Donald Trump opens up stunning THIRTY-NINE point lead over Ron DeSantis
2023-11-19
[Daily Mail, Where America Gets Its News] Donald Trump
...Oh, noze! Not him!...
is now 39 points ahead of his rival Ron DeSantis in Florida, a new poll has revealed, in yet more bad news for the struggling state governor.

Trump, 77, won 60 percent of support among registered Republicans polled by the University of North Florida, while DeSantis could only claim 21 percent.

Nikki Haley
...Trump administration's former ambassador to the UN. First woman to serve as Governor of South Carolina, and the second Indian-American governor in the country, after Bobby Jindal of Louisiana. At the age of 39, Haley was the youngest governor in the U.S., a distinction formerly held by Jindal. She is a Republican, which really grates on the Dems...
, Trump's former UN ambassador, came in third with six percent, while Chris Christie, the former governor of New Jersey, won two percent.
like low-fat milk? Ironically
Vivek Ramaswamy, the millionaire entrepreneur and political newcomer whose star has burned brightly but now seems to be fading, won one percent.

The pollsters surveyed 788 people between October 23 and November 4.

#14  DeSantis will be fine. They gave him a dump truck of money to run. His wife will be disappointed that things didn’t work out.

#13  I was a DeSantis booster. He saved Florida from the execrable Andrew Gillum by a nose and won re-election by the biggest margin in Florida history. Turned the state solidly red (and that could change again, so hold your breath) Despite all that, you have to feel at this point there's a giant hole in his store of political savvy to wind up neck and neck or worse with a RINO like Haley.

#12  DeSantis was in Congress. His shot would be to move to the senate, but with two Florida Pubs already there, he has nowhere to go in that direction.

#11  If the good governor never becomes president, he can always run for Congress, which only requires support within his state. Besides, he’d be more effective as president after he gets to know the DC landscape and personalities. One of Donald Trump’s major handicaps as president was that he didn’t know the people or the levers that would move them — and because of that ignorance, he had no idea who to trust... and who to distrust.

#10  #5 Yep. Not just his campaign - his stock outside of FL has taken a major hit. Dems play the long game.

#5  DeSantis played the wrong political cards and continued playing them. IF he had kept the Trumps rants out of the play book, he might looking a VP slot and the White House Oval seat there after.

Whoever were his advisors, I'd be doing an deep check to see if they collected $$$$$$ or future positions from other parties. Because darn sure screwed up his campaign.

#4  That said, DeSantis made a horrible choice to run in this cycle. I have never seen so much political capital evaporate so quickly ever.
