Texas Gov. Greg Abbott sends first bus of migrants to Colorado
HAHA, the downtown bus station.
LODO Denver. What a shithole.

[FoxNews] Republican Texas Gov. Greg Abbott said Thursday a busload of migrants from his state had arrived in Denver.
*Snicker* Alinsky sez makes them live up to their own rules.
Abbott made the announcement in a press release that the migrants had been bussed from Texas to Denver and dropped off in the city's downtown area.

"Texas' overwhelmed and overrun border communities should not have to shoulder the flood of illegal immigration due to President Biden's reckless open border policies, like his mass catch and release without court dates or any way to track them," Abbott said in the release. "Until the President and his Administration step up and fulfill their constitutional duty to secure the border, the State of Texas will continue busing migrants to self-declared sanctuary cities like Denver to provide much-needed relief to our small border towns."

Abbott has bussed migrants to several cities, including New York City; Chicago; Washington, D.C.; and Philadelphia.

Philadelphia officials said 34 asylum seekers arrived in their city Wednesday from Texas by bus, while another 46 migrants arrived Thursday.

The migrants are from Colombia, Venezuela, Ecuador and the Dominican Republic, according to the update.

Philadelphia has received 23 total buses of migrants since November.

In Chicago — one city taking in migrants being bussed from Texas — newly-elected Mayor Brandon Johnson signed an executive order which establishes a "deputy mayor for immigrant, migrant, and refugee rights."

"Mayor Johnson’s executive order to establish a Deputy Mayor for Immigrant, Migrant, and Refugee Rights makes the new role responsible for the coordination and communication between all applicable City departments and officials related to the City’s efforts to support newly arrived and established immigrants, refugees, and migrants," Johnson's office said in a statement.

NYC Moves Migrants Out of Public School Gym Amid Parent Protests
Nobody wants them.
[Breitbart] New York City Mayor Eric Adams (D) is relocating adult border crossers out of a public school gym in Coney Island, Brooklyn, amid widespread protests from parents and students.

As Breitbart News reported, Adams started carrying out a policy that converts a number of public school gyms into migrant shelters, with potentially hundreds of border crossers and illegal aliens living on campuses as school children are attending classes.

Outraged parents and students protested on Tuesday and Wednesday outside some of the schools where Adams has started housing migrants, providing them with free food as recess is cut for students, including PS 188 in Coney Island.

According to the New York Daily News, Adams is busing border crossers out of the gym of PS 188 and sending them to a massive 450-bed shelter at Touro College. City officials, though, said they are not reversing their policy to turn school gyms into migrant shelters and very well could move border crossers into other gyms in the near future.

“They are moving away from the school sites for now, but reserve the right to use them again if they can’t handle the influx,” a source told the Daily News.

11 Azerbaijani citizens returned to their homeland from Syria
Direct Translation via Google Translate. Edited.
[KavkazUzel] Eight children and three women who were kept in camps in Syria have been delivered to their homeland, the Azerbaijani Foreign Ministry said.

The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that Azerbaijan periodically organizes the repatriation of its citizens who are kept in camps on the territory of Syria and Iraq. So, on November 24, 16 citizens of Azerbaijan, including 13 children, were returned to their homeland. According to the country's Foreign Ministry, over 400 Azerbaijani women and children have been returned from Syria and Iraq in recent years.

Eleven Azerbaijani citizens, including three women and eight children, arrived home by plane on May 18. Previously, they were kept in Syrian camps in Syria, the Azerbaijani Foreign Ministry said.

For the repatriation of citizens, the agency had to establish their location, identity and citizenship, determine the number of people returned and ensure that they could cross Syria into Turkey.

The repatriation was coordinated by the Azerbaijani embassy in Turkey - its employees provided the repatriates with documents for returning to their homeland and air tickets, the ministry said in a statement translated by the "Caucasian Knot" correspondent.

According to the Azerbaijani Foreign Ministry, after the return of former prisoners, conditions will be organized for social rehabilitation and reintegration of repatriates into society.

US court approves extradition of 26/11 attack accused Tahawwur Rana to India
[OneIndia] A US court has approved the extradition of Tahawwur Rana, a Canadian businessman of Pak descent, to India where he is sought for his involvement in the 2008 Mumbai terror attacks.
Ten terrorists laid siege to the city and kept many hostage in various hotels and a Chabad House before killing 166, including the rabbi, his wife, and several of their children. The siege lasted nearly 60 hours before the police gunned down the terrorists. The lone surviving terrorist, Ajmal Kasab sang like a canary, was found guilty and subsequently hanged a few years later at a jail in Pune.
Rana was arrested in the US on an extradition request by India for his role in these attacks in which 10 Pak gunnies laid a more than 60-hour siege, attacking and killing over 160 people, including six Americans, at iconic and vital locations of Mumbai. The US court consented to the Indian request, through the US Government for his extradition.

"The Court has reviewed and considered all of the documents submitted in support of and in opposition to the Request and has considered the arguments presented at the hearing," US Magistrate Judge of the US District Court of Caliphornia, an impregnable bastion of the Democratic Party,, Judge Jacqueline Chooljian, said in a 48-page court order dated May 16, which was released Wednesday.

Background on the Afghan National On FBI Terror List Arrested Crossing Southern Border Illegally Last Week
[KhaamaPress] A group of migrants colonists and an Afghan national on the FBI’s terror watchlist were caught trying to enter the U.S. illegally last week.

According to U.S. Customs and Border Protection authorities, Fox News reported that the suspect—who has not been publicly identified—was apprehended Wednesday while attempting to cross the southern border at Otay Mesa in San Diego, Caliphornia, an impregnable bastion of the Democratic Party,.

The FBI launched an investigation after a fingerprint scan on the Afghan national revealed that he was included in the Terrorist Screening Database.
One wonders how his fingerprints ended up there, and whether under the same name as he claimed at the border...
"The FBI has no comment on your specific inquiry. We are vigilant in our efforts to detect and assess possible threats, and we work closely with our federal, state, and local law enforcement partners to keep our communities safe," a statement from the FBI said, as quoted by CBS 8.

The suspect terrorists’ names and the nature of their alleged crimes are unknown. The incident occurred amid thousands of refugees’ asylum requests at the border.

"The lack of having a comprehensive good immigration program, we are creating those masses on the other side of the border by not having an understandable process," Supervisor Desmond said, as quoted by CBS 8.
How odd. Usually FBI supervisors have full names.

He's a SD County supervisor With more than 70 non-US citizens on the FBI’s terror watch list already detained during CBP’s most recent fiscal year,
...the federal fiscal year begins in the previous September, I believe, making this the six month mark, or therrabout...
2023 will probably see more arrests than the 98 made in the previous year.

During the Trump administration, the emergency measure made it easier for border officials to deport people from specific countries, while after Title 42 expired, thousands of migrants colonists flocked to the border to request asylum in the U.S.

According to Department of Homeland Security data, less than 5,000 of the 77,000 Afghans resettled in the U.S. through a unique legal process have obtained permanent legal status for themselves and their families, and efforts to make them permanent residents are failing in Congress.
No doubt it would help if someone had actually properly vetted the applicants and those they brought with them, but it is hard to have no idea what fate holds in store for the rest.
Tens of thousands of Afghan refugees who fled to the U.S. since the regime change in 2021, their legal status at risk and losing their work permits and protection against deportation this summer.

The Biden administration intends to give these Afghan migrants colonists the opportunity to apply to stay and work in the country legally for at least another two years.

As a result of the Department of Homeland Security’s (DHS) decision, Afghan evacuees who were resettled on a large scale in 2021 and 2022 will have the opportunity to renew their temporary work permits and protections from deportation under the parole immigration policy, CBS News reported.

HRW: The Iraqi Government Is Failing Victims of ISIS in Sinjar

Salim, 42, lost everything when fighters from the Islamic State
...formerly ISIS or ISIL, depending on your preference. Before that they were al-Qaeda in Iraq, as shaped by Abu Musab Zarqawi. They're really very devout, committing every atrocity they can find in the Koran and inventing a few more. They fling Allah around with every other sentence, but to hear western pols talk they're not really Moslems....
(ISIS) stormed his village in the Sinjar district of Iraq in 2014. "We used to have a farm, but ISIS destroyed it," he told Human Rights Watch. "They damaged my home and stole all of my furniture." Since returning to his village in 2016, he has struggled to get back on his feet and support his family.

Salim is entitled to compensation under Iraqi Law No. 20, which allows all Iraqis to claim compensation for damages incurred during "war operations, military mistakes, and terrorist operations;" but obtaining compensation is an uphill battle. An ongoing political dispute between the federal government and the Kurdish Regional Government over governance of the district; an application process that is complicated and expensive; and a failure by Iraqi authorities to distribute allocated funds have created a perfect storm, which has left many Sinjaris in a state of limbo, unable to reclaim their lives and property.

While almost half of the 10,500 applications filed by Sinjaris have been approved, not a single family has yet received a payout under Iraqi Law No.20. This stands in stark contrast to other areas of Iraq, which have all seen at least some compensation awarded.

Around 200,000 Sinjaris remain displaced following years of conflict. Many are living in camps and are hoping that compensation might offer them a route out. But despite the scale of the need, the only Sinjaris to receive compensation have been a small number of Yazidis, a religious minority that were subjected to major abuses by ISIS in Sinjar. Surviving Yazidis were able to apply under the Yazidi Survivors Law, an avenue not available to most Sinjaris.

For Salim, the outlook is grim. He was eligible to file a claim in 2021, but has only recently started working on his application because he couldn’t previously afford the fees or associated costs of applying. He still doesn’t know if he will complete the application. "Given that it will require time and money, I'm not sure if I'll finish it," he said.

For Sinjaris like Salim, compensation would be a critical lifeline in piecing together lives torn apart by conflict. The Iraqi government should urgently address bottlenecks in the compensation process and provide the necessary support that Sinjaris need to begin rebuilding their lives.

Palestinian protester in Old City says ‘we are the people who own Jerusalem’
[IsraelTimes] Muna Barbar, a Paleostinian woman from the East Jerusalem neighborhood of Silwan, says she came to the Moslem Quarter of the Old City as a form of protest against the Flag March.

"I am here because they are here — the people who are occupying our land since 1948," she says. "Every year we come to walk inside our Old City because we are the people who own Jerusalem, which is the capital of Paleostine, and we are the people who live here since my great-great-great-grandfather."

"They come every time this year to gather and convince themselves that Jerusalem belongs to them," Barbar adds. "But all the dancing and flags will end in four hours and then the city will belong again to the residents."

She adds that "Jews have no national rights here. They are only here because they have the guns and the support of America and the Europeans and are trying to make us a minority in Jerusalem."

Not a Terrorist? The Biden Team Killed the Wrong Person Again
[Townhall] What do you expect from a man who’s been on the wrong side of every major American foreign policy initiative over the past 40 years? We’re talking about the man who didn’t want to send US Navy Seals into Pakistan to kill Osama bin Laden. Joe Biden’s foreign policy is littered with incompetence, which goes double when hunting and killing radical Islamic terrorists. In Syria, the Biden administration announced that they had killed a top-level al-Qaeda official, only to walk that back when it turned out they killed the wrong guy (via WaPo):

U.S. military officials are walking back claims that a recent strike in Syria killed an influential al-Qaeda figure, following assertions by the dead man’s family that he had no ties to terrorists but was a father of 10 tending to his sheep when he was slain by an American missile.

Lotfi Hassan Misto, 56, whose family identified him as the victim of a Hellfire missile attack on May 3, was a former bricklayer who lived quietly in this town in northwest Syria, according to interviews with his brother, son and six others who knew him. They described a kind, hard-working man whose “whole life was spent poor.”

The operation was overseen by U.S. Central Command, which claimed hours after the strike, without citing evidence or naming a suspect, that the Predator drone strike had targeted a “senior Al Qaeda leader.” But now there is doubt inside the Pentagon about who was killed, two U.S. defense officials told The Washington Post.

“We are no longer confident we killed a senior AQ official,” one official said. The other, offering a slightly different view, said “though we believe the strike did not kill the original target, we believe the person to be al-Qaeda.” Both spoke on the condition of anonymity to discuss preliminary determinations of an ongoing investigation into the incident.

In the weeks since the attack, U.S. military officials have refused to identify publicly who their target was, how the apparent error occurred, whether a legitimate terrorist leader escaped and why some in the Pentagon maintain Misto was a member of al-Qaeda despite his family’s denials.

In a statement, Michael Lawhorn, a spokesman for Central Command, said officials are aware of reports of a civilian casualty and continue to assess the outcome.

#1  Given WaPo , NYT, CNN and other FAR Left media lately have been outing more Biden mistakes, instead of running cover for him.

Do they also see the writing on the wall about Biden 2024 run given poll numbers?

Or is it because their viewer/reader numbers have tanked, and they are now trying to portray some type of false credibility to get numbers back up for Ad Revenue?

Bassil 'hurt' by Hezbollah, finds 'common ground' with opposition
[An Nahar] Free Patriotic Movement
Despite its name a Christian party allied with Hizbullah, neither free nor particularly patriotic...
chief Jebran Bassil is deeply hurt by Hezbollah, he told Asharq al-Awsat newspaper, in remarks published Thursday.

"There is a big disagreement" Bassil said, adding that the country needs to resist through its economy and the dignity of its people, and not just through arms.

Yet, there is no divorce between the two parties, as Bassil considered communication a must. "Communication with the Axis of Defiance is not severed," Bassil said.

"Dialogue over a presidential agreement is also making progress with the opposition parties, and there are points of agreement, on the names, the approach or the project," Bassil said, although he accused some parties of "stubbornness" that, according to him, led to an unneeded waste of time and delayed dialogue.

"We have no other choice but consensus," Bassil said, stressing that if every party continues to challenge the other party by clinging to its candidate, the vacuum will drag on."
