[Regnum] Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan , speaking at a large rally in support of Palestine in Istanbul on October 28, warned Western politicians against unleashing a war of the “cross and crescent.”
“West, I’m addressing you! Do you want to start a new war between the cross and the crescent? If you make such efforts for this, then know that this people is not dead, they are standing firmly on their feet,” Erdogan emphasized.
According to him, it is Western politicians who are responsible for the “massacre” in the Gaza Strip, since they mobilized all forces, including the media, to “legitimize Israel’s war crimes.”
Erdogan stressed that Turkey will declare Israel a war criminal and will do this in front of the entire international community. He called Prime Minister of the Jewish State Benjamin Netanyahu a “true terrorist.” The Turkish President called on Israel to immediately emerge from its “state of madness” and stop attacks on Gaza. He noted that the ongoing Israeli bombing of Gaza, which intensified last night, is leading to the deaths of civilians and thereby worsening the humanitarian crisis.
Also at the rally, he called the adoption by the UN General Assembly of a resolution on the Palestinian-Israeli settlement a positive step.
