive devices, though when the rest of the park was searched, no other explosives were found.
"While this investigation is still ongoing and very active it is important to realize that given the amount of weaponry, ammunition, and explosive devices found, the suspect could have implemented an attack of devastating proportions upon our community and first responders," Garfield County Sheriff’s Office spokesperson Walt Stowe said.
The sheriff’s office said the man was local to the area. He was also found to be in possession of extra loaded magazines for each of the two weapons he had when he was found dead.
Stowe said the man had patches and emblems on his clothing that made it appear that he was a member of law enforcement.
According to reporting from the Glenwood Springs Post Independent, Stowe said the man’s death was being investigated as a possible suicide.
Glenwood Caverns Adventure Park is on a mountain near the Colorado River in western Colorado. It is known for its cave tours, alpine coaster and swing ride that sits on the edge of a cliff and sends riders over a canyon.
According to MSN, the man lived with his mother and brother about half an hour away. Some of the explosives were fakes, and:
The FBI and other agencies are now helping Garfield County authorities with checking the social media posts and cellphone records of the man, Diego Barajas Medina, as part of their investigation.

For heaves sake, all you have to do is move everyone's time zone to the one to the east. Eastern to Atlantic, Central to Eastern, Mountain to Central and Pacific to Mountain. End of issue.
[Tenth Amendment Center - April 2022] The powers not delegated to the United States by the Constitution, nor prohibited by it to the States, are reserved to the States respectively, or to the people."
Before the Tenth Amendment was even drafted or considered, supporters of the Constitution told the people that the document would be structured under the same principle. That is, all powers not delegated are reserved.
In Federalist 45, James Madison put it this way:
The powers delegated by the proposed Constitution to the federal government are few and defined. Those which are to remain in the State governments are numerous and indefinite.
In his State House Yard Speech months earlier, James Wilson made the same case:
Congressional authority is to be collected, not from tacit implication, but from the positive grant expressed in the instrument of union.
And in a December 1787 letter, Roger Sherman did as well:
The powers vested in the federal government are only such as respect the common interests of the Union, and are particularly defined, so that each State retains its sovereignty in what respects its own internal government, and a right to exercise every power of a sovereign State not delegated to the United States.
But rather than being only a line in the sand between federal and state power, the 10th Amendment is actually a legal "rule of construction." With its partner the 9th Amendment, it tells us how to read the entire Constitution.
Madison explained in his Report of 1800:
Whenever, therefore a question arises concerning the constitutionality of a particular power; the first question is, whether the power be expressed in the constitution. If it be, the question is decided. If it be not expressed; the next enquiry must be, whether it is properly an incident to an express power, and necessary to its execution. If it be, it may be exercised by Congress. If it be not; Congress cannot exercise it.
Thomas Jefferson considered this so essential he referred to the 10th Amendment as "the foundation of the Constitution."
As noted by Sherman above, the 10th Amendment is also an affirmation of sovereignty. In the American system, no government is sovereign — it’s the People of the Several States who hold final authority.
James Wilson described it this way:
The truth is, that, in our governments, the supreme, absolute, and uncontrollable power remains in the people. As our constitutions are superior to our legislatures; so the people are superior to our constitutions.

The foundation of our Constitution rests on the contractual nature of natural law. Man is sovereign unto himself, but consents to limitations through a contractual agreement with the state in return for defined protections and limits on the state's power. Our Constitution is a contract between citizens and our government, wherein the citizens agree to limits on their inherent sovereignty for benefits and protections. It does not grant rights to our citizens, rather, it defines what rights the citizens defer to the government to exercise. The 10th Amendment is the confirmations of the sequestration of those contractual rights between the federal government, whose primary purpose is the protection of the Union and the more robust roles the States play in the conduct of justice courts and the economy. The 16th and 17th Amendments are major factors in the creeping erosion of the intent of the 10th, leading to the monstrosity on the Potomac we have today!

We are sending the Taliban millions because they are supposedly teaming with us against ISIS. In reality they have turned the country into a Per Diem hub for AQ training. They are also subjugating their own people. Lindsey Graham seems uninterested. He wants new wars.

Vector, think tick and mosquito. You can control dispersion and you can’t not get bit.
Sub-Saharan Africa be lacking Neanderthal DNA. But reality is the anti parasitics they routinely take are more likely the reason. we’ve known since 2019 gm mosquitos leave trace dna elemnts in their victims and can retain trace dna. Modifying the breed and changing its dna. I contend Covid 19 is a virus mutated in conjunction with blood parasites found in mosquitos. Hence the high success rate of anti parasitics in treatment.
[CA] It’s been five years since the Warped Black Honey was released, but the limited-edition, Miami-made cigar is heading to retailers today. And if you don’t get any this time around, you’ll have to wait another six years before they’re available again.
Measuring 5 inches long by 48 ring gauge, Black Honey is a belicoso with a dark wrapper from Ecuador, two Ecuadoran binders and filler from Nicaragua and the Dominican Republic. It’s made at the El Titan de Bronze factory in Miami’s Little Havana section. Brand owner Kyle Gellis says the cigar is the combination of two existing blends.
[ZERO] Starting last month, top Ukrainian officials began pushing an alarmist narrative that "world war 3 has already begun" - as the head Ukraine’s National Security and Defense Council Aleksey Danilov had claimed in early September. The words were spoken after it became clear that Ukraine's military was losing, and now Time magazine has confirmed the military doesn't have the manpower to fight off the Russians. Naturally, Kiev must find new ways to draw in more direct support of key European powers.
"If somebody thinks that World War III hasn’t started then it’s a huge mistake. It has already begun. It had been underway in a hybrid period for some time and has now entered an active phase," Danilov said before the Kiev Security Forum at the time (early Sept). More than a month later, some European leaders have begun to echo the same warning.
Significantly, this week Germany Defense Minister Boris Pistorius said in a media interview that German residents must start getting used to the idea of the specter of war in Europe.
