Walmart customer on a motorized scooter has a huge meltdown and punches a cop in the FACE after he accused her of stealing
[MAIL] This is the shocking moment a woman on a motorized scooter punches a cop in the face during a meltdown in Walmart after being accused of stealing.

The suspect is seen arguing with the officer by the checkouts before attacking him in the outrageous clip from last week.

It is unclear what the cop says to her, but she screams back: 'Yes, I did. Yes, I did,' over and over again.

It is also unclear as to what Walmart store this video was filmed at.

Entire Air Force Squadron's 'irresponsible' drinking lands them in hot water
[Fox News] The 721st Aerial Port Squadron said the ban would be lifted when 'the trend is corrected'

An entire Air Force squadron is facing a ban on drinking outside their living quarters after a pattern of "irresponsible alcohol consumption" by members of the unit.

Members of the 721st Aerial Port Squadron, which is based out of Ramstein, Germany, were told in a memo of the new policy, which says that "alcohol consumption outside of your dorm or residence is prohibited" between the hours of midnight and 6 a.m. and also "within eight hours of any shift."

The memo, entitled "Updated Alcohol Policy," was first posted to the popular Air Force amn/nco/snco Facebook page and later reported by Military.com. According to the memo, the "irresponsible" consumption of alcohol by members of the squadron is "putting the lives of our airmen at risk and we will aggressively address this trend."

Ghana protesters demand central bank governor resign
[AFRICANEWS] Thousands of Ghanaians flooded the streets of Accra on Tuesday, demanding the removal of the central bank governor, Ernest Addison, citing mismanagement of the economy during a severe debt crisis.

This crisis, described as the worst in a generation, has fueled growing frustration over rising living costs, unemployment, and economic hardships in one of West Africa's largest economies. Similar protests had already gripped the capital last month.

The demonstrators, under the watchful eye of riot police, marched to the central bank's headquarters, all while playing reggae music from speakers and echoing calls for Addison and his two deputies to step down. Many participants donned red and black attire, symbolizing mourning.

Emmanuel Quarcoo, 29, who is currently unemployed, expressed his dissatisfaction, stating, "We want Addison out because he has shown us that he is not able to manage the Bank of Ghana. How can the Bank of Ghana incur such a significant loss? What are they selling?"

In July, Ghana's central bank reported a record loss of 60.8 billion cedi ($5.3 billion) for 2022, primarily due to debt restructuring. In response to the crisis, Ghana, known for its production of gold, oil, and cocoa, has entered into a $3 billion, three-year loan program with the International Monetary Fund (IMF). Debt restructuring is one of the prerequisites for accessing these funds.

The protests underscore the mounting concerns and calls for accountability amidst economic challenges in Ghana.

Blundering cartel gunmen kill their own boss after mistaking him for rival in wild hospital shootout
[NY Post] Don't ya hate when that happens?
A Mexican cartel boss reportedly was killed by his own men after they mistook him for a rival gang member during a wild shootout at a hospital — and one of the blundering hitmen then turned the gun on himself after realizing his error.

The gun battle broke out at a private hospital in Culiacán, Mexico, on September 28 and left four people dead — among them a secretive Sinaloa Cartel chief known as El 22.

El 22 was said to have been in charge of the criminal organization’s illicit operations in Guamúchil, Sinaloa, on behalf of jailed drug lord Joaquin "El Chapo" Guzman’s sons, known collectively as "El Chapitos."

The cartel honcho arrived at the Culiacán Hospital Clinic last Thursday night to pay for the surgery of a fellow Sinaloa Cartel member, Omar Silvano, who had been wounded in a shooting in the town of Badiraguato three days earlier, according to the Spanish-language El Blog del Narco.

But cartel foot soldiers who were guarding Silvano at the hospital reportedly mistook El 22 for an assassin coming to execute their injured comrade — and opened fire on him, according to the Daily Star.

A shootout at the Culiacán Hospital Clinic in Mexico left four people dead, among them a Sinaloa Cartel boss who was reportedly gunned down by his own men in a case of mistaken identity.

Harrowing surveillance video from inside the hospital showed armed men running through the hallways with guns drawn and a person’s lifeless body lying on the floor.

One of the hapless gunslingers who allegedly shot their boss dead required medical attention after attempting to commit suicide. It was not immediately clear if he survived.

The gunfight inside the clinic left four people dead, among them three alleged cartel members and Dr. Otneil Montoya, who was caught in the crossfire.
Dr. Otniel Montoya was shot dead when he was caught in the crossfire at Culiacán Clinic Hospital on Thursday.

The medic was a married father of two young daughters, one of them an infant.

Silvano, the wounded gangster, who was undergoing treatment at the hospital, was killed with a gunshot to the abdomen after allegedly trying to take a police officer’s gun as he was being transferred to Culiacán General Hospital’s emergency room.

The shooting also injured a woman, who required medical attention after a bullet struck her in the hand.

Videos later shared online showed that the sons of "El Chapo" had sent wreaths to El 22’s funeral.

Chinese submarine crew die after being stuck: UK intel report claims
[GEO.TV] As many as 55 Chinese sailors were claimed to have died after the nuclear submarine got stuck in a trap set for the United Kingdom sub-surface vessels, according to an intelligence report quoted by Daily Mail Tuesday.

The UK report read: "Intelligence reports that on the 21st of August, there was an onboard accident whilst carrying out a mission in the Yellow Sea."

The report stated that everyone aboard died due to the poisoning of the submarine oxygen crew underwater.

According to reports, China has denied any such incident.

It further read: "Incident happened at 08.12 local resulting in the death of 55 crew members: 22 officers, 7 officer cadets, 9 petty officers, 17 sailors. Dead include the captain Colonel Xue Yong-Peng. Our understanding is death is caused by hypoxia due to a system fault on the submarine. The submarine hit a chain and anchor obstacle used by the Chinese Navy to trap US and allied submarines."

"This resulted in systems failures that took six hours to repair and surface the vessel. The onboard oxygen system poisoned the crew after a catastrophic failure," added the report.

The UK report, which is based on defence intelligence, is held at a high classification.

A British submariner offered this explanation: "It is plausible that this occurred and I doubt the Chinese would have asked for international support for obvious reasons."

"If they were trapped on the net system and the submarine's batteries were running flat [plausible] then eventually the air purifiers and air treatment systems could have failed."

"Which would have reverted to secondary systems and subsequently and plausibly failed to maintain the air. Which led to asphyxia or poisoning."

"We have a kit which absorbs CO2 and generates oxygen in such a situation. It is probable that other nations do not have this kind of tech."

The similar kind of Chinese submarines are 351ft long and are armed with torpedoes.

55 Chinese sailors are feared dead after nuclear submarine 'gets caught in a trap intended to snare British and US vessels in the Yellow Sea'
[DM]
  • Twenty-two officers were among the 55 reported to have died in the Yellow Sea

  • China denies it happened - and apparently refused international assistance

Fifty-five Chinese sailors are feared dead after their nuclear submarine apparently got caught in a trap intended to ensnare British sub-surface vessels in the Yellow Sea.
Hoisted with their own petard.
According to a secret UK report the seamen died following a catastrophic failure of the submarine's oxygen systems which poisoned the crew.
A dreadful way to die.
The captain of the Chinese PLA Navy submarine '093-417' is understood to be among the deceased, as were 21 other officers.

The UK report into the fatal mission reads: 'Intelligence reports that on 21st of August there was an onboard accident whilst carrying out a mission in the Yellow Sea.

A type 093 submarine was apparently caught in a trap designed to snare British/US vessels

'Incident happened at 08.12 local resulting in the death of 55 crew members: 22 officers, 7 officer cadets, 9 petty officers, 17 sailors. Dead include the captain Colonel Xue Yong-Peng.

'Our understanding is death caused by hypoxia due to a system fault on the submarine. The submarine hit a chain and anchor obstacle used by the Chinese Navy to trap US and allied submarines.

'This resulted in systems failures that took six hours to repair and surface the vessel. The onboard oxygen system poisoned the crew after a catastrophic failure.'

As yet there is no independent confirmation of the suspected loss of the Chinese submarine in the public domain.

Beijing has dismissed open source speculation about the incident as 'completely false' while Taiwan has also denied internet reports.

Mail Plus approached the Royal Navy to discuss the details contained in the UK report but official sources declined to comment or offer guidance.

The UK report, which is based on defence intelligence, is held at a high classification.

A British submariner offered this explanation: 'It is plausible that this occurred and I doubt the Chinese would have asked for international support for obvious reasons.

'If they were trapped on the net system and the submarine's batteries were running flat (plausible) then eventually the air purifiers and air treatment systems could have failed.

'Which would have reverted to secondary systems and subsequently and plausibly failed to maintain the air. Which led to asphyxia or poisoning.

Elon Musk Hits a Speed Bump: Tesla Suffers First Quarter-On-Quarter Sales Decline in Years
[Breitbart] Elon Musk’s Tesla suffered its first quarter-on-quarter sales decline in years, prompting concerns about America’s appetite for electric vehicles. Analyst Dan Ives explains, "Even when factoring in the factory shutdowns with no rose-colored glasses, Tesla clearly missed the Street with bulls left disappointed."

Fortune reports that in a landscape where Tesla has long been synonymous with strong growth, the company’s third quarter performance left much to be desired. Elon Musk’s car company reported a notable dip in vehicle sales, marking its first quarter-on-quarter decline in sales since the inception of Model Y production in January 2020.

The figures tell a stark tale: deliveries plummeted to a little over 435,000 in the three-month span through September, marking a 6.7 percent drop compared to the second quarter. This unexpected downturn has been attributed to a series of upgrades to the company’s manufacturing plants, a move that was previously flagged by Musk during a second-quarter earnings call — but not everyone is accepting the excuse.

"Even when factoring in the factory shutdowns with no rose-colored glasses, Tesla clearly missed the Street with bulls left disappointed," remarked Dan Ives, managing director for equity research at Wedbush Securities known for his insight on Tesla. This sentiment echoes through the investor community, where the unexpected dip has been met with a blend of disappointment and speculative curiosity.

Despite the drop in deliveries, Tesla remains steadfast in its annual projections, affirming its guidance for the production of approximately 1.8 million vehicles for the year. The company’s strategy to navigate through this financial hiccup hinges on the forthcoming launch of the all-new Cybertruck and a refreshed version of the Model 3 sedan, both of which are anticipated to fortify the fourth quarter with robust sales.

The Cybertruck faces headwinds as it launches, with one designer describing it as a "low polygon joke:"

DOT Invests $100 Mil to Help Disadvantaged Communities by Fixing Broken EV Chargers
[Judicial Watch] Besides subsidizing the electric vehicle (EV) industry with a staggering $15.5 billion, the Biden administration is investing an additional $100 million in federal funding to prioritize the repair and replacement of EV charging stations throughout the U.S. The venture will "ensure disadvantaged communities benefit from upgraded charging infrastructure," according to the Department of Transportation (DOT), which is doling out the money. The costly EV charger project is part of the administration’s Justice40 Initiative which requires 40% of all federal government investments to flow to "disadvantaged communities that are marginalized, underserved, and overburdened with pollution." The president signed an executive order within days of taking office to allocate unprecedented public funds to poor minority communities in the name of environmental justice.

The multi-million-dollar EV charger restoration project will operate under a Justice40 initiative known as National Electric Vehicle Infrastructure (NEVI) Formula Program that provides states with money to strategically deploy charging stations and establish an interconnected network to facilitate data collection, access and reliability. "The Biden-Harris Administration has set a goal of building a convenient, affordable, reliable, equitable, and Made-in-America electric vehicle (EV) charging network along the Nation’s highways and within our communities," according to the grant announcement issued this month by the DOT. Because it is a Justice40 program the feds will use a White House Climate and Economic Justice Screening Tool to track how assisted chargers aid needy communities. "Recipients of awards under this program can also use the tool to ensure disadvantaged communities benefit from upgraded charging infrastructure," the grant document states, adding that "the tool can be used to help prioritize and sequence projects to maximize benefits to disadvantaged communities."

The White House launched the Climate and Economic Justice Screening Tool in response to the president’s January 2021 order to tackle the "climate crisis at home and abroad." The directive includes an extensive section dedicated to securing environmental justice for disadvantaged, historically marginalized and overburdened communities, by among other things, creating a White House Environmental Justice Interagency Council consisting of top government leaders. The heads of key federal agencies—including the attorney general, secretaries of defense, labor, transportation and energy—were essentially ordered to address environmental justice in minority and low-income populations. "Agencies shall make achieving environmental justice part of their missions by developing programs, policies, and activities to address the disproportionately high and adverse human health, environmental, climate-related and other cumulative impacts on disadvantaged communities, as well as the accompanying economic challenges of such impacts," according to Biden’s order.

China's XPeng ships 750 Electric Vehicles to Israel in bid for market share
[Jpost] Chinese electric-vehicle (EV) manufacturer XPeng has reaffirmed its commitment to global expansion with a recent shipment of 750 electric vehicles to Israel. The shipment, the largest single batch for the year, underscores XPeng’s aggressive push to extend its presence beyond its domestic market.

Via a strategic partnership with local partner Freesbe, XPeng said it aims to create a robust sales and service network across major Israeli cities, including Tel Aviv, Haifa, and Jerusalem, and plans to complete this network by 2024.

The move is a significant step toward establishing a foothold in Israel, according to Eric Xu, XPeng’s vice president of international markets.

ISRAEL LOVES CHINESE EVS
XPeng’s approach to Israel is part of a larger trend of an increasing number of Chinese EV manufacturers attempting to break into the Israeli market. The growing popularity of Chinese EVs in Israel is attributed to a number of factors, including their competitive prices, long ranges, and advanced features.

Chinese EV makers are also investing heavily in marketing and sales in Israel, which is helping to drive demand for their products. For the most part, these brands have done a fair job in finding success. Chinese brands accounted for more than 62% of all EV sales in the first three quarters of 2023, the Israel Vehicle Importers Association reported this week.

XPeng’s entry into the Israeli market, despite its strategic moves, does not guarantee an effortless journey. The landscape is becoming increasingly competitive as more Chinese EV brands, including Chery Automobiles, Skywell, and Aiways, make their presence known in Israel. Nevertheless, this does not guarantee that these newer brands will easily secure a substantial market share.

The Israeli EV market is firmly in the grip of four established leaders: Geely, BYD, Tesla, and Hyundai. These brands have already established a significant foothold in the country, benefiting from their early entry, robust product offerings, and strong manufacturer support. They also enjoy the advantage of well-established sales and service networks that were built over time through partnerships with large importers.

As newer entrants such as XPeng and others attempt to penetrate the Israeli market, they will face a challenging uphill battle. They must compete not only with the established leaders but also with the unique characteristics and preferences of the Israeli EV market.

These challenges may include adapting their products to local consumer tastes, addressing supply-chain issues, and establishing robust sales and service networks to gain a competitive edge in a market that is currently dominated by a select few.
