NYPD shoots dead gunman who opened fire near carollers during a Christmas concert on front steps of Manhattan's St. John the Divine Cathedral
[Daily Mail, where America gets its news] shooting a dead gunman seems like overkill...
  • A gunman opened fire on the front steps of St. John the Divine Cathedral in Harlem during a Christmas show with singing carolers around 3.45pm

  • He was reportedly 'firing into the air' and at police officers

  • About 400 people had attended the event, no one was injured in the shooting

  • The gunman was shot by police doing security for the event, hospitalized and died from his wounds, NYPD tells DailyMail.com

  • City councilman Mark D. Levine said the man appeared to be mentally ill

  • He said the man climbed the church's scaffolding shouting that he wanted to be killed and fired 'indiscriminately in the air'

  • Cops recovered two semiautomatic guns from the suspect

  • They also recovered a backpack that contained a full can of gasoline, rope, wire, multiple knives, a Bible and tape

BREAKING BIG: CISA Emergency Directive Calls on ALL Federal Civilian Agencies to Review Compromise and Disconnect or Power Down SolarWinds Orion Products Immediately
[Gateway Pundit]
Via the Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency.

WASHINGTON – The Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency (CISA) tonight issued Emergency Directive 21-01, in response to a known compromise involving SolarWinds Orion products that are currently being exploited by malicious actors. This Emergency Directive calls on all federal civilian agencies to review their networks for indicators of compromise and disconnect or power down SolarWinds Orion products immediately.

“The compromise of SolarWinds’ Orion Network Management Products poses unacceptable risks to the security of federal networks,” said CISA Acting Director Brandon Wales. “Tonight’s directive is intended to mitigate potential compromises within federal civilian networks, and we urge all our partners—in the public and private sectors—to assess their exposure to this compromise and to secure their networks against any exploitation.”

This is the fifth Emergency Directive issued by CISA under the authorities granted by Congress in the Cybersecurity Act of 2015. All agencies operating SolarWinds products should provide a completion report to CISA by 12pm Eastern Standard Time on Monday December 14, 2020.

The liberal media is blaming the attack and breach on the Russians.

#4  BREAKING: Michigan judge orders RELEASE of audit report on Dominion voting machines

Dec 14 - Moments ago, Michigan state judge Kevin Elensheimer ordered the release of a redacted report on the results of an examination of the Dominion voting machines in Antrim County, Michigan.

The results had been shielded by a protective order, but this morning, Judge Elensheimer removed that order, clearing the way for the audit results to go public.

The judge further ordered that the case move to the discovery phase and mentioned the case could go to trial by April of 2021.

Our products give organizations worldwide, regardless of type, size or IT infrastructure complexity, the power to monitor and manage the performance of their IT environments, whether on-premises, in the cloud, or in hybrid models.

You'd think a wide-ranging, multi-tentacled outfit like that would be really hard to hack. And it's not a NASA project, either!

#11  Future CNN Headline
(Humor)

Today, Rep. Adam Schiff (LSD-CA), the Chairman of the House Permanent Select Committee on Intelligence, sent a letter to AG Hillary Clinton strongly requesting she close the meaningless Dominion/DNC/China Special Council investigation that was appointed by Trump. Since all the files were burned up with a 747 crash into the evidence file storage location. Which prompted the former Special Council suddenly to hang himself after being shot stabbed and run-over on the SCOTUS steps at 2am.

AG Clinton was directed to use all available resources including the Media to look into the Trump / SolarWinds Orion / Russian connection.

Acting President K. Harris at the CHINA/IRAN/USSA summit agreed with this recommendation. "Stating that we must explore all means of convicting Trump before the 2024 Election roll around to avoid a repeat of Voters nearly actually picking their Congressional electors."

#12  Was on a call with CISA where they gave info. Top points if any administrative ranters need them:

  • Orion Platform software versions 2019.4 through 2020.2.1 HF 1

  • Full admin rights from these systems allowed attackers to move laterally through the network

  • APT is installed throughout the infected networks
    Very widespread

  • If your network used the Orion version, reformat of all systems to be expected
Change administrator or service accounts that SolarWinds used

  • Assume breach if you don’t see the listed dlls in the blog post. Malicious actors have been known to clean up behind them.

  • Block all C&C IPs listed in blogpost

U.S. Treasury breached by hackers backed by foreign government - sources
[Rooters] Hackers backed by a foreign government have been monitoring internal email traffic at the U.S. Treasury Department and an agency that decides internet and telecommunications policy, according to people familiar with the matter.
Hillary?
"The United States government is aware of these reports and we are taking all necessary steps to identify and remedy any possible issues related to this situation," said National Security Council spokesman John Ullyot.

There is concern within the U.S. intelligence community that the hackers who targeted the Treasury Department and the Commerce Department's National Telecommunications and Information Administration used a similar tool to break into other government agencies, according to three people briefed on the matter. The people did not say which other agencies.
Mumble mumble...FBI, CIA, ...
The hack is so serious it led to a National Security Council meeting at the White House on Saturday, said one of the people familiar with the matter.

The hack involves the NTIA's office software, Microsoft's Office 365. Staff emails at the agency were monitored by the hackers for months, sources said.
comforting
A Microsoft spokesperson did not immediately respond to a request for comment.

The hackers are "highly sophisticated" and have been able to trick the Microsoft platform's authentication controls, according to a person familiar with the incident, who spoke on condition of anonymity because they were not allowed to speak to the press.

"This is a nation state," said a different person briefed on the matter. "We just don't know which one yet."
China, China, China, Iran, Russia, China?

If China or Russia, this is non-WoT, so lets leave it there until we have evidence to move it to WoT.
The full scope of the hack is unclear. The investigation is still its early stages and involves a range of federal agencies, including the FBI, according to the three people familiar with the matter.

The FBI, Homeland Security Department's cybersecurity division, known as CISA, and U.S. National Security Agency did not immediately respond to a request for comment
The Jerusalem Post adds it’s probably Russia:
The US government has not publicly identified who might be behind the hacking, but three of the people familiar with the investigation said Russia is currently believed to be responsible for the attack. Two of the people said that the breaches are connected to a broad campaign that also involved the recently disclosed hack on FireEye, a major US cybersecurity company with government and commercial contracts.

In a statement posted to Facebook, the Russian foreign ministry described the allegations as another unfounded attempt by the U.S. media to blame Russia for cyberattacks against U.S. agencies.

The cyber spies are believed to have gotten in by surreptitiously tampering with updates released by IT company SolarWinds, which serves government customers across the executive branch, the military, and the intelligence services, according to two people familiar with the matter. The trick - often referred to as a "supply chain attack" - works by hiding malicious code in the body of legitimate software updates provided to targets by third parties.

In a statement released late Sunday, the Austin, Texas-based company said that updates to its monitoring software released between March and June of this year may have been subverted by what it described as a "highly-sophisticated, targeted and manual supply chain attack by a nation state."

The company declined to offer any further detail, but the sheer diversity of SolarWind's customer base has sparked concern within the US intelligence community that other government agencies may be at risk, according to four people briefed on the matter.

SolarWinds says on its website that its customers include most of America's Fortune 500 companies, the top 10 United States telecommunications providers, all five branches of the US military, the State Department, the National Security Agency, and the Office of President of the United States.

Leak reveals Chinese Communist Party members working in Aust, UK and US consulates
[Auzzie Sky News] A data leak has uncovered at least ten Shanghai consulates have Chinese Communist Party members in senior positions.

An exclusive report by Sharri Markson in The Australian revealed some of the CCP members have been employed in the consulates - including the Australian, British and American consulates - for up to sixteen years.

While there is no evidence of spying for the Chinese government, intelligence officials have labelled it a breach of protocol and a risk to national security.

Update from yesterday's story which is found at this link.

#5  "...some of the CCP members have been employed in the consulates - including the Australian, British and American consulates - for up to sixteen years."

Uhhh - nothing new here. This has been going on - overtly - for decades. Foreign consulates in the PRC were FORCED to hire local nationals from the Diplomatic Service Bureau - a one stop shop for all your HR solutions! Of course they were party members. How else wold they even be allowed to apply for the job? We knew that going in. Again nothing new here re: employees at consulates. We ASSUME everyone of them gets a thorough talking to on a regular basis.

Sorry to say but most intelligence officials seem to focus on the "official" part and neglect the "intelligence" part. Working level is good to go in my experience.

I can only speak definitively about the diplomatic realm. I suspect the private sector knew that many of the folks they hired were party members. It follows that the most educated, connected people are going to be members of the party. If the private sector didn't see that, shame on them.

#11  Once upon a time, there was an old farmer who had worked his crops for many years.

One day his horse ran away. Upon hearing the news, his neighbors came to visit. “Such bad luck,” they said sympathetically, “you must be so sad.”

“We’ll see,” the farmer replied.

The next morning the horse returned, bringing with it two other wild horses.

“How wonderful,” the neighbors exclaimed! “Not only did your horse return, but you received two more. What great fortune you have!”

“We’ll see,” answered the farmer.

The following day, his son tried to ride one of the untamed horses, was thrown, and broke his leg. The neighbors again came to offer their sympathy on his misfortune. “Now your son cannot help you with your farming,” they said. “What terrible luck you have!”

“We’ll see,” replied the old farmer.

The following week, military officials came to the village to conscript young men into the army. Seeing that the son’s leg was broken, they passed him by. The neighbors congratulated the farmer on how well things had turned out. “Such great news. You must be so happy!”

The man smiled to himself and said once again.

“We’ll see.”

This Is Huge: ‘It’s a Real Simple Fact to Prove that There Was Massive Fraud in This Election’ – Inventor of QR Code Can Prove It
[GatewayPundit] IT Expert Jovan Hutton Pulitzer, the inventor of platform known as ‘QR Code‘ which is on about 12 billion devices around the globe, believes ballots can be scanned to determine validity.

When I started looking at ballots… I realized that everybody was speaking geek…It’s a real simple fact to prove that there was massive fraud in this election.

…We can take the physical ballot, the image scan of the ballot in the machine, the CVR file in the machine, and I can even take a shredded bag of ballots and do what we do. I want everybody to understand these physical ballots from the election, when they go into the machine, it basically makes a duplicate copy. That’s your property as an American citizen. We own it for 22 months after the election. And so when these courts started saying, well you can’t look at it, I realized it was all technical smoke and mirrors, to fool judges, to fool lawyers, to say oh we can’t really do it. So let me tell you how easy it is…

Any smart political operative will figure out how to use these proven tricks to the advantage of his candidate. There will be a fraudulent-ballot arms race, and it will escalate until the system breaks.

Until that collapse, we will not see free and fair, honest elections that have the confidence of the electorate. It will be all Hatfields and McCoys, each side accusing the other of rigging the outcome.

Bill Gates suggests lockdown measures could continue into 2022
Video
[Post Millenium] Bill Gates said in a CNN interview with Jake Tapper Sunday morning that coronavirus-related lockdown measures could continue well into the year 2022.
Perhaps in Blue states, but even there the natives have been engaging in widespread spontaneous civil disobedience — and that’s even before the coming of warm weather and vaccination-induced herd immunity. Vaccinations are scheduled to start today for frontline medical workers and retirement home residents, donchaknow.
Speaking about California Governor Gavin Newsom's latest lockdown orders shuttering businesses across the state, Tapper noted that "there are a lot of governors who oppose bringing back these lockdown orders and forcing businesses to close. He then asked the Microsoft founder and multi-billionaire "what do you think?"

"Well certainly mask-wearing has essentially no downsides," Gates asserted. "Bars and restaurants in most of the country will be closed as we go into this wave, and I think sadly that's appropriate."

"You don't want somebody you love to be the last to die of coronavirus," Gates stated.

Gates asserted that schools, however, should be treated differently due to the low transmission rate among children, suggesting that "trade-offs will have to be made."

Tapper then asked Gates when he thinks life will fully return to normal with "no masks, no social distancing, no other protective measures necessary."
Then the Globalist Tick reveals:
"Certainly by the summer we'll be way closer to normal than we are now," Gates said, but added that the population could still be subject to coronavirus-related restrictions by early 2022 "unless we help other countries get rid of this disease and we get high vaccination rates in our country.

#4  Try this on for size: theree is a generic medication already widely used in Africa that PREVENTS 99% of all cases from getting the COVID, it also prevents hospitalization in >99% of cases if administered upon first deteection, and prevent >95% of cases already in the hospital from progressing to the ICU. Even better, its a SINGLE DOES, and its a pill. And its been around nearly 40+ years so its well known to be safe in almost all cases. The latest reports of multiple real-would studies involving hundres, and thousands of participans PROVES that it reduces the number of cell-associated viral DNA by 99.8 % in 24 hours.

Ivermectin. Start widely distributing that. Sopt the CDC and US Health swamp from deliberately ignoring it - because the swamp wants this to continue so they can consolidate power.

IVERMECTIN. Do it, demand it NOW. No need for rushing a possibly harmful and definitely expensive vaccine (the government is paying millions to Buig Pharma) when we have an effective safe treatment/prophylactive medication thats cheap and widely available.

Call your congressperson and DEMAND that NIH, CDC and the Fuaci Fascists be force to admit the truth of this medication, and start making it the preferred treatment, and making it widespread. The Senate already hear top doctors testifying for this last week.

FORCE THEM TO ACT NOW. No need for masks, distancing, or lockdowns when we have a curative treatment that is as simple as taking a SINGLE PILL.

Ivermectin for COVID19: "If You Take It, You Will Not Get Sick"
[CNSNews] Physician Tells Senate, Ivermectin Is a COVID 'Wonder Drug;' 'If You Take It, You Will Not Get Sick'

Dr. Pierre Kory, an ICU specialist and pulmonologist and researcher, in testimony before a Senate Committee last week (under oath):

"... when I say miracle, I do not use that term lightly, and I don't want to be sensationalized when I say that. That is a scientific recommendation based on mountains of data that has emerged in the last three months. ... In early outpatient treatment, we [in Milwaukee] have three randomized control trials and multiple observation as well as case series showing if you take Ivermectin, the need for hospitalization and death will decrease. ... The most profound evidence we have is in the hospitalized patients. We [in Milwaukee] have four randomized control trials there, multiple observation trials, all showing the same thing, you will not die, or you will die at much, much, much lower rates... It is proving to be a wonder drug."

"we've compiled of all of the emerging data -- we have almost 30 studies. Every one is reliably and reproducibly positive showing the dramatic impacts of Ivermectin. Mountains of data have emerged from many centers and countries around the world, showing the miraculous effectiveness of Ivermection. It basically obliterates transmission of this virus. If you take it, you will not get sick."

Another article - this from the Dominican Republic:

After eight months of active clinical observation and attending about 7 thousand patients of Covid-19 in three medical centers located in Puerto Plata, La Romana, and Punta Cana, Dr. José Natalio Redondo revealed that 99.3% of the symptomatic patients who received care in his emergency services, including the use of Ivermectin, managed to recover in the first five days of recorded symptoms.
Dr Kory's testimony can be found various places on Rumble (and is dodging the censors on Youtube). And it’s simple: the directions for ivermectin say: take ONE PILL with a glass of water. Thats it. One Single dose. No masks, no distancing, no shutdown, no hurried and questionable vaccine needed, results typically within 24 hours so only a 2-3 day isolation at worst.

Ask yourself this: WHY have the CDC and NIH and Fauci's fascists ignored this drug evidence since it first started coming to light in August? Why does information about it get flagged and deleted on facetwit leftist (anti-)social media, and is virtually ignored on Big Media? Think about it: a cheap safe widespread effective cure puts the power elite in the government and big Tech out of the business of controlling the population by scaring them and locking down, and it takes millions of government dollars away from big Med and big Pharm because this is a widely available generic medication. We The People are being played!

#1  I still don't know, understand the chemical virus mechanics. We have been using ivermectin for 3 years for feral animal mite treatments. Typically only topical. Such doses are absorbed safely into the bloodstream in both humans and animals.

We store in the fridge. A 250 ml (8.5 fluid oz) bottles of Aspen Ivermax costs around $20. Topical doses depend on body weight. Some breeds will react badly with temporary nerve issues which manifest akin to stumbling coordination problems. Which dissipate over time.

#7  COVID-19
Numerous studies have been performed on the efficacy of ivermectin in controlling COVID-19,[13] and a protocol named IVERCOR-COVID19 was published in late November 2020 by doctors in Spain for globalized testing purposes.[14] On 10 April 2020 the FDA issued guidance not to use ivermectin intended for animals as a treatment for Covid-19 in humans.[15]

As one example, doctors in Bangladesh completed a randomized, double-blind, placebo-controlled trial pilot study of 72 patients. "A 5-day course of ivermectin was found to be safe and effective in treating mild COVID-19 adult patients... There were no severe adverse drug events recorded in the study." The authors remark that "The drugs are affordable (the full 5-day cost ranges from $.60-$1.8 USD for 5-day ivermectin) and readily available in Bangladesh thus are a highly attractive alternative for treating COVID-19 patients." The study would not have been possible without the contributions of the Governments of Bangladesh, Canada, Sweden and the UK.[7]

#8  Ivermectin was discovered in 1975 and came into medical use in 1981.[10][11] It is on the World Health Organization's List of Essential Medicines.[12] Ivermectin is an FDA-approved anti-parasitic agent.[7]

Pharmacodynamics
Ivermectin and other avermectins (insecticides most frequently used in home-use ant baits) are macrocyclic lactones derived from the bacterium Streptomyces avermitilis. Ivermectin kills by interfering with nervous system and muscle function, in particular by enhancing inhibitory neurotransmission.

The drug binds to glutamate-gated chloride channel receptors (GluClRs) in the membranes of invertebrate nerve and muscle cells, causing increased permeability to chloride ions, resulting in cellular hyper-polarization, followed by paralysis and death.[3][57] GluClRs are invertebrate-specific members of the Cys-loop family of ligand-gated ion channels present in neurons and myocytes.

Pharmacokinetics
Ivermectin can be given by mouth, topically, or via injection. It does not readily cross the blood–brain barrier of mammals due to the presence of P-glycoprotein,[58] (the MDR1 gene mutation affects function of this protein). Crossing may still become significant if ivermectin is given at high doses (in which case, brain levels peak 2–5 hours after administration). In contrast to mammals, ivermectin can cross the blood–brain barrier in tortoises, often with fatal consequences.

Ecotoxicity
Field studies have demonstrated the dung of animals treated with ivermectin supports a significantly reduced diversity of invertebrates, and the dung persists longer.[59]

History
The discovery of the avermectin family of compounds, from which ivermectin is chemically derived, was made by Satoshi Ōmura of Kitasato University, Tokyo and William C. Campbell of the Merck Institute for Therapeutic research. Ōmura identified avermectin from the bacterium Streptomyces avermitilis.[60] Campbell purified avermectin from cultures obtained from Ōmura and led efforts leading to the discovery of ivermectin, a derivative of greater potency and lower toxicity.[61] Ivermectin was introduced in 1981.[62] Half of the 2015 Nobel Prize in Physiology or Medicine was awarded jointly to Campbell and Ōmura for discovering avermectin, "the derivatives of which have radically lowered the incidence of river blindness and lymphatic filariasis, as well as showing efficacy against an expanding number of other parasitic diseases".[63]

Dogs with defects in the P-glycoprotein gene (MDR1), often collie-like herding dogs, can be severely poisoned by ivermectin. The mnemonic "white feet, don't treat" refers to Scotch collies that are vulnerable to ivermectin.[75] Some other dog breeds (especially the Rough Collie, the Smooth Collie, the Shetland Sheepdog, and the Australian Shepherd), also have a high incidence of mutation within the MDR1 gene (coding for P-glycoprotein) and are sensitive to the toxic effects of ivermectin.[76][77] Clinical evidence suggests kittens are susceptible to ivermectin toxicity.[78] A 0.01% ivermectin topical preparation for treating ear mites in cats is available.[79]

SpaceX launches satellite for SiriusXM from Florida
[UPI] SpaceX launched a radio communications satellite for SiriusXM from Cape Canaveral Space Force Station on Sunday afternoon amid blue skids and puffy clouds, two days after scrubbing the flight with 30 seconds until liftoff.

SpaceX had originally targeted the launch of the Falcon 9 rocket for 11:22 a.m. Sunday but pushed it back until 12:30 p.m., which was "optimized for launch and recovery," the company posted on Twitter.

There was a window of one hour and 59 minutes. And the weather had improved to 80 percent "favorable," SpaceX tweeted.

The company didn't say what caused the halt Friday, which occurred before the rocket was to lift off at 12:55 p.m. EST from Complex 40.

Monday’s launch marked the third flight of the Angara rocket, the second test of the heaviest configuration, Angara-5, and the type’s first flight since December 2014. Cleveland Indians to change team name, sources confirm to ESPN
[ABC7NY] CLEVELAND, Ohio -- The Cleveland Indians will be changing their team name, sources confirmed to ESPN.

ESPN's Jeff Passan tweeted Sunday night that sources confirmed the New York Times report about the name change.

It is currently unclear what Cleveland's new team name will be.

The Oneida Nation of New York, which lead the Change the Mascot Movement on the decision to change the team's name released a statement Sunday night saying,

"This is the culmination of decades of work. Groups like the National Congress of American Indians passed resolutions for decades on this, social science has made clear these names are harmful and Cleveland got out in front of it and they're leading, and rather than having this hanging over their heads, they're charting a new path."

The team has been called the Indians for nearly a century.

In 2018, Major League Baseball and the Indians mutually agreed to remove Chief Wahoo from the team's jersey, caps as well as in signage across Progressive Field.

#1  In this PC environment, it was just a matter of time. The Tribe owner, Dolan, is about as limp Richard as they come. But if the Redskins owner Snider can cave in, then most anybody can as well.

105 years of "Indians" soon to be gone. But, come on, I really don't see the tribes of native Americans storming the Bastille over this baseball club nickname. It's a rubbish decision, but, sadly, not unexpected.

#9  ...#1, #2 -

I actually have a certain sympathy for Dolan - it's been known in town for a while that the league has dropped not-so-subtle hints that if he won't change the name, they might just 86 him and find somebody who would. On top of that, I would point out that although there is some pressure on Atlanta to change their name, MLB isn't leaning on them anywhere near as hard - being a major market will do that for you. Cleveland doesn't have enough financial clout, even under the best of circumstances, to effectively resist.

#17  And soon, despite all of the ballyhoo to the contrary and also weirdly because of it, Indians a/k/a Native Americans will disappear from the American cultural landscape entirely. The tribes are shrinking; the best members leaving to join mainstream society (and often marry whites and Hispanics), the less capable dwindling on the reservations. I live at the edge of a "res" and the trends are very clear: 1,100 members living there, 1,200 living outside of it. That later number won't ever move back, their kids will only visit grandma reluctantly, and their grand kids mostly won't qualify for tribal membership at all.

Didn't have to be that way. Some of the tribes (like the Ute) have done reasonably well for themselves. But being remembered via sports and movies as brave and indomitable warriors isn't the worst thing for your cultural self-esteem. Being objects of pity for activists until they move onto the next thing... not so much.
