Who Could Have Seen this Coming
[HotAir] The Sam Brinton
.. the lipstick-wearing, cross-dressing, former senior Energy Department official with a penchant for stealing other people’s suitcases at airports — this is one of three cases that “they” is thus far accused of — then wearing the results. His specialty was nuclear waste...
— who was until his resignation last year was among the highest-ranking, non-binary officials in the federal government — was sentenced Wednesday in a Nevada court.

Under the agreement, Brinton agreed to a $3,670.74 in restitution to the victim and accept a suspended jail sentence of 180 days, meaning Brinton won’t go to jail if the rules of probation are followed.
Why am I not surprised? I thought these thefts were felonies.

Lawsuit Exposes B-1 Visa Fraud in College-Grad Jobs
[Breitbart] American professional Michael Harmon has just earned about $1 million by exposing visa fraud within an Indian company that does subcontract work for Fortune 500 companies.

The company defrauded the government by importing Indian college-graduate workers on B-1 visas that are only for non-working business visitors. Harmon exposed the visa fraud and earned a share of the $9.9 million federal fine with his Qui Tam lawsuit.

The Department of Justice said:

L&T Technology Services, LTD (“LTTS”), a company based in India, with U.S. offices in Edison New Jersey, has agreed to pay $9,928,000 to resolve allegations that between 2014 and 2019, LTTS underpaid visa fees owed to the United States by acquiring inexpensive B-1 visas, rather than more expensive H-1B visas, in alleged violation of the False Claims Act.

“The B-1 visa is the main vehicle to cheat American [college graduates] out of jobs,” said Jay Palmer, an expert on forced labor and human trafficking, and a former advisor to President Donald Trump. He continued:

Companies encourage [foreign] individuals to get a B-1 visa to come to the United States and work. They work these workers on 1099s [as contractors] with no benefits and they pay them through third-party consulting companies. Sometimes, the worker will be able to get an Individual Tax Identification Number and work undetectably for 10 years.

The fraud behind this visa is more rampant than any other visa we have in the United States.

Palmer applauded Harmon the whistleblower, saying, “Being a whistleblower is not an easy task — you have to have intestinal fortitude.”

Several other B-1 qui tam lawsuits are being litigated.

#3  Is that Yiddish or Hebrew? It can’t be told by looking, as Yiddish is written using the Hebrew alphabet, and I only had a ten week course in Yiddish at Hebrew school. While my father spoke Yiddish fluently, it was one of the languages he did not share with my mother, so I never heard it at home, either.

Budweiser spews words
[TWITCHY] As the CEO of a company founded in America’s heartland more than 165 years ago, I am responsible for ensuring every consumer feels proud of the beer we brew.
I didn't found it, but I woulda if I'd been around. But I wasn't. That's why I didn't.
We’re honored to be part of the fabric of this country. Anheuser-Busch employs more than 18,000 people and our independent distributors employ an additional 47,000 valued colleagues. We have thousands of partners, millions of fans and a proud history supporting our communities, military, first responders, sports fans and hard-working Americans everywhere.
We like it that we make a lotta money so our kids can go to schools like Harvard and that sort of thing. Lotsa people have jobs with AB and it'd be a shame if they lost them. Lotsa people depend on us.
We never intended to be part of a discussion that divides people. We are in the business of bringing people together over a beer.
We didn't know it was loaded. We're trying not to bleed out here... Ma?...It's getting darker! Izzat you, Ma?
My time serving this country taught me the importance of accountability and the values upon which America was founded: freedom, hard work and respect for one another. As CEO of Anheuser-Busch, I am focused on building and protecting our remarkable history and heritage.
I wuz in the Marines, y'know. If it's raining shit don't forget yer umbrellla...
I care deeply about this country, this company, our brands and our partners.
I spend much of my time traveling across America, listening to and learning from our customers, distributors and others.
I care deeply about my job and keeping my family fed. I spend much of my time traveling across America in a carriage pulled by eight Clydesdale, wearing clothing so fine it can't even be seen by dullards.
Moving forward, I will continue to work tirelessly to bring great beers to consumers across our nation.
Wanna buy some beer? We're having a sale.

#5  The real question is not the several billion dollars of losses since this thing blew up, but any net change in the financial picture of the entire company. According to Wikipedia, these are Anheuser-Busch’s brands:

Major Brands
Budweiser and Bud Light, including variations
Michelob and variations
Rolling Rock
Busch
Shock Top
Natural
Johnny Appleseed hard cider
Land Shark Lager

Acquired Craft Beer Breweries
Goose Island
Blue Point
10 Barrel
Elysian
Golden Road
Four Peaks
Breckenridge
Karbach
Wicked Weed

Malt Liquors
King Cobra
Hurrican
Spykes

Then there are the specialty beers and AB’s minority investments in independent breweries.

Also, how long any change might last. The entire managerial class is convinced that conservative consumers will not long remember their desire to punish for this insult, but will soon drift back to old purchasing habits.

South Dakota Governor Kristi Noem sparks outrage after telling NRA audience her ONE-year-old granddaughter 'already has a shotgun and rifle'
[Daily Mail, where America gets its news] Toy guns or real? In her possession, only used with adult supervision, or held by her parents until she is old enough to be trusted with the things?
  • South Dakota Governor Kristi Noem made comments at an NRA conference her almost one-year-old granddaughter, Little Miss Addie, has a shotgun and a rifle

  • Noem mentioned her granddaughter as she signed an executive order during an event aimed at further protecting Second Amendment rights in South Dakota

Minneapolis becomes first major American city to allow broadcast of five Muslim calls to prayer per day year-round
[Daily Mail, where America gets its news]
  • Minneapolis is the first major American city to allow the Muslim call to prayer, or adhan, to be broadcast over loudspeakers five times a day, year-round

  • It follows a unanimous vote by the city council to amend the city's noise ordinance after some morning and evening calls were previously prevented

  • Three of 13 members of the council, Aisha Chughtai, Jeremiah Ellison and Jamal Osman, identify as Muslim

  • The move is seen as a victory for the city's burgeoning population of East African immigrants,
    ...ie. Somali...

SCOTUS Rules 9-0 Against Administrative State
[Epoch Times] A Supreme Court ruling on April 14 made it easier to challenge the reach of two powerful federal agencies—the U.S. Federal Trade Commission (FTC) and the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC).

In its new red tape-cutting decision, the Supreme Court took steps to rein in the so-called administrative state and reaffirm the separation of powers doctrine. The idea behind the doctrine is to discourage the concentration of power and make sure there are checks and balances.

Critics of the administrative state claim that in-house adjudications carried out by agencies are unfair because the tribunals, unlike regular courts, lack fixed evidentiary rules, allowing the agencies to function as prosecutor, judge, and jury. They argue that the tribunals are unconstitutional because they are not politically accountable.

The litigants challenging the agencies argued they should be able to contest the way the tribunals are constituted in federal courts without first having to launch a lengthy, expensive challenge within the administrative system.

But the Biden administration argued that challengers may only proceed to court after losing in potentially expensive, protracted agency proceedings.

The new ruling encompasses two cases: Axon Enterprise Inc. v. FTC, court file 21-86, and SEC v. Cochran, court file 21-1239.

On April 14, the Supreme Court ruled (pdf) unanimously against the agencies. The court’s opinion was written by Justice Elena Kagan. Justice Neil Gorsuch did not join the court’s opinion; instead, he concurred in the judgment of the court but filed a separate opinion explaining his reasons for supporting the end result.

#4  "naphtali.gilead@virgin.net" wrote:
Dear Sir/Madam,
You may be surprised to receive this letter from me since you do not know me personally. I am Mr Naphtali Gilead, the first son of
Johnson Gilead, the most popular black farmer in Zimbabwe who was murdered in the land dispute in my country. I got your contact
through network online hence decided to write you.
Before the death of my father, he had taken me to Johannesburg to deposit the sum of USD14.5 million (Fourteen million five hundred
thousand United States dollars), in one of the private security company, as he foresaw the looming danger in Zimbabwe this money was deposited in
a box as gem stones to avoid much demurrage from security company. This amount was meant for the purchase of new machines and chemicals for the Farms and establishment of new farms in Swaziland. This land problem came when Zimbabwean President Mr. Robert Mugabe introduced a new Land
Act Reform wholly affecting the rich white farmers and some few black farmers, and this resulted to the killing and mob action by Zimbabwean war veterans and some lunatics in the society. In fact a lot of people were killed because of this Land reform Act for which my father was one of the victims. It is against this background that I and my family fled Zimbabwe to South Africa for fear of our lives.
After which I traveled to the Spain and I am currently staying in the Spain where I am seeking political asylum and more so have decided
to transfer my father’s money to a more reliable foreign account. Since the law of Spain prohibits a refugee (asylum seeker) to open any bank account or to be involved in any financial transaction throughout the territorial zone of spain. As the eldest son of my father I am saddled with the responsibility of seeking a genuine foreign account where this money could be transferred without the knowledge of my government who are bent on taking everything we have got. The South African government seems to be playing along with them.
I am faced with the dilemma of moving this amount of money out of South Africa for fear of going through the same experience in future. Both countries have similar political history. As a business man, I am seeking for a partner who I have to entrust my future and that of my family in
his hands, I must let you know that this transaction is risk free. If you accept to assist me and my family, all I want you to do for me, is to make arrangements with the security company to clear the Consignment (funds) But before then all modalities will have to be put in place like change of ownership to the consignment and more importantly this money I intend to use for investment.
I have two options for you. Firstly you can choose to have certain percentage of the money for nominating your account for this transaction. Or you can go into partnership with me for the proper profitable investment of the money in your country.
Whichever the option you want, feel free to notify me. I have also mapped out 5% of this money for all kinds of expenses incurred in the process of this transaction.
If you do not prefer a partnership I am willing to give you 10% of the money while the remaining 85% will be for my investment in your
country. Contact me through my confidential email address: naphtali.gilead@virgin.net
I implore you to maintain the absolute secrecy required in this transaction

Thanks, GOD BLESS YOU

Yours Faithfully,
Naphtali Gilead

Economy
Consumer spending is falling fast
[The Hill] Retail sales fell 1 percent in March, according to Census Bureau data released Friday. Analysts had expected sales to fall just 0.4 percent.

Retail sales are up 2.9 percent annually, but when adjusting for elevated inflation sales are actually down 2 percent annually — meaning Americans are buying fewer products.

Spending at gas stations, general stores, electronics retailers, car dealerships and furniture stores saw significant drops. Online spending was the only area where sales picked up, rising 1.9 percent in March.

The data will only reinforce predictions of a recession later this year. Consumers have been dealing with sky-high prices for years, and it has eaten into their finances.

"A downshift in spending attitudes should come as no surprise," EY-Parthenon senior economist Lydia Boussour said in a note. "The cumulative effect of historically high inflation, rising interest rates, and reduced access to credit is already taking a toll on consumers’ ability and willingness to spend."

National Retail Federation chief economist Jack Kleinhenz made the case that the sector will still see sales growth this year, attributing the drop in part to easing inflation.

US Approves First 3 COVID ‘Vaccine' Injury Claims, Pays Out A Total of $4,634.89
[Gateway] The US government approved three payments to Americans injured by the experimental COVID-19 vaccine, amounting to a mere total of $4,634.89.

One $2,019.55 payment was issued to a Covid vaccine recipient who developed anaphylaxis from the jab and two payments — $1,582.65 and $1,032.69 — for myocarditis by the Health and Resources Service Administration’s Countermeasure Injury Compensation Program, according to a HRSA vaccine injury report published April 1.

Compensation in the anaphylaxis case was pending since the fall of 2021 and the two myocarditis cases had been pending review since January, as the vaccine-injured recipient underwent a "medical benefits review" to determine payment.

The Countermeasures Injury Compensation Program was established under the Public Readiness and Emergency Preparedness Act, which shields pharmaceutical companies from liabilities acquired from "countermeasures," including vaccines administered during a public health emergency.

#1  public health emergency

A lot of hysteria to establish that 'emergency', as well as maintain it for three years. CDC public records show the worst death total was January, 2021 and the worst case load - over a million cases in one day - was January, 2022. But the number of cases resulting in death was 0.37%, somewhere in the influenza category.

Another data point: For the last 12 months, the pneumonia deaths have exceeded the COVID deaths.

#3  Approving cases is the same as knotting their own noose. The establishment will make winning any case extremely tedious and with lowball payouts to discourage the use of lawyers. The media will use the low case success rate as proof of vaccine safety. Developing real adverse reaction stats will have to be done by backtracking a hundred percent of the people vaccinated at a particular location or some similar methodology.
Posted by: Super Hose || 04/15/2023 8:55 Comments || Top||

#4  They have to lowball this. When they get through the first hundred million or so potential cases, there won't be any boodle left to pay political retirements. Can't have that.

John Brennan sez MTG not fit to hold public office
And whatt's MTG say about John "Scowly Face" Brennan?
[Breitbart] Former CIA Director John Brennan Friday on MSNBC’s "Deadline" Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-GA) was "not fit to hold public office" because of comments she made about the Air National Guardsman Jack Teixeira accused of leaking classified information.

Greene tweeted, "Jake Teixeira is white, male, Christian, and antiwar. That makes him an enemy to the Biden regime. And he told the truth about troops being on the ground in Ukraine and a lot more. Ask yourself, who is the real enemy? A young, low-level national guardsmen? Or the administration that is waging war in Ukraine, a non-NATO nation, against nuclear Russia without war powers?"

Host Nicolle Wallace said, "Liz Cheney tweeted this, ’Marjorie Taylor Greene makes clear yet again she cannot be trusted with America’s national security information and should not have a security clearance of any kind.’ I wanted to know why she does. She apparently sits on the Homeland Security Committee, of all things. Do you agree, though?"

Brennan said, "From my perspective, I think Marjorie Taylor Greene has demonstrated time and time again that she’s not fit to hold public office
It takes one to know one...
with some of her commentary that she has made, even previously. And so therefore, I believe she should not be involved in any type of sensitive, classified information. And she does have some clearances because of her role within the Congress and position on the committee."

Security steps in as Ron DeSantis is rushed by protestors who leap on stage during his New Hampshire speech
[Daily Mail, where America gets its news]
Maybe they should have 'stepped up' before the ladies hit the stage.
  • Two women rushed Ron DeSantis during a speech in New Hampshire

  • 'Jews Against DeSantis,' they yelled
...both were blond and well groomed, looking more sorority girl than Antifa, but as Gov. DeSantis pointed out, tickets to the event cost $150...
  • DeSantis garnering national attention amid speculation he'll run for president
No doubt, some of Florida's Jews voted for the guy

#1  The internet reveals that as of 2016 there were about 3,000 households with at least one Jew, leading to an estimate of 10,000 out of New Hampshire’s 1.3 million population (0.8%, if I got all the decimals in the right places).

#2  I was born in NH and visited my grandparents there until they passed. It always seemed to be sort of a demographic backwater where you couldn’t necessarily just extend national averages into Granite State reality. The Jewish demographic might hold up, but I don’t think it would hold for many other minorities. Note - my NH data collection is not recent.
